AOL Contacts Import procedure

AOL Contacts can only be exported via AOL web mail. Sign in via Firefox, go to 'Contacts', sel (check) all desired entries, Tools, Export, select .CSV, Export. Clean up entries in Excel if desired. Import into Thunderbird.
Now if I could only get my local email folders/subfolder from the AOL Windows application to import to Thunderbird I'd be all set!

I don't know what kind of format the iPhone can recognize (csv or other), but you can find a way to EXPORT your AOL contacts here:

Import aol contact list

I want to import ( or export ) my AOL contact list into My MAC mail list of contacts. I also want to bring along all information that I have saved in my different fields such a phone numbers, address's, and etc. So essentially I need to be able to select different field before I export the list. Nikki from CS did this for me on another users list and I know that it can be done but 5 representatives from MAC have not been able to do it over the past few days. I just need the expertiece of the person that knows how to build a file to export.

Yes.
Export your AOL contacts for import by the Address Book app on your Mac, which is supported for syncing contacts with the iPad via the iTunes sync process - selected under the Info tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes.

Ok.. Funambol and FunV10 did not work for me, so this is what I did...
I created a gmail account, imported the contacts from aol, then used microsoft exchange to add the gmail contacts to my ipad2.. I don't think this will create a sync, but it will get all your current aol contacts onto the ipad
Step-by-step:
1) created a gmail account
2) open your new gmail account settings (gear icon on top right)
3) go to the "accounts and imports" tab
4) choose "import mail and contacts"
5) follow the pop-up window requests
*** the import process says that it may take as long as 2 days for gmail to get all the mail and contacts, but my experience was almost instant
6) on your ipad (mine is an ipad2 running iOS6.0) go into "settings"
7) then.. "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
8) then.. "Add Account"
9) then.. "Microsoft Exchange" DO NOT CHOOSE GMAIL or AOL
10) then.. enter your gmail account and password (description is up to you, i used the gmail email address) ... click "next"
11) then enter the server "m.google.com" .. leave the Domain empty and enter your gmail email address in the "Username" field
12) choose the information you want to get (I only chose "contacts")

AOL Contact in Jabber Client

Has anyone been able to successfully set up an AOL Contact on their Jabber client?
I'm using Jabber 8.6.4 for Mac and whenever I specify my wife's AIM account name and select the checkbox for "This is an AOL account", then click the "Add" button, I get no feedback from the application on whether it failed or succeeded. She reports not receiving an invitation request to her account.
Are AIM and AOL Contacts different things? Is there something else that needs to be setup? Is this feature not working yet in 8.6.4?

The ability to add users who are not AD users is coming in Jabber 9.1. The tentative release date for this is Sept but that is subject to change.

What media was it recorded on? If it's a VHS tape, look into a "capture card" like the Dazzle series. If you recorded on DVD, use Handbrake or a similar program to compress it into an mpeg4 or other video file compatible with iTunes.

Does anyone know a way that a PC user can tranfer AOL email address contact history to iPhone 3G? In an earlier thread, Allan Sampson solved this need for a Mac user via Internet_Utilities/aolserviceassistant.html. Is there any way for a PC user like me, who has hundreds upon hundreds of useful email addresses available while in AOL, to get those addresses recognized by my iPhone, or even made a part of my contact list?

I'm not aware of an AOL Service Assistant or similar for Windows, but maybe a Windows user here is aware of such a utility for Windows. Other than that, have you tried a Google search to see what might turn up?
The AOL program is not supported with the iPhone for syncing contact information. You need to get your AOL contacts from the AOL program into an address book application on your computer that is supported for syncing contact information with the iPhone.
I wonder if there is a way to export your AOL contacts as a tab-delimited or CSV plain text file via webmail access with a browser for your account?

You can not add MSN Buddies to the AIm Buddy List.
You can however create a Jabber ID and then with a Third Party App link to what is called a Transport that will connect you to the MSN Service for Text Only chats.

Foreign trade data: import procedure determination in PO

Hi,
The import procedure field in my PO is sometimes filled in sometimes not. When I use PO-Type ZFA I get my import procedure automaticaly filled. When I use PO-Type ZRP i do not get it filled in. Although the Article, supplier and plant are exactly the same. Where can I give in the default value for import procedure for each PO-type?

My client wants to map the Import purchase in SAP.
I would like to know the import procedure process in purchasing and what are the various documents involved in the whole cycle.
And how to map the same in SAP.
1. Customization steps needed to map this scenario in SAP. - Including Pricing procedure, condition types, schema, tax code to be created, account keys, any account determination steps needed.

In case of Import PO, Excise Duties don't come from Tax Procedure, These come from MM Pricing. Here you have to use a Zero % Tax Code.
First of all create following condition types in M/06, as suggested below method;
JCDB IN:Basic Custom Duty
JCV1 IN : CVD
JECV IN : Ed Cess on CVD
J1CV IN : H&SECess on CVD
JEDB IN : Ed Cess on BCD
JSDB IN : H&SECess on BCD
JADC Addnl Duty of Custom
JCV1, JECV, J1CV and JADC will go to Excise MODVAT Accounts and JCDB, JEDB and JSDB will get loaded on inventory.
In M/06, for all above conditions, keep following controls;
Cond. class A (Discount or surcharge) Plus/minus A (Positive)
Calculat.type A (Percentage)
Cond.category B (Delivery costs)
Activate "Currency Conversion" and "Accrual"
Vendor in GR 2 (Entry always possible)
Then assign the above condition types in Imort Pricing in M/08
Also check following;
SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Basic Settings > Determination of Excise Duty > Maintain Excise Defaults > Here assign following for Tax Procedure;
CVD cond. - CV1
ECS cond. - JECV
ADC cond. - JADC
And J1CV need not be assigned since it is hard-coded in SAP Standard program.
Also do account determination in OBYC as your have already done for MIRO of Customs Invoice.
Also check in SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Basic Settings > Maintain Company Code Settings > Here Assign CVD Clearing A/c in your Company Code.
In case of Import Purcase;
1. First you create Import PO and input all the Import duties in PO.
2.Then you do LIV for Customs Office (Here you enter all the Import duties as per Bill of Entry) and following A/c entry get generated;
Customs Office A/c - Cr (Vendor Recon A/c)
Customs Duty Clearing A/c - Dr (OBYC - ZCC)
CVD Clearing A/c - Dr (OBYC - ZCV)
3. Then Capture Bill of Entry in J1IEX.
4. Then you do GR w.r.t. Import PO (MIGO), Accounting Entry will come as following;
Stock A/c - Dr (OBYC - BSX)
GR/IR Clearing A/c - Cr (OBYC - WRX)
Customs Clearing A/c - Cr (OBYC - ZCC)
5. Post Bill of Entry in J1IEX, and Accounting Entry will come as following;
CENVAT Receivable A/c (BED, ECS, SECess and ADC) - Dr (From Account Detmn of GRPO with Sub Trans Type - IP)
CVD Clearing A/c - Cr (From Compnay Code Settings of Excise)
6. MIRO - For Import Vendor
Import Vendor - Cr (Recon A/c)
GR/IR Clearing A/c - Dr (WRX)
7. MIRO - For Clearing Agent
Out of following conditions;
JCDB IN:Basic Custom Duty
JCV1 IN : CVD
JECV IN : Ed Cess on CVD
J1CV IN : H&SECess on CVD
JEDB IN : Ed Cess on BCD
JSDB IN : H&SECess on BCD
JADC Addnl Duty of Custom
JCDB, JEDB, JSDB will get loaded to Stock and JCV1, JECV, J1CV and JADC will get posted to CENVAT Receivable A/c
In M/08, assign A/c Key ZCC to JCDB, JEDB, JSDB conditions and Customs Clearing A/c in OBYC and A/c Key ZCV to JCV1, JECV, J1CV and JADC conditions and CVD Clearing in OBYC.
Note: - Here you don't have to use Tax Procedure Accounting (OB40) in case of Imports. Only maintain a Zero % Tax Code in Import PO.

IF the import data tab shows up is depending on customizing for foreign trade data.
The setting is done in IMG
MM > Purchasing > Foreign Trade/ Custome > Control FT data in MM SD documents > Import screens in purchasing document
