Aorport Expresse getting Worn of?????

I use my Airport Express for my Internet connections and for Airtunes music streaming. We do that for over a year now with no problems since a few months. At first there was an occasional drop of connection, but it's getting worse. Is it because Snow Leopard, my daughter got an iMac so we have 2 iMacs, 2 iBooks, 2 iPhones and an iPod touch connecting through it. But it is so worse that when i get some big data streams through it (coping from one to another comp., or Music streaming it cut's out very fast. Sometimes when the traffic in our house is high, already when somebody opens a new webpage, so it seams at least. I tried resetting, other channels, other cables, another electrical outlet, another router. Disabling other wireless devices such as DEC telephones etc, but it is still happening and getting worse. Al the time i have the Airport i have used it heavily, almost always ongoing, so i thought, could it been worn out, because i can not think of another solution and i'm sure it is the Airport that is the culprit. Could it be. I think i'm going to buy a time capsule for the heavy use and hope that the express is at least giving me the Airtunes function.

Problem with *rec(Expression = (GET

Hello Experts
We have one system account PUTLOGIC which we use so that specific logic always should be triggered. In this case i use PUTLOGIC to REC Account=Erpfpagl,accdetail=F_chacpr and a varaibel s10_0011, the problem is that only s10_0011 gets REC:d on the account and not Erpfpagl. I don't think it's a scope problem since if I change the code to what's commented away below I am able to rec ERPFPAGL. So I assume there's something wrong with the GET statement? Any idea about what the problem might we would be very appriciated.

I assume it can't be a scope problem/that the data is not in the dataset, since *WHEN ACCOUNT and GET in these two cases should use the same scope? Or am I wrong?

Macbook Pro 2011 getting worn out

My MBP from 2011 is starting to get worn out on the keyboard. The keys i use a lot has begun to have a clear/brigt spot in the middle of it.
I was just wondering what you guys are doing to preserve your MB´s so to speak and what would you recommend me doing? I was planning on getting a keyboard cover, but I can´t seen to find any that will fit my european keyboard, or perhaps just use it as I normally would and then get it replaced at a Apple retailer.

It has a nice soft feel, and rubber feet to keep it from moving on hard surfaces. It doesn't scratch and protects my MBP well. Not a dent or scratch on it. Apple Airport Express gets warm en shut off (dead)

My 14 month old Apple Airport Express gets warm en shut off (dead) after few minutes. Have to disconnect power, wait and reconnect but the same happens again. Have re installed sw. Is it a warranty issue or just go by a new one?

Thanks but its bought online in apple store and Apple shops are rear to find in south off Norway. Before I send it back, do you know normal warranty? 12 ore 24 mounds or is it due to national rules? Normal consumer warranty in Norway are at least 24 mounts.

Sony internet connection and aorport express

I have an airport express and am buying a Sony 40Z5100 which gets internet by connecting it to a wireless router. My airport express is obviously hooked up to my cable now. Will I be able to have an ethernet connection to my T.V, or is there only ethernet connection that is being used by my cable? And if so , what do I have to do?

I'm assuming that you have the newer version of the AX now, the 802.11n version, correct?
If you add the second AX 802.11n, you can configure it to either "extend" your current wireless network (if you want more wireless coverage in the area where it will be located), or "join" your wireless network (if you don't need additional wireless coverage in the area where it will be located).
In either case, the second AX will communicate to the first using wireless. If you have a good wireless signal now, this should work well.
Post back if you need help on the configuration of the second AX, but first...make sure that your current AX is an 802.11n version. The actual model number is listed in the fine print on the side of the device. The 802.11n version is model number A1264.

Groovy Expression get Values of Unique Key

Hi all,
I am trying to create a custom error message for a unique key validation. With other error messages that just evaluate one field I have been able to do things like:
Value {0} already exists
With the token for 0 being newValue. When I am validating a unique key when I pull newValue it gives me one of the fields it validates on, is there another expression to get all the values?

you can directly use attrName to get the particular attrValue..
like instead of using newValue using attr FirstName.
if you want to customize the error message more then you can create entityImpl class and create a method that will return the custom error message i.e you have a method like getErrorMessage() then you can access it like
adf.source.getErrorMessage().. but i think the first one will solve your problem....

(Groovy Expression) Get the no. of days between two dates

Hi All,
I am using ADF-BC-11g to create an entity object with 2 specific columns ActualDate and EstimatedDate both of Date type. I also want an additional field DaysBetweenTwoDates showing the difference between these two dates. Hence, I add another attribute DaysBetweenTwoDates in my entity object and after removing the Persistent property, I modify the expression field as ActualDate - EstimatedDate. When I test my AM, I get an error as below:

Can anyone please tell me how to achieve the same?
Please note that I can not add a new column DaysBetweenTwoDates in the table nor can I have a new VO attribute subtracting and storing the difference as there are some logical and refreshing constraints.
Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Airport Express gets confused between two other Airports

I had to get sure that a whole house of a friend was able to connect to the same wifi-network with apple Airport Express and Extreme.
There are two Extreme base stations and 4 Express installed, all (but one) are getting the signal out of a Ethernetcable and create the signal itself with the same SSID and password. That works.
The one which has no acces to a Ethernetcable is extending the signal of the other Stations. Now the problem is, this station is kinda in the middle of two Airport Express base stations, now it switches the source signal and after a while it's not available anymore. On this Express is the Soundsystem, so it's quite annoying when the sound suddenly stopps.
How could I fix this, since I think it's not possible to fix the source on the device just the network but I want the network in the house to be the same and not having two different SSIDs. Shall I install a ironwall between one of the stations

the new Airport Express 2Generation with the latest Firmware 7.6.2
the new Extreme base Station with latest Firmware 7.6.2

Airport Express getting priority over Extreme

Hi guys,
So i have both an airport express and extreme. The Express is extending the network of the Extreme to the rest of the house, which is exactly what i want it to do, however; where i am in my room i get perfect connection to the Extreme but for some reason i get connected to the Express' network.
This is a problem because the Express' network is significantly slower for downloading (about a 7th of the speed) than the Extreme. So i was wondering if there was a way to get the Extreme to have connection priority over the Express even though they are technically the same network?

Unfortunately, no. Your computer will automatically connect to the wireless point that has the best signal strength...not necessarily the fastest speed.
You may want to experiment with the placement of the AirPort Express to see if you can improve the speed on the network. Most users place the AirPort Express much too far away from the main router.
A good starting point would be a location this is about 1/2 the distance between the main router and the area that needs more wireless coverage. The important thing to remember here is that +the Express can only "extend" what it "receives"+. It does not "boost" the signal. So, if you have it located where it receives a slow signal, that is what it will extend.
So, you wind up with a strong "low" signal if the Express is located too far away from the main router.

One way sync from Outlook Express gets Unable to read application data error

I have a BB Flip, 8220, and am trying to use Outlook Express as my Contacts organizer. I have started Outlook express "vanilla" and only have one records in Outlook Express. I have 34 records in my BB Contacts. When I run synchronize (and again, I am trying to do this one way, from Express to BB) I get the error "Unable to read application data", "Processing Device Address Book", "Record 34 of 34 Records".
I have read many of the threads. I have checked the RIM.log file and it says one way sync. Any clues on how to fix this? I am on Desktop 4.6, do I need to upgrade to 4.7?
Please advise.

Well I fixed the problem. What I did was run a Backup using the desktop mgr software, I then ran a restore, but I used the Advanced option so that I could open the ipd backup file and then select just the contacts database and push that from my computer to the device (using the right arrow copy button in the middle of the Advanced window thingy). I then reran the Sync and it WORKED!
Doing the backup and restore must have fixed the corrupted record on my phone. Wonderful. I was nervous, but it worked jst fine.

Regular expression - get longest number from string

I believe it is easy one but I can't get it.Lets say I have a string 'A1_1000' I want to substract the 1000 using regular expression. When I feed Match regular expression I get '1' which is not the longest number. I know other ways of doing that but I want clean solution in one step. Does anybody knows the right regular expression to accomplish that? Thanks!

Since multiple checks are required I would tend to beieve that we do have to loop through the possibilities. in this example
I start check at offset "0" into the string for a number. Provided i find a number I check if it is longer that any previous number I found and if so save the new longer number in the shift register.

In ServiceRequests Table Product_Id is a an attribute, and Product Information like Product Name , Product Description is in Products Tale. The relation between theses is Product_Id column in ServiceRequests Table.
Getting the Product_Id , I need to get the Names of the Produts that have Freezer in the first word of their name.

I didn't notice before you're using get(..) and getField(..). If you've got your classes mapped you shouldn't have to use getField(..). By capturing your object-relational mappings in TopLink, you enable querying based on the attributes of objects instead of the database columns. This helps decouple your code from the data model. For example, I can write the following expression given the classes below:
ExpressionBuilder employee = new ExpressionBuilder();
Expression where = employee.get("address").get("streetName").equal("Main");
emp = (Emp)session.readObject(Emp.class, where);

...See how I reference the address attribute of an Emp and put a constraint on the streetName? This expression will result in a SQL join based on the table reference info I provided in the TopLink one-to-one mapping between Emp and Address. I don't use the column names in my query at all. The are encapsulated in the TopLink mappings.

I agree that it's probably interference. Only other possibility, since you mentioned it, it overheating. Is the express situated so that it is well ventilated? That is to say, not buried under other equipment and laying on its side? What does the status light do when you lose connection?

Airport Express Getting Started.... Password

I am in the first steps of getting started. In Airport Utility I want to set up my device... I see Airport Express on the left that I want to set up! It says
"Airport Utility found an Airport Express with 802.11n that is reporting problems."
When I select it and hit continue it says
"Enter the password for the selected Airport wireless device:"
I haven't set this up yet, how do I have a password. I went through everythinig possible I would use and nothing. It doesn't have any other option but this step. What can I do... I have had this thing forever and yet to set up... I have no gotten this far which was the farthest I have gone in other attempts.

Help! I have an Airport Extreme 802.11g that I bought in 07 with my Mac G5 desktop and tiger. I now had to replace my apple with a new mac desktop and snow leapard. To set up time capsule I see it involves the airport. Then airport utility tell me that I need to update firmware to a newer version. From 5.6 to 5.7. It asks for a password. I have tried everything. I tried the soft reset. The hard reset. The factory reset. Then I tried to enter "public" as password and nothing works. I am also having issues with the internet connection so I think this update is important besides necessary to set up time capsule.
What am I missing??

AirPort Express getting a leak from FM station

Hey people, I's sure this is a no brainer but I would like to confirm.
I am using express to itunes and airfoil for other programs, but I am geting a leak from a radio station. I have a phone filter that I thought would help but that did not. i created a closed network and that did not work.Can anyone point out filters or somtething that might get rid of the extra sound coming from speakers. Any help would be great.

I'm assuming you're connecting via analog to your speakers and not optically. My guess is a ground loop. Radio Shack sells ground loop isolators that might help; it plugs inline with the audio cable. If it doesn't work, Radio Shack has a reasonable return policy.
