Anyone using a plant historian called Hyper Historian from Iconics?

We will be looking at historians sometime in the near future and as I am already an Iconics customer I was wondering about their historian and it's interface with MII.
Thanks,

Amy,
They talk about the multitude of ways to get data into the historian, and detail their OPC capacity, but don't give really explicit details on how to get data out of the historian, but it might be worth asking your sales rep some specifics on 3rd party access to time series data.
According to http://www.iconics.com/products/pdfs/GENESIS64_Flyer.pdf they are 'OPC to the core' so I would imagine that the OPC-HDA UDS would allow you to interface to the tag data.
Regards,
Jeremy

  • Anyone using a software product called "Neat recipt scanner"on a Mac that can tell me they like it?

    Anyone using a software product called "Neat recipt scanner"on a MacBook Air  that can tell me they like it?

    I have it, and I do like it for what it is designed to do. That is not saying that I use it exclusively with my NEAT scanner. I use the Neat software when I am scanning and organizing financial related documents. That is all I use it (the software) for.
    However, when I use the Neat scanner for PDF files, or image files, I prefer to use the OS X included, Image Capture app. I have not found the Neat software to be as usable for capturing images.

  • Testing using Windows Phone Emulator on Hyper-V from Windows 8.1?...

    Hi,
    I have Windows Server R2 DataCenter w/Hyper-V running, installed the SDK's and able to run the VHD Windows Phone Emulator 8.1.  My next step is to learn how to connect to it from my Windows 8.1 running Visual Studio 2013 Community.
    Can any one help or link me to some tutorials on how to do this?  As of now I have not made any settings changes on the server yet.  So everything is at its default install settings.  I connect to the server using RDC.
    Additional: How do I add the Server Hyper-V Emulator 8.1 to my existing project?
    Thanks!...
    Code is like a box of chocolates!...

    This is not a Hyper-V question, need to know if anyone is testing there phone from there development system from a server.  And, if so how.
    Code is like a box of chocolates!...

  • Anyone using SecureDoc Full-Disk Encryption for Mac from WinMagic?

    Currently I am using Mac OS X v10.5 on a MBP and want to upgrade to Snow Leopard. I use PGP full disk encryption.
    I do not want to wait anymore for PGP v10 before I can upgrade to Snow Leopard. In my search for a replacement for PGP I found SecureDoc Full-Disk Encryption for Mac from WinMagic.
    https://www.winmagic.com/products/full-disk-encryption-for-mac
    They claim to be Snow Leopard compatible
    https://www.winmagic.com/kw/download.php?url=/datasheets/securedocmac_brochure20090925a.pdf
    I have two questions:
    1) Does anyone have experience with SecureDoc Full-Disk Encryption for Mac from WinMagic?
    2) Where can I buy one? PGP has a store where I ordered my copy of the software. But I can't find a store anywhere for SecureDoc. With some trouble I found a reseller in the Netherlands, but they don't reply to any questions.

    I am currently testing a trial license from Checkpoint Full Disk Encryption.
    http://www.checkpoint.com/products/datasecurity/pc/index.html
    The company where I work is a Checkpoint reseller, and normally only has dealings with other companies, not end users. But we arranged a trial license and I can buy a single user license Checkpoint Full Disk Encryption if the test proves Checkpoint Full Disk Encryption is a good solution.
    I created a bootable usb disk with Snow Lepoard on it. But I was unable to install FDE on it. After reboot I only get a blank screen, that's it. Probably it isn't supported to boot from a full disk encrypted removable drive, I can understand that.
    I can't create a virtual Snow Leopard machine (legal reasons) to test it on. And all FDE solutions I found aren't compatible with Mac Server, which is a shame because you can virtualize Mac Server legally.
    So now I am planning to change the hard-disk of my MBP this evening with another hard-disk to test Checkpoint FDE there. I don't want to upgrade my current Leopard installation to Snow Leopard only to discover it doesn't work as expected. I could of-course use my current installation and when it doesn't work rollback to a timemachine backup, but before that I have to decrypt my disk and uninstall PGP witch will take 1-2 days, and encrypt again when the test is over. Not pratical.
    I will let you know how the test with Checkpoint Full Disk Encryption went!

  • Anyone using Encore to burn to Blu Ray from FCP?

    Given that there's no way to burn a "real" HD DVD, is anyone exporting their FCP movies to Adobe Encore and burning to Blu Ray? If so, have you had any success?

    I'm yet to Author a BluRay w/ Encore using Media from FCP... but I do Author SD DVD's by exporting DV QT's from FCP then importing and encoding w/ Encore.
    Seems like you'd be able to do the same by exporting an HD QT w/ a CODEC that's also on your PC.

  • How to call oracle function from ejb3

    i'm trying to call an oracle query-function from ejb3.
    The oracle function:
    create or replace FUNCTION getSecThreadCount(secId in NUMBER,avai in NUMBER)
    RETURN SYS_REFCURSOR is cur SYS_REFCURSOR;
    m_sql VARCHAR2(250);
    BEGIN
    m_sql:='select count(thrId) from thread where secId='|| secid||'
    and thrAvai='|| avai;
    open cur for m_sql;
    return cur;
    END;
    I'v tried several ways to call it,but all failed:
    1. the calling code:
    public Object getSectionThreadCount(int secId,int avai){
              Query query=manager.createNativeQuery("{call getSecThreadCount(?,?) }");
              query.setParameter(1, secId);
              query.setParameter(2, avai);
              return query.getSingleResult();
    but i got the exception:

              query.setParameter("secId", secId);
              query.setParameter("avai", avai);
              return query.getSingleResult();

    By the way, i have successfully called the function from hibernate. And i use oracle 11g, JBoss5 RC1.
    Could anyone tell me how to call the function from EJB3?
    Thanks.

  • Calling SQL*Loader from Forms

    Hi,
    I was wondering if anyone has called SQL*Loader from Forms?
    What I am wanting to do is use Oracle Forms as the interface where you can specify a file that you can import into the database and it will use a set control file. Push the import button and SQL*Loader does the rest.
    Is using Java code to call SQL*Loader from Forms a viable option, or is there an easier way to achieve the desired outcome.
    Any ideas or guidance will be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Scott.

    Scott,
    In forms, there's a HOST built-in command which is supposed to execute any o/s commands.
    What you have to do is :
    1. Bult up the string exacltly in the fashion which you will run in o/s
    2. Call the HOST Built-in and pass in the string
    Here's a example :
    Declare
    lOsCmd Varchar2(1000) := Null;
    Begin
    lOsCmd := 'sqlldr user-id=userid/passwd@connectStr '
    || ' control=c:\temp\abc.ctl log=c:\temp\abc.log '
    || ' bad = c:\temp\abc.log';
    Host (lOsCmd, No_Screen);
    End;

  • Calling Stored Procedures from Discoverer

    Does anyone know if I can call stored procedures from Discoverer? I know it supports Registered PL/SQL functions. If yes, can I find any documentation. Any information will be very helpful.
    Thanks in advance!

    One way I can think of to do that would be to use function with pragma restrict references. You can then use the function as a column in a SQL query to make a folder in Discoverer.

  • How to call a Applet from a servlet and vice versa...?

    Hi all
    Can anyone help me how to call a applet from a servlet and vice versa. When the applet is called it should contact the database (oracle8i) and get the data. When i submit the applet form the data in the applet should be saved in the database.
    Thanks in advance
    Kamalakannan

    Sweep is correct about requestDispatcher being another approach for inter-servlet delegation; the only issue that i recall with this approach is that it defaults the method of the destination servlet to the one it was called from...for example, calling servlet2 from within servlet1.post() resulted in the dispatcher attempting to utilize servlet2.post() - i believe that i searched for a parameterize solution to no avail :( (ended up handling the request by placing a "fake" doPost() in servlet2 that simply called servlet2.doGet())
    however, if your application is functioning correctly on your pc/webserver then the problem may be external to servlet communication (e.g. client webserver's ports not configured or blocked, missing runtime classes, etc.)
    my suggestion would be to set aside the programmatic concerns for the moment - what is the response if you open a browser on a client's machine and access the URL in question (i.e. http://clientserver:port/stefanoServlet)? If it will not respond to access in this manner then it certainly won't when your application calls for it.
    It's possible that there is a coding error but, given the info supplied, i'd start examining the environment, first. Let us know if you have any luck with the test i recommended or not (please provide abundant detail). Or, if you've found the solution then you may want to post back with a quick blub so the next person knows how to escape the trap.

    The program is getting compiled and at the time of alert it is showing no error at OracleBI home\server\Log\iBots\NQiBot.err. which can be assumed that it has been executed and initiated the BPEL process but no instance is shown in the BPEL Console.
    so pls help us for it
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi,
    thanks for reply, yes i have all dependency jars bundled in the main jar. When i try executing my java file then it is sucessfully triggering BPEL process. but When i am trying to execute the same java file from ibot. Then it is not executing by ibot.

  • Hi, I have an iPhone 4 which rings people when it is locked, whether or not in my pocket.  I always lock it when not using it.  Can anyone help? It is calling random numbers, not the last person or anyone even recently called on my recents list. Thanks

    Pay no attention to iinami, the amount of replies to people saying their handsets must have been jailbroken everytime iTunes throws out an error is tremendous. (Clearly you don't need to have any real knowledge to get to level 3 on these forums, let's hope apple's geniuses know a lot more than some of their customers.)

    Solution below.
    Error 9
    This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
