APA Endnotes not on Last Page

Question

According to the 6th edition of the APA Style Guide, endnotes (which they call footnotes...) go after references but before figures.
In Pages, automatic endnotes must go on the last page of the document and, to my knowledge, cannot be placed on any previous pages without doing so manually.
Does anyone know of a way to fix this formatting?

Ok, maybe you have to delete some section breaks. You can definitely have your section with figures last. Here is the text that is in the Pages User Guide:
*+Adding an Endnote at the End of a Section+*
+In a word processing document, you can add special marks in a document that link to notes at the end of each section. These notes are called section endnotes.+
+To add a section endnote:+
+Click Inspector in the toolbar, click the Document button, and then click Document.+
+Choose Use Section Endnotes from the Footnotes & Endnotes pop-up menu.+
+Choose a numbering format from the Format pop-up menu.+
+From the Numbering pop-up menu, choose whether endnotes are continuous or restart on each section.+
+Place the insertion point in the main text flow (not in a text box, table, or other object) where you want the endnote mark to appear.+
+Choose Insert > Section Endnote.+
+An endnote mark appears, and the insertion point moves to the corresponding endnote field at the end of the section in which the mark appears. A line separates the endnotes from other information in the section.+
+Type the endnote information.+
+In addition to text, you can use inline shapes, graphics, and other objects; see “What Are Floating and Inline Objects?” on page 134 for instructions.+
