    Hi,
Is anyone using non standard Apple ram with normal sized heatsink/heatspreaders and if so have you had any problems?
I can find ram for the same spec that works but they only have the standard thin silver heatspreader attached and am concerned about running temps etc.
If anyones using these modules without problems, please post here!
    Thanks.

  • Start acquisition and display chart/graph, then use trigger to capture data. Need pre/post trigger scans.

What I am looking for here is to be able to start reading the channels connected to the board (PCI-6071E) and be able to monitor a trigger channel to obtain pre/post trigger scans.
I tried the examples that come with LV6.1 but I haven't been able to find a solution. We currently have a solution that uses software buffering,ei global/local variables, but I would like to use hardware buffering as it's done on the many examples LV has.
Is there anyway to see the acquired data as it waits for the trigger? The only example that comes close to what I need was "Cont Acq&Chart (buffered).vi", but I don't know how to use it. Particularly the Clock.
    Thanks,

    Hello Spencer,
No, Im not running into speed limitations. The problem lies in that the current solution I have was developed before me and it was done in LV5.0 and the way this was done was by using a multitude of local and global variables, (more than 500 nodes per variable), to capture pre-trigger data. I am now using LV6.1 and I would like to make changes to the existing code using LV6.1 but I can't because LV6.1 doesn't like to see more than 500, (more or less), nodes.
Since you are saying that it isn't possible to read acquired data before the trigger occurs, I will have to come up with a software buffer that could be used to allow what I need. I am thinking of using the QUEUE VI's. I would set a pre-trigger buffer of the required size a
nd wait for a trigger on a limit previously set, when this is satisfied then start saving data from that point on.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,

  • Is anyone using a 1252 ap in bridge mode with channel bonding?

Is anyone using a 1252 ap in bridge mode, with channel bonding?
I had a question a while ago from a customer with regards to bridging with a 1252 ap to increase throughput for a wireless link he was using, from the throughput improvements in 802.11n. At the time I spoke to Cisco Pre-Sales, and they indicated that the bridge function in the 1252 exists for 'testing' purposes. I advised our customer that although it should be possible to implement, we may run into difficulties with TAC support ect. in the event of problems with the link.
Can anyone comment if this is a Cisco validated/approved design now?
Also, has anyone done this and tested the throughput achievable?
Has anyone bridged both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz radios on a 1252?
The reason I ask is I've seen a note about a Cisco 5Ghz 802.11n bridge being launched.
    Thanks in advance.
    Alex.

    Hi All,
Thanks for all the feedback; I have finally done some throughput testing with the 1252's. Please note, this is very rough, just to give an idea on throughput that's achievable, and what you can enable. Did this a few weeks back, and have now wiped the cnf, so dont have the show runs any more....
The two devices were set up a few feet apart, with the standard 2dBi and 3dBi antenna.
All tests done on the 5GHz radio with Autonomous AP IOS.
I did data transfers via a laptop either end of the link; transferring data using the Test TCP utility (wasn't going for scientific tests, just getting some idea of throughput).
    802.11a @ 54mbs (20Mhz chan) WGB - root to non root = 2.43 - 2.5MB/Sec = 19.44 - 20 Mbps
    802.11a @ 54mbs (20Mhz chan) WGB non root to root = 2.42 - 2.44MB/Sec = 19.44 - 20 Mbps
    802.11n @ 'n' rates( 20Mhz chan) WGB root to non root = 6.18 - 6.33MB/Sec = 49.44 - 50.64 Mbps
    802.11n @ 'n' rates ( 20Mhz chan) WGB non root to root = 4.77 - 5.00MB/Sec = 38.16 - 40 Mbps
    802.11n @ 'n' rates ( 40Mhz chan) WGB root to non root = 8.59 - 8.58MB/Sec = 68.64 - 68.64 Mbps
    802.11n @ 'n' rates ( 40Mhz chan) WGB non root to root = 6.35 - 7.20MB/Sec = 50.8 - 57.6 Mbps
    802.11n @ 'n' rates ( 40Mhz chan) Bridge root to non root = 9.73 - 10MB/Sec = 77.84 - 80 Mbps
    802.11n @ 'n' rates ( 40Mhz chan) Bridge non root to root = 8.40 - 8.57MB/Sec = 67.2 - 68.56 Mbps
So basically, as per the above posts, you can implement bridging on the 1252's and utilise the 802.11n rates and features, SGI, Spatial Streams and Channel Bonding etc, to achieve higher throughput.
Also, as per the above posts, this is still not supported by Cisco, so, in my case, I'd be highlighting that to customers straight off, but don't see it as too much of an impediment to deploy, as long as the customer weighs up the risks.
On a side note, I attended a Cisco session recently, and was told that the 802.11n Bridge, (the 1430?) was on hold indefinitely. My feeling is that this makes it more pressing that Cisco introduces support for bridging on the 1252.
Get in the ear of your local Wireless SE's, the more they hear it, the more they'll moan to the Wireless BU in San Jose! ;-)
Bridging with 802.11n has some interesting possibilities, I worked with Alvarion 5GHz bridges 6 or 7 years ago, that could do 'near LOS' - Worked well in cities, using reflection of the RF from buildings. I had never heard of 802.11n back then, but I'm guessing Alvarion was using MIMO to achieve good non-LOS connectivity in the 5GHz band.
    Cheers,
    Alex.

  • Running shell commands in pre-post session commands

Hi Nikita: It depends on what kind of OS your Secure Agent is running on. If you're running your Secure Agent on Windows, you can enter DOS commands into these fields which may include SQL scripts using batch files. Similarly, if you're running your Secure Agent on Linux you can enter shell commands which may include SQL scripts using shell scripts. You should be able to find some examples of these commands from other Informatica Cloud users by searching the Community. Hope this helps,Josh

Hi all,I am new to informatica, can anyone please explain me how should i run shell commands in pre/post session commands?and what type of shell scripting is usually needed for the informatica jobs? Thank you

  • Pre-Post Processing Examples

I'd like to learn more about how to use the Pre-Post Processing feature in the Apex Listener.
Does anyone have any examples or documentation on how to do this?
    Thanks,
    C

So i've answered my own question in part:
    Here is what I did:
    1. created a procedure named web_log_prc that inserts some session data into a table (web_log) in the Apex Application's parsing schema.
    2. granted execute privileges on that procedure to apex_public_user.
    3. In the post-processing text field in the apex listener admin page i entered the name of the procedure: <username>.web_log_prc
Now when I click around in the app, rows get generated in the web_log table.
My intend was to capture Oracle session data and tie it back to a particular Apex user. As expected, the username logged is apex_public_user.
Is there a way to capture the session identifier that the connection pooling mechanisms use to send the data fetched from the database back to the correct Apex user?

  • Anyone using an HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw printer with SL?

I'm thinking of getting this printer. Can anyone using this with Snow Leopard please let me know how well it works? Any issues? Nice printer? I will be replacing a Samsung CLP-315 which prints very nicely, but doesn't work well after updating from Tiger to SL.
    Thanks

It works just fine.  I picked up a 1525 yesterday, configured it using Lion, and I just now configured my wife's SL laptop to work with it.  No problems.  Just don't install the HP disk and let OS-X grab drivers for it and you should be fine.
It's a little tricky configuring with Lion for wireless printing, but it's doable.  See my post at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3449512 for a checklist.

  • Possibility to register Pre-/Post-Procedures for an SQL Template Handler

I would appreciate to see the possibility to register pre-/post-procedures for an SQL template handler in ORDS 3.0.
    Why:
We use Oracle VPD/Row-Level-Security to secure data access. Hence a trigger sets a couple of attributes in the database session context at login time which are then used in static RLS predicates to limit which records the user can see/modify.
With ORDS 3.0 all sessions are opened under the same technical user (e.g. APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER), hence all users have the same/no attributes in the session context and could see/modify all data.
To avoid this situation, I need to set the attributes (e.g. the authenticated user) in the database session context before the actual query/plsql handler is executed.
Also, resetting the session context after the handler is executed would be good.
This scenario is in line with scenarios 'One Big Application User' and 'Web-based applications' in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/network.111/b28531/vpd.htm#DBSEG98291.
    Different solution approach:
Kris suggested to write a PL/SQL handler where the pre-procedure is called before the business logic procedure/query. This is ok for me as long as I modify data and only need to return no or little data.
As soon as I need to return a lot of data (e.g. select c1, c19, c30 from t1), this approach will force me to write a lot of code in the PL/SQL handler in order to marshal the c1, c19 and c30 to JSON and put it in the HTTP response.
But this is the beauty of ORDS - I can simply define a template, write a GET SQL Handler 'select c1, c19, c30 from t1'  and have the data available as REST service, without writing any code to write JSON marshaled data in the HTTP response.

I tried to log the request at Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) but I could only start a new discussion: Possibility to register Pre-/Post-Procedures for an SQL Template Handler
As I mentioned there, the PL/SQL handler approach works for me as long as I have no or only little data to send back to the client (e.g. put/post/delete succeeded or an error message why the call failed).
If I need to return a lot of data from the PL/SQL handler I would need to, as far as I understand, to marshal the data to JSON and write it to the response body in the PL/SQL handler.
I don't want to do the marshaling, because ORDS does it better.
    However, this works for me:
I write a pipelined stored procedure that takes as input the attributes I need to set in the session context. I then can reference it in the SQL handler:
    select * from table(my_pipelined_function(:USER, ....)
Now the JSON/HTTP response is created by ORDS again.
I still needed to code a couple of lines, but it is way better than duplicating the functionality already existing in ORDS.
With the hooks it would be perfect because I would not have to write any code (apart from the procedure to set the session context attributes), just configure the REST services in ORDS.

  • Pre/post processing

    Hello group!
    Configuration:
    Oracle 8.1.7
    XDK 9.0.0.0.0(beta)
We use XSQL Servlet scripts (great framework!). We tried to provide single entry point into our webapp. We want to replace XSQLServlet class, and gain control of our servlet environment (transactions, thread synchronization, logs...).
Problem is, if we replace XSQLServlet class with our own class (which extends HttpServlet), we can't use XSQLPageProcesor directly because it is declared private for XSQLServlet package.
So, we try to use XSQLRequest class and construct an instance with XSQLServletPageRequest as parameter and then call XSQLRequest.process().
    It works ,but ...
When we attach object with setRequestObject (), requestProcessed is never called.
    Why? We mist something?
If we use XSQLRequest (URL url), must we handle sessions, request parameters, cookies ...?
Where is the best place to put pre/post processing of request?
    Thanks in advance
    Tomi
    null

We found just XSQLPageRequest.setRequestObject(), that we already try to use (first post in thread).
We associate *.xsql with our HttpServlet because we want to transparently add controller object(s), and we want to turn this feature off in servlet engine config whenever we want. If we forward it (getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher().forward()), with same name and extension ...
    Some code:
public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException
    XSQLServletPageRequest req = new XSQLServletPageRequest(request, response, myContext);
    //TransactionController implements the XSQLRequestObjectListener
    req.setRequestObject("transaction",new TransactionController(req));
    XSQLRequest xsqlrequest = new XSQLRequest(request.getRequestURI(), req);
    try
    xsqlrequest.process(response.getOutputStream() ,new PrintWriter(System.err));
    catch(Exception ex)
    ex.printStackTrace();
    return;
}When we call XSQLRequest.process, servlet response just fine (except we lost default encoding windows-1250?).
TransactionController is properly attached, but requestProcessed is never called.
    We found why. Maybe?
XSQLRequest.process call createNestedRequest from XSQLServletPageRequest, and then setIncludingRequest.
This seems like little overhead :)
We just want to keep our XSQL Scripts clean from including controllers via custom actions in every page.
    Can we do that?
    Anybody tried something similar?
    Thanks for your time

  • Is there any event callback for "pre/post-register/unregister" object?

    Dear all,
We noticed that there are rich set of event callback provided by TopLink, including "pre/post-Refresh/Build/Clone/Merge". However, we cannot found any callback method for "pre/post-register/unregister" events. They will be very useful, if we to manage the internal status of register/unregister to indicate whether it is still under the control of TopLink.
    Thanks and regards,
    William

    William,
Those specific events do not exist. The postClone event is called after an object is registered. This is frequently used to copy non-persistent values from the cached original into the working copy.
There is also the ability to customize the clone/copy policy used by TopLink in creating the working copies in the UnitOfWork.

  • Pre-post / parked document in outgoing payment posting

    Hi Experts,
could any of You, please confirm, if possible to create pre-posted / parked document for outgoing payment?
We use F-53 / FBZ2 for this action, but sometimes takes a long time to select all items related to a bank payment note. The user want to have  only one final document, no partial bookings.
Is there any possibility to create parked / dummy version here, to pause the administrational process and continue later, without loosing the data?
    Answers will be appreciated

    Hello,
Please try recurring entries using transaction code F.14.
I think there is no account assignment model or sample document where we can create for outgoing payments.

  • Post budget document from approved pre-posted budget document workflow

    Hi,
We are using budget version "0" for AVC Check and "1" for provision budget used for sending further approvals.
I am uploading provisional budget i.e Pre-posted budget with version "1"  and sending  two levels for approvals by using SAP Standard workflow.
If pre-posted budget document approved by 2 levels, what is impact on budget posted document?
                       a) Will Pre-posted approved document be convert into Actual budget document with Version "0" (or)
                       b) Will Pre-posted document remain same by updating status with "approved", there by User again needs to post actual budget document with Version "0" by using "FMBB"
    Please help me

    CA Sam,
The Pre-posted document will remain the same i.e.approved version 1. In order to create version 0 you can copy from version to version.
