Anyone updated 6120 to v4.21?

A new firmware for Nokia 6120 Classic, v4.21, is available from yesterday at NSU. This update supports UDP (User Data Preservation), so you'll not lose (probably) any info. Has anyone updated their phones? What are the results? What about the audio and heating issue, after update? No official changelog is available at the moment.

Dreaming of a 5320XpressMusic - 128MB RAM makes up for the 2MP cam !

Yep I have updated to v4.21, UDP has worked fine and didn't lose my data but main bugs are not solved:
- data bug when setting an alarm for 2 days later
- battery life too low
- speaker goes mute during a BTS handover (I have not checked this yet, not easy to reproduce)

  • Anyone updated system running OS X Server 2.2.2 with Security Update 2014-001 (Mountain Lion)?

Has anyone updated your system running OS X Server 2.2.2 with the Security Update 2014-001 (Mountain Lion)? If you have, may I know if you have any issues?
Also, does anyone know if a Apache HTTP module that was compiled with version HTTP 2.2.24 will work under HTTP 2.2.26 (updated by Security Update 2014-001)? I am asking because the module mod_jk.so is not available in the stock Mountain Lion but only in /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/libexec/apache2/ (inside the OS X Server 2.2.2 app), and I am using the module for my Tomcat installation interface to HTTP server.

Actually, the university I work for is having tons of issues with our Mountain Lion computer (all models) booting and it seems to be tied to this update.  After installing this update, the computer starts booting, gets to the grey screen with the Apple logo and then won't go any further and the cursor changes to the spinning color wheel thing.  A permissions repair resolves the issue temporarily, but it always seems to come back.

  • Smuxi 0.8 Release - Can anyone update the PKGBUILD?

    Hi all,
Sorry for asking this, but I'm not familiar with editing/creating PKGBUILDS, though I can give it a try.
The current PKGBUILD for smuxi is outdated and smuxi is really great.
    Can anyone update the PKGBUILD?
Is there any resource available to teach how to create/edit/modify the pkgbuild?
    Regards,
    -aurocha

when you request a PKGBUILD, its considered courteous to atleast provide a link to the package/application that you want built.
Also if it is already in AUR, then you should put a comment on the AUR page. If still nothing happens, then you should send an email to the ML and ask for it to be orphaned.
Since it's already in AUR, you can also edit the PKGBUILD to your liking and install it or simply install from source.
As always the choices are many.

  • Has anyone updated Photoshop and can't save files.

I just updated photoshop CC and now I can't save changes to my files.

No, but before anyone can help you, you'll need to tell us what version of Photoshop you are using, and what your new update status is. Plus we need to know what your operating system is.
    [edit]
Whoops.  Just noticed that you mention CC, so I guess you are talking about 14.1.  So what is your OS?

  • Has anyone updated ipad 1 to 5.1?

just wondering if i should. i remember all the problems with the last update and im worried. Also has anyone did 5.1 to ipod4? for both please let me know if you have had any problems....thanks/

Was able to update iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4th Gen OTA to 5.1 with no problems.
Both devices have been working great since updating to 5.1 with no issues thus far.
I updated both devices to 5.1 the next day after it was available, and again haven't been experiencing any issue(s).
Also, both my devices even power off faster, when it would take each device sometimes up to 15-20 seconds.
    iOS 5.1 is GREAT!!!!!

  • Anyone update to Quicktime 7.3? Any issues?

Hey all, I'm just checking to see if anyone has experienced any problems or improvements with Compressor 3.0.1 after updating 10.4.x (PowerPC) to Quicktime 7.3?
The description says it's only to handle new iTunes stuff, but you never know...

Actually, yes. &.3 had many problems - not the least of which was problems with all my Compressor droplets. The last few seconds of everything I ran through Compressor was cut off. I finally had to roll back to the previous version of Quicktime. Then Compressor worked again. But now I have sync issues between FCP & Motion. Time to reinstall everybody.

  • Has anyone updated to 10.5.3 yet?

Have you done it? Frankly, I'm terrified. I've had so much trouble getting the darn thing to work that i don't want to mess it up! I rely on that thing for ichat, radius auth, dns, and a couple other things.
though, i never did get ical server working. i hope this update fixes that!

This is a fairly standard "production server upgrade" discussion...
No need for terror. You're not running transactions worth a billion dollars through your server every day; now that's terror. What's the worst that can happen here, after all? You're down. How do you recover? Work your way through the sequence to back out any problems, and follow it.
If the system is sufficiently critical, some funding for either an additional box or funding for sufficient temporary and archival storage, or both, will be required.
Acquire a spare server for "practice" and testing (and for redundancy), and practice and test your deployment over there. That's the best way. Both because production stays up, and because you have a replicated server should there be problems with a production box. Full redundancy gets into some expense around storage, too, as Apple tends to use SAN storage for shared data. This is typical of a production environment.
If redundancy is not feasible (for any of various reasons, including insufficient finances), acquire enough storage to make a disk image, and take the box off-line and image it, then load 10.5.3 and test it. This trades off the cost of the spare you don't have with the down-time you will have.
This also gets into having some tests for your environment, too. Stuff that you know you need to have operational. Which often gets into a cookbook of previous bugs and problems. Site-local testing and qualification.
And not intending to add to your terror, just because I and dozens of others might have 10.5.3 working does not imply 10.5.3 will work for you. You may well have some package or tool or setting or hardware that I (and others) don't have. You might have a lurking bad block on your disk; these disk-level errors are surprisingly common based on some Google and CMU data, and RAID-1 or RAID-10 or such is accordingly becoming increasingly central to correct storage operations, too.
Barring replicated deployments, computer systems are all somewhat unique.
And in any case, make and verify a backup before you upgrade.
Then follow your plan for testing.

  • Has anyone updated the software for 10.6 Snow Leopard and found that their printer no longer scans or prints?

Last October, I bought a MAC desktop that uses MAC OS X 10.6.8 and an HP 1050 All-in-One Printer J401a.
Everything worked beautifully until messages kept popping up about downloading critical MAC software update. Eventually, I succumber to the persistence and took the 7 hours required to do the download.
Since then, the printer refuses to scan. A mesage informs that "HP Utility quit unexpectedly" and a report is being sent automatically to Apple.
A few days ago, I got an engineer to have a look. He re-ran the HP disk 3 times and managed to get the scanner to work, but only once. His second visit did absolutely nothing and now even the printer doesn't work.
HP informs that this is a problem with MAC OS X 10.7 and suggests downloading a correction.
Has the Apply update turned the 10.6 to a 10.7?
I have un-installed HP and disconnected the printer.
What can I do to get this important facility back?
    Lis

    Thanks for the reply.
Even after the 7 hour update download the MAC OS X still says version 10.6.8 and nothing appears to have changed except printer and scan errors. I've uninstalled HP after 3 futile reloads and disconnected the printer.
    Any suggestions?
    Lis
Right 10.7 is a purchase of a new oeprating system. Software update will not upgrade your computer to 10.7.
The Software on the disk is very old software. Ushally it's a good idea to download the latest software from HP. As such, have you tried downloading & Installing HP Deskjet Full Feature Software and Drivers - Mac OS X v10.5 and v10.6?
You may need to go into system prefrences, Printers, and delete the printer, and then re-add the printer.
When opening the scanning software; it's really important to open the right program. If you look in the HP software folder there should be sevreal programs. There should be a program called scanner select or some thing similar. That's the one you want to open. it will have you select the device you want to scan from; then it will give you the option to open the scanning program.
if that dosen't work, do you have any other mac or pc computers? the reason I ask; is that the printer could be having a hardware issue. if you try the scanner / printer with another computer; and you still have the issue, then you know it's an issue with the printer it self and not your computer.
My HP all-in-one scanner died about 8 months into owning it. I couldn't even use the built-in copy button on the printer to make copies.

  • Has anyone updated an app via the store only to have the app stay in Update Available status?

Uupdated the app called ChordProBuddy and the update remains in the ready to update status on my App Store Dock Icon and in the update  window of the App Store. It will not go away after the download is completed.
    Any Suggestions?
    RL

Thanks for the fast reply. I have done a restart and deleted the app. That resulted in not having the app and still having the problem. The vendor support was great. He sent  me another app and I installed it and the app is now working but the "update " just stays there.

  • Has anyone updated their 9300 curve 3G to the latest OS 6 ver 6.0.0.723?

Let us make this thread for evaluation of the OS 6 updates for 9300 users.

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • TS2003 has anyone updated to Java 2 SE 5.0 Release 3 in order to play Pogo games?

Has anyone updatd to Java 2 SE 5.0 Release 3 in order to play Pogo games?  My games won't load on my iMac.

I have tested Struts successfully on iAS6.5. I have no problem in running the application. There is no issue with 6.5. can you provide the logs while running the struts.war file, so that I may be able to find what the exact problem is.
    Thanks

  • Anyone update to 7.0.2 and restore back to 7.0.1?

I've only had the artwork issue and complete restore fixed the problem for me yesterday. I'm just recreating my playlists since I sync my iPod manually. I want to know what issues if any did anyone experience.

Try unplugging from the computer then pressing and holding the home button, while pressing home button plug it back into the computer and hold until an itunes symbol shows up. If after 60 seconds it doesn't show up try taking into an Apple store for replacement. If it does show up look in itunes and restore iphone.

  • Anyone Update Date/Timestamp using CachedRowSets, Java and Oracle 10g

    How to do this...
a very small, direct snippet of code would be great..
or direct me to a CURRENT document.
    Thanks

What will I get back from Oracle with TO_CHAR?
I am using a quoted string and supplying parameters.
In other words, when I do the date comparison with a TO_DATE I already know that I am getting 12:00:00 AM back and the paramter I can manipulate.
    Example:
    TO_DATE(datefield) = formattedDateParameter
The "TO_DATE(datefield)" is part of my prepared sql statement.
I am not sure how much manipulation of the where clause I can do.
My querystring would look like the following.
    sql = "SELECT " + REPORTTRANSDATE + REPORTRETURNCODE + " FROM " + REPORTTABLE + " WHERE " + REPORTD + "=?" + " AND " + "TO_DATE(" + REPORTTRANSDATE + ")" + ">=?" + " AND " + "TO_DATE(" + REPORTTRANSDATE + ")" + "<=?" + " ORDER BY " + REPORTTRANSDATE;
    Thanks.
