Aol and gmail account don't work in firefox
Hi ,
I can't open gmail webmail and aol mail accounts ? the strange thing is its works perfect with Googlechrome ! but also explorer has failures too and cant also not use explorer! only Google chrome !
why ,and how is this to change ,and let it working ??

Make sure that you set those buttons to the default action in your mouse driver software (Control Panel > Mouse or specific Intellimouse driver software).

IMessage and Facetime account don't work anymore in my macbook (Yosemite)
Currently using Yosemite 10.10.3, I can use the iMessages account on different iphones and ipad I own, even a new one just configured.
On my Macbook (I think since Yosemite beta upgrade but not really sure) can't login the imessages account anymore ( I can use other accounts like Google, Bonjour, etc...). I was using imessages for a long time on the same Macbook with Maverick.
Now I get a login error: Can't access, verify network connection and retry, etc... but the network is ok and I'm using correct credentials, the same I use on apple store and apple web site.
On Facetime login I can't get any answer and keeps waiting for login (using the correct or even an incorrect password).
Any suggestion ?This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait for it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
Step 2
Sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your Apple devices. Log out and log back in. Try again to sign in.
Step 3
Restart your router and your broadband device, if they're separate. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
Step 4
From the menu bar, select
▹ About This Mac
Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or invalid according to this web form, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
Step 5
Take the steps suggested in this support article. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
Step 6
From the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If the box marked SOCKS Proxy is checked, uncheck it. You don’t need to change any other settings in the window. Click OK and then Apply. Test.
The result may be that you can't connect to the Internet at all. Revert the change if that happens, or if iMessage still doesn't work. Remember that you must Apply any changes you make in the preference pane before they take effect.
Step 7
Select from the menu bar
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
and click
Block all sites from storing information on this computer
Close the preference pane.
Step 8
Make sure you know the ID and password you use with iMessage. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to find and delete all items with "iMessage" or "com.apple.idms" in the name. Log out and log back in.
Step 9
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
Step 10
Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you start up, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound outputand Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but still doesn't work when you restart in "normal" mode, stop here and post your results.
Step 11
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

Reset the NVRAM.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC).

Reinstall OS X.

If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support. When you set up a support call, select "Apple ID" as the product you need help with, not the hardware model. That way, if you're not under AppleCare, you may be able to talk your way out of being charged for the call. -
I have Cox, AOL and Gmail Accounts.When I tap the Mail Icon, only Gmail shows up?
I have Gmail, Cox and Aol Email Accounts.
When tapping the Mail Icon, on the IPad 2, only Gmail shows up.
How can I check the others?You have to define each account you want to access. Go into settings, the email part, and add accounts. You need to know whether each one is an IMAP or POP account. Enter the incoming and outgoing server addresses, your account and password. Etc.

Two gmail accounts don't work in Mail??
Hi. I have two gmail accounts for Mail 4. When I compose a new message, I have the option of which account I want to send it from and from which server, again, both gmail servers, smtp.gmail.com, but named differently. However, it seems I can only use one server for both accounts but that means the message will always be sent from that address which is linked to that named outgoing server! So if I send a message using my uni email address but the personal outgoing server, it'll say from my personal address! One is personal and the other is for uni. What do I have to do so that I can use both gmail servers? Thanks in advance people!
Add the SMTP a second time, but but with another name and now Authenticate it with the second address. It is the SMTP that changes the From to be the address which was used to Authenticate it.

AOL and Gmail stopped working in Mail version 4.5 but Exchange still works?
I did not change anything or do an update but one day my AOL and Gmail accounts just stopped working but my exchange account still works perfectly. I checked my setting and passwords and everything is set up correctly via IMAP. HELP please!!!
Error I get is Unable to Connect - There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account and try again. The server returned the error: The connection to the server "imap.aol.com" on port 993 times out. (same error for gmail)

My iMac won't Accept My AOL Account and Gmail Account
For some reason my iMac won't accept new emails from my AOL and Gmail accounts which was weird since it was able to yesterday. I read from one of the post on the Apple community threads that I could delete the accounts on the Account section in Preferences and just reenter them which I tried to do but I can't reenter the AOL account because it's saying it can't "verify" the account/password (And I know that I didn't put down the wrong password) and it'll accept the Google account but it won't accept the Gmail part.
Now I have a Mail app on my iMac that won't accept my AOL or Gmail accounts and I don't know what to do. So far my iPhone doesn't have a problem with reading emails and I can still look at the emails through the websites but I want to be able to use the Mail app)Hi sierra42,

Yahoo email not working, but AOL and GMAIL is
I am very interested in finding out how many others are having trouble with getting email from Yahoo. I have a free yahoo account and it was working find for the 1st two days, but it has never worked since then. I used the built in yahoo account to add the email account in my iphone.
AOL and GMAIl has no problem where was Yahoo doesn't work. I'm in the DC area and I know another person thas has the same exact problem.
Am I the only one or is there a fix?

I spilled water on my laptop and my "i", "j" and "k" letters don't work on my laptop. However my main problem is that my password contains an "i" so i am locked out of my computer. Any ideas how I can get around the password and login. I tried the method where you go into single user mode and type in commands, however that method uses some of the letters that are not working on my laptop.
You didn't mention which version of OS X your running but there are password reset utilities provided OS X: Changing or resetting an account password (Snow Leopard and earlier) - Apple Support or OS X: Changing or resetting an account password - Apple Support
Alternately you can use an external keyboard to log in and change the password. Make a backup if you don't have one, it's likely that your problems aren't over. If that water continues to migrate downward and fries the logic board your macbook will be toast. -

Mail crashes after Maverick Update, iCloud and Internet-Accounts don't load
Im very sad, because I need emails.
After the Maverick update everything looks fine, but after starting Mail.app ist shows the usual screen without action and crahes 5 seconds later.
In my system preferences I can not access iCloud (where Mail was not selected and documents greyed out, I remeber) and Internet-Accounts aren't working either.
com.apple.preferences.icloud.remoteservice and com.apple.preferences.internetaccounts.remoteservice don't react. Mail throws the following error.

IPad 2 Rotation, Sleep, and Volume Buttons Don't Work.
I have an iPad 2 running 7.1.1 (11D201) and just yesterday the sleep sleep and volume buttons don't work, and the screen won't rotate at all. I have already tried the following:
Switched the Lock Rotation/Mute settings in General
Power cycling it
Held the sleep and menu button to reset it (the button worked for that at least)
Done a network reset
Reset All Settings and restored from backup
Reset All Settings and restored from iCloud
Erase All Content and Settings and restored from backup
Erase All Content and Settings and restored from iCloud
If anyone has any OTHER suggestions besides what I've already tried, I am all ears. Thanks.Go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

I have recently experienced very frustrating glitches in my iMac's operability (2011 model, 1TB hard disk and recent upgrade to 12GB RAM to overcome very slow running). The machine runs OSx 10.9.5. I cannot sign into iCloud on this machine (althoug
