Anyone used BADI ALERT_EXIT_LOCAL_PPF?

Anyone used BADI ALERT_EXIT_LOCAL_PPF, or an impementation of it. My understanding is that there is a method called get_alert_data whch is called just before the Sales Order save. My question is how can I get the sales order info back from the buffer?. I can't use the FM CRM_ORDER_READ because the order has not been saved as yet.

Custom MIRO vendor line item splitting implemented throw BADI MRM_WT_SPLIT_UPDATE. BADI is active and called.
At transaction MIRO we try to imitate invoice posting. I see, that at badi method te_rbvs table is updated correctly. At invoice posting imitation screen incorrect amounts for vendor splitted lines appear.

Screen exit for VL01 in ECC 6.0 using badi's

Can anyone tell me the complete procedure to create a new sub screen and adding it to the existing standard sap screen as a new tab in ECC 6.0 version.

Anyone using AP2 on a 2Ghz G5 with Radeon 9600 graphics?

I had high hopes for v1.5 but it just ran too slow on my G5 to be usable. I hoped to upgrade the card to an x800 xt but after being on order through B&H for six months or so with the estimate of availability "within the next 2 weeks" for that whole time, I finally gave up and got my money back from B&H and gave up on Aperture.
I have now ordered V2, and I'm hopeful it will be - if not fast - at least usable now on my 2Ghz G5 with the 9600 card. (3GB ram)
Is there anyone using it with this configuration who could provide me with some feedback?

I got a 2x2.5Ghz PowerMac G5, 2 GB RAM, with a 23" Apple Display, and a ATI Radeon 9600 XT..
I also found Ap1.5 to be a bit to slow, but I just stuck with it.. I have now installed the trail version of Ap2.0 and its quite noticeably faster, fast enough for me to keep this Mac for a while longer (unless it breaks)..
Im not entirely sure, but it seems that it takes a bit longer to fully load an image (Nikon D80 RAW files) then in Ap1.5.. but thats not to bad, just use quick view mode to browse around.. and then work on the images you want to work on.
As I said it all works faster, straightening can now actually be done in near real-time
and all the other sliders (even highlight & shadows) are far more responsive..
now I must say this is in an aperture library with only about 200-300 images.. I hope it will stay as fast when I get the full version and get all my 30,000 images in it.

I just got a Yamakasi precision 2703. I'm using it with a 13" macbook pro (non retina). I got it working with a thunderbolt / minidisplayport to dual link DVI adapter from monoprice for $~70. At first I didn't think it was going to work, plugged it in, turned on the display, nothing happened. I unplugged, plugged the USB cable back in and the monitor came to life. Working great so far. I bought mine from green-sum on ebay. The recommend not using this monitor with apple computers due to overheating issues... I don't see why that would be the case, though. I've only been running it for a couple days, but so far no issues, and I've been happy with the monitor, no dead pixels, no bleed in the corners.
The monitor stand on the 2703 isn't too bad, a little wobbly but not as bad as the others from what I've read. The monitor does sit a little low, though. I have a much sturdier stand coming from monoprice for $20+shipping, which will provide tons of adjustment, both height and rotation.

Has anyone used Thunderbolt or USB 3.0?

In the not too distant future I am intending to upgrade from my 2008 24" 2.8GHz iMac.
The new models appear to have gone down the Thunderbolt route which appears to be not very popular with HDs being few and far between and very expensive.
USB 3.0 whilst theoretically only half the speed seems to be taking off and reasonably cheap, and appears to be more universally adopted.
Could Apple have backed the wrong horse on this occasion?

The german computer-magazine c't tested the Promise Pegasus R6 Thunderbolt and found it speedwise way ahead of USB 3.0 and eSATA.
As a RAID-Level 0 with 6 x Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 (7.200 U/min, 1TB each) and MBP 13" 2011 OSX 10.6.8:
Write - 693 MByte/s
Read - 721 MByte/s
Read AND Write - 323 MByte/s
Time Machine -capable and OS X Bootable.
0.8 Sone when active
61.6 W active - 48 W when not used.

Field restriction for ME22N using BADI

i had a requirement in which i had to restrict ME22N transaction for a particular user for a particular document type
so i used BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST now the requirement has changed and the user wants the restriction only on three fields rather than entire transaction.
is there any provision in BADi by which i can prevent changes made to a particular fields the fields are QUANTITY,RATE PER UNIT & PAYMENT TERMS fields,by throwing error message if changes are done and for other fields changes should be allowed .
my code is as below

Hi,
BADIs will come into picture where you want to do some messaging (manipulations)on data before downloading.
For eg while downloading the sales data you want to fetch billing data from billing related infoproviders , put a look up on billing info providers and update the sales data with billing info in BADI.

Error out from MB01 and MIGO when using BADI "INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE"

We are currently implementing Quality Level with Dynamic Modification Rule using SAP Quality Management module.
We are trying to change stage level by modifying the field PRSTUFENAE of the table QDQL (Material Quality Level) using BADI: INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE, new logic is successful for a goods receipt with a single lot if we use COMMIT WORK within BADI, but an error occurs from MB01 and MIGO when we are receiving multiple lots in same goods receipt.
Have anyone else got across something similar?

Hi Paul,
First of all, there is a How To Guide for RUNLOGIC implementation. It uses BAdI approach as well, but doesn't call WRITE_BACK that can change from version to version.
Second, you should be able to see that method GET_DELTA is being called under
IF D_CALC_DELTA eq abap_true and df_bw_delta eq abap_false.
D_CALC_DELTA is set to TRUE only in Method WRITE_BACK_INT; I hope you aren't using that one.
DF_BW_DELTA is taken from DM Package parameters. Can you check what you have there or put just a break-point in PACKAGE_LOGIC_1 to see what value those 2 variables have?

Just a thought -- BADI CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS seems to be more at a screen flow level. Need caution while updating Z table here.
I would recommend using BADI CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA-CHECK_ALL_DATA/SAVE_DATA methods.
Method CHECK_ALL_DATA will be executed right before saving and has access to all tables which are ready to be updated. Final validations before updating Z tables can be performed here. Develop a FM to update Z table and call it in an UPDATE TASK in this method.

Has anyone used jdeveloper professionally?

It seems to have a very small market share. It seems like most java developers are not oracle people. They use java with lots of databases and are reluctant to use a vendor specific IDE. They prefer the open source ones like 'eclipse'.
i'm not sure jdeveloper will catch on even if it becomes the best tool on the market. The best product doesn't always win.
any opinions on this?

Another point to make here is that we constatly see that many users are using JDeveloper with "non Oracle" platform.
When we asked which databas people were using with JDev in one of our survey 90% said Oracle, but we also got about 30% Sqlserver, and 27% Mysql and some other DBs as well (multiple answers were possible).
Scan the forum and you'll see many posts about other databases and other application servers.
So JDeveloper doesn't tie you up to the Oracle platform - it just makes it easier to use the Oracle platform if you choose to.
