AOL mail can't log in
Last two day I can use aim mail but now I can't open log in page and I need to use aim mail because msn & hotmail has only 2 mb which I can't sent file at least 4 mb from home to office like I use to do how can I fix this problem

Safari in Jaguar is dated. While it will work, IMO you're better off using Firefox 2.0. Easy to install, easy to use. The Frequently Asked Question page ought to answer questions you have about the browser.

Mac mail can't log into verizon server?
My mom has been having this problem for months where she has not been receiving mail, but when she took it to the apple store yesterday, it made it worse. Now we can't even get onto her account in the mail. When I try to set up her account again, the settings says that it can't log in to the mail server. And when I had signed her in at one point, it was constantly asking for the password again, without showing the mail.
Now I have Managed to log into her account with the contacts and calendars and etc, but the only thing not working is the email because the mac can't connect to the verizon servers.
I have tried just about everything, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!Hi,
This is DB issue, have you tried rebooting the server to let the VSM know it has enough space on the / partition?
run following command on the VSOM ssh session.
1. vscheck - check for DB validation
2. service cisco status - If all the services are running. -
AOL Mail Can not connect to server
I am having problems with the email client on the playbook. I have both AOL and Yahoo email accounts. Both accounts downloaded properly since the 2.0 upgrade, but recently, another update was downloaded and now my AOL account keeps popping up "unable to connect to server" but yet the email is there. However, every now and then, when you try to "read" it, it just keeps downloading. Any one else have this problem and know of a fix?
I would delete the all account and reconfigure it. It should be am IMAP Account.

I am no longer using AOL's web site, but was told to get to AOL thru Firefox. How can I forward my e-mails? When I hit "forward" the e-mail appears, but when I hit my "contacts, (so I can insert e-mail addresses) the e-mail is gone and now is in "old" mail

Is your document a PDF?
Did you have it open in Reader or Acrobat Prod?
Can you log into https://files.acrobat.com/ and search for your document?
If your document is a PDF, you can open it in Adobe Reader and you can send the file using Adobe SendNow
Select 'Tools' from the top bar
In the right hand panel select 'Send Files'
Click on 'Sign In' - you will be prompeted to enter your Adobe ID and password
Enter an email address into the To field
Option: Fille out the Subject and Message fields
Select Send Link button -
Firefox 3.6.13 does not load AOL mail - it logs in ok but does not load
I updated Firefox to the latest version and it will not load my AOL eMails.
I can however log into my AOL account and it shows the Welcome message and number of unread mail and also shows the folders etc. including Spam folder but it does not load the eMail or will not allow me to open any eMails.- Just shows blank.
BTW I can access my AOL mail Box with Internet Explorer.* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I can't open my AOL mail while on Firefox. It always worked before but now a blank page show when I click on individual mail. I can open my AOL mail with Internet Explorer. Anyone know how to fix this???

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

I need help with resetting my ichat. When i try to login now it wont let me... it says "AOL Instant Messenger password" and then "iChat can't log in to ... because your login ID or password is incorrect. How do I reset this if I cant log in? When I try to press online the same thing pops up and I have no way of logging in or asking for help.

iChat (it would help to know which version) can accept Apple IDs as valid AIM Screen Names.
However if you have iChat 5 or earlier you cannot use ones ending in @me.com or @icloud.com issued by iCloud. (they can be used in iChat 6 or Messages as these versions make a double login to AIM and Apple to allow the use of the password).
In addition if you are using an Apple ID for an AIM Screen Name the password still needs to keep to the 16 character limit that AIM has.
AN @mac.com name can be used on any version of iChat (Until the 30th June 2014)
As it does not need a double check with Apple you can use it to log in to the AIM Web pages
Login here with an AIM Name registered at AIM or and @mac.com name and see if you get any suspended account messages.
Sometimes account can be suspended. Usually because something has triggered the "Unusual Activity" item.
About a year ago many @mac.com users that travelled out of their own country found themselves suspended when they got home.
If the Name checks out of if an Apple ID the password in known to be 16 characters or Less then do this:-
In Lion upwards open a Finder Window and use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.
Select the Library that appears in the menu list.
Navigate to Preferences.
(If you have version earlier than Lion the just navigate to ~/Library/Preferences (that's the Library in you Home - Little House icon - folder)
Fnd com.apple.ichat.aim.plist (even if you are using Messages)
Drag the file to the Trash and Restart the app.

Okay, so I have been having trouble with my mail application all week. The window refused to open and would not quit. Today, I tried to shut down my mac and a pop up window told me that I was unable to shutdown because mail was open. After using a key combination, I successfully was able to quit mail with force quit. Then I was able to shut down with out a problem. However, upon rebooting, my computer refused to let me loggin. I put in my password correctly but then the rainbow pinwheel showed up and stalled for a minute and then my screen flashed and the gray screen reappeared, expecting a password. I tried turning it off and back on again with no luck. I also reset my password after reading a similar discussion, but I still can't log in. How can I fix this?

I can not get the Iphone 5 to send out aol mail. I have added the extra smtp server as suggested and it still will not send mail.
I am having the same problem. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I called apple restored my phone to its original and it did not work :-( Now it seems like it worked for a bit than stopped again. Now I have to contact Apple again to set up an appointment at an Apple store because it may be an issue with my phone. I have only had it for a week and half!

Can't send email through my aol mail on my iPad 2 after updating to iOS 7
I had to update m iPad because I was no longer able to work a lot of my apps because they kept telling me that there was an update that I had to do in order to even work my apps! I was very reluctant to do it in the first place fearing that I would loose a lot of my pics, videos and or more! Anyway so the other day I sat down and finally did it. After updating my iPad 2 to the new operating system of iOS 7 now I cannot send emails through my aol mail on my iPad. I tried putzing with the settings for smtp and to no avail nothing, I then decided well maybe downloading the aol app would help but still not good enough because it takes up so much room that I had to delete some apps just to get it. I had since deleted the aol app and am still trying to figure out why I keep getting the message I am getting is incorrect] hen it gives me two options which are option 1) Settings and option 2) Cancel. I am in need of assistance here because I can receive mail but cannot send it. Oh and I am able to send mail through my other email addresses on my iPad mail including my me.com and iCloud.com as well as two others but am not able to send through aol. I am loosing my patience with apple very quickly as one why did I have to update the system and why am I forced to update my apps which I feel is completely ridiculous in the first place. Everything was fine until I had to do that and now I cannot keep my iPad on for more then an hour when the battery drains so quickly now because I guess it takes up so much unneeded space! PLEASE HELP ME!

Here is an article I would recommend going through when experiencing issues with mail. The usual fix would be to delete the email account in question and add this account via the preset AOL option. I would also recommend checking with your email provider for security procedures such as two-step verification as this could cause this issue.
