AP1232AG Link Role Flexibility

I tried to setup a 802.11a wireless backhaul using several dual radio AP1232AG with IOS 12.3.8JA and LRF feature. The backhaul consists of a root bridge followed by a daisy-chain of two non-root bridges. Usually non-root bridges only associate to root bridges. I read in a Cisco paper that a configuration is possible in which a non-root bridge can also associate to another non-root if one non-root has a wireless link to a root bridge. Is this possible and has there anything to be configured which is different from the usual non-root to root configuration? In addition I'd like to configure that a non-root only associates to one or more predefined non-roots. I tried this using the "parent 1 [MAC]" command on Dot11Radio1 interface but it didn't work.
I've attached the lab configurations of the root and the two non-root bridges.

Yes, a a non-root bridge can also associate to another non-root if one non-root has a wireless link to a root bridge

  • Linking Role as a page.

    hi all,
i have a requirement as - i need to link the role to a folder in my webpage such that when i click on the link only then my role shud get added to the portal.
can anyone please help me on this issue.

    Hi,
I am not sure of the requirement:
Do you mean that the role gets added to the user who clicked the link? Then the link can go to a component that uses the UME API to add the role to the user, or changes its invisible property to false.
Do you mean the role gets added to the portal content? The the link can go to a component that uses the PCD API to create a role and adds its content. You still need to assign it to users.
    UME API: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e8/77e04024040b06e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

  • Can Aironet 1300 Series configure as Bridges and AP in the same time?

I need to configure another Briding End point to be Access point too. Is it possible?

Yes, 1300 supports a feature called Link Role flexibility which enables each radio in this bridge to act in different role.

  • Root-Bridge and Non-Root Bridge Support

I was wondering if the ISR Routers (Cisco 1811w) support the root-bridge and non-root-bridge feature. If not is there another device apart from the 1310 and 1410 bridges that support this feature?
    Thank You,
    VT

    Hi VT,
    The ISR AP supports both of these roles;
    Access Point Link Role Flexibility
Access Point Link Role Flexibility allows access point radios to operate in a combination of radio roles,
such as access point root, bridge root (with or without clients), bridge nonroot (with or without clients).
This provides a more flexible deployment scheme to support the various applications requirement. Note
that the ISR AP does not support access point repeater and WGB.
    Wireless Non-Root Bridge
The wireless non-root bridge allows the access point radio to operate as the remote node in a point to
point or point to multi-point network.
    Wireless Root Bridge
The wireless root bridge role provides support for both point-to-point or point to multi-point bridging.

  • 2106 1131AP and mesh mode

    Hi guys,
    i have a 2106 WLC with three 1131AP LWAPP.
I should cover a zone where there is no network cabling and i was thinking about another 1131 in mesh mode.
Do I need particular software release?
Can anyone provide documentation from which i can start to configure the system(WLC)?
    thx....

Unfortunately, the only access point that can handle Mesh is the 1500-series. Mesh isn't meant for indoor applications like the 1131AG is meant for. Mesh is meant for city-wide deployments and wireless coverage.
Your only option using 1131AGs is to get a cable out there somewhere. If you purchase a couple of 1242AGs in autonomous mode, you can set up a mesh-like link using link-role flexibility. You can configure your A-radio to be a bridge link, and configure the G-radio to service clients. This can only be done 1-to-1, though, so you'll need two APs for every one you need in an area without cabling. Hopefully that makes sense.

  • Linked object not avilable

    Hi,
I am facing strange issue. we have one iview and it assigned to one. this link(role-->i view) is working fine  from longtime.
but last week onwards  for some users(they have access) this iview  disappearing some time and appearing some time.
when i  verify in the content admin i was able to see the  link ,(in the role  also). then i cleared  cache ,and then when i verify in the content admin  i was not able to see  the link . and in the role i am seeing as ' linked object not available" .
please let me  know why this happend is there any note available  to resolve this.
    Thanks
    Surya

    Hi,
I assume you have enabled the Connector for Caching Roles.
Please Check the Property of the iView under the Property Category : Navigation >> "Metadata for the Navigation Hierarchy".
Ensure that the Property is set to "Cacheable".
Also Synchronize Cache for the Connector under System Administration >> Navigation >> Navigation Cache.
    Kind Regards,

  • Problem after role upload?

    Hi All,
I used role upload tool and uploaded them to my portal. I uploaded only role to user assignements (I dont want to upload transactions etc..). I just wanted to get role to user assignments from ABAP system.
I got them under Migrated Content -> SAP Component systems. I checked if the users and roles are assigned properly. IT was correct.
Now, I wanted to add few iviews for my role that is uploaded. so i created a delta link into my working folder and added few iviews, worksets and set the entry points.  and when i logged in as user, I cant see my workset in TLN.
I just wanted to know, doesnt the delta link of roles copies the user assignments of source role to the target role. should i do it manually again to assign the user to that delta link role.
Please help me in this regard.
    Thank you

    any help is appreciated ??

  • RBAC Role Group rights across a Forest Trust

Just looking for confirmation here, really.
I am trying to give user "Jason Argonaut" in ForestA access to ForestB, as an Org Man & Recipt Man member, through a linked mailbox.
It appears that some access is given once the ForestB mailbox is Linked to ForestA (but I can't tell what -- seems like some access is inherited through AD or something).
I've then directly added Jason Argonaut's Linked account in ForestB to Org Man & Recipt Man (in ForestB). As I understood it (which isn't that well), that should allow Jason in ForestA to inherit those rights via the Exchange Linked mailbox.
It appears the Org Man rights aren't really working correctly.
Does anyone have any kind of explanation regarding what RBAC roles are available to the MsExchMasterAccountSid account? Or limitations?
I know that alternately, instead of trying to push rights through a Linked Mailbox, I could create a Linked Role Group in ForestB, and a USG in ForestA and drop Jason into the USG, then link them up. That would accomplish the same thing, right?

    Hello,

  • Delta Linked object: reset attribute to inherit from parent

    Hi all,
I inherited an ESS system where the SAP content had changes made to it.  The SAP supplied Employee Self-Service Role had some of the worksets set to Invisible in Navigation Areas.  I would like to clear the indicator that says that attribute is defined locally and have it back to inherit from parent.  Then I can make the Invisible change in the delta linked role in our custom content folder.
Is this possible without a program?
    Thanks
    --Amy Smith
    --Haworth

    Hi Gopal,
That would seem to make sense to me too.  I have one question about that that you may be able to help with.
The role I am working with is a delta linked role that points back to the ESS role.  I can remove a workset from my delta linked role.  Later we will want to put that workset back in the role.
I can link it in pointing to the ESS workset, but the delta link trace will look different and anything done in the ESS role to that workset will not be reflected in my custom role.  So is there a way to tell my delta linked role to undelete the workset so it is still linked back to the ESS role.
    Does this make any sense?

Seems that Oracle JDeveloper WSDL designer has contribution to this issue since when trying to add a partner link from

it creates the wsdl with the following configuration.
    http://www.4shared.com/photo/zb907pXN/wsdl_designer_2.html?
Maybe will be fixed in next versions of JDeveloper. Until then, use this work suggested around.

  • Personalize link in Mast head

    Hi ,
Can anyone guide me how to hide the User mapping tab from the user profile page of personalize link available in the mast head.
When the user cliscks on the link personalize in the mast head , he can see the user profile page . I want to hide the user mapping tab from this page .
    Best Regards
    Sid

    Hi Siddhart,
The Personalize option is a workset and linked to the Standard User Role.
So just open the standard user role and select the User Profile page which is linked to the Personalize workset.
The "User Profile" object is a Web Dynpro Application. So to customize it you can just press the preview button and in the preview page hold the "Control" key and right click on top of the "User Mapping" tab. You will find the option to hide the tab.
To do this you need to have administrative access.
Since you are changing SAP delivered role, I would recommend copying the role and making the changes to the copied (as delta link) role. You can then assign this role to the end users.
This method is applicable to EP 7.0 and NW 2004s.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

  • Unable to find a WSDL that has a definition for service

    Dear all
I have a very simple composite applicationexposing a web service. When I deploy the application I get:

Expose the WSDL from Sender Agreement or Inbound Processing in the ICO and test accordingly with SOAPUI.
In case still you are getting the error in the sense you can prefer XMLAnonymizer bean or play with the namespaces you may have to go with the JAVA or XSLT mapping.
XI: XML node into a string with graphical mapping?
