Anyone using D-Link router DI-624S to connect your Apple TV to iTunes?

I have been struggling with my Apple TV for a few days and I still can't make it appear in the iTunes device list.
The internet connection has been verified ok as I could download music via the Apple TV.
Grateful if anyone could give me advice.
Windows XP iTunes version 7.1.1.5

Check the Network information in the Settings menu of the Apple TV and see if it shows the correct network information for your router. If it doesn't you need to set it up correctly.
If your network settings are correct go to the Sources menu and see if you are synced to your computer. If not, make sure iTunes is open on the computer and then sync your Apple TV.
If the network settings are correct and your Apple TV is synced everything should be working.

I am trying to post a 123 page resource guide online for the public to access through the website of a non profit. The guide has a lot of web links for to use for more information. But there have been clickability issues when using some browsers to download the PDF and so I would prefer to suggest that they try to download the resource into Adobe Reader before using. I want to make sure that this would securely safe for readers and users.

Can I upgrade to ios5 using a pc that is assigned to a different apple Id for iTunes?

It is a windows 7 pc. My husband pc had to be returned due to hardware failure. However he wants me to upgrade his iPhone 4 Verizon to ios5 and iCloud using my pc that I use for my iPhone and iPad with iTunes. Should we wait for his own of or can I upgrade him on my pc and iTunes account?

It sounds like you haven't yet setup iCloud with that account and you need to do that on a Mac or iOS device. Once setup, you can enable iCloud on a PC, but it needs to be setup first.

Takes a long time to connect using D-Link router

I recently purchased a D-Link 802.11n router to replace my old Airport Snow, which seemed to be failing after many years. Now that I have the D-Link up and going, I have two problems:
1 - When I first start either Mail or Safari, it seems to take the router several minutes before it actually connects to the Internet.
2 - Internet access speeds seem to be slower than they were, on my wired network.
Does anyone know what may be causing these problems, especially the first one? Is there a setting I need to change, or should I just buy an AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule ?

I am getting the same issue, on first starting safari the first page takes an age to load.. once it has everything is fine.
I have tried the 'Reset Safari' function but no difference. This only happens on my Macbook Pro Retina, Using safari on my iphone or ipad is fine. (I connect via ethernet too so its not a wifi problem.)

Wireless printing to Canon MX310 fails using D-Link Router - Can't Connect

I recently bought a D-Link wireless router (320), which supports wireless printing and I am trying to set it up to work with MBP. I set it up to run with Windows XP and it works fine with no problems, but with my MBP it won't work. Here is a screen shot showing the XP set up and the printer server info from the router (bottom).

From this, I've been using the following information to add the printer,
Protocol: HP Jetdirect - Socket
Address: 192.168.0.1
Queue: lp1
The printer shows up as idle in the printer selection menu. When I print it goes through the following messages,
Connecting to Printer...
Printer Online...
Printing...
And then the queue clears itself as if it printed, but nothing ever comes out of the printer. At first I assumed it was a problem with the router, but when I tested it with Windows it doesn't have any hang-ups.
Any help would be appreciated with this, as I've read several posts and tried all recommendations but nothing will work. I'm also curious if I have the "Queue" in the printer dialogue right, or if it should be 9100. Thanks in advance!

Based on your Windows port configuration, your Mac printer queue configuration is reasonably correct. Although based on your Windows port configuration, you don't seem to require a queue name of lp1 - this would normally be required for LPD connections.
Your issue will be with the driver used. The Canon Mac drivers cannot be used when you have the printer connected to the USB port of a wireless router or print server (although the exception to this rule is an Airport device). When you have the printer connected via USB to a router or being shared by Windows, then you need to use a CUPS-based driver like Gutenprint or PrintFab (yes I know the Canon driver says CUPS but it is not true CUPS).
The Gutenprint tends to be the preferred driver because it is free, however your MX310 is not listed as a supported model so you would have to experiment with using a model that is supported and this can waste a lot of time and ink/paper.
PrintFab (www.printfab.net) costs 49 Euro but it does support your MX310. A trial version is also available so you could see if the printer does work before making a purchase.
One final note. For your Windows queue you don't need to add the colon 9100 after the IP address. The fact that you have selected RAW and have 9100 set for the Port Number is adequate.

Help! Anyone using Dynamic Link to PPro with success?

I follow the docs precisely, open new multitrack, go to dynamic link, open Ppro sequence, and it shows video only--no waveforms. Audio does play, but now waveforms appear in the audio track. What am I missing? To do any serious editing, I need to see the waveforms! Thanks in advance.

fall into the trap that if things aren't working it must be the
installation. Then you go to a lot of trouble to reinstall and then
end up messing everything up.
Yes I had studied the relative help pdfs including the link you
quote. The fact that it tells you to open a multitrack file is so
deceiving but the last sentence:
'To edit or process the video, use Adobe Premiere Pro or After
Effects.'
does rather give the truth away.
I suppose Soundbooth is only really useful if you are adding say a
music track to an already finished video sequence rather than tidying
up your audio in the sequence itself. I'll stick to doing it in
Premiere and I suppose if wav files need a little extra from
Soundbooth you have to do it a clip at a time - suppose that's ok.
I'm pretty new to video editing (although I have very many years of
computer experience). I am doing video demos for my site
angelakane.co.uk Any workflow suggestion would be helpful although I
am learning a lot by just doing it - I'm not in the movie business. I
do want good sound though. My youngest son is a talented film maker
and he uses Final Cut, Logic and Pro Tools so I don't get much
sympathy - says Soundbooth is a waste of time!

I have some files on other volumes of my network that I want
to link to. I want the files to "appear" to be in the root folder
of Dreamweaver. I think a SymLink or symbolic link, or maybe a hard
link is what I need. Has anyone here done such a thing?

in IIS you would need to make a virtual folder that points to
the folder in
question somewhere on the network. However, dealing with
varying network
permissions can be a major PITA.

Using iWeb, links to external sites revert to the apple site.

I have been wrestling with this for 2 weeks. Even the apple help desk can not sort this out and I have tried all suggestions from the apple support communities so far. When I try to link my web site to LinkedIn, it reverts to apple.live web site. I am going out of my mind trying to fix this. Does anyone have the solution??

Delete the link and try the following:

go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.

NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home()/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

Can i use my computer speakers while watching a movie on apple tv via iTunes?

I have a Boss desktop speaker system that i have connected to my Macbook pro, i was just wondering if i watch a movie from my Itunes library via Apple TV2 can i use the computer sound instead of the TV speakers? The Boss desktop system doesnt have any way of connecting to a TV. Is anyone familiar with this? Please help

i want to listen Ac/Dc on my iphone. i loaded my music, i use itunes match, and on the cloud, it doesn't load my library, as i want. because, doesn't correspond to the store. so, i have to switch off my itunes match, to listen the album Back in Black....
so, which is the sense, to block people to their music? just because is not in the store?

D-Link Router setup

I just bought a D-Link router (DI-624 AirPlus Xtreme G 2.4GHz wireless model) and I'm having trouble setting it up.
I completed the entire setup, even called my ISP and got a little assistance there, but somewhere along the way I guess I messed up.
I have a PC which I attempted to configure the router with, but once I thought I was done, it couldn't connect to the internet either!
I connected the router to my modem with the suppled ethernet cable and then I unplugged the ethernet cable which was originally plugged into my cable modem and plugged IT into the router, thereby connecting my PC to the router. Then I ran the setup from the URL they provided me with, and apparently finished it, but nothing was working.
Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Is there something I should do with my pre-existing internet connection (to the PC) BEFORE I attempt to set up the router and my Macbook Pro wirelessly? Is there something I'm supposed to install before the setup? All I found on the provided CD was a manual.
Any help will be extremely appreciated - can't wait to get my Macbook Pro online!

did you contact the customer support number at D-Link? If they are like the other router companies, they will have a toll free number and an agent can walk you through this. Perhaps you skipped a step. You may want to uninstall the software and just start over from scratch.
Did you use the setup wizard when you first setup the router on your PC? Setting up a wireless router on a PC is usually fairly straightforward.
