AP 1232 support 802.11a/b/g at the same time ?

Hi people,
I´m installing 3 AP 1232(dual), documentation says they support 802.11a/b/g, they support it at the same time or it is up the anntena ?
Martin Cordero

It will support all three at the same time. So long as you have the A radio installed. As for b/g, you need to make sure that you have the B data rates enabled for them to work.

  • Can AE support wireless 'g' and 'n' at the same time?

Do I need a router or can I just plug an ethernet cable from the modem into an airport express and be ready to go (essentially making the Airport Express my router)?
Also, I'll have two laptop PC's connected to it. One has a 802.11g card, the other has an 802.11n card.
Can both 'g' and 'n' be used at the same time or will I be limited by the slowest card (in this case, the 'g')?

    Welcome to the discussion area!
+Do I need a router or can I just plug an ethernet cable from the modem into an airport express and be ready to go (essentially making the Airport Express my router)?+
The AirPort Express is a wireless router that will support up to 10 wireless connections simultaneously when connected to a modem.
+Can both 'g' and 'n' be used at the same time or will I be limited by the slowest card (in this case, the 'g')?+
The default wireless mode of the AirPort Express will support "b", "g" and "n" clients, so "n" devices will connect at faster "n" speeds while "g" devices connect at that speed. The "g" device may tend to slow down the "n" device a bit depending on how much data is being transferred from the AirPort Express to the 'g" device at any given time. When the "g" device is not active on the network, "n" devices will communicate at full "n" level speeds.

  • WRT54GS Wont support Two XBOX 360s online at the same time

Just bought new Linksys WRT54GS to support two XBOX 360s live simultaneously.  Can't log both on at same time. It kicks first 360 off when second one tries to log on.  How can I fix this and have both NAT types open?

I'm having the same issue.  I have comcast as ISP, Linksys modem BEFCMU10 V3, going to a Linksys router WRT54GS V4, two desk tops hardwired to the router, TiVo with a wireless and two Xbox 360s with Xbox wireless adaptors.  Each Xbox 360 has a different Live account, one has mine the other has my daughters.  Either by itself goes live just fine but as soon as the second unit is brought on the first kicked off.  If left on they will take turns dropping off from Xbox Live.  One night we alternately texted/chatted from both of our Xboxs to the same third party.  When he had signed off for the night and showed be "offline" on my unit my daughters unit still showed him "online" until we shut her Xbox off.  In addition the NAT always seems to change.  Some times its open, others it's medium or strict.  This seems to be related to having one or both Xboxs on.  I found an article on segmenting your network by using two wireless routers and running the Xboxes through the router closest to the modem and everything else through the second down line router.  I haven't tried it yet.  Anything I'm missing?  Something else I should try?  I've talked to the Geeks and some tell you can't so it and others tell me sure it will but they want $$.  I've talked to other gamers that tell they've had two Xboxs on Live with no problem.

  • Can I make the parameter supports multiple selection and editable at the same time?

    Hi,
I am building my report using SQL Server Report builder 3.0. All the parameters are added to the report
by the builder. When the user access the report by browser, he can change the parameter value and click "view report" button to load the report from the database.
For one of the parameter, I want to provide user the ability to select frequently used value as multiple
selection, and meanwhile let them able to edit the value if the preloaded selection doesn't contain what he wants.
Is it possible to archive this goal using report builder?
    Thanks!

You cant have this functionality using standard report viewer. An approximate work around can be implemented as follows.
Have two parameters one based on your current parameter values (dropdown) and another one without any available values set and default set to NULL (Set Allow Null value property and pass Null as default value). This parameter will appear as disabled textbox
    with NULL checkbox checked.
Now in your code behind which gives you first parameter's values Add one more value say <None Of Values> and set value as some default value (-1 if int or just a random string value).
Now in the value for second parameter set a expression like below
    =IIF(Parameters!FirstParam.Value ="<Select None>","",Nothing)
This will make sure second parameter gets activated when you select option <none> from first. Then you can type the value you want in it
In query behind just make filter like below
    WHERE field = CASE WHEN @Param1 <> '<None>' THEN @Param1 ELSE @Param2 END

  • Can an airport express support wireless and wired connection at the same time

im wondering if i can use wireless and wired connection at the same time

The Ethernet port that the old AirPort Express has got is to connect the AirPort Express to your modem, not to connect another PC or Mac, so you can only connect wireless devices to the AirPort Express.
If you have the new AirPort Express, you can connect a wired PC or Mac and more wireless devices or computers at the same tiem

  • Does the 27" iMac wireless card support 802.11a and n

does the iMac support the 5 GHz wifi format?  How about the N spec?

    I'm sorry but I don't understand this:
the unit supports 802.11a channels but it doesn't pick up anything.
Are you saying the iMac cannot connect wirelessly? And why would you be concerned that the very old 'a' standard may not be picked up? The latest standard is 802.11n, not a.

  • Access Point support 802.11a/g/b/r

can you suggest me the access point which support 802.11a/g/b/r ?
My problem is with 802.11 r. i am not getting clear idea about the wireless access point which will support 802.11r
    kindly suggest me the product

There are no APs that support 802.11r yet. 802.11r is a standards extension to support fast secure roaming that was only ratified a month or so ago. It requires client device support and there are no clients that support it yet.
If you want fast secure roaming, Cisco offers CCKM on all our APs and CCKM and PKC on all our controllers.
I suspect though, that you may have meant, 802.11n, which is a higher data rate PHY/MAC standards extension. That is supported in the AP1250 series.

  • AP is unable to associate. The Regulatory Domain '-E' configured on interface '802.11a' does not match the Controller Regulatory Domain '-C'

    Hi,
There are three different types of APs associated with controller and working fine.
    1.       AIR-LAP1252AG-E-K9
    2.       AIR-LAP1522AG-E-K9
    3.       AIR-CAP1552E-C-K9
WLC is AIR-CT5508-K9. Software version is 7.4.100.0. Field Recovery Image is 7.0.112.21. Firmware version is FPGA 1.7, Env 1.8, USB console 2.2. WCS is 7.0.240.0 for Windows.
WCS is sending alarms for AIR-LAP1522AG-E-K9:
Message: AP is unable to associate. The Regulatory Domain '-E' configured on interface '802.11a' does not match the Controller Regulatory Domain '-C'.
Before Controller was 7.2.4 (not sure).
Country configured on WLC is AE and shows -CE regulatory domain. Mesh APs are also associated.
I believe this Critical alarm should not come.
how much is this alarm important? What should be done to resolve this?

Typically you still need to make sure that the country codes are indeed configured on the WLC. Thing can change when you upgrade code as standards might of changed and regulations also. If your AP's are functional, then you should be okay and I wouldn't worry too much about it, but if after the upgrade, the WLC complains about country code stuff, then you just need to verify that the AP's country code is defined on the WLC. May times the AP will not join and if it does join, the radios might be disabled or in a down status.

  • Is Cleartype able to support both RGB and BGR sub pixel panel displays at the same time?

    Hi,
I am using 2 27' LED displays on my PC. One has RGB sub pixel, the other has BGR sub pixel.
I have problem to tune the font using Cleartype. I have tried to tune all displays a few times and always get the following result.
If I use the RGB one as the primary display, the font on the RGB display looks ok but the font on the BGR display looks weird after tuning using cleartype.
If I use the BGR display as the primary, the font on the BGR display looks ok but the font on the RGB display looks weird after tuning using cleartype.
Basicly, the after tuning with Cleartype, the font on the Primary display looks good but on the other looks weird.
I have also tested with single display setup. i.e. connect only the RGB sub pixel display or the
    BGR sub pixel display.
ClearType tuning works well for single display setup no matter which display I have connected.
But once I connect the 2nd display and tune using Cleartype, the font on the Primary display looks good but on the other looks weird. (The same as above)
To be more specific, the RGB display is Philips 278C4 (connect using HDMI), the BGR display is Dell P2714H (connect using DisplayPort. I have also tried DVI. DisplayPort or DVI give same result).
My system is Win 8.1 Pro x64 JA-JP with all latest patches installed, and my graphic card is nVidia GTX 760, with the latest driver installed.
I suspect this is due to one display has RGB sub pixel panel, and the other has BGR sub pixel panel, which means
Windows ClearType need to take care both RGB and BGR for at the same time. I am not sure if this is fully supported by Windows 8.1 ClearType.
Is there any solution or workaround to make the font on both displays looks nice?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Windows includes several technologies to render text on the screen. These include Windows GDI, Direct Write and Windows Presentation Foundation.
Windows GDI is limited to using one set of ClearType settings per system
while the other two support different settings per display.
It depends. Most LCD screens have a RGB striping order. A very small number have a striping order of BGR.

I am using several Macs running Yosemite. I was recently “upgraded” to Xfinity’s new cable modem which can support both 2.5Ghz and 5Ghz networks at the same time. Actually I can connect to the internet over both with a satisfactory bump in speed for the Ghz. However when I connect to the 5Ghz the Time capsule disappears from the Airport Utility and claims to be Not Found. Is there something I have done wrong or just a Yosemite Teething Problem

First restart your mac and try again.
    It could be
that the router and the TC are interfering wirelessly with each other.
You can check this by pressing the option key while clicking on the wireless icon on your screen
    Open Wireless Diagnostics
    enter your user password
    Press CMD 4 then Scan
You will see all the wireless channels being used in your location and you can check if they are on the same channel
Make the SSID for the TC simple like MyTC
    Set 5Ghz to auto
    Update the TC
    Try again

  • Can an Airport extend a wireless network and support a USB printer at the same time?

Can an Airport extend a wireless network and support a USB printer at the same time?

Yes, if the AirPort Express is extending the wireless signal produced by another Apple router. The Express cannot wirelessly extend a network produced by a non-Apple router.
In addition to extending the network and connecting a printer, AirPlay can also be enabled on the AirPort Express, with all services operating simultaneously.
Please note that only the print function will work if you connect an All-in-One type device to the USB port on the Express. Advanced features like copy, scan, mainentance, etc are not supported when an All-in-One device is connected to the USB port on an AirPort router.

  • Can InterConnect support D3L and XML at the same time?

If I have different type of incoming files, I need to install at least two interconnectors to work, right?

ASM diskgroup redundancy and SAN redundancy are not the same and work completely different. You cannot use ASM extern and high redundancy at the same time.
A SAN does not know anything about Oracle database files and redundancy is usually accomplished by RAID. ASM is not RAID and does not duplicate complete disks. ASM data redundancy is based on disk failure groups and file extents. ASM knows about Oracle database files and automatically adjusts the stripping of data, which a SAN cannot. ASM also has the advantage that the storage size can be dynamically adjusted while the storage is online, without having to rebuild your storage devices. Rebuilding or extending a RAID based SAN solution usually means to reinitialize the storage.
Beware of SAN snapshot and replication features as they may not provide complete backup or redundancy if you loose the complete storage.

  • Does 5870 support ACD/VGA/HDMI at the same time?

I have a 5870 video card in my 2010 Mac Pro. One mini displayport (mDP) is connected to a 27" ACD. Currently I have the second mDP connected through a mDP-to-VGA adapter to a 17" VGA monitor. Everything works fine.
I decided to free up the second mDP and reconnected the VGA through a VGA-to-DVI (I) adapter.
    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?cid=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041903&pid=2396&seq=1&format=2
    Again everything still works fine.
Now that the second mDP was free I tried to hook it to my Sony 32XBR6 to it with a a 15' HDMI cable connected to a mDP-to-HDMI DVI-I adapter.
    http://www.frys.com/product/6311581
As soon as I connected the TV it displayed my desktop. Great, except for the fact that the VGA disconnected.
What I found is that I cannot seem to use the second mDP for HDMI and the DVI for VGA _at the same time_. I can use the main 27" ACD and the VGA (with the HDMI disconnected) or the main 27" ACD and the HDMI (with the VGA connected), just not all concurrently as a three-monitor configuration.
The physical connection of the HDMI disables the VGA but not the other way around. Detect displays or rebooting has no effect. I thought the 5870 is capable of driving three monitors albeit one of those monitors is through a HDMI connection. And I would think a 17" VGA cannot require that much "power" from the card couldn't handle it.
Now I suppose the problem could be the specific adapters I used. But considering they work independently I'm not inclined to blame them.
So does anybody have any idea what may be going wrong? Or is this just a limitation of the 5870 in a VGA/ADC/HDMI configuration?

HDMI is basically single-link DVI plus digital audio in one cable. You can find simple DVI to HDMI adapters and cables. They contain no electronics; they just convert between connectors. They do not provide audio since there is no audio in DVI.
DVI (and HDMI) use one data line and one clock line per link. DVI can be single or dual link, but HDMI is only single link. Mini DisplayPort has two data lines available for video. Clock lines aren't used. A passive adapter tells the Mini DisplayPort to send data on one line and clock on the other. There are not enough lines for this to work with dual-link DVI, so dual-link adapters include active circuitry to separate the clock and data from one line. VGA adapters also need active circuitry.
The Apple tech note says that for three displays, no passive adapters can be used.
There are some active single-link Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapters available
    <http://support.amd.com/us/eyefinity/Pages/eyefinity-dongles.aspx>
    such as
    <http://accellcables.com/products/DisplayPort/DP/mdpdvi_slactive.htm>
(You could add a DVI to HDMI adapter or cable to make it HDMI, but it wouldn't have audio.)
but the only active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter I have found is this
    <http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/337561577/miniactive_display_port_tohdmi.html>
If you could get one (not 500) it should solve your problem.
My suggestion to get HDMI from the card's DVI port won't get audio (I didn't see that requirement in your original post) but you could combine video from the card's DVI port (or from an active Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter) with audio from the Mac Pro's optical audio output port to HDMI with

  • Support for Multiple Hierarchies defined for the same GL Segment

    Hi,
In our eBS setup, we have multiple hierarchies defined for a GL Segment.
OOTB, BI Apps 7.9.6.3 provides support for 10 Segments, and it's corresponding Hierarchies (1 Hierarchy for each Segment).
My question here is whether OOTB BI Apps 7.9.6.3 supports Multiple Hierarchies for the same Segment?+
    Thanks,
    Ab

no it is not supported OOTB as of today
you need to customize ETL mappings and OBIEE metadata to include hierarchy identifiers from the EBS segment definitions.
Then you have to consider that filtering a hierarchy identifier becomes mandatory during query execution to avoid aggregation of duplicated values.

  • Microsoft support SUCKS! Do others have the same negative view I'm getting (unfortunately)?

I've seen terrible deterioration in the quality over the years.  It seems I've been wrong to stay loyal despite what most have been saying.  What's your experience?
My latest experience is that Friday night a technician wasted over two hours of my time trying to do remote diagnostics only to say that he was only level 1 technician and that a better qualified level 2 technician would call me.  But, of
course, I would need to wait about 24 hours.  I agreed to a very late appointment of 11 pm.  The time was scheduled and confirmed three times.  That time was almost two hours ago.  Nobody called.  The technician did say that
if there is any problem, I should call the phone number he gave me and tell them my case # (1196970354).  Well, at that phone number nobody answers at this hour.  It's almost one o'clock in the morning where I'm, I'm still waiting, and there is no
way to get hold of anybody.  Through chat I was told by "Piolo" to call during business hours because he doesn't know about "that other department."
Is this what Microsoft has become?  It's very disappointing and a sign of things clearly getting worse.

Phoneing is better anyways, we have some free phone numbers in our state where we can phone to during the day (except for WE). It's true that it's not the best support but as I said, since it's a large company with plenty of applications and stuff, it can
take time until a problem is solved.
    Example of mine:
As usual every Xbox once recieves a so called "ROD" or "RROD" (Red Ring Of Dead = broken Xbox because of bad cooling system inside), I of course had to phone those guys, since I had guarantee for my Xbox, so they can fix it. It took me 5 calls until they
completly understood it, that they actually have to fix my Xbox and not send me anything or whatever. After 5 calls they finally understood what my actual problem was (this even with an extra Xbox Support Team).
Now guess what happens if you go directly to the Microsoft Support. It COULD take much longer than you expect. You can complain about that, I won't stop you, but it will mostly not effect anything.
BTW, I do not know any Support which is perfect anyways.
