Anyway to reset back to factory fonts with fontbook?

ok i have OS 10.5.4 and I am having some trouble with fonts I added fonts a while back with font book and now my Microsoft word will not start it wants to look at every font and tell me i should delete it. any way around this or any way to get rid of the fonts that i put on with font book?

Linotype FontExplorer X has a menu item for restoring your font library to its default state. You can re‑import any or all extra fonts into Font Explorer's library afterwards, eliminate any conflicts you may come across, and activate them whenever you wish. The most popular two are Backup Assistant, our service, and the one that's integrated with your Gmail account. If you are using a 3rd party service then please advise of the app/service. We reset back to factory settings, we had to try a few email addresses before finding one we could use. Now it is asking to verify one of the email addresses we didn't use. How do we get out of that?

We reset back to factory settings. After a few attempts we found an email we could use to set up as Apple ID. Everything was working great. Now it has pulled up one of the email addresses we tried to use, and is trying to verify, and asking to continue to complete the set up. It gets to a certain page, and stays there, won't let us get out of the page. We shut down the iPad, but it came back to the same thing, when it restarted. What do we do to stop this?

You will need another iOS device or a computer in order to do this, but I assume that's not a problem since you are on this forum.

Any problem using PC fonts with Fontbook?

Hi all.
Are there any potential issues using PC fonts with Fontbook? I've downloaded a free internet font, ran the "Validate File" option, then loaded the font into Fontbook. Afterwards, I also ran "Validate Font" and it checked out okay.
It seems to be working, but I'm wondering if there is cause for concern that maybe down the line something funny will happen?
Any insight into this?

No, a font is just a font. All PC .ttf and .ttc fonts work in OS X. Windows Type 1 PostScript fonts (the ones with matching .pfb and .pfm extensions) do not.
The only real problem with free fonts is that the majority of them are not made well and can cause various problems because of it. Read section 14 of Font Management in OS X to see what those issues can be.

I don't know -- scams? You should always keep a backup of photos and data elsewhere; did you not do this? Photo Stream is the easiest way, in which case they should have been on your PC waiting for you.

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.

Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

You could manually secure erase every setting and everything you ever put on it, then secure erase all free space, but that would take forever and it would be easy to miss things. Depending on which OS your MBP shipped with, I'd buy a $29 Snow Leopard disc, erase and zero from there, then install SL.

So I purchased a 2009 White 2.26GHZ macbook on ebay. It came with just the macbook and charger, no disc. And when I opened it to start it up, it was the "new user" screen asking for my Apple ID, create admin ID, wifi network setup, and such. When I logged on it was the new Mountain Lion OS. (The previous had stated that he had upgraded) My question is, since I bought this used, I would like to wipe the hard drive before I really start using it because who knows what the person before me has done to it, (keylogger, tracker, etc) but how can I bring back Mountain Lion if I don't have any installation disc? And what about the fact that this computer probably originally came with Leppord since it was from 2009? If I restart will I have Leppord or Mountain Lion? Wipe my 2009 macbook hard drive, and turn it on to a brand new Mountain Lion OS. I am brand new to macs, and am looking forward to using this but I just want to make sure that I'm starting fresh!

Legally the Mountain Lion installation is actually tied to the person who purchased it and put it on the MacBook. He/she should have removed it before sale as well as provided you with the original disks.
Your best bet now, if you cannot get the original disk from your seller, is to contact Apple using www.apple.com/support/contact if you are in a country that supports it or call the appropriate phone number on this page, they can send your the original disks that came with the computer for a minimal fee.
If you want to bring the computer's OS up to Mountain Lion, you can then purchase Snow Leopard from Apple online and install it, then go to the Mac app store and get Mountain Lion there.

Just to reiterate what Tedfixit said - I would book an appointment at the Genius Bar as well. If you restored it and it is still acting up, the device should be evaluated.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
