Anyway to receive multimedia messages

Is there anyway to receive multimedia messages that display directly on the phone instead of forcing me to go to viewmymessage.com to retrieve it.
And if there isn't, is there anyway to save the message off of viewmymessage.com directly to the phone?

This happens if the users MSISDN is not provisioned in MMSC. Contact your carrier to solve the issue. It's not BlackBerry related problem.

  • Can't receive multimedia messages

I have never been able to send or receive multimedia messages in the city where I live. I know that it is not my plan preventing me from receiving media messages because I can get them when I am in another city. I live in an area that is under extended network, so I had assumed it was because of the extended network that I couldn't send and receive them. But, my friends and family who also have verizon, and some of them have the exact same phone that I do, can send and receive media messages with no problem. They can be sitting right next to me, with the exact same phone and same type of plan, and receive picture messages when I can't. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried updating my towers, but I can only do that when I'm in a bigger city...it won't let me do it from my house. Help!

    Hello Mcsomething,
I understand your frustration with using the multimedia messaging services on your phone. I would feel the same way. I am more than happy to assist you with this concern and provide a resolution. I have sent you a private message, and once I receive a reply, I will be able to reach out to you personally for troubleshooting.
    Thank you!

Multimedia texts won't send/receive over wi-fi, they require a mobile data connection.  But they count against your text plan, not your data plan.

  • Multimedia messages,send and receive

Is there an application that you can get so that you can send and receive multimedia messages, ie ,pictures phone to phone.
This is one of the most common used items not to be able to do on that phone.

You can accomplish this via email.
Ask the sender of an MMS to address the MMS to an email address for an email account that you access with your iPhone's mail client. The sender will enter your email address in the To: field for the MMS instead of entering your cell phone number with area code.
The MMS will be received by you as an email with the photo attached to the message. If you also access this email account with an email client on your computer, you will have access to the received photo on your computer as well.
This will give you the sender's cell phone MMS email address - included in the From field for the received email. Add this email address to the contact's info in your iPhone's address book.
Select a photo to be emailed and when addressing the email to the sender's cell phone MMS email address - placing it in the To: field, the email with the photo attached will be received as an MMS by the recipient.

  • How do I make it so my phone can send Multimedia messages again? Samsung Intensity II

I'm not sure if this is even where I am supposed to post this, I've been having a few difficulties navigating around the site as it is, so my apologies if it is in the incorrect section or anything.
I have a Samsung Intensity II, and up until today it was perfectly fine. but now it wont send Multimedia messages anymore, I think I may have accidentally changed a setting on it some how. So far I haven't seen any other problems with it.
Every time I try to send a Multimedia message of any kind, to anyone, it will sort of freeze on the percentage sent bar, for about 5 or so minutes, and then it will continue through all the way to 100% pausing like that, and then say "send failed would you like to try again?"
I can receive Multimedia messages, and text messages, I can send text messages, but not multimedia messages. It fails every time.
I have turned my phone off and back on, I have removed the battery and put it back in, nothing has changed. actually about the only thing I've seen change since the first time it wouldn't send, is that it pauses on 29% instead of 19%.
If you can tell me what setting may have changed this, or another way for me to transfer my pictures, I would be very appreciative. Thank you for your time.

        Hi okikust,
I use picture messages all of the time! I understand why you would want this corrected as soon as possible. I would like to look at your account, in order to determine the root cause of the issue and fix it! Please send me a DM with your name, mobile number, and contact number. I will be happy to review this personally. Thanks!

  • I am not able to send/receive text message on my N...

    Hello:
I bought a Nokia 5800 in India last summer. I used a local SIM card (Airtel) when I was there. I was able to send/receive text messages when I was in India.
I came back to Chicago and replaced the Airtel SIM card on my 5800 with my AT&T sim card. I have a pay-as-you-go service with AT&T. I had used a Sony-Ericsson Z300a phone with my AT&T service before I bought my 5800. I did not have any problems sending/receiving text messages with the Sony-Ericsson phone using my AT&T SIM card.
I don't have any problems using my 5800 with my AT&T SIM card for calling or sending/receiving multimedia messages. I just cannot send or receive any text messages. I have checked the message center number setting on my 5800 and it appears to be correct. I have also done a hardware reset of the 5800 and the problem remains.
    Any clues?

Hello parsar. Even if you have the correct Message Center number there, it's worth a try to delete the existing one and enter the correct one afresh. Make sure you have the latest firmware on your phone, and that there are no applications that may interfere with sending/receiving sms, like some filtering software.
    Hope this helps
And, pakiboy, resetting to factory settings (by typing *#7780#) will NOT delete anything in the phone memory.
    Cheers,

I live in Dubai which a du Nokia 6300 phone. I have downloaded the mms settings but cannot send multimedia messages to or receive multimedia messages from the UK. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Check if your local ISP supports MMS messaging(send/received, or received only whatever) to other ISP(abroad) or local only, & if the local ISP have an agreement with the ISP's in UK regarding MMS.

  • I have the Droid Razr Maxx HD and I cannot send multimedia messages while connected to WiFi.

I have a mobile data "signal," but need to disconnect from WiFi whenever I want to send a multimedia message, including a group message. I can receive multimedia messages while connected to WiFi, sending them is the only issue. Is this a common issue? And is there a fix for it?
It's very inconvenient as my phone is almost always connected to WiFi and I often use group messages for work.

Don't believe someone who tells you that you have to turn off WiFi - I FINALLY got someone who knew what they were doing at VZW - and she had me do the following - and VOILA - it worked!  This is a known issue and level 2 support has access to many similar cases
Call VZW Tech support and tell them you want them to do the following:
    1. You turn off your phone
    2. They "Refresh the network on the voice and text side"
    3. They "Sync network with billing"
    4. You turn your phone back on
    This solved my problem......

  • Droid Razr Maxx Multimedia messages

For the past couple of week, my droid razr maxx has started not to allow me to respond or send anything that is considered a multimedia message. At all. This is extremely frustrating. I'm a college student and often use this as a way to contact my parents, friends, and classmates. My phone is up to date and I have both Wifi and my data plan turned on. I can receive multimedia messages just fine; however, I cannot send or reply to them.
Can anyone help me? I haven't even had this phone for a year and this is just the latest problem I'm having. My sister and mom have this phone as well and they're having no problems whatsoever.

I know it's very important to have an operable device to communicate rcripps. Let's get to the bottom of this! Are you connected to the wifi connection while the wifi setting is on? When you attempt to respond or send do you notice the signal indicator connecting to 3G/4G for a few moments? Are you able to send/respond with wifi off and connected to the Verizon Wireless network? Try powering the device off and removing/inserting the sim here http://vz.to/19QSEGL test and share. Thank you.

  • Why can't I receive/ send multimedia messages?

Why can't I send/receive mulitmedia messages?  I keep gettng an error message that says the message has failed or is expired. Help!

It's imperative that messages are up and running! What device do you currently have? Are other data services up and running? (MMS run over data unlike SMS which run over voice service)

  • I can't receive or send multimedia messages

Every time I get a picture message or try to send one, I get an error message saying that multimedia message failed. When I go to my online account, it says that my multimedia messages is unblocked. So what am I missing? Yes I have rebooted my phone and stuff and called that service number when I upgraded my phone. Also I have a basic phone (pantech Jest 2, love the phone).

  • Can I disable multimedia messages?

I only recently began receiving multimedia text (?) messages on my old, old, old basic cell phone.  Then I got my bill, and am being charged $0.25 each for them (compared to $0.10 for plain text messages).  My volume is so low, that $0.10 makes sense for me, but these new multimedia text messages are aggravating because they aren't even really multimedia -- they're just text messages that are being e-mailed to me and at least one other number/address, and so somehow they're being turned into multimedia messages.
Can I somehow just not accept them?  Not download them (and then not be charged)?  I can't get my friends who are sending them to me to understand the implications of what they are doing so that they'll stop, so I need to be able to do something on my end so that I'm not charged for each one they send me.
(And WHY is Verizon turning these text messages into multimedia messages anyway, then they're NOT?!)
    Help!

Verizon defines a multimedia message as:
Multimedia Messaging allows you to do all of the following:
Send picture and video messages that include sound.
Send messages to multiple people at once.
Attach an address to your message. The address could be your location, or a point of interest, like a store or restaurant.
    Attach a vCard.
You can block them via your MyVerizon on-line account or by calling Customer Service.

  • LG Revolution isn't receiving text messages?

I got my cell phone on Black Friday, I was so excited and no I am just frustrated. I don't receive text messages half the time and my phone randomly turns off and on. Is there anyway to fix the text message problem because as a young adult that is how I mostly communicate. Please and thank you.

    Hi hkell:
I can understand why you're frustrated with the problems that you've listed. There are a few suggestions I can think of to ensure your issue is resolved. For the texting problem, are you using any 3rd party messaging applications? If so, please remove them and retest using the stock messaging application. If your device is resetting intermittently, I would recommend performing a factory reset on your Revolution.  This will rule out any issues potentially caused by 3rd party applications.
You can also ensure that your software is up to date. You can check the current version of software here and see if your software is up to date.
If neither of those has helped in resolving your concern, please feel free to send me a DM. I've followed you to ensure this is possible.  We also have a Warranty Center (Tech Support) line that can reached at 866-406-5154 for troubleshooting.
