Anyone remember k-tool? I need a way to select frames.

I think the name was k-tool, it was basically a free little macro program that someone created that sat in the taskbar and let one select frames/clips with the keyboard, among other things that can only be done with the mouse. I'm trying to delete every other frame and its very hard to do with the mouse so please post a link to it if it still exists.

Try using the Strobe Light effect to achieve, well, the strobe look. Drop it on your clip and try the following settings, assuming 60i video:
Strobe Color: Black, or whatever you want
Blend with Original: adjust to taste; shows some of the original video if >0%
Strobe Duration (secs): 0.0333333 (divide your desired "on" frame duration by the frame rate of your video; in this case 1 frame on, 1 frame off is 1/30)
Strobe Period (secs): 0.0666666 (multiply the Strobe Duration by 2 to cycle the strobe on/off in even increments)
Random Strobe Probability: adjust to taste; adding some will make the effect look less mechanical
Strobe: Operate on Color only if you want the Strobe Color above used, or set to Transparent if you want to overlay over a background (basically toggles alpha channel on and off)
Strobe Operator: no idea, play with until it works for you!
If this is the effect you're going for, this will save you a ton of work, and be much flexible--plus you can turn it off if it's not what you want!

yes and no . You need as well weblogic + soa files as the database schemas (soa_infra, mds...).

Hey Pandorafromtn, Not to rub salt in you open wounds, but prevention would have cost less than $10! Anything that will remove the scratches will most likely ruin the screen. I am aware of a product that works well for fill scratches in eyeglasses. It paints on, is kind of milky semi-transparent then drys to a haze. You then rub / polish until clear. Will it damage the coating on an iPod screen? I don't know. But may be for not, I can't remember the name of the stuff. I guess contact a eye care center, they may be able to help. Replacing the screen would be the best option you have or learn to live with it. In the future use a case and/or screen protector. Or you could start working on your incantations, "Oculus Repairus!" Don't forget the flick of the wrist to get your wand in the correct angle as you state "Repairus". All joking aside, Good luck. Cheers.

Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.

Still a 20 step process, many ways to approch it. Duplicate project and selectively delete everything around it. Or select and copy what you need. I think it could be a year before apple makes that step a 2 or 3 step process.

Need clarification using the selection tool

I have some strange (to me) occurrences while using the 'selection tool'...
Explanation:
I'm using PSE11 on a Win 7 (64) PC.
What I want to do is to create a new pic from an existing pic. The existing pic's background is unsuitable for what I want. But the FG is what I need. I thought that selecting the FG object and placing it into a new pic would be what I needed using the <quick selection tool>.
To do this, I am trying to use the <quick selection tool>. I've had varying degrees of success using it. One main thing I don't understand & pretty much renders my task useless, is the fact that whenever I use <refine edge> so that I can refine my edge selection, my pic is immediately lost or taken away. Since I have no idea as to what's happening, I am forced to close the pic (W/O saving changes, of course) & then re-opening the pic. All's well until I use the <refine edge> button again, then, my pic disappears AGAIN!
There are a few more details about this <selection tool> that I'm muddy on. Is there something where I can read more about its use? I would love to know more, but how? Where?
I am not a constant user of PSE, rather, I only use it on occasions. Normally, I use its scanning features. I may play around with a few other features, but I also know that PSE offers many other powerful features, I rarely, if ever, use.

200% or more is not strange. Remember that your mac has 4 cores (you say it's 3 months old, so I assume it is a new model), so 200% amounts to using 2 of these 4 cores to the max.
Regarding the question of creating a new admin user: while it sits in the same system, it may help if the problem is caused by some user-specific preferences or settings. Not likely in your case, since you seem to have reinstalled from scratch, but still it is worth a try. It takes 5 minutes and may help pinpoint the problem.

Does anyone remember the CrossGrade thing that Apple did a few years ago? My understanding is that it brought academic versions of FCP and Studio up to retail versions. Now I'm trying to upgrade to Studio 2 and the guy at the store who initially agreed with me that this is what the program did and then he went in back of the store to do some research and when he came back says that crossgrade only filled out the disks in the set i.e. if you had FCP 4 Academic and did the CrossGrade you would have Studio 1 Academic... If I misunderstood the program I can admit it but I have been under this belief for so long... So the big question is... Does or did the CrossGrade program bring academic software up to retail/ upgradable versions???

The crossgrade only exchanged Power PC versions of FCP/FCS for Universal Binary (Intel compatible) versions. The software on Retail and Academic versions is identical. The difference is in the license -you would need a completely new serial # to go from Academic to Retail.

My first Apple product in early 1981 was an Apple II+ with twin disk drives and a color monitor. My boss was so impressed with it that he bought me an official Apple Desk, complete with sidearm. It was such a nice piece I kept it all these years and recently gave it to my son for his iMac. Here is what it looks like today. Anyone remember this item? Does anyone remember the old "quasi-arpeggiator" Logic feature?

I seem to recall that I was able to hold down a note (or chord) and Logic would automatically record notes according to a quantisation value such as 16th notes, with note velocities equal to channel pressure.
I know about the arpeggiator in the environment set to "ALL", and I realize that I could build a transformer to map mod wheel or pressure to note velocities, but I think there was another way to do this.
Maybe I'm thinking about Studio Vision? Does anyone remember how to do this?
