Anyone Touch the iphone Bottom half and nothng Happen
Ok so I touch The bottom half where u look at mail or goto ipod and etc. nothing happens. Is this only me or is there alot of u out there. The thing I do is lock the iphone again and then try again sometimes its works sometimes it dont. whys is that. I have a stock iphone with no hacks. I just dont understand why such a great phone would do this. I have had a treo for a long time and never had a problem like this. Please Help me and let me know if I am the only one with this problem..

Same thing happened to the first iphone i had but, the top half of mined stopped working. Called AppleCare and they made me do a restore and nothing. They wanted me to send it in for repair, (while the charged you 50 for a loaner iphone.) So i took it to the apple store and they gave me a brand spankin new one!!! Try taking it back to the genius bar!!!!

These and other forums are full of people with iPhone unlocking problems - the net result is that, as others have said, is:
If you bought them from Apple they will be (and stay) unlocked.
If you bought them PAYG from CPW then they will lock to the first SIM activated.
Any other contract or PAYG phone iPhone bought from the networks WILL be locked by them too.
However, all is not lost. The original purchaser can request for the phones to be unlocked by Apple, via the carrier. The carriers usually charge around £20 to do this, or gratis if you're out of contract.
You are the original purchaser, right? If not, you need to get in touch with that person and pray they'll help you out. -
Has anyone experienced the iphone 4s camera panorama failure where the panorama stops after taking only one 'non panoramic shot? I think this happens when you switch direction of the panoramic arrow.
Sounds like you have a battry issue but don't want to believe it.
If a car was running fine on one tank of gas, then you filled it up with another tank of gas and it began to run funny, one might suspect that tank of gas. But let's just say coincidence blew a valve-- would you think the new tank of gas was the culprit?
BUT WAIT!! It just might have been! The gas could have been of higher octane and put more more strain on the valves; you know, like going from 87 octane (OS6) to 93 octane (OS7) and showing you the engine was on the edge of compromise.
Sometimes you have to go with common sense. If everything else is ruled out, it must be the battery. And if it runs fine one moment in OS6 but immediately ***** in OS7, I'd believe my battery was suspect-- though comfy-- in OS6 but the OS7 showed its true power.
Moreover, if you had the answer-- or didn't want to believe someone's more competent advice-- why did you even call? You've already shown that you don't know much when you asked if you could go backwards after setting up the new OS as a new phone.
Additonally, if you're such the know-it-all, but yourself the $29 battery and put it in yourself. It's a piece of cake.

I'm currently thinking about purchasing the iPhone at the unsubsidized price which is $700 for the 32GB iPhone 4. But my upgrade is available until May 8 of this year.
I'm a kinda impatient person but working on being patient but I really do want the iPhone.
Has anyone bought the iPhone 4 at a unsubsidized price or was it subsidized?
I'm on a family plan also and my sister line (primary) and my mother line (month to month non contract) is available for upgrade. I can use those I hope...

Many people on here have bought the iPhone at the full retail price because their upgrade wasn't up yet. In your situation, I would advise you to wait until May 8th, it's a lot closer than most people's and it's a substantial discount when you wait. You'll save $400. Or as you've pointed out, you can use your sister's or mother's upgrades right now if they don't mind, and then whoever's upgrade you take can use yours on May 8th. That would also be a very good choice, rather than purchasing the full retail iPhone. -

charles altmanReplying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

Try restoring the backup again. Your apps and other purchased media should have been restored from your backup if they were on your old phone when you backed it up.

Help please I changed my passcode and must've clicked different numers than I thought becuase now I've tried the wrong passcode so many times it just says connect to itunes. So i plugged my phone into my computer but it says the iphone is locked and I need to enter the passcode! what should i do!?
No problem! Just follow these instructions-
turn your device completely off
UnPlug it from your computer
Hold the home button (square button)
Plug your device into computer while still holding the home button
Hold until iTunes says it detected a device in recovery mode
Hit restore at the top
Done! -

First make sue you are installing the 64 bit version of iTunes.
Second make sure it is iTunes 10.7 or later.
I would download a fresh copy of the 64 bit version of iTunes 11. After installation reboot your computer.
Before connecting your phone reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem. -
I bought the iPhone 6 yesterday and am having connectivity issues
I bought the iPhone 6 yesterday and over the course of the last 26 hours, I've had issues with my phone connecting to data coverage. I can make phone calls and send texts but my most used apps (Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, even the App Store) won't load because they can't connect. Shutting down and restarting the phone has resolved the issue but I don't think that's a suitable resolution long-term. The phone does display that I have 3 bars (or dots in the case of the iPhone 6) and shows "LTE" but the phone doesn't actually connect. Any suggestions/help? Thanks.

That is very strange behavior for this new phone to have, but don't worry, ok? We'll help you get it fixed. Please go ahead and turn the phone all the way off. Then remove the SIM card for at least 30 seconds, replace it, and turn the phone back on. That may just do it for you!
