Anything out there to batch convert png to svg

Hi there
I really like the move towards SVG but the thought of running each and every icon through a program is daunting - is there any program out there that would bath convert PNG files to SVG while retaining their dimensions - i guess there probably isn't but it doesn't harm to ask.
Cheers

I'm sure there is other software for what you are looking for. This is the reason I asked what is your current device so I can see what I can find out for you. I did a google seach and found this results
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1C1CHMI_enUS302US342&q="City+Guides"+software+for+palm+TX&aq=...
This might not be exactly what you wanted but there is software still out there for it.

How to batch convert pngs to jpegs, but using custom background ? Is there any action or plugin for that ?

Image Processor in conjunction with an Action (that places and positions a background for example) should suffice.

Just for my own privacy i would like to set up a password or pin number on my messgae app is there anything out there that will help me do this please comment if there is a possible solution out there. I know alot may say what you have to hide but ive got nothing to hide i just want one on there so my privacy is not broken by friends and family if they fancy playing on my phone and having a snoop round my phone.

If you visit these forums often, you will read about the 2 year old child who accidentally wiped out the parents phone, the kid who set a passcode and didn't remember what it was, etc etc etc
Passcode your device.   Protect your device.   It really isn't a toy.    The toy is the iPod touch.

  • Angle measurement software for OS X- anything out there?

    Hi all,
I'm looking for software that will do what the below-linked software will do:
    http://www.ttbikefit.com/SM.html
I need onscreen angle measurement mostly, for fitting bikes. Multi-point analysis and measurement would be REALLY nice, but not absolutely necessary. The Sports Motion software listed above is perfect for what I have to do, but there's no OS X version. Anything out there?
    John

I want to do the same thing. The only free thing I found that is fairly limited but will at least allow you to open a JPEG and draw some angles on it is this:

  • Is there anything out there I can plug in to the USB socket that will allow me to adjust the volume?

Is there anything out there I can plug in to the USB socket that will allow me to adjust the volume?
I didn't like the iPod Touch user interface at first, but then I got used to it and now I'm back on the old scroll wheel and finding it a bit clunky to be honest. Whatsmore, I can no longer adjust the volume easily by putting my hand in my pocket and pressing the sides. Why did Apple not think to put one on them, sometimes the design over usability thing is taken too far.
Some buttons for easily flicking tracks and pausing would have been handy too.

  • Is there an adapter out there that will convert a thunderbolt port on my Macbook Air to my HP L2245wg monitor?

I am considering buying a new MacBook Air but I also want to sync it with my HP L2245wg monitor and I am wondering if there is a solution out there that will do that for me without having to buy a new Mac Monitor with a Thunderbolt port. Here is the link for the monitor's tech specs (http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13125_na/13125_na.PDF).  It has VGA and DVI-D Connectors, so I need an adapter that will convert thunderbolt to that or usb.   If anyone can help me out on this I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you so much!

For purposes of just hooking up a monitor, the Thunderbolt port will look like a Mini-DisplayPort, and the converters for that to VGA or DVI will work just fine.
The DVI adapter Apple sells is on their online store at:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB570Z/A
As well, Apple Stores and any other vendor that sells the MacBook Air would also have those connectors in stock.  The VGA adapter is the same price--just converts out to VGA.
Note the connector merely adds the equivalent of a DVI or VGA port, so you'll still need a cable.  However, most monitors come with at least one of the cables (DVI or VGA) if not both.

  • 11n adapters.  Anything out there?

I am planning to buy a new airport extreme base station and look forward to flying "n". I will also buy a new mac that is "n" ready but, I have a lot of other macs on my network that are not.
Seems to me the real value of "n" is being able to do wireless file transfers, etc. My internet connection really isn't fast enough to use "n" speed.
I want to have a raid on the network and it will be nice to wirelessly update the back up.
But, if the only macs that will see the value is the new one I buy it seems like it's too early to do it. I might buy an Apple TV too but, I'm using a mini for that purpose now and it would be great if it had "n" wifi to transfer video files back and forth.
I had heard that there were some USB adapters out there that could give my old G4 powerbook or "g" mac mini a boost to "n" but, I can't find much out there on the market.
Any one have experience with any adapters that work other then the new express card adapters that won't work on my stuff??
    Thanks

    As yet there is nothing.
There is going to be much more to it than just a card.
Remember, a new n draft router will only be as fast as the slowest computer you have connected.

  • Is there an app or anything out there, that will allow my iphone voicemail to act as a business voicemail.  Such as "Press 1 to leave a voicemail for such and such, press 2 for support, press 3 for billing."

I would like to set up mailboxes within my iphone voicemail.  I would like to be able to filter out what messages are most important.  Does anyone know if this can be done.  I don't mind paying for the service.

the voicemail is not a part of ios it's a carrier thing
what people have if any in terms of voicemail is what the carrier provided for them

  • Streaming video question - is there anything out there?

Looking for a nice reason to justify Mac OS X Server. Is there a video streaming application with a typically nice Apple layout available in Mac OS X Server? I have a library/training need and would like Apple to fill that need. one of the things is a video library that not only shows that contents of the library, allows checkouts, etc., but also will stream video.
Or is thing something that would have to be hand built?
    Thanks.

Two quick points. With the new version of the OSX server OS just days away, I would wait and see what new features it had to offer you.
Other point is that this question may get a better response if you post it in the quicktime streaming http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=716 forum.

  • Is there anything out there that will allow me to play my Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 on my Mac desktop?

Unfortunately, no way to do this.
    Sorry.

short of a program a guide to what the xml in the pages actually means so I can tweak each of them. basically I need to make the pages wider, adjust the positions and widths of some of the text boxes and add a couple more on some of the pages (the welcome and the blog entries in particular) with shadow and colors, change the header text, add a fixed photo in one of the text boxes and some other stuff. all off the Comic Book template.

  • How do I batch convert .ai to .jpg or .png in Bridge CC 2014?

I have found where you could "Export" them out in older versions of Bridge but no "Export" function exist in CC 2014.

You could do it like this: http://www.santoshgs.com/blog/189/how-to-batch-convert-png-to-jpeg-using-photoshop-cs2/
But can I be honest? I'd do that with a more efficient and far faster conversion utility like IrfanView. Photoshop is incredibly slow for this type of work. For example, I did a quick test to demonstrate the difference in performance:
folder with 10 images in jpg format, 5600px by 5600px. Simple jpg to png batch.
    Photoshop: over six minutes.
IrfanView: one minute and 40 seconds.
That's a rather big difference - and with large numbers of images I just do not have the time to wait for Photoshop to finish the job. It's too slow.
Another issue is that during the conversion process Photoshop cannot be used - while with a simple conversion utility you can leave it running in the background, and continue to use PS for other work if required. This matters if you have hundreds of images to convert.
Btw, Irfanview (windows only) is free to download @ http://www.irfanview.com/
The batch processing you can find under File-->Batch Conversion <b>
ImageMagick is also free and open source. It is a command line tool, and easy to use for conversions. Will also work on a mac. But it is much slower than IrfanView, a tad faster than PS.

  • Image batch converter program

hi. i have a lot of images to upload for online gallery. total space and probably and more later, 1.1GB, which of them each photo is around 1, something MB.
i use archlinux. is there any batch converter program which gives me the option to convert many images together? if not on linux perhaps on windows?
    ty in advanced

Yeah, I clicked here to post about mogrify.
It's very easy once you get a handle on what you want it to do (and work out the command), and if you do the same conversion often it is actually faster (for you) than having to click through some interface to select a batch of images and tell some gui-based application to process them.
I'm not one of these anti-gui guys, but mogrify is remarkably useful and convenient.
    Here is some good info:

  • Any 2-Port Routers Out There?

Hey, I have a airport base station and a PC, both connected to the internet...i have a DSL modem(which is actually pretty fast and im pleased with) but whenever i switch between the internet on the mac and pc i have to switch the wires from my airport to my pc... i was wondering if there was anything out there that i could use to just have both of them working on the web at the same time. For a low price though.
    MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi Et17:
You will need to connect a SWITCH (not a router) to connect to your AEBS. This will allow you to connect multiple devices to the switch to access the internet all at the same time.
You can find many 10/100 switches at places like Best Buy for under $40. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=3697306&type=product&id=1051384141 038
I'd recommend investing a little more in a Gigabit 10/100/1000 switch, that way you can take advantage of the gigabit speeds that your Mac's support. They generally run around $50.00
