Anyone use a Graph Drawing Kit

I'm looking for some extension libraries that could help me draw graphs of data. I'm using java version se 1.4.2 and netBeans in conjunction with apaches HSSF extension to write excel files. I know that they have some cool graph and picture functionality included, however, I would like to render graphs in my GUI as well.

Has anyone experienced problems with downloading Nikon D800 files to the iPad3 using the camer connector kit? I have tried .RAW and JPEG (of various sizes) on both SD and CF cards, but the iPad doesn't recognise the files.
I have seen various forums discussing Lightroom and PSE updates that are required to process .NEF files but I can't find anything on the iPad/camera connector issue.
I dont have any problem if I put the SD card straight into the SD slot in my iMac and Aperture will process the files fine, but I would really like to be able to download and view files on the move on the iPad.
Any advice appreciated?
PS - saw something that suggested the iPad had a maximum file size of 16mb for photos, not sure if this is correct, but I have tried smaller JPEG files and they still aren't recognised.

If your camera supports both PTP and Mass Storage Device modes, it may be necessary to use both modes to import all media content.
If some files do not import as expected using one mode, try switching to the other mode and importing again.
Note: Some cameras may refer to PTP as Pictbridge or PTP/Pictbridge.

Using HP wireless Upgrade Kit with HP Color Laserjet CP1215

I just recently purchased the HP Color Laserjet CP1215 and attempted to install and use the upgrade wireless kit but I can't get it to install. It will go through the process until it gets to the point where it either can not find the PC adapter or that the PC and printer adapter don't connect. I am not sure what to do. The only error message I receive is that the HPWlan.exe file has an error and will not load. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You need to post more detail. Which Windows? Describe Wifi and software more. Otherwise the number of people who could help you is narrowed to just those who have your printer and the same wifi upgrade kit.

I haven't tried videos on my camera yet. Do you use the Videos App to play them? I don't think they will play in the Photos App.
If yours are in a format that is not in Vazandrew's list, you may need to sync them to your computer and convert them to M4V or MP4 format. You can use a program like HandBrake to do the conversion. <HandBrake> Once converted, you can sync them back to the iPad and they should play.
This may not meet your needs, but the alternative appears to be getting a different camera. I don't know of another Video App that might work.

Connecting my ipad mini to my camera using the USB camera kit error message 'device is to powerful' keeps popping up.

I am trying to connect my iPad mini to my Samsung camera using the USB camera kit, I keep getting the error message ' device to powerful'. Is there anyway to fix this or do I need to take it back?? The shop assistant in Currys assured me it should work and it wasn't cheap at £25 for a tiny wire! I have read other posts concerning this but they are dated quite a while ago so just wondered what the newest advice was concerning this. Thanks

The camera is drawing too much power for your iPad. This can happen on cameras which charge their batteries using the USB connection. Make sure that you have the camera set to the correct settings for picture transfer - check the documentation that came with the camera.
Note that you can return the USB kit and get the SD card adaptor or get a powered USB hub if you can't get the camera to work any other way.

Using scatter graph type in oracle 10g forms using bi beans

hi.. how i can use scatter graph type in oracle 10g using bi beans..
it seems scatter graph is supported in 10g but it doesnt work at all..
i used to use oracle graphics builder in oracle 6i forms,now i need to convert all my old graphs to 10g forms..the line,bar and pie it work very well but the scatter didnt work..
so please if anyone know how to use it please tell me.. and what versions of bi beans support the scatter graph type

What version of Oracle Forms are you using? If it is 10.1.2.0.2 (10g R2 Phase 2) then the BI Beans version should be 10.1.2.1 (3.2.2.0.24.2).
When you run a Graph, do you see any version numbers?
Regardless of the version, scatter graph should work. What kind of errors are you getting?

Anyone using Photoshop Elements for Fashion Design

Hi,
I'm looking for software to help me in the Fashion Design Industry. I want to use it for my sketches. I am a beginner when it comes to Fashion Design and have no experience using Photoshop software. I had read somewhere that Photoshop Elements is a less expensive version of Photoshop. I read that it does 90% of what Photoshop does without the higher end pre -press printing capabilities. I also read that there is a book that will help you with the other 10% to achieve the full Photoshop capabilities.
1a. I would like to know is anyone using Photoshop Elements for Fashion Design?
1b. If yes, please explain in details what exactly are you using it for?
2a. Is there more than one version of Photoshop Elements?
2b. If so, what version do you recommend?
3. How easy is it to use?
4. Do you know of any books you can recommend that will help me with using the software for fashion design?
5. If you don't feel Photoshop Elements is the best choice, then what other software would you recommend?

I've never used PSE for fashion design, but there is only one flavor of elements, not a variety of different versions. I would wonder about using it for this because it could make a lot of difference if you need to create output in CMYK form (for print) or to softproof (neither of which is available in PSE). You also can't create composite layers in Elements.
I like Elements a lot, but I would not say it's 90% of Photoshop, more like 70% and I would expect that people would use Illustrator rather than PS for most things to do with creating illustrations. Also, there is no book that can make PSE into PS, although you can extend what it can do, but Adobe has deliberately crippled certain features in PSE.
I would say we need to know what you need a program to do to be able to give you any useful kind of advice. If you need to be able to draw vectors and paths, PSE is not a good choice. If you just need to sketch, it's fine.

Anyone Using Navigon GPS found a Good Window Mount?

I think I've decided on Navigon rather than TomTom, but I have not as yet found a window mount, other than TomTom's, that has a built in GPS booster, can charge the iPhone, and route voice prompts through your stereo speakers.
Anyone using Navigon...Have you found a good window mount with the features as noted above? Apple Canada does not stock the TomTom mount. :o(

I want to make a Graph Drawing Servlet

I need to make line graphs, having days on the X axis and certain values on the Y axis. I need to show this on a JSP. I was thinking of making a servlet returning the image, but I'm not finding any Java solution for the graph drawing part. I would really like to avoid having to manually draw the graph. Does anyone know a simple way to do this?

I suggest that you use servlet to draw the graphics.
In your jsp, you can call the servlet like this.

For anyone following, I looked further into the tape cassette adapter and it seems to get the best reviews vs. FM transmitter. Guess there is a good reason that I have the last year model with a tape cassette. Worth mentioning is the Maxell one gets a better review than the Monter one. Not sure why, but it's cheaper. As the title says, is anyone using testing seeing compiler lock-ups? I've been seeing them for about two or three days. Sometimes the system will hang for a few seconds at "Starting make" with 100% CPU usage, then will continue normally. Other times it will stop in the middle of compiling and CPU usage will drop to 0. Also, I've been seeing small hang ups with patches. Maybe four or five seconds when simple patches are being applied. Bringing MAKEFLAGS down to the default 2 from 3 seems to help a tiny bit.

Once pictures are moved from your camera to your iPad (using the camera connection kit), how do you get the photos off of the iPad? They do not show up in my photo stream or my iCloud. I am able to see any photo I took on the iPad using the iPad camera (in iTunes, photo stream, or when I open windows explorer and browse the iPad director), however I cannot see any photos transfered from my camera to the iPad. The camera connection kit must have put my photos in a directory I cannot get to and cannot sync.
