    Hi,
    Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
    Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if Youtube videos etc play Ok - if they do, close Firefox, open IE and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component.  When done, restart IE.

  • I only get sound from the computer's speakers even though I put in headphones

I have for a while now had the problem that I only get sound from the computer's speakers even though i plug in the headphones, I have rebooted the computer but still the same problem occurs. So i thought there might be someting wrong in the settings, when i open the soundsettings and plug in my headphones nothing happens, usually I believe there should be a text appearing that says that the sound is now going to headphones, am I right? any how, it still just sends the sound out to the speakers and there is no option to send it else where then "soundflower 2ch and soundflower 16ch".
I do have an external sound card, for music recording, that goes through USB, and when i plug that in i get the option to send the sound to that device and also to recive sound and i can also choose if i want to sent it to the computer's speakers. So could it be someting wrong with the headphone jack?

    Good day!

Boot into the System Bios and make sure that Onboard Devices- Integrated Audio is On. Then exit the System Bios saving the change. Once back into Windows, open the Device Manager and make sure that ADI1983 HDA appears under Sound devices. Then re-test the rear green audio jack #4 using headphones. Also, reply to this post with the service tag of the system sent via private message so that I can look into the details of the system and assist you better.

  • I've connected my ipad to my TV via hdmi but cannot get sound. Is there a way to get sound from the TV?

I'd like to get sound from the tv for my keynote presentations. Is there a way to do this via the hdmi connection? Or do I need to connect an 'audio-out? Thanks in advance for your help

the hdmi should transfer both sound and picture

Supports multi-channel digital audio output on compatible devices
make sure your ipad is not muted
make sure you volume is not all the way down
make sure audio play out of the ipad when not connected to the hdmi adapter
if you did and it don't work then it's likely an issue with the connetor
or the tv or it's settings

  • Printing from the main window -- song order is not the same as playlist ??

    iTunes 10.0.1 (22)
    OS 10.6.4
Let's say you have a album with 18 songs. The songs are in the exact order of the album, from 1 of 18 all the way to 18 of 18. (track numbers are also correct, in order). You view by album (constrain the results window by searching for album title)
Now, print. Select any option, (I tried both cd jewel as well as song listing -- doesn't matter which you select).
The ORDER of the printed song list (or jewel case insert) DOES NOT MATCH the order of the songs in the album.
    What good is that?
I can recreate this with various albums.
This NEVER happened before version 10.
Anyone have any info on this?
PS -- if you create a PLAYLIST and then copy the album into the playlist, it prints just fine. The issue is printing from the main window when in album view mode.
    Thanks,
    J

You have your mute button on.  In Settings check to see if you have Lock Orientation checked or Mute checked on the right hand side.  If you have Mute checked, all you need to do is click the mute button above the volume control buttons on the upper right hand side of your iPad.  If you have Lock Orientation checked in settings, you double click your home button and the most recent apps will appear.  Swipe your finger to the right until the Mute icon appears on the left side.  Touch it and you will unmute system sounds.

  • After attaching the headset to the audio jack, i get sound from the laptop speaker

after attaching the headset to the audio jack, i get sound from the laptop speaker

This worked for me as well. Great find! I have gigabyte ep45-ud3r motherboard and I was getting all sound through external speakers except itunes was playing the sound out of the digital output instead of the speakers. I could see this when I went to control panel > hardware & sound > manage audio devices. I did the repair as described above and now I have sound in iTunes.

  • How do i get the components when a new window opens from the main window?

In a given application, i am able to get the list of components for the main window. When an event happens in the main window, now a new window opens here how do i get the components for this newly opened window?

getContentPane().getComponents() can be used, only if i know that new class name thats been poped up when the event happens to that main window....
Is there anyway in runtime to know that new class name & fetch the event...

  • Only getting sound from the left earphone

I changed headphones to make sure its not a headphone problem but there is no sound from the right earphone. If I press the connector deeper into the socket then both the earphones work fine, however, I have to keep it pressed down with my finger. Does not work of its own accord. I have had it for 13 months now...any tips anyone?

I have had a the same problem, only its my left headphone that doesnt seem to work.
I've tried using dozens of headphones and speakers but the left speaker or headphone never works.
I have found a cheecky way of getting some sound through however. If you push the ipod jack up at an angle to the roof of the ipod jack hole then you should find that it works. Just press down on the ipod jack (nib bit close to the speaker hole).
Only problem with this is that you have to hold the ipod to listen to it and it can become quite tiresome. As soon as you let go it will stop sound going through that speaker.
I did also find out that this happens to quite a few people and most commonly is caused when dirt (e.g. sand) gets into the ipod jack hole.

  • I want to link my Mac Mini through my independent hifi system, which forms part of my home tv system which is the monitor I am using with the Mac Mini. The hdmi cable I am using comes from the receiver of the tv. I cannot get sound from the Mac Mini. Do

I cannot link my new MacMini with my TV's sound system. It's a Pioneer screen & receiver with an independent Pioneer Amp. The Mac Mini does not pick up the sound through the hdmi cable, so how do I get sound going through the MacMini so I can appreciate the music and films I want to hear. Do I need another piece of Apple kit? I have seen 'Express' on Apples web site. Surely I dont have to pay for this as well?
I used to have an Apple TV box which had a seperate audio connection from my Pioneer Amp and it worked great.
    Help will be appreciated

The Mac Mini is going to be used for an Internet connection on the Pioneer Plasma/receiver so I can also play stored films from a seperate hard drive. The receiver has an HDMI connection which I have connected the Mac Mini too. the picture is fine, but there is no sound. I have checked the 'sound' settings on the Mac Mini and it registers the Pioneer PDP receiver is connected but states it has no audible connection?

  • Inputting Keywords and then Hiding them from the main window?

Hi, folks. As my subject line reads, is it possible to temporarily hide images to which I've entered keywords so that I can shrink my library of un-keyworded photos down as I enter keywords? Basically, I'm a bit overwhelmed with trying to catalog 30,000+ photos and I'd love to be able to hide individual, keyworded files as I code them, OR to hide them as I put them in various collections.
Is either of these currently possible?
    Thanks for your help!

In the library module, display a group of photos you are working on--e.g., all photos, or a folder/sub-folders, etc.
In Find, look for Keywords with rule "Are Empty". Only the images without keywords are displayed.
As you add keywords, the images disappear from the grid display.

  • Calling a method in a tab from the main window.

I came into this project and I don't fully understand why I can't do what I want to do.
The previous writer creates a main GUI that looks like a normal Windows Application with the menus and things. Then inside he has tabs to navigate to the various parts of the program where the user can input data and receive results. This I understand. He begins the program by using a starter to create a new MainGUI calling it MainGUI.  My problem is now that I am working on the tab and want to call one of MainGUI's get methods, I can't. I can call from another tab. EX: SitePropPanel.getOpenYear() where SitePropPanel is another tab that is created in the MainGUI.  When I try to use MainGUI.getData() it just says _MainGUI cannot be resolved.

In case it is not clear, In the tab, I want to I want to be able to call a getter method that exists in the MainGUI. I thought I could do this by saying
MainGUI.getData();  I used MainGUI because that is name the previous programmer gave to the instance of the class, MainGUI, in the Starter class.

  • Dell OptiPlex 3020: I only get sound from the internal speakers

I have a brand new Dell OptiPlex 3020 running Windows 8.1. I am able to hear through the internal speakers, but I cannot get external speakers or headphones to work - I've tried both the jacks on the front and back.
The microphone on my headset works correctly, but I still hear only through the internal speakers.
    Advice?

  • My iTunes library is not appearing in the main window, only the iCloud stuff.  How can I get my full library to appear again?

I just opened up iTunes and my full music and film library was not visible.  Only files that have a cloud icon next to them show up.  How do I get full music and film access back again?
I never use iCloud and don;'t believe I ever set it up to operate on my system.

    Hello Stormjib,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning iTunes Library issues. Your iTunes media folder may have been move or modified, which would explain why you can only see media in the cloud:
