ANyway to have a shortcut for screensharing

Hi
I use my iMac downstairs, and have a Win PC upstairs. I use screensharing on my iMac to connect over my network to control my PC.
Is it possible to have a shortcut for screensharing to connect? What I mean is currently I have to open screensharing, manually type the IP (I fixed the IP address so Win PC same everytime), type in password?

Open Safari
In the Address Box, enter the following URL:
vnc://address.of.your.pc
After you type "Return", There will be a little Blue Globe icon next to the vnc://address.of.your.pc. Click and Drag that little Blue Globe icon to your desktop or any Finder folder you desire.
Rename the bookmarklet to anything you want.
Now the next time you double click on that bookmarklet, it will start a screen sharing session using vnc://address.of.your.pc

How do I chose the shortcut for the normal Eyedropper tool in October 2014 edition?

In the all my previous versions I chose a personal shortcut Cmd+i to access quickly the Eyedropper Tool which I use a lot to edit my text, and copy styles quickly. With the new Colour Theme Tool this is not possible any more since Cmd+i is used to toggle between the normal Eyedropper Tool and the new Colour Theme Tool. If one goes to change the settings in the Keyboard Shortcuts the Eyedropper Tool is not there anymore. So I cannot chose my preferred shortcut Cmd+i in default and especially in the Text Context to be able to copy text attributes from style to style in InDesign. Only for this I would not have upgraded to the October 2014 CC version, and I wish I knew a way to go back, because I would. I don't see a use for the new Colour Theme Tool and Cmd+i keeps bringing this up and not the good old Eyedropper Tool.

I use the Eyedropper Tool within text boxes exactly as you do, cmd+i shortcut and all.
The proposed workaround kinda works, but if I inadvertently hit the "i" shortcut twice, or if I use the Color Theme Tool, I have to remember to re-toggle it before continuing my normal workflow.
This currently happens often enough that I find the Color Theme Tool to be more of an annoyance than anything else...
Most tools have distinct shortcuts for each variation.
Like the "Type Tool + Type on a Path Tool" combo, or the "Rectangle Tool + Elipse Tool".
When you hit "M" on your keyboard, you know you'll be able to make a square box – no matter if you already had the tool selected of not.
I would have preferred – and expected – that type of behaviour for the Color Theme Tool.
Anyway, I won't downgrade just for that, I like new toys way too much!

How can I make a keyboard shortcut for 'insert footnote' in Pages 09?

I do a lot of accademic work and it is incredibly frustrating not to have a shortcut for one of the most frequent tasks i perform in pages. Please can someone help me?

Menu > Apple > System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts Application Shortcuts > + > Application: Browse to Pages > Menu Title: Footnote > Keyboard Shortcut: hit combination of keys > Add
You will need to restart Pages but should then see it next to your Menu item.

I can't find anything on creating your own shortcuts. Actually, you may want to go to the online help and download the manual in PDF form.

Keyboard Shortcut for comments

I have a question and something to share.
Turns out it's pretty easy to add a keyboard shortcut for
adding ColdFusion comments (mostly so that you don't have to click
on the comment dropdown and select the ColdFusion one, that's 2
clicks). You can add a keyboard shortcut to that Insert Comment
command. But by default it inserts HTML comments. So if you want it
to do something different you can modify this file: C:\Program
Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver
CS4\configuration\Objects\Text\Comment.js
The bad news is, I can't find a way to add a shortcut to
Remove Comment. Does anyone know how to do that?

+System Preferences > Hardware > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts > Application Keyboard Shortcuts > All Applications > click the little plus sign under the window > Application: > Other > browse to Applications/iWork/Pages > Menu Title > Show Comments (type exactly including U&lc) > hit cmd shift c (or whatever you want)+
Since the shortcut works on the literal text, it will not toggle on and off. You will have to have another shortcut for +Hide Comments.+

See title. Most other Adobe programs have a shortcut for Place.
Is there a shortcut I'm not aware of that's not noted at File > Place... ?

I don't think there is one because I've had to assign my own. I use Cmd+1.

Shortcut For Alt+10

Hi,
I am using Forms 10g and need to do something like this..
I have a list of web addresses and I want to allow user use keyboard shortcuts to a launch any of them. I don't have a problem up to 10th record :) But I couldn't find an easy way to have a shortcut for Alt+10
Scenario is

2-www.oracle.com

I want to give the user some option to launch one of the web pages without using mouse or navigation.

Is there a way of assigning a keyboard shortcut to an InDesign style if you have a keyboard without a numeric keypad?

I am just now wrapping up a 600-page bilingual project with about 150 paragraph styles. I have numpad shortcuts for commonly used styles like "bodyText" or "sectionIntro." However, the hassle of moving my hands from the keyboard to the mouse to scroll through the list of styles is time-consuming enough that I use Quick Apply for almost all character styles, and many of the paragraph styles as well. And, because some of those styles are not commonly used, I often find that I'm using Quick Apply on a parastyle that already has a numpad shortcut - because I never remember whether the 5th-level outline entry with para space after is control-shift-numpad5 or control-alt-shift-numpad5. I dunno if this is why Steve finds Quick Apply so quick, but when I get to name my own styles, it's pretty much impossible to forget "o5a" for the 5th level outline with para space after, and I don't have to go scrolling through lists, expanding style groups, and so on. So, I feel you on that skepticism (even though he said it was as fast, not faster) but over the long run I've found Quick Apply to be signficantly faster for long documents with too many styles, despite the fact that
[ctrl-Enter] [o5a] [Enter]
requires more keystrokes than
[ctrl-alt-shift-numpad5]

Shortcuts for the character palette

Is it possible to have a shortcut for the characters in the character palette?

I recommend this Applescript:
do shell script "open /System/Library/Components/CharacterPalette.component/Contents/SharedSupport/Ch arPaletteServer.app"
Save it as "Application" to launch with a doubleclick. From the Applescript menu it can just be a compiled script.
You can also launch it from Terminal with just the shell command, if you go that way.

Change shortcut for delete word forward

Two questions about using Preferences > keyboard > shortcuts to rename an existing shortcut (for textedit and pages):
1) How do I know the "Menu Title" for an existing shortcut? Is there a reliable listing of shortcut titles?
2) How do I enter "ctrl+delete" into the "Keyboard Shortcut" field? Right now it is just ignoring it.

Assign your own shortcuts to menu commands in any app or in the Finder
Assign your own keyboard shortcuts to menu commands in any OS X app, including Finder. This might be useful if a global shortcut, which works the same with most apps, conflicts with a specific app shortcut. In this case, you could assign a different key combination.
You can only create keyboard shortcuts for existing menu commands. You cannot create keyboard shortcuts for general purpose tasks such as opening an app.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Keyboard.
Click Shortcuts, select App Shortcuts, then click Add (+).
Click the Application pop-up menu, then choose an app. If you want to set the same key combination for a menu command that appears in many apps, choose All Applications.
If the app you want to select doesn’t appear in the list, choose Other, then locate it using the Open dialog. Some apps may not allow you to set keyboard shortcuts.
Type the menu command for which you want to set a keyboard shortcut in the Menu Title field.

It’s possible to have keyboard shortcuts for one app that conflict with another app. For example, Command-Space bar opens the Spotlight menu, but in another app it might be used for switching between different input methods.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Keyboard.
Click Shortcuts. A yellow warning triangle appears next to conflicting keyboard shortcuts. Click the shortcut, then change it.

Unless Verizon has a special provision in this regard that ATT has never had, Apple handles all iPhone repairs and exchanges under Apple's warranty.
There is a setting when capturing photos - Automatic, On, or Off for the flash when capturing photos.
If there is no flash when set to On or Automatic in a dark setting and no change after the standard troubleshooting steps which in order are:
Power your iPhone off and on.
An iPhone reset.
Restoring your iPhone with iTunes from the backup.
Restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup.
Your iPhone has a hardware problem. You can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Spacebar shortcut for hand tool not working in Photoshop CC - have tried closing all other programs

The spacebar shortcut for hand tool is not working in Photoshop CC - as suggested in this form & others I have tried closing all other programs with no result. I have also reset photoshop to default settings & this did not make any difference either.

There may be a software conflict. I went through this today. When I did a search in Adobe foruns actually found tha answer on the Illustrator forum: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1027227?
What the problem for me was an app called - 1Password. I had opened it, but not given my password to login and it was on in the background. As soon as I quit 1Password, the spacebar Hand Tool worked.
Then I opened 1Password again, and logged in. This time the spacebar works.
Others mentioned conflict with Spotify. And Chrome too. Couple other things. Read that thread in the link above.
