Anyone still not seeing the update?

I feel like I'm the only one not seeing the 4.x update...!?!! It's still telling me that 3.2.2 is the updated version (I'm currently on 3.2.1) instead of letting me know about 4.2.1!!
It's been almost 24 hours since the release, and it seems like everyone else has it....??

Thanks for this! I was getting thrown off by the fact that every time I would launch iTunes/connect iPad, the (outdated) message would pop up and I thought it was checking for updates at that moment.
Downloading 4.2 now....

Client (in another domain) is not seeing the updates....

ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 is the SCCM version
It is installed on a domain called domain A. I applied a SUG to Domain A and another domain (Domain B) clients successfully. (100 % success).
However, the nodes on Domain C are not seeing the applied updates in the software centre. Of course the 'nodes' are showin in SCCM console as 'active'. I even manually added a boundary for the subnet the servers are in . But it makes
no different. I noticed that the SCEP is also not pulling AV updates. However, if I gogo -control panel-configuration manager -site-and clicked on 'Find site', them I get the message "Configuration manager has successfully found a site to manage this
client. This client is already assigned to the sire that was found".
How can I apply the SUG to the computers?

Thanks guys. The problem solved.. From the above info I made a solid guess that WSUS is interfering. Then I noticed it is affecting windows 2003 (ouch) servers only. Found that there is a 'windows 2003 SCCM' policy in another domain and it is not applied
to this domain. Copied (technically exported ) it and linked it to servers OU.
All good now.

Why can I not see the update softwared tab in General?

I need to update my iPad 2 and there is no "Update Software" tab. Plus, I am unable to access itunes on the ipad. I have checked my wifi connection and it is fine.

Apple has been experiencing all kinds of problems the past 2 days with their iTunes Store and many of their other online services. If I was in your shoes, I'd first try a "reset" (different from restarting) by holding down both the Home button AND Sleep/Wake button for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Then check to see if you can connect to Apple's services.

Organiser of calendar invite is not seeing the updated date & time of a meeting they rescheduled.

A user organised a meeting and sent it to 3 recipients. All 3 recipients responded to the meeting invitation. This invitation appeared in all four calendars. The organiser then dragged the meeting invite to another day, thus changing both the date and time.
As part of this action the organiser accepted ‘save changes and send update’. The organiser received responses to the new meeting time. The meeting appears in all 3 original recipients calendars. However, the new date and time is not visible in the organisers
calendar. This calendar still reflects the original date and time – nothing has changed.
Background: the client is running Outlook 2010 (14.0.6023.100). Exchange 2007 RU 15.
On the organisers Outlook profile I can see two items in the sent items folder. One for the original meeting invite and one for the second updated meeting invite. The option to accept the meeting invite is greyed out for the organiser as expected. If I drag
the second meeting invite (with the new date and time) to organisers calendar, with the intention of adding this to their calendar, I am prompted that ‘…as meeting organiser, you do not need to respond to the meeting…’.
There are no errors reported in the synchronisation folder.
The same experience is visible in OWA.
Any ideas?

Is anyone else not seeing the access for the camera on their home screen after the update? I thought that was part of ios5.

Double press the home button on the lock screen. On the Home Screen you still have the camera button!

The option to update OTA did not become available until iOS5. You will need to connect the phone to the computer and iTunes and update in that method.

First point of call on all grey screen issues is the following:

Given this issue has appeared after a software update, I'd advise you do the following instead though:
1. Get an external hard drive, with enough space to put the entire hard drive of your Mac onto. Make sure you've safely copied any data you have off of it, as the next step will erase it.
2. In the recovery HD of your machine, use Disk Utility to format you EXTERNAL hard drive with the partition table as GUID, and the format as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
3. Get out of Disk Utility, and click Reinstall Mac OS X.
4. When asked where, choose to install onto your external hard drive.
5. When the download and installation is complete, your Mac will reboot into a clean fresh setup screen. Make your user account an administrator, and make up a name and password; I use 'Test' and 'test'.
6. Your machine is now running from the external hard drive, not the internal hard drive, so don't be alarmed when you don't see your files.
7. Open the finder, you should see 'Macintosh HD' in the sidebar. This is the internal hard drive of your computer.
8. Open Macintosh HD, and copy out the following folders into a new folder on your desktop:
-Users.
-Applications.
-Library. (This only needs to be done if you use 3rd party software that saves things in the /Library, do a quick google and see if it does e.g. Photoshop, Protools).
9. When these have copied (it'll take quiet a while), you can now use Disk Utility to erase your hard drive. Don't erase Macintosh HD but the ENTIRE hard drive on the inside of your Mac, and as Thomas A Reed mentioned, there was likely an existing issue on your HDD so please go to Security Options and choose 'Zero Out' before clicking erase. This will rebuild the partition table which was a possible cause of the failed update.
10. Reboot the machine holding 'Option', go to recovery HD.
11. Choose 'Reinstall Mac OS X', this time onto your INTERNAL hard drive.
12. When this is complete, make another admin user called test and password test, like you did last time.
13. Run Software Update from the  menu of your Mac.
14. In the Finder, you should see your external Hard Drive. open it up, inside that you should see your desktop etc, and on the desktop will be your folder containing Library, Applications and Users.
15. Go to Finder up next to the  and choose File -> New Finder Window.
16. In your second finder window, open up Macintosh HD (through the Go -> Computer menu), and go to your Users folder.
17. Open the Users folder in your first finder window, and copy your user folder (has your name on it) into the second user folder (the one inside Macintosh HD).
18. This might take a while.
19. When complete, go to System Preferences -> Users and Groups and unlock the padlock.
20. Click the '+' sign, and make a new administrator user.
21. Now, the fun bit. Note the name of your user folder you copied, e.g. 'Nathan', containing all of your stuff. Note the difference between your user folder (has your name on it) and the Users folder (contains YOUR user folder, guest folder and shared folder).
22. Make the ACCOUNT NAME of your new adminstrator user the EXACT name of your user folder (normally lower case and without spaces), this is case sensitive folks. Your full name can be whatever you want, usually your full name.
23. Then click create. You should be informed that a home folder with that name in it already exists in the Users folder, would you like to make your new account from that folder? say YES!
24. When this is complete, log out of the Test user, log into your new account we've just made, all your stuff should be there.
25. ???????
26. Profit.
There's a few little bits that may need to be cleaned up afterwards, applications folder from your external hard drive should replace the applications folder on your internal hard drive, if the previously mentioned /Library folder contained important goodies then that should replace the /Library folder on your new Mac.
Hopefully that will help you out, straight after that is done make sure your stuff is there, erase your external hard drive and turn on time machine!

The downloaded file is probably stored at C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates. In general it is probably best to "download and install" updates than download and then install later. Note that you cannot revert to the older firmware if you don't like the update, even if you have the old .ipsw files.

I'm not that familiar with how FaceTime works. I know how to set It up but I don't use it. I just know that you can't activate in the UAE. I believe that you can activate in any country that permits it's use. Whether you will need a new ID or not, I can't confirm.
You can Google this and get all sorts of articles on workarounds. Apparently if you set up a VPN you can use it in the UAE. Here is one article that I found.

I can tell you that this is some of the absolutely worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I found out from a store employee that when they are really busy with calls, they have third party companies taking overflow calls. One of those companies is Xerox. What can a Xerox call center rep possibly be able to authorize on a Verizon account? I'm Sure there is a ton of misinformation out there due to this. They don't note the accounts properly or so everyone can see them. I have been transferred before and have asked if they work for Verizon or a third party also and was refused an answer so, apparently they aren't required to disclose that information. I spent a long time in the store on my last visit and it's not just customers that get the runaround. It happens to the store employees as well and it's beyond frustrating.

Hold Sleep Button with Home Button toghether until it restarts Always it takes 8 to 15 seconds, after it restarts leave the sleep button and remember do not leave the home button it automaticlly switches to DFU mode.
