Anytime call plan and hub phone?

I have been a BT customer for almost a year now, and have upgraded to anytime call plan, and i use 2 hub phones.
I use the hub phones just like landlines, i make and recieve calls all the time wether computer is on or not.
I am just wondering now, will my anytime UK free call plan prices still count, or will i be charged the minute rate for using hub phones?
Appreciate any info

Two possibilities to consider.
Assuming she doesn't have one already, you could get your daughter a basic unlocked mobile phone for less than £20. Then you can get a SIM-only deal from a supermarket (think beef lasagne) for a tenner a month for 500 minutes of calls and 5000 texts. You'll probably need to stress that it's 500 mins and 5000 texts a month, not a day.
You could spend a one-off £30 on the recently-reduced BT6500; looks like a bargain right now. If gentle persuasion doesn't work you could then block calls to mobiles.

• Unlimited anytime calling plan and calling feature...

I have Unlimited anytime calling plan and it says that I can have up to 3 calling features at no extra cost -
I already have privacy and caller display as 1 calling feature But when I try to order 2 additional features it says there will be a charge of £6.
Has anyone else tried this , am I reading it wrong ?

Yes the three calling features are 1471,1571 and privacy.
Don't BT provide these free of charge anyway ?

• Anytime Call Plan

I recently signed up to The Unlimited Anytime Plan........and was under the impression that Caller Display was Free......however the caller display has never worked, so I called BT and was informed that it should have been activated and apologised but it would be activated within 24 hours.
Later that day I was browsing BT's home page and checked the Anytime Plan and it was as set out below :
The Unlimited Anytime Plan includes:
Phone security and privacy See who's calling before you answer, keep your number private and stop unwanted sales calls – all for no extra cost when you sign up.
But Under The legal stuff at bottom of page -
Calling Plans and line rental:
Unlimited Anytime Plan – 3 months free. Offer extended to 30th June for orders placed via BT.com or by special invitation. Available to new Unlimited Anytime Plan residential customers signing up for 12 months. Usual cost of Plan (£4.99 a month) payable from month 4. Discount via bill credit. Line rental payable at £11.54 a month with Direct Debit and paper free billing. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and may be withdrawn at any time. Exclusions and conditions apply.
Call Features at no extra cost. Customers must make at least two chargeable calls with BT per month, otherwise BT reserves the right to charge £2.59 a month for BT Caller Display or £1 per a month for the standard BT Answer 1571 service.
So I rang BT again and the operator confirmed that I would have to make two chargeable calls per month...I asked for it to be deactivated which was confirmed.
The following day lo and behold the Caller Display started working on my phone. I again phoned BT and was told that NO the charges did not apply as set out above but I asked for it to be deactivated, which was confirmed.
Lesson learned - All that glitters is not gold.

That's not what it says in BT's official price guide. For Privacy at Home, the eligibility criteria are:
"In order to be eligible, Consumer customers must make at least 6 chargeable or inclusive calls per quarter with BT, (excludes calls made with BT Broadband Talk or Chargecard). Should these calls not be made, a charge of £7.77(Inc VAT) per quarter will be applied for the Caller Display service. Business customers are excluded from the BT Privacy At Home package.
Consumer customers who are billed monthly must make at least 2 chargeable or inclusive calls per month with BT otherwise a charge of £2.59(Inc VAT) per month will be applied for the Caller Display service.
The Caller Display element of Privacy At Home is subject to availability."
http://www.bt.com/pricing/current/Exch_Lines_boo/2-3410_d0e53.htm
In other words you only have to make 2 calls a month, NOT 2 paid calls a month.

• Unlimited anytime call plan

Hi,
Anyone know if the unlimited anytime call plan is still available without the 12 month contract?
Spoiler (Highlight to read)
TIA

Thanks for the replies.
I have taken the plunge on the 12 month contract special offer with 3 months free, then it's as DS mentioned on a month by month basis. There's is one still listed in the terms and conditions for the 12 month rolling contract if you look start digging around, but I can't see the point when you get 3 months free with the standard 12 month contact.

Your iPhone was not put into Lost Mode because of an unexpected error. Try enabling Lost Mode again.

• My calling plan and line rental are not shown in M...

When I look in My BT at 'My Services' under Phone, it shows Unlimited Weekend Plan - correct.
There is no mention of the Anytime Calls package that I am actually paying extra for, although this does show up on my previous bills. There is also no mention of the Line Rental Saver package that has also been paid for.
WHY?
Dave

The two telephone companies I use (no names) are probably equally awful for their not giving an accurate picture of what they do before putting a corporate hand straight into my bank account. The obvious inference is that they are dishonest which would, I might think, impact on their image and sales. What I have learnt to do is to complain immediately when there is an unexpected charge. People who operate by stealth usually withdraw the hand pretty smartly when they are challenged.
Good luck,

Hello ,
Thanks for choosing BT.
Thanks for Your Order.
If we don't confirm your order by email or letter within five days, call us on 0800 731 0286. You'll need these details if you call:

• Upgrade Calling Plan and stilll incur overages...Hogwash

Dear Verizon,
I recently began a new job and after a short stint with a company phone I decided it would be simpler to just upgrade my phone to unlimited and circumvent the need for another bulky phone in my pocket.  I also have began talking to and texting a sweet blonde haired blue eyed gal on another network.  Before I upgraded, I closely monitored my minute usage and text messages to avoid costly overages and to see if unlimited talk and text was really necessary.  As I would approach a limit i would upgrade the phone plan to avoid the extra cost and, as I thought, steered clear from a $300 phone bill.  I changed my calling plan twice, ultimately to Unlimited talk and text as i mentioned earlier.  To my dismay I saw my monthly bill was $300 this month, I calmed myself down and called a soft spoken customer service associate who kindly explained that I was being billed overages due to the PRORATED minutes and texts that incurred as I upgraded from the previous plan.  ...
This is very upsetting and unacceptable.  For those of us who closely monitor our usage employing the on-line services to AVOID overages and then to get duped by the fine print to incur equal overages if i had not upgraded my plan.  I know what some will say "You should have just upgraded earlier" or "Well since you are now unlimited you won't have that problem again".  To that I say, hogwash.  I trusted Verizon's online services and I am paying out the nose for it.
Thanks but No Thanks Verizon.
If AT&T's service was medicore, I would switch.
Colton Janes

It's possible you can get the overages covered by asking the CS rep to BACKDATE the plan change to the beginning of the billing cycle; then you will be covered for the whole month.  Pay the unlimited pricing for the entire month, and have no overages.  SInce the bill has already been generated, they may not go for that....but it's worth a shot.
If you were "approaching your limit" when you made the plan switch, then you would be getting overages with prorating....
For example, you were on the 450 minute plan, but one week into the month, you saw had used 400 minutes....so you switched to the 900 minute plan.  One week on the 450 minute plan would net you about 100 minutes allowance for that week - so you'd have an overage of 300 minutes.  The remaining 3 weeks on the 900 plan would give you an allowance of about 600 for the remainder of the month - or less if you switched plans again.  It's tricky, it's going to get you almost every time, and the way to avoid it is to BACKDATE the plan or have the new plan start at the beginning of the next billing cycle.  If you are already over, backdating is the only way.  Saavy reps MAY tell you that, most will not, and just let you find out whenyou get the bill.

• Calling Plan and Upgrade

Appologies to clutter another thread about the upgrade but i cant find any info on this question
To upgrade i will need to start a new contract. Is that all that will change? will my current package be affected?
Currently have unlimited anytime calls.
On the main package page it now shows that the top-end package is only Weekend and Evening calls only and you have to pay an extra £4.90 a month to make it Unlimited Anytime.
I stumbled across the the following on a reply to an article.
It's worth noting that for existing customers BT are cancelling their BT Broadband talk subscription at the same time as the upgrade
Im not exactly what that means, or if this is even related to anyone in infinity on an unlimited call package.
Hopefully someone can clear up if my package says exactly the same as i dont want to be getting hit with a calls bill.
Also it says that i will have to start a new 12 or 18month contract depending on current one, but when i procede with the online upgrade i get to the end and it does not infrom me what new contract lenght i am entering
Regards

The only thing that will change is the speed and the contract. all other aspects of your service and billing will be unchanged.
If you have Infinity already, you shouldn't have BB Talk, it's something they're withdrawing.
I'm not sure about finding out the contract term. You're probably better off speaking to a sales agent on 150.

• Changing Calling Plan and Effects on Contract

How does changing a calling plan effect my current contract/  Does it cause the contract to start over or continue as is?

Hello Redsticktech! You can change your plan at any time. As your needs change, you can change to any current plan. You won't pay any additional fees and you won't have to extend your contract. Keep in mind if you decide to change your plan do so at the beginning of your bill cycle to prevent proration.

• Can't receive calls on my hub phone?

Hi All
I've got the first version of the Hub and the 1020 hand set.  The software is up to date.
My problem is that I can make calls just fine using the hand set but if someone phones using the BB Talk number it rings as normal.   But then if you accept the call by picking up the phone from the cradle or by pressing the green button if not on the cradle  it just hangs up.
I've tried resetting the hub but the problem is still there.
Any ideas what's going on?
many thanks!

Bumpety bump anyone?
If not, I'm phoning BT support tomorrow.
