Anyway of finding out when/if my cabinet is going ...

After having the date for my exchange (Isleworth) being pushed back for over a year the exchange i finally availabel for Infinity. Except it isn't for my property apparently. Or for the property of a friend of mine who lives 5 doors away from the telephone exchange.
I contacted Openreach tryign to find our why the exchange is listed as active but I can't order and asked when my cabinet will be enabled if that is the problem. I received this reply:
"Thank you for your email
The only information Openreach can provide about the commercial  project is on the fibre rollout site :-
           http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/
If an area is not included in an initial deployment, as is the case with your connection, then there is no timescale for that location. The Government through their BDUK agency has made funds available to improve fibre coverage and is inviting applications from area Councils for funding.  Local Councils are submitting requests to their area Councils for them to include nominated locations in their funding applications and would suggest speaking with your Council on this.
Your Communications Provider (CP) is responsible for all aspects of your services including advising on those they can supply at your address. Openreach are a supplier to CPs and are restrained from dealing directly with their customers. Please contact your CP to register your interest in higher speed working so they are aware.
Many thanks
Peter Dean
Openreach Enquirie"
Am I right in thinking that based on this email I ahve to wait for my local council to maybe get funds from central government to pay for cabinet upgrades or to pay for it themselves before I can get Infinity?
Is there anyway of finding out if my cabinet is included in a update plan?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
The postcode for my property is TW7 5BA

Hi erroll1906 ,
Your Exchange ,Washington ,maybe accepting FTTC fibre broadband such as BT Infinity however you street cabinet may have not been upgraded or your on a Exchange Only (EO) Line.
However if your on a cabinet then it doesn't look like your cabinet is currently on Openreach's rollout plan.
I have also checked your postcode against the leaked Openreach cabinet datasheet for 2011 and unfortunately for your post code it states that the cabinet on your street/area is P38 which wasn't currently on the Openreach Fibre Broadband Rollout plan. However the leaked datasheets are now old so are out of date.
I'm afraid all you can do is wait and see if Openreach will add your Cabinet onto their Fibre Rollout Plans in the future, you may also want to register your interest for Fibre broadband.
You can register your interest for Fibre Broadband such as BT Infinity by going to http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/expression-gen.aspx
Please bear in mind that in some cases it may not be possible to provide FTTC broadband in areas due to:
• Your phone line may be connected directly to the telephone exchange and not to a local street cabinet - (Exchange Only Line [EO] )
• Your line may be too far from the local street cabinet to have a stable FTTC broadband service such as BT Infinity service.
• Your local street cabinet may not be suitable for fibre optic cables.
• We haven't yet got the council's planning permission to do the necessary work at your local street cabinet.
• Your home may not be suitable for fibre optic cables.
• Your landlord may not have agreed to the fibre infrastructure being provided in your building (for example if you live in a flat).
Unfortunately BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP who operates this forum) does not have much say as to when and if you will be able to get FTTC or FTTP/H based broadband such as BT Infinity.
The rollout of fibre broadband (FTTC or FTTP/H) is being planned, managed and done by Openreach for all communication provider/ISP. BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP) has nothing to do with the rollout and planning of fibre broadband.
You can keep checking the BT Wholesale Database and BT Infinity website for the most upto date information as these are updated regularly.
The openreach When and Where website is: http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/
Also look out for these FTTC Cabinets on/near your street/area. If you see one near your old cabinet then you maybe in luck for Fibre broadband.
**The Fibre-Optic Broadband Rollout is being managed and done by Openreach for all communication providers/ISPs.
BT Retail (your communication provider/ISP) has nothing to do with the rollout of fibre broadband.**
Hope that helps.
Cheers.

  • Anyway to find out if/when cabinet will go fiber?

    Hi All,
It's been awhile now I moved into my new build development couple of years ago, all houses/flats are now fully occupied for the past year, so the business justification is there to upgrade the cabinet, is there anyway to find out when it will happen or whether if it will even happen?
    Thanks in advance.

If you use this checker it will tell what cabinet you are on and what services it can receive
    http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
You can then email Openreach on [email protected] giving them your cabinet number, exchange, telephone number and address and they should be able to reply with the up to date information. They can take a coupe of weeks to reply.

  • Finding out when items will be added to Apple TV iTunes store.

Is there any website or place to find out when items are going to be added to the iTunes store. For example I`m currently watching the 3rd season of Bones from the iTunes store on my Apple TV, but there are only the first 12 of the 15 episodes up for sale. How do I find out when the last 3 are going to be added?
    Thanks

No one here can answer that question. Discussion of future Apple plans violates the TOU.
Your bank should know - at some level - if or when that might happen.

  • How do I find out when openreach are connecting my...

Ok so I'm now at the point of tearing my hair out....
After a fault with our line almost 2 years ago I got talking to the engineer. He told me that the board in the exchange that runs our broadband is set for fibre but would need all the other work to be completed for it to go live i.e cabinet and cables layed ect ect but I should expect something to happen within a year. So I waited and waited and waited. I contacted BT whom I am a customer about said roll out in my area. They told me they do not have that information at which time the Openreach website line checker said the exchange was enabled but nothing else.
So I waited some more and last October/November (2014) we had sub contractors ask if they could store their plant machinery on our land.. we asked what they were doing to which they replied "digging the road and laying the tubeing for fibre cables for BT Openreach" . They also told us that they were there just to dig the road and NOT lay the cables.
After the work was completed I still heard nothing but then later found out that BT Openreach had installed the cables but had not connected said cables to our serving cabinet. We spoke to another Openreach engineer working outside our property and asked what they were doing and we were told its was work being carried out for "OUR" fibre broadband. (the cables stop at our property and go nowhere else we are literally at the end of the line).
So I have waited some more. Contacted BT (my ISP) and have been told yet again they do not know that information.
Again waited some more then tried the line checker via the openreach website this time I was greeted with your serving cabinet is now connected and ready for fibre orders..... guess what BT have told us that that cabinet is indeed live but our property is not connected.
Openreach (via website) tell me to contact my ISP and when I do (BT) they tell me they do not have that information. I am being sent in very small circles. I know the line is there I know the excahnge is active and my serving cabinet is live but I can't contact anyone to find out when this work is going to be completed. Obviously OpenReach would be my best bet but there is no contact details for end user enquiries.
Some one is sat in an office sending out workmen/engineers. How on earth do I find this out???????????
Before I get any replies I know I have fibre line to the property I know my cabinet is live and I now my excahnge is ready. It seems that the only thing that needs doing is the line to the cabinet need connecting/activating. I want to know when or how I go about finding this out. I am on these forums as a last ditch attempt. I find it very frustrating that time and money as been invested closing and digging the road and setting everything up for it not to be completed and then make it impossible to find out why.

    Hi sharkbiscuit79,
Yes your cabinet 10 on the Crediton exchange has already been installed and linked with a FTTC DSLAM cabinet (making it able to provide FTTC fibre broadband) and has been Accepting FTTC orders since December 2013.  PCP10 (with it's DSLAM cabinet within 100meters of it) is locate on the junction of Commercial Road and the A3072.
However by the looks of things your are just too far away to obtain a FTTC (VDSL2) connection, meaning FTTC fibre broadband is not available to you.
Have a look at the Connecting Devon and Somerset Considerations (particularly the last paragraph) - http://www.connectingdevonandsomerset.co.uk/where-when-map-conditions/
Your best bet is to talk to Connecting Devon and Somerset to see if there are any further plans to get a fibre based service to your area via https://www.connectingdevonandsomerset.co.uk/contact-us/ (as your area may not be inscope of any further deployment). Best give them your full address and landline number too as they can check if you are within a NGA area.

  • Is there a way I can find out when my last icloud back up was using the computer? The screen on my iphone is not working so I need an alternative way. Thanks

My phones screen is shattered and will no longer turn on. I need to find out when the last time my phone was backed up before I go to the apple store. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Connect it to your computer, open iTunes, the last backup time will be displayed on the iPhone Summary tab in iTunes

  • How do I find out when a picture was downloaded in my photo file on my ipad

I'm trying to find out when a picture was added to photos on my iPad.  Is there away to do so?

i'm not entirely sure about the new tab page - in principle it will use an algorithm which populates the slots based on the frequency & the recency of visits. however i think that sites removed from the history should also disappear from the new tab page (when i tried it it was at least true after i've restarted the browser once) - if this isn't happening for you then it might be some bug...
in any case firefox won't have the proper features to reliably monitor your kids' browsing behaviour - they always can use private browsing mode where no traces will be left on the pc or manually "clean up" the history.

  • After updating iOS on my iPod touch 4th gen my Philips speaker dock DC290B/37 no longer charges the iPod.  It will play music but not charge, is there anyway to find out if Apple is working on an update/fix?

after updating iOS on my iPod touch 4th gen my Philips speaker dock DC290B/37 no longer charges the iPod.  It will play music but not charge, is there anyway to find out if Apple is working on an update/fix?

    Try:
    - Reset the dock
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Otherwise you are out of luck. Apple is not making any more update for the 4G.
Also check with Phillips. Maybe they have an firmware update available

  • How to find out when 'enable secret' and username secret' was set/changed

    Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to find out when 'enable secret' and username secret' was set or changed last time on an IOS based machine.
Is there any show command or kind of timestamp or MIB which can be read out?
    tnx Ralf

Probably your syslog server would give you that info.

  • How to find out when a folder or a file has been renamed?

I need to find out when a folder and some files have been renamed.
This happened when Mac OS X was 10.6 (Leopard Snow), now the Max OS X is Lion.
I use standard HFS+ filesystem format.
In Lion apparently there is a file property "Date Added" that change if a file is renamed, but the same property seems to be unused (e.g. -/-) before Lion.
I have Time Machine backups that help me to know that rename happened within a certain week, but I was looking for something more accurate (at least day accuracy).
If file system metadata can't help, I'm wondering if there is some log that track the first time spotlight indexed a specific file.
    Thank you
    /Andrea

Maybe you could keep tabs of the file size. If the file size grows (which it will do each time the writing process flushes that files output buffer), then the file was written to.
What I'd like to know is if there is some way to monitor the entire drive for changes and respond to stuff like that. I know that the Win32 API provides services that monitor the file system for changes, but I don't know if other OS's do... or if Java provides an interface to those features.

  • Why has the Reload button shrunk and shot to the end of the URL window? How will I find out when the Favloc plugin works in V4?

I had installed Firefox 4, but rapidly had to backtrack to 3.6, then again to 3.5. Two reasons: 1. The three toolbar buttons I use most are Back, Forward and Reload. In 3.5 I can group these nicely at the left hand end; in 4 the Reload button has shrunk and shot across to the end of the URL bar. Why?
    2. Versions 3.6 and 4 are incompatible with the Favloc plugin. This is such a brilliant plugin you ought to buy the code and build it in. I am marooned in 3.5 until this plugin works in V4 - running 3.5, how will I find out when it does?

As far as I know, [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ the Classic Theme Restorer add-on] is the only way move the Reload button outside the address bar.
    # Install [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ Classic Theme Restorer] and restart Firefox when prompted.
    # Open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A; Mac: Command+Shift+A), then the Extensions category.
    # Next to Classic Theme Restorer, click the Options button.
    # On the Main tab, make sure "Movable back-forward button" and "Hide urlbars stop & reload buttons" are checked. You might also want to check "Combine stop & reload buttons". Close the options window when done.
    # Right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize.
    # Drag the Back/Forward, Stop and Reload buttons onto the navigation toolbar.
    # Click the Exit Customize button in the lower right corner when done.
That being said, I should point out that you can reload pages in other ways.
    * Right-click any tab and choose Reload.
    * Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Reload.
    * Press F5.
    * Press Ctrl+R (Mac: Command+R).

  • Find out when a program has been run

    Hi,
To find out when a program has been run, I've developed a z program that uses FM SAPWL_STATREC_READ_FILE.
However sometimes, the FM can't read the log file, and also I've known that a program was executed but it isn't on the tables return by the SAPWL_STATREC_READ_FILE.
    Can you help?
    Regards,
    Maria João Rocha

As I understand, the file is deleted (and recreated) if it reaches the size specified in the parameter settings
Following is an excerpt from help (do a search on 'statfile' in the help documentation..)
"<b>Options for reorganizing statistical data (for all servers)</b>
Delete seq. statfile after cumulation if size > (default: 100Mb).
This parameter specifies from what file size the system should delete the statistics file. The statistics file is required for individual statistics and is therefore not deleted until the file size has passed a specified maximum file size. Of course, the file is only deleted if it was completely processed by RSSTAT80 or RSSTAT83 ..
Max. no. of records cumulated per call (default: 20.000).
This is the maximum number of entries in the statistics file that can be processed by RSSTAT80 or RSSTAT83 in one session. This parameter is used to restrict the runtime of the collector.
Options for reorg of application statistic data (valid for all servers)
<b>Delete appl. statfile after cumulation if size > (default: 30Mb).</b>
This parameter specifies from what size the system should delete the application statistics file. Of course, the file is only deleted if it was completely processed by RSSTAT88 or RSSTAT89 .
Max. number of records cumulated per call (default: 20.000).
This is the maximum number of entries in the application statistics file that can be processed by RSSTAT80 or RSSTAT83 in one session. This parameter is used to restrict the runtime of the collector."

  • How to find out when a table was last updated?

Is there a way to find out when a table was last updated/inserted/deleted? Thanks!

There may be an easier way but if you are trying to get info on something that has already happened look at your redo logs and archived logs. It would be hard but in V$LOGMNR_CONTENTS you could find the max time for a given object. Note to use this you need to set up log miner. Since you did not give a version try the Oracle 9i DBA Guide pg 9-1.
