AP-grouping and SIte-Specific Vlan's question

Hi Friends,
I was wondering if Site-specific Vlan's can be implemented on Guest-vlans where SSId's are anchored to Anchor-controllers from main controllers.
I will appreciate any inputs.

Unfortunately I don't believe this can be done. I've run in to this question before at least one other time.
Basically, AP Groups (inteface assignment) only work for the clients local to that controller. Once you hit an "anchored wlan" you are not using the interface assigned by the AP group.
As an anchored client, you are not seen as connected from a particular AP, but instead are see as a client from the foreign controller.
Your only option would be to create multiple SSIDs and map each SSID on the anchor controller to the required vlan. You could use AP groups (wlan override) to specify which guest ssid you want on a particular AP, but I think thats your only option
Perhaps if you were anchoring a client doing 802.1x, you could pass interface/vlan parameters that way, but it wouldn't work for a typical "webauth guest user"

Group and country specific acc in operating coa

hi,
the same chart of account is shared among countries in the same region. there are 3 kind of gl account, example for sales account : 50000000-51999999, I50000000-I51999999 and L50000000-L51999999. they in the same coa but different acc group.
also no assignment done in ob13 and ob62.
i will assume I for group and L for local but both of them not in group coa and country specific coa but in the operating coa.
1) may i know what is the difference for this as compared to account sitting in individual coa (group and country specific)
2) what benefit of this kind of coa design as compared to different coa ( group and country specific)
3) as all are sitting in operating coa, if i want to post to, say, L50001000, if different coa, then i will post to 50001000 then in the assignment will have the corresponding L50001000 account. this L50001000 will be posted automatically.
but now all are sitting in the same coa, does it mean we need to define in the transaction explicitly when doing the posting?

Article Grouping in its broader sense means grouping of Articles for ease of maintenance and business functions, either on the basis of Hierarchy or on the basis of Merchandise Category.Article Grouping is also primarily useful in promotions,wherein you can define a set of articles(which may not necessary fall under the same MC or Hierarchy) and club them together and assign them in a promotion.Txn codes used are : VBG1/2/3 - Create/Change/Display Article Group

Site Grouping is used for ease of maintenance by grouping the sites.It is also used to maintain the characteristics as well.This can also be used in Allocation Tables,promotion and Listing etc

Site Specific VLANs

I have a scenrio where I will have two SSIDs per APs throughout the campus (81 APs in all) and would like the clients when associate to an AP in building 1 be assign a Vlan different than a client that is associated to a AP in building 2. The clients will use the same SSID, but another SSID will be on the APs for other clients to use (different security policy).
Does the site specifc vlan (AP group) feature allow for multiple SSIDs on an AP or does this feature work only with a single SSID throughout the wireless network? If not, are their ways to accomplish this feature (ie Radius assigned Vlans)?

So I can have two (2) buildings with two (2) APs each with two (2) SSIDS on each AP.

SSID-NotSecure
I would configure two (2) AP groups, APG1 and APG2 with the SSIDs mentioned above mapped to the correct VLAN for each SSID in each AP Group. So I would have to configure four (4) Vlans prior to configuring the AP Groups.
Am I thinking this correctly?

Dreamweaver CS6 Site setup and Site specific Code hints

I have just started using Dreamweaver CS6 and when I navigate to the server page in the site setup only the intro text is shown.... clicking my mouse around the window reveals the server table and buttons and I can proceed to set up a server.
I have several sites in there now but when I try to set up site specific code hints it shows and error saying that I need to add at least one site before I can continue.

Easiest way to solve this is to have you post a screenshot of your site definition where you define the testing/remote server. Please be sure to blur or remove any sensitive information from your screenshot before posting (ie: username, password, etc). We will assume you are able to connect to the remote and/or testing server. If not you should talk with your host about the remote server or you would need to post more information about your testing environment.

Ok, I'm getting ready to setup Wanos for a test run at one of our remote locations. I'm seeing packet loss on the circuit to this specific site and I want to test the packet loss recovery capability of Wanos. Our network topology is point to multipoint with MPLS connections between our main location and each of our 7 remote offices. So at our main location if I read correctly I would have to add a bypass rule for all the other offices that do not have a Wan optimization device.I have to preface my question with this... we have VLAN tagging going on at the remote locations for data and voice. Hi All,
Can anyone explain me the place where to create and assignment of country specific and group chart of accounts.
And also explain the place where to assign the respective chart of account's GL account numbers.

1. Country Specific and Group chart of accounts should be created in T Code OB13
Path: IMG/FA/GLA/GL Accounts/Master Data/Preparations/Edit COA List
2. Country Specific chart of Account should be assigned in T Code OB62
Path: IMG/FA/GLA/GL Accounts/Master Data/Preparations/Edit COA List
3. Group chart of accounts should be assigned in T Code OB13 (Separate field is available in OB13)
GL Account Number:
1. Group Chart of Account's GL Account Number should be given in the respective GL Accounts Master Data (Type/Description tab)
2. Country Specific Chart of Account's GL Account number should be given in the respective GL Account's Master data (Control Data tab. Field name: Alternative account no.)

Update showing up in "Compliance 5 - Specific Computer" Report even after removing the update from the Software Update before creating Group and Package

So I've created a Software Update Group and I did NOT want anything in there dealing with Internet Explorer 11 since the organization is currently stuck at using 10 as the highest. So I made sure that Internet Explorer was NOT in the list and then I deployed
the package.
After running my Overall Compliance report it shows that the systems are compliant, but when I view the "Compliance 5 - Specific Computer" I see that "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems" is listed in the report.
This is just a testing phase right now and I have not created a WSUS like Domain level GPO. I understand that the SCCM client creates a local policy on the clients for the location of the Software Update Point (Specify
Intranet Microsoft update service location), but the "Configure Automatic Updates" policy is set to Not Configured, which it looks like when this
is set, the "Install updates automatically (recommended)" at 3AM is the default.
Is the reason why the "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems" update is showing up in the list due to the fact that the "Configure
Automatic Updates" policy is set to Not Configured
and therefore it is still reaching out to check Windows Update online?
So, if I do create a Domain level GPO to Disable the "Configure
Automatic Updates" policy, then the "Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems" update would not show up in the "Compliance 5 - Specific Computer" report?
By the way, I have a Software Update Maintenance Window configured for the hours of 1AM-4AM so the 3AM default time falls within this time frame, therefore, I am assuming the SCCM 2012 client will not allow the Windows Update Agent to install the "Internet
Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems" update, even though it has detected it is "Required".

But, don't you need a Deployment Package in order to deploy the Software Update Group? The Software Update Group uses the downloaded updates contained in the Deployment Package located in, wherever the Package Source is, right?
One more quick question that you will know right off hand, because, well, you just will I'm sure.
No. The software update group really has nothing to do with any update packages. The update group assigns updates to clients and in turn clients use update packages to download assign and applicable updates from. There is no connection between the two though
as the client can download an update from any available update package. Thus, it's more than possible to updates in an update package that are not in any update groups and it is also possible for an update to be in an update group without being in any update
package.
If the "Configure Automatic Updates" policy is set to "Not Configured" and since this keeps the 3AM Automatic Updates default, if I was to remove the Software Update Maintenance Window from being between 1AM-4AM, will the WUA agent install updates
at 3AM, or no because the SCCM 2012 client still manages and oversees it and basically blocks that from occurring?
No, ConfigMgr does not in any way block the WUA; however, the WUA can only autonomously install updates it downloads directly from WSUS. Thus, since there are no updates approved or downloaded in your WSUS instance, there's nothing for it to download and
install. If you happen to actually be going into WSUS and approving updates (which you should not be doing as its unsupported), then yes, it actually would install updates -- this is outside of ConfigMgr's control though. Generally, disabling the WUA via a
GPO is the recommended to prevent any accidental installations or reboots (as the WUA wil also check for initiate pending reboots outside of ConfigMgr).

Problem switching from AP-specific to Group-specific VLAN mapping

Hello.
Some days ago, I updated our 5508 WLC to software version 7.5.102.0.
With that version, it should be possible to have a VLAN mapping specific for a Flexconnect group that is set within Flexconnect Group settings.
I did that for all my Flexconnect groups and it works fine with new access point.
For existing access point, which already have an AP-specific VLAN mapping, it is not possible to switch to Group-specific.
When I mark the WLAN in Flexconnect setting of the AP and select "Remove AP specific", I get the error message "Request failed: Vlan is not enabled on this flexconnect".
I wonder what the problem could be, because for newly installed access points, it works fine. Did I miss some settings?

Difference between bridge-group and VLAN

bridge-group is used on a router to enable bridging on an interface. In terms of functionality a bridge-group is very similar to a VLAN. For example if you create bridge-group 1 and assign it to interfaces FastEthernet 1/0 and 2/0 and you create bridge-group 2 and assign it to interfaces FastEthernt 1/1 and 2/1 it is like creating 2 VLANs. Devices in bridge-group 1 (interfaces 1/0 and 2/0) can communicate with each other but not with devices in bridge-group 2 (intefaces 1/1 and 2/1).

Pharma specific fields (group and subgroup)

I have problems with specific Pharma fields (group and subgroup) in CRM Mobile 2007 SP02.
Some business partners have group and subgroup in pharmaceuticals bookmark in transaction BP. But in mobile solution I have these business partners without group and subgroup. The combobox for group and subgroup is empty too.
In table SMOKNA1 (in CRM server and in CRM mobile are columns KVCGROUP and KVCSGROUP empty). I tried make initial load for object CRM_DNL_BPGROUP, but all is the same.
Have anyone suggestion what I made wrong? Which subscription I need for these attributes.

the issue with the customizing data is solved as Jiri already mentioned above.
Btw: After synchronizing an adapter object you don't need to run an extract as this is done automatically by the system - and only for the changes (delta sync), not for the complete subscription...
Concerning the missing data in smokna1: For my understanding this is a standard error. You should create an OSS message for that.
If you prefer to solve it at your own you would have to do some coding in the Mobile bridge. Using the EEWB dosn't help as the fields are already there in the tables and BDocs.
Of course you also can chose a "quick & dirty" solution: Create a new CDB table, containing only the sfakna1 and the both BP group fields, define an adapter object which synchronizes the both fields from BUT000 to this table and calculates the sfakna1 field by keygen. Run this adapter object by using a batch job at least once a day. Create a new sBDoc and qBDoc based on this table. Do some small coding in BOL to retrieve the both properties from the new CDB table into the both BOCAPGEN properties.

Use the function module "CLAF_OBJECTS_OF_CLASS". Pass following paramters
CLASS : <Site Group>
CLASSTEXT : 'X'
CLASSTYPE : 030
Output internal table structure T_OBJECTS will have the list of Sites assigned to this site group.

Matching Route Patterns with standard Local Route group and Specific Route Group

I have a customer with CUCM 8.6 with few branches
couple of branches in UK and few in Europe and middle east.
I configured route patterns with Standard local route group, but using their own Voice gateway, everything was working fine until adding the recent branch with matching pattern
UK has a mobile pattern with 9.07XXXXXXXXX (11 digits)
One Branch has a mobile with 9.07XXXXXXXX (10 digits)
When branch call 907X..(10digit) number there was a delay and I ticked the Urgent priority to process it quicker, but later realized the UK branch cannot dial 907x.. (11Digit) mobile.
I created Route List for branch and added the 10 digit pattern to that but still the UK cannot call 11 digit. so i believe when you call out it will check the pattern first and the Route-List and Route-Group and gateway play a part.
Is there a way to get 07 -10digit call out quickly also allowing the 07 -11digit pattern as well ( without changing the T302 timer)

Yes, they key to managing overlapping centralized dial plans is to be really good with patterns, partitions, and CSSs. You can have 3 different 9.0[2-9]XX-[2-9]XX-XXXX patterns and assign them a different partition, and then assign that to the branch CSS. This will only work if each Branch has a different CSS.
For example:
9.0[2-9]XX-[2-9]XX-XXXX @ Egypt-PT ->Routes to Local route group of Egypt.
9.0[2-9]XX-[2-9]XX-XXX @ UK-PT -> Routes to Local route group of UK
9.0[2-9]XX-[2-9]XX-XXX @ Germany-PT -> Routes to Local Route group of Germany.
//PT = partition//
Then have Egypt-CSS that contains 9.0[2-9]XX-[2-9]XX-XXXX @ Egypt-PT.
UK-CSS contains 9.0[2-9]XX-[2-9]XX-XXX @ UK-PT
Germany- CSS contains 9.0[2-9]XX-[2-9]XX-XXX @ UK-PT
The other patterns will be invisible to your sites because they are in a different partition that is not in their CSS. 2 overlapping patterns in the same PT will cause you to wait for the inter-digit timeout unless you press #.

Can I associate a ip dns view and/or ip dns view-group to a specific int ?

is there a way to bind/associate a ip dns view and/or ip dns view-group to a specific interface so I can end with something like:

So after a couple of hours of playing around and testing I've finally found the correct settings to achieve this, I wasn't able to find the configuration options through the Windows Airport Utility client but borrow a MacBook Air from a family member and was able to find it:
1. Open the AirPort Utility on a Mac computer.
2. Click on your AirPort Device, then click "Edit".
3. Select the "Internet" tab.
4. Now in the "Domain Name" section type "yourhostname.ddns.net" or it could be "yourhostname.no-ip.com" or whatever other hostname No-IP.com may have assigned you.
5. Now click the "Internet Options" button.
6. At the bottom of the windows that opened tick the check box "Use dynamic global hostname"
7. In the "Hostname" section fill it with "no-ip.ddns"
8. In the "User" & "Password" sections fill it with the username and password that you chose when creating your "No-IP.com" account.
9. Now click "Save" which will save the settings and click "Update" to update the Airport device which will also restart it.
And you're done!
Please note that it does sometimes take up to 5 to 10 minutes to update the DNS settings to No-IP.com, which caused me to think it wasn't working initially.
