AP Tax Calculation issue with SINGLE TAX vs TAX GROUP

Hi Gurus,
i need your help on below, please advise!!
i have to calculate ap VAT tax on AP invoice,
(Rounding = nearest, precession=2, tax calcualtion= Include tax)
if i calculate 5% is the tax rate, then the tax amount is 0.47cents,this is in case of single tax calculation.
here my requirement was i need calculate 2 Taxes(TAX A AND TAX B (Rates are 5 AND 5%)
EG:
Invoce Base amount = 10 dollars
in case of single tax = 5/105 * 10 = 0.4761 cents(this is 48cents in apps with rouning nearest and precession 2)
tax mode = Include tax
In case of tax group = Tax A and Tax B = 5 + 5 = 10%, when i calculate this in apps its showing 45cents and 45 cents as tax A and B
why this tax caluclation is different with single tax and tax group.
tax code actual amount tax amount remaining amount
single tax 10 0.4761 10 - 0.48cents = 9.52 cents
tax group 10 45+45=90 cents 9.10 cents
Please Help !!!
Thanks,
Satish

  • New Tax Code Creation with CST and Service Tax

    Hi
    I want to know the complete procedure of new tax code creation with CST and Service Tax. I want to know the steps for calculation of % of that Tax Code.
    Kindly help me out.
    Thanks
    Kshipra G

    Hi Expert,
    Before creating a Tax Code, Create two Condition Types(T-Code: OBYZ) for CST and Service Tax, which need to Select the below Items
    Cond. class -  D - Taxes
    Calculat.type -  A - Percentage
    Cond.category - D - Tax
    and while creating a Tax Procedure just select the Condition Type of CST and Service Tax and provide the Account Key for both Condition Types.
    Assign the GL Accounts to the Account Keys in T-Code: OB40.
    Create a Tax Code in T-Code: FTXP, which is to be assigned in T-Code: FV11.
    Maintain the percentage in T-Code: FV11, with your Key Combination and
    Try this procedure, which will help you...

  • Income Tax Calculations - Issue

    Client is saying that as per their existing SAP system, the Income tax calculation is made on Gross salary. And they are saying that if any additional taxable payout is made in a month to an employee, then the total tax on this additional payout should be paid by the employee in the same month. So basically his total tax would be the (general regular monthly tax + total tax on the additional payment), which as per them the system is not calculating correctly since October 2010.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply Jurgen & Remi.  I am pretty new to Payroll & this is India Payroll.
    Now, the issue is how should I proceed ahead.
    1. The client says that the wage types are already configured in the system in such way that on certain wage types, the tax which is calculated is paid in the same month. Can u pls inform that which processing class & cumulation class do I need to check in Table 512w_d for this wage type.
    2. As I need to see this whole functioning in Schema, pls guide as to where I should check this whole tax calculation in Schema.
    3. The function I have heard which is used is India for Income tax is INTAX.
    Looking forward to your reply.
    Thanks a lot!!!

  • What are the network issues with single user versus mulit-user version?

    I am having trouble attempting to share Pages documents over a network. My documents are created and saved in Pages on Mac 1. The same documents are opened, edited and re-saved on Mac 2.
    Upon re-saving any document on Mac 2, (originally created on Mac 1), two error messages will appear. The first message says: "You do not have permissions to save changes in this document".
    Once I have fixed the permissions problem, another message appears. The second message is: "Type: Couldn't save image. Description: thumbs/pagethumb1.tiff".
    The only way to solve this second problem is to save the document with a different name on the station you are currently working on. It looks like the page previews may not be readable from station to station. Not to mention the network permissions not being transferrable from station to station.
    I am wondering if both these problems are related to the fact that I am using a single user version of Pages when I should be using a multi-user version because of the network.
    The Mac OS I am using is a Family version for up to 5 users. The Pages (iWork) version is strictly single user.
    I am currently using Pages version 2.02.
    Mac G4 Dual Mirror and Mac G4 AGP Graphics   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   both systems have lots of RAM; the G4 AGP has a smaller drive

    Forgive my ignorance of UNIX, but will what you are
    suggesting create multiple copies of the same file,
    leading to confusion?
    The way I have set up my system there are copies of all my important files on the other machine, but not multiple copies of each file. Rsync backs-up the changes to existing files or copies new files to the other computer. It can be set to mirror one machine on the other, copy only certain files, not copy certain files, etc.
    Currently I am opening the file over the network,
    making changes and saving them back to the original
    file. When I open up the same file on the sharing
    Mac and attempt to do the same, permissions and save
    problems occur. If I start out on the sharing Mac,
    then open the original file on the networked unit,
    the same permissions and save problems occur. No
    UNIX commands are used.
    I don't know what is causing the problem you are experiencing, but there is way to do what you want. Rsync is one way, there are several other ways to synchronise machines that do not involve you typing out unix commands. Do a search here for synching folders
    But at least I am only working with one file. And I
    have my wife and oldest daughter using the Macs.
    They are even less technically proficient than me.
    How can I use the method you suggest without having
    multiple copies everywhere? And how will I do this
    without scaring my Luddite family?
    the system I use (rsync, .sh file, cron) is automatic. The files are backed up automatically every hour from 8 am until 10 pm. If there are no changes, nothing is backed up.
    my macbook backs up specified files/folders from folder andrew and folder bev to the identical folders on my wife's mac mini.
    the mac mini backs up the same folders to the macbook.
    I use the mackbook 99% of the time, my wife uses the mini 99% of the time. this way all her files are availalble on the macbook and mine are available on the mini.
    Once setup to your liking this is a transparent and unobtrusive system, but there are alternatives.

  • Issues with Single Frequency Analysis

    Hi all,
    I recently installed multisim 13 on a new computer. I went to do a simple single frequency analysis of an RC circuit and got some funny results. The magnitude of the voltages measured by the probes seem to be off, and I have never experienced this on any other computer I have used. I have tested it in multiple circuits and always get the same problem. I was wondering if there is some setting I am missing that will change this, but I have searched forums for two days now and haven't come across this particular issue. I have attached some images to show what I'm describing.
    Thank you

    It looks to me like it's working properly for the default source "AC analysis magnitude" (1Vp).  How did you get the source to say "VRMS"?  What version of Multisim are you using?

  • Issue with single table hash cluster

    I'm still learning lots about html db so please do bear with me...
    I have a table that is part of a single table hash cluster. The cluster and table are created like so:
    create cluster webmon.owm_system
      db_id number(3),
      env_id number(3)
    size 171
    hashkeys 1009
    single table
    pctfree 2
    pctused 96;
    create table webmon.owm_system
      tier_id number(3) not null,
      host_id number(3) not null,
      port number(4) not null,
      sid varchar2(8) not null,
      admin_user varchar2(32) not null,
      admin_auth varchar2(48) not null,
      primary_dba_id number(3) not null,
      secondary_dba_id number(3) not null,
      primary_bac_id number(3) not null,
      secondary_bac_id number(3) not null,
      version_id number(3) not null,
      log_mode_id number(3) not null,
      db_id number(3) not null,
      env_id number(3) not null,
      admin_conn varchar2(32) null,
      constraint owm_system_pk primary key (db_id, env_id)
    cluster webmon.owm_system
      db_id,
      env_id
    );I have created a form (and report) to view and edit the data in the table. When I click the "Apply Changes" button on the form after editing data, I get an error. The SQL that is sent to the database is incorrect.
    Here is the (reformatted) incorrect SQL that is sent (captured in a database trace file):
    update
      "WEBMON"."OWM_SYSTEM"
    set
      "SECONDARY_DBA_ID" = :DML_BV0001,
      "DB_ID" = :DML_BV0002,
      "DB_ID" = :DML_BV0003,  /* This should not be here */
      "ENV_ID" = :DML_BV0004,
      "ENV_ID" = :DML_BV0005,  /* This should not be here */
      "HOST_ID" = :DML_BV0006,
      "PORT" = :DML_BV0007,
      "SID" = replace(:DML_BV0008,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_USER" = replace(:DML_BV0009,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_AUTH" = replace(:DML_BV0010,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_CONN" = replace(:DML_BV0011,'%null%',null),
      "VERSION_ID" = :DML_BV0012,
      "LOG_MODE_ID" = :DML_BV0013,
      "TIER_ID" = :DML_BV0014,
      "PRIMARY_DBA_ID" = :DML_BV0015,
      "PRIMARY_BAC_ID" = :DML_BV0016,
      "SECONDARY_BAC_ID" = :DML_BV0017
    where
      "DB_ID" = :p_rowid
    and
      "ENV_ID" = :p_rowid2Why are the DB_ID and ENV_ID columns in the statement twice? That is the error.
    Now, if I create the table as just a basic, non-clustered table like this:
    create table webmon.owm_system
      tier_id number(3) not null,
      host_id number(3) not null,
      port number(4) not null,
      sid varchar2(8) not null,
      admin_user varchar2(32) not null,
      admin_auth varchar2(48) not null,
      primary_dba_id number(3) not null,
      secondary_dba_id number(3) not null,
      primary_bac_id number(3) not null,
      secondary_bac_id number(3) not null,
      version_id number(3) not null,
      log_mode_id number(3) not null,
      db_id number(3) not null,
      env_id number(3) not null,
      admin_conn varchar2(32) null,
      constraint owm_system_pk primary key (db_id, env_id)
    );Everything works as expected. The (correct) SQL sent in this case is:
    update
      "WEBMON"."OWM_SYSTEM"
    set
      "SECONDARY_DBA_ID" = :DML_BV0001,
      "DB_ID" = :DML_BV0002,
      "ENV_ID" = :DML_BV0003,
      "HOST_ID" = :DML_BV0004,
      "PORT" = :DML_BV0005,
      "SID" = replace(:DML_BV0006,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_USER" = replace(:DML_BV0007,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_AUTH" = replace(:DML_BV0008,'%null%',null),
      "ADMIN_CONN" = replace(:DML_BV0009,'%null%',null),
      "VERSION_ID" = :DML_BV0010,
      "LOG_MODE_ID" = :DML_BV0011,
      "TIER_ID" = :DML_BV0012,
      "PRIMARY_DBA_ID" = :DML_BV0013,
      "PRIMARY_BAC_ID" = :DML_BV0014,
      "SECONDARY_BAC_ID" = :DML_BV0015
    where
      "DB_ID" = :p_rowid
    and
      "ENV_ID" = :p_rowid2The "real" system in question has a fairly large number of single table hash clusters. I'm leary of continuing my explorations if there is a problem with using single table hash clusters. On the other hand, I'm quite open to the idea that I've done something wrong!
    Any pointers? Is there anyway to change the SQL that is being generated when using the single table hash cluster? More information needed?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mark,
    Can't help with the hash table problem but as a method of dealing with it you could just make a procedure to manage the table.
    Pass the value of :REQUEST (matches value of button) in and you'll be able to modify the tables.
    procedure manage_owm_system (p_request varchar2,db_id number ...)is
    begin
    case p_request
    when 'CREATE' then
    insert
    into ....
    when 'SAVE' then
    update .....
    else
    raise_application_error(-20001,'Unkown request');
    end case;
    end;
    put that in a plsql reqion after submit
    begin
    manage_owm_system(p_request=>:REQUEST,p_dbid=>:P1_DBID .......);
    end;
    You need to create something similar , with out parameters, to populate the items when the pags loads.

  • Issue with LVM and 2 volume groups.

    I have 2 physical disks with one volume group on each of them. First contains root and /home. Second one contains /var and swap. After update I got "Timeout error" for /var and swap. I can boot in emergency systemd mode and can clearly see /var and swap partitions. I have lvm2 hook after udev and before fiesystems. I done latest changes to LVM long before and everything worked fine.
    Any advice? Thank you.

    Yep, I can see them and mount them (logical volumes). I booted with debug log level for systemd and log target to kmsg. But I can't find anything interesting in logs.

  • Tax calculation in SRM and passing onto R/3 PO

    Hi,
    We are on SRM_SERVER 550, SP07 and R/3 4.7 backend.
    1. We have a requirement wherein we want the tax determination to happen in SRM. Basically there is no logic for determining the tax codes, but the user himself selects it per line item when creating the cart.
    2. We want this to be transferred to the backend PO line item. The tax codes in SRM and R/3 are identical.
    Can this be achieved by standard configuration?
    I checked that there are 4 choices for tax calculation in SRM
    No tax calculation
    Tax calculation occurs in backend
    Customer specific implementation'
    Tax calc occurs via external system
    tax calc occurs via TTE
    I am not sure which one we should be selecting (currently its no tax calc). I am also not sure if the tax code which is selected in SRM will be passed onto R/3 Or should this be mapped in the BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW Badi?
    The option thro development is to provide a custom field where users can enter the tax code/choose from a list and then map it to the tax code(TAX_CODE - MWSKZ) field in badi BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW. But we would prefer to stick to the standard options if they are feasible.
    Any pointers to this would be very helpful.
    Regards,
    Srivatsan

    Hi,
    If you have a classic scenario where the PO is created in the backend only the standard configurations will work for this.
    1) Determine System for Tax Calculation--- R/3 Tax calculation occurs in backend.
    Tax calculation occurs in the Backend System
    Tax calculation occurs via RFC in the backend system in Financial Accounting. If an external system is connected to the backend system (Vertex or Taxware, for example), this is automatically called from the backend system.
    2) Enter tax code :
    As you mentioned use the same key and also the description here. Make the zero tax as No tax and make it as default also ( which is safer for all users).
    With these two config steps you will get an F4 help in the for all the tax codes defined whereas the system will suggest the zero tax as the default.
    The other config steps are optional where you can have tax codes for you product category. Please do configurations in these steps only if required.
    This SC tax code will be there in the PO created from SRM provided if you have entry for this in FTXP in the R3 system.
    As far as we have configured you dont need BADI for this standard Tax calculations.
    If the invoice is made in R3 with reference to this PO then this tax code can be changed.
    Best regards,
    Sridhar.

  • Tax Calculation in SAP Purchase Order

    Hi Experts,
    My Requirment is so get the US and Canadian tax automatically from external tax system ( other than Vertax Sabrix and taxware) while creating Purchase Order. We are using SAP XI to get the TAX AMOUNT from external system.
    The probelm is , the external system provides me directly tax amount rather than tax code. As per my knowledge , the tax calculation in Sap is done through tax code only.
    Please help me on this. Do I need to do something like , create a new condition type and put the tax amount there ?

    Check Financial A/C Global Settings>Tax on sale and purchase>Basic Settings>Check calculation Procedure>define procedure
    Which are the Tax conditions available ,In next step check assignment of country to tax procedure check for US TAXUSX is assigned
    Create TAX CODE in FTXP , now for the tax code maintain the condition value( you can use standard conditions based on your tax
    type or create Z Condition type)  in FV11 with tax code amount and validity
    Now when yoo use this tax code your condition value will be defaulted , probabaly you need to create program to use FV11 and update
    New condition value fetched by external system to update the tax code and amount everytime or create Z table to store and update
    condition values fetched by external system ..please explore further
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply. Now I am getting issue in the Migo.
    a) Excise tab is activated in the header and line item.
    b) Automatic tax is not comming in the MIGO, which is maintained in the FV11 with Tax code V0, j1id settings also done.
    c) While giving the ED Amount Manually in the Line item excise tab, and saving the MIGO, the message comes Tax code V8 is not defined for Tax procedure TAXINN , Where as so far we have not created tax code V8, and it is not there in the drop down list in FTXP & in PO Invoice tab tax code.
    Message is coming with the dump and document is not saved.
    Awaiting reply , how to pick the Excise details in the MIGO and how can we avoide dump coming for tax code V8, which is not at all created in the system so far.

  • Tax calculation in FBS1

    I posted a Document type ZY with tax code say U1 using FBS1 transaction. When i simulate it, i am able to see 2 or 3 line items for use tax.As per the requirement ZY doxument should not accrue tax when posted through FBS1.
    I am an ABAPer. I would like to know if there is any configuration changes to be done for this. I checked FTXP transaction and changed the tax rate to 0 for this tax code U1.It was not at all calculating the tax wherever that tax code is used. I have to restrict the tax calculation for ZY doucment.Is there any way to acheive this?
    Thanks,
    Aparna.

    Hi,
    In mm we use Pricing Procedure and Tax procedure both.
    2- So in MM can we use tax conditions ( Custom tax conditions) in MM calculation schema and determine the taxes ?
    Normally you use MM Pricing Procedure for Base price, discount, freight, packaging etc.  However for import scenario custom tax conditions like Basic Custom Duty, CVD, Cess, Sec cess is added in MM pricing procedure.
    The Tax procedure could be used for excise duties , CST, VAT, service tax.
    3- In MM if we use calculation scheme and tax procedure , then how tax base is determined for tax calculation ?
    If you check your tax procedure say taxinn you have condition type BASB and  routine for base value as 362 through which it calculates base value
    Where as in Sd you could use it in one.
    Thanks and regards

  • Tax Calculation in MM and SD

    HI
    I am little bit confused in Tax Calculation in MM and SD . Please see the scenario below
    In my current project in MM side we maintain Base price , discounts and other MM related conditions using MEK1 and for Tax related conditions we use FV11
    So we use Pricing Procedure and Tax Procedure
    But in SD side , Pricing ,discounts and also taxes related conditions are maintained in VK11 , SD uses all custom conditions for Tax
    So my questions are as follows
    1- In standard  SD - do SAP have Pricing Procedure and Tax Procedure or both can be used within one procedure ?
    2- So in MM can we use tax conditions ( Custom tax conditions) in MM calculation schema and determine the taxes ?
    3- In MM if we use calculation scheme and tax procedure , then how tax base is determined for tax calculation ?
    Thanks and regards

  • Essbase Calculation issues from version 6 to 7

    Hi does any one know are there any calculation issue with essbase BSO cacl engine from version 6 to 7. Cube which calculates fine on 6 verison never ends to finish on version 7, does any one have ideas about number of max generations and levels possible under dense dimension in verison 7

    Not sure if it was a 6.5.1 to 7.1.5 issue, or if it was that 6.5.1 was on Win2K and 7.1.5 is on Solaris 5.9. But, I had one calc script that for total company on Windows and 6.5.1 ran in about 2 1/2 minutes, but same calc on same outline on Solaris and 7.1.5 ran in over 2 hours.
    Hyp support was able to offer some suggestions on Unix settings, and some undocumented script features that got the runtime down to around 10 minutes, but didn't get any farther than that.
    Luckily for me there also was some functions that were not resolving correctly in the script so I had to take the functions out (turned a 100 line script into an 800 line script), and wouldn't you know it that fixed the slow run time as well.

  • Issue with down payment tax cal and clearing it aganest vendor inv

    HI,
    I have an issue with down payment tax cal.
    1.     I had configured withholding tax and raised down payment, tax has been cal
    2.     In the next step I had raised inv, at this time also tax had been cal
    3.     When I am doing down payment clearing the tax collected at the time of down payment had to be reversed but itu2019s not.
    Can any one give me solution for clearing the tax that cal on down payment.
    Thanking you.

    Dear
    Vendor master has got tax codes both at the time of payment and at the time of invoice.  Hence system is calculating tds on both occassions.
    Since you pay advance first tds calculated is right.  Now while doing miro remove the tax codes manually and do miro/mir7/fb60.
    If already MIRO/MIR7/FB60 done then reverse the invoice document and clear the tax GL accounts.
