Hi,
I have confirmed that , the switch where we are trying to connect is PoE switch :
please see model details below :
we have cisco switch 3750 stacking over there with one non-PoE switch :
switch 1 provision ws-c3750x-48 : non-PoE switch
switch 2 provision ws-c3750x-48p : PoE switch
both the switches are stacked :
please refer below stack-power details as well :
Power stack name: Powerstack-1
Stack mode: Power sharing
Switch 1:
Power budget: 206
Low port priority value: 21
High port priority value: 12
Switch priority value: 3
Port 1 status: Connected
Port 2 status: Connected
Neighbor on port 1: 503d.e58a.be80
Neighbor on port 2: 503d.e58a.be80
Switch 2:
Power budget: 102
Low port priority value: 22
High port priority value: 13
Switch priority value: 4
Port 1 status: Connected
Port 2 status: Connected
Neighbor on port 1: 503d.e543.7380
Neighbor on port 2: 503d.e543.7380
After connecting Poe devices ( 1131AG ap ) to the switch , we are getting below message :
Error Message PLATFORM_STACKPOWER-4-UNDER_BUDGET: Switch 2 does not have
sufficient power budget
I tried to paste the same output in output interpreter but there is no workaround given for the same.
Please suggest me for the same.
In the mean time, i will get details which leolahoo has mentioned .

UTP Cable Length for AP connect to POE Switch
Dear All,
What is the limitiation on the length of UTP Cable for connect AP to POE Switch.
Thanks.
C.K.I believe it's consistent with the limits for structured cabling: 100 meters end-to-end, assuming the cabling system is compliant with EIA/TIA sandards.
Good Luck

Adding a PoE Switch to existing Network
Hello,
Currently we have a Linksys RV016 router with 3 Linksys SRW224G 24-Port Managed Switch. Can I add a PoE switch to my existing setup without any problems or I can only add none PoE switches?
If I can add a PoE switch is there a specific configuration or just plug and play?
Thanks,
BYes you can connect a PoE switch to the SRW224G switches but you will need to connect the PoE switch to a power supply. The only way that PoE (Power over Ethernet) will work is when you connect the PoE switch with another PoE switch. Only in this scenario, you won’t need to use a separate power supply for the PoE switch to work because it is getting its power form the first PoE switch / router.
Regarding if this will just be plug and play, it won’t be plug and play. If you have set up VLANs or other crucial settings in the other switches and you want it to manually set the PoE switch depending on the limitations you want for these PoE switches. -
WLC2106 AP Connected to PoE port not detected
I have a WLC 2106. It is currently working as expected over AP's that are connected via a remote PoE switch. I wish to attach an AP to one of the local PoE ports.
On a different site we have an identical WLAN controller that was setup before my time, but it is working with an AP attached to a PoE port on the controller.
I can't get this to work on the new controller.
I have read this : https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/53421/connecting-aps-directly-2106
and this : https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/44841/cisco-2100-series-wireless-lan-controllers-best-practices
and I understand that the configuration I want isn't considered best practice but it is still one I would like to use, I know that it should work as I have a currently functioning example.
From the first document I have linked I have a configuration that matched 'option 2'. I have everything assigned to port 1, AP-MANAGEMENT is untagged and has a DHCP server configured to the DHCP server for the network, and the DHCP server is on the same network as the AP-MANAGEMENT interface.
CDP ALL shows the three AP's that are on the network but not the one that is directly connected.
(Cisco Controller) >show interface summary
Interface Name Port Vlan Id IP Address Type Ap Mgr Guest
ap-manager 1 untagged 10.20.0.13 Static Yes No
guestwifi 1 9 192.168.0.3 Dynamic No No
management 1 100 10.20.0.12 Static No No
virtual N/A N/A 1.1.4.1 Static No No
The only difference I can see between the two controllers is the software version, with the new one being 7.0.2 and the older one being 7.0.1
Any thoughts?Hi.
First you need to make sure the port is enabled with power.
WLC> Config port power all enable
Then make sure the AP have an IP address, otherwise it will not make a join request.
On the AP config this:
capwap ap ip address [IP address] [mask]
capwap ap ip default-gateway [address for the gateway]
capwap ap controller ip address [management interface address on the WLC]
The AP will the join the WLC. -
T420 - external 24" monitor DVI- Displayport : not detected when connected via KVM switch
Hi,
I've been using a 2port USB KVM Switch from InLine for a long time connecting a mac mini and a macbook pro
to a 24" LCD. Recently I had to replace the MacBookPro with a T420. Unfortunately the T420 does not detect the
monitor, when connected via the KVM switch.
I tried:
A) T420 -> Lenovo Displayport to DVI-Adapter -> KVM-Switch -> 24" monitor: NO SUCCESS
B) T420 -> Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 DVI Port-> KVM Seitch -> 24" monitor : NO SUCCESS
C) T420 ->Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 DVI Port-> 24" monitor - > SUCCESS
D) T420 ->Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 VGA Port -> 24" monitor - > SUCCESS
So I have a workaround, but leaving out the KVM switch is not a long term option.
This is all on Win 7 professional / 64bit
Using config (A) I then installed the Intel HD Graphics Driver version 8.15.10.2342 16 May 2011
SURPRISE: during driver install, the monitor WAS detected!!!
SECOND SURPRISE: after reboot I was back in the old situation where the monitor was NOT DETECTED
CONCLUSION:
Seems like a software issue with the Intel HD Graphice driver.
ANY HINT/COMMENT/HELP highly appreciated!
Thanks,
Michaelhey mgold,
as the T420 works correctly with the external monitor and with the miniDock ; it is sad to say the the KVM switch is non-compatible.
I would recommend that you get in contact with the manufacturer of the KVM. At the same time, try uninstalling the current video drivers of your T420 and see if it makes any difference with the KVM if the T420 is running on a generic driver

I'm trying to connect my Kodak ESP c310 to my Mac mini but it's not coming up in my default printers menu and everything else is working. Their on the same network, software and drivers up to date, but can't get it to connect.
You can purchase recovery disks from HP. Here is a webpage showing you how to do that:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=bph07143
If HP no longer supplies your specific recovery disk, you can usually find one from a 3rd party site, such as www.restoredisks.com for between $20 and $30. -

PCs connecting to ME3400 Switch not pinging to each other!!
hi,
We have a new ME-3400-24TS-A Switch. Its a 24 10/100 Mbps switch. But when we connect the two PCs on its any of the two ports ,they are not pinging to each other. Both the PCs are in the same Network.
basic switching is not happening.Kindly help me!!The IOS version is :S340XBT-12225SEG
Cisco ME 340X SERIES IOS METRO BASE W/O CRYPTO TARThe ports in the same vlan don't do local switching per default on a ME3400. You have to enable local switching for a vlan with the commands "vlan xxx" and "uni-vlan community".
But, only 8 ports can be in the same vlan. So, maybe you have choose the wrong switch if you need a normal L2 switch. Normally, in Metro Ethernet you don't want local switching between user ports.
I hop this helps. Please rate all posts.

Catalyst 3560 24 port-PoE switch powers on but no STAT LED and console not responding
I rebooted my Catalyst 3560 24 port PoE switch and when it turned on only the STAT LED went green the other LEDs are off. I get no response from the console port using putty and the cable I used before this happened. I tested the cable on another switch and it works fine with putty. What can I do with this switch?
This unit was purchased before I came to our company. There is no support or maint contract. I'm sure the unit is several years old...we'll call the vendor and see what they'll do..not expecting much.

My IPhone 4S is hanged during updating IOS 6 to IOS 8, PHONE was connected WIFI and under charging with computor. Kindly help, it is not switching off, not restarting
Hi HARISH INDIA,
That is not good but lets see if we can get it back to life. If you can, see if you can put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you can get it to restore, it will erase everything off your iPhone. If you have a back up in iTunes or iCloud then you can put that on after the restore is complete. Take a look at the article below for more information.

Problem in connecting ESW 520 POE switches
Hi
New on ESW 520 switches
Need help to configure the ESW 520 24 POE switches
How can i configure the last port of 24 to oonnect to another ESW 520 24 port switches ?Why not use the GE ports at the far right to chain the switches one to the other from the UC540/UC560? They are best for this and gives you an extra port on the switch this way. Use straight thru ethernet cables.
