I flash my Ipad around and because of my technical background and sales experiance there sold and want to buy one. Ive gotten at least 10 people to buy an Ipad in the last month i've owned this thing. Anyway to get paid to sell these things on referral?
No I dont want to work for Apple they couldn't afford me frankly. I just want some supplementary income lol

First, the app must be universal...designed for both iPhone/iPad:
Tap App Store.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Tap Updates.
Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
Locate the app in your Purchased tab.
Tap the download icon.
The app will begin downloading and you'll be taken back to your home screen.

If you buy a new Mac with Mountain Lion, any included software is free and can be redownloaded from AppStore for that machine only. Some software only gets reinstalled if OS X (only) gets installed over itself to fix issues. See #8 Step here.

If you upgrade to Mavericks usually only OS X itself is changed (sometimes the hidden User Library is also), all the software (and user accounts) also carries over (compatible or not), and Apple's software is upgraded.
So if your new Mountain Lion Mac comes with free iWork, then when you upgrade to Mavericks it will still be there.
If your new Mountain Lion does not come with free iWork, then it won't magically appear for free if you upgrade to Mavericks.
If you need a free Office suit, I suggest you look at the donationware LibreOffice.
You will likely need to control key or right click to "Open" LibreOffice to approve through OS X's "Gatekeeper".
You will need to manually update it also, as it's not on AppStore.

Benefit of LibreOffice is it's completely cross-platform compatible, so you can share working files with Windows and Linux users, which you can't with iWork.
You also should learn Microsoft Office when you have the funds, because it's standardized in the business world.

Getting iWork for free on a reset iPad Air

I recently purchased three (3) iPad Air 32 GB tablets for my workplace. One of the employees was dismissed, so that iPad was reset to accomodate another employee. I installed iWorks on all three iPad Airs originally for free.
The reset iPad Air can no longer get iWorks for free. Is this because the free offer is only for the first-time product activation?

I believe you'll have to completely erase the iPad. Then, if your company ID was used originally, you should be able to re-download again without charge.

If you bought GargeBand already, you bought a different program, GarageBand 1.3 and not GarageBand 2.0. This is not an update, it is an upgrade, a completely new version for compatibility with the new MacOS Mavericks and GarageBand on the Mac. I'd be grateful, that this time we do not have to buy all new apps again, only the additional content. Usually the upgrades to completely new versions have been paid upgrades.

Anyway to get Tiger for old iBook G4?

I've just dusted off my old 2004, 10.3.9 iBook G4, reinstalled Panther from scratch and found it to be surprsingly serviceabe!
I'm now wondering if there's any way to get the 10.4 upgrade to Tiger. How would I go about finding that in 2012?

Don't expect to get it cheap, and do beware of non-retail versions which won't install on your computer. People are very tempted to sell them but don' know (presumably) they aren't any good to most people.

Can't get email for past three days on iPad.

I have an iPad2 and for past three days when I go to Mail app the "checking..." message at the bottom just goes on and on and nothing ever comes in. My Mail on iPhone and my MacBookPro all come in fine. I have tried changing my Apple I'd password, deleting and restoring my iCloud account on the iPad but nothing seems to resolve this. I'm at a loss for what to try next. Any suggestions?

Try these things in this order. Try to add apps into folders after each step.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. If you reset your settings, all of the device settings will have to be entered again, but you will not lose any data or media.

I got an itunes recepit in my email that was for 3 in app purchases. 2 for $19.99 and one for $9.99 . I did not buy these and im not sure what to do. Im not even sure what the app is but it did appear on my phone after i got the email.Please help if ypu know what i should do. I have a Macbook Pro, Iphone 4, and a 4th gen itouch. Ive never had these problems before and im not sure what device its was "purchased" on but it only appeard on my phone.

Convince yourself to buy iPad 2 over 1?

How did you convince yourself to spend $500++ to buy an iPad 2 over a brand new iPad 1, which the price is much lower now. I'm debating whether I should get 1 or 2.

1. The cameras which are good for videos but not so good for photos.
2. Better support for video out.
3. Lighter thinner casing.
4. Slight faster due to dual processors.
5. I think Garage Band may only run on the iPad2 or may have limited functionality.
I partly agree with Fred about getting a MacBook air, but not entirely. You should really ask yourself why you want an iPad and not a laptop. Do you already have a laptop or desktop?
If you want a device for editing video on the go the MacBook Air would be better. You want to be able to browse web and read books, then I prefer the iPad. It's decent for text input if you add the wireless keyboard, but that's an extra expense.

What were you buying ? If you were gifting content or an amount then that will be taken from your credit card, an account's balance can't be used for gifting. Hi just curious if anyone could tell me if I have purchased an app for an iphone for example My Movies pro do I have to pay again if I want My Movies pro for Ipad?
Does this depend on specfic apps or is everything free once you paid for it on either your ipad or iphone under same apple Id?

Hi Oil Country,
If the app is compatible with both iPhone and iPad, then you can download it to any iPhone or iPad that the Apple ID used to purchase it is signed onto.
You can go to the App Store on the iPad, then to your Purchased Items. Click on "Not on this iPad", and you should see the app listed with a little cloud next to it. Tap on the cloud to download it.
