Apache does not find index.php if not explicitly stated in URL

I have googled for long over this (mod_dir ?) problem without success:
My Apache is configured such that it fails to open this link (without trailing slash):
http://bioinfo.tg.fh-giessen.de/cancer
However, it manages to open if the trailing slash or the full path is given:
http://bioinfo.tg.fh-giessen.de/cancer/
http://bioinfo.tg.fh-giessen.de/cancer/index.php
(But one directory above this is not a problem, both
http://bioinfo.tg.fh-giessen.de/
http://bioinfo.tg.fh-giessen.de
are resolved. ???!)
The relevant settings in httpd.conf is given below. Anybody ?
<Directory >
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
Allow from All
Order Allow,Deny
AllowOverride All Options
</Directory>
<IfModule mod_dir.c>
DirectoryIndex index.html Einfuehrung.html index.php
</IfModule>

No need to put it within the <ifmodule mod_dir>
Just slap this at the verry bottom of httpd.conf after every other part of the code!
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
DirectoryIndex index.html index.php
and bob's your uncle and maybe your farther too

    Buying a used iPhone from unofficial place.
    1.) Your iPhone maybe locked to a certain carrier.
    2.) The sim may not be compatible.
    3.) Maybe it was jailbroken.
    Find out from the seller the 3 points I've mentioned.

  • I upgraded my iphone to 5.0.1 and can not find carrier and can not make a call freezed.

    I upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 5.0.1 yesterday. Today the device can not find carrier and if finds than it freezes when I tap call. I swictched on and off but no change.

    No.  There is no legit way to go back at all.
    It seems that you had a hacked iphone that was locked back to the rightful carrier when you updated as it should.

  • Itunes 11 not "finding" internet...not connecting to gracenotes and delivering album/song info

    installed itunes 11 and now when i insert a cd to upload to itunes it doesnt find the gracenotes database and populate tracks ets.  help!

    Is the music showing up in your library but with a little , or is it not showing up in your library at all?
    If it's not showing up at all, it might be worth looking around for the iTunes Library file (think of the library file as a sort of sophisticated table of contents for iTunes so it knows what media files you want shown in iTunes, and some special attributes such as ratings, play counts, playlists, etc.) that has reference to these files. Start iTunes holding down the shift key, and you'll eventually get some message about being able choosing a library file (or create a new one). Try opening a few of the .itl files you see on your machine. Hopefully everything is ok, but just sitting in some library file. (Note, this is different from the Edit/Preferences/Advanced setting which says where your music files is, but says nothing about where the iTunes library file is located.)
    If you have to re-add the music, you generally will not lose your album and song info (unless these are WMV or other non-MP3-like format). But this meta data is generally included in the MP3/M4A/etc file. The worst you'll generally lose would be the album artwork, and often even that is buried in the music file itself (depends upon how the artwork was originally associated with the media files.)

  • IOS6 installation completes thru restoring firmware when one of two messages come up on iTunes screen:  could not find device, or could not be restored error -1.  Rep. at AT

    Down loaded iOS6 on iPhone 4S. When complete, screen showed usb cable end with arrow to iTunes logo.  Brought up iTunes on computer screen.  OS Windows XP, computer on wi-fi.  After connecting phone to computer, ITunes screen showed name: Phone, capacity: n/a, software version n/a, serial no: n/a.  Under Version, check for update: Your iPhone software is up to date.  Serial no., etc. had previously appeared on iTunes screen in the the past before I attempted the iOS6 download.  Clicked on restore.  ITunes showed extracting software.  Message came up, could not be restored, error 1656.  Took computer and phone AT&T.  Rep contacted Apple Support - as directed rep reinstalled iTunes.  Clicked on restore again, went through extracting software, then into loading software - loading bar showed on iTunes screen and phone screen.  Was almost complete when message came up on computer - device could not be found.  By then ATT store closed.  Tried to restore at home.  Got as far as as restoring firmware, phone screen was showing loading on bar.  Message came up - could not be restored, error -1.    ATT rep said several other customers contacted him with the same problem.    Nearest Apple store to me is 95 mi. away.  Any on line help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    Additional comment from Carl 37: Phone is locked up with screen showing usb cable end with arrow to iTunes logo.  What can I do to regain use of phone?

  • Apache is ignoring index.php

    I am using the distributed version of Apache in Lion and apparently have it working! However, though it serves index.html files it does not recognise index.php files. It just displays the content of the file. If I try to open a directory containing index.php it displays the contents of the directory. In httpd.conf I have the following:
    # DirectoryIndex: sets the file that Apache will serve if a directory
    # is requested.
    <IfModule dir_module>
        DirectoryIndex index.php index.htm index.html
    </IfModule>
    I thought that this should be sufficient for the server to be forced (persuaded!) to serve the index.php file.
    What am I doing wrong? I never had this trouble with SnowLeopard!

    Thanks Camelot.
    Yes, it is in httpd.conf and all the modules were being loaded!
    I've since added:
     <IfModule mod_php5.c> # If php is turned on, we respect .php and .phps files. AddType application/x-httpd-php .php AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps  </IfModule>
    because I found that it wasn't really serving normal php files - let alone index.php!
    And it's now sprung into life - thank goodness

  • Question on fragmentation and ALTER INDEX REBUILD/REORGANIZE not effecting it

    The problem I ran into was troubleshooting a sporadically slow singleton lookup on a Clustered Index in a table with about 8 million rows, which is a separate issue I may need to submit for help. That aside, during that troubleshooting I noticed fragmentation
    on the Unique Clustered Index (it's a VARCHAR(20)), and then noticed the fragmentation in other indexes on this table. See sys.dm_db_index_physical_stats and DBCC SHOWCONTIG results below.

    This fragmentation I found shocking because I reorg nightly and have a weekly rebuild task running that I set up through the Maintenance Plan wizard (which I've verified has been running). So I attempted to reorg these manually (especially index ID: 1)
    and to my shock the fragmentation % did not change at all. I then took the SQL provided by the Maintenance Plan for rebuilding the indexes and found that after running that it didn't change the fragementation % at all either (commands run shown below).
    ALTER INDEX [IDX1_CONSUMERS] ON [dbo].[CONSUMERS] REBUILD PARTITION = ALL WITH ( PAD_INDEX  = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE  = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS  = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS  = ON, ONLINE = ON, SORT_IN_TEMPDB = ON )
    GO
    ALTER INDEX [IDX2_CONSUMERS] ON [dbo].[CONSUMERS] REBUILD PARTITION = ALL WITH ( PAD_INDEX  = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE  = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS  = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS  = ON, ONLINE = ON, SORT_IN_TEMPDB = ON )
    GO
    ALTER INDEX [UNI1K_CONSUMERS] ON [dbo].[CONSUMERS] REBUILD PARTITION = ALL WITH ( PAD_INDEX  = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE  = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS  = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS  = ON, IGNORE_DUP_KEY  = OFF, ONLINE = ON, SORT_IN_TEMPDB
    = ON )
    GO
    ALTER INDEX [UNI2K_CONSUMERS] ON [dbo].[CONSUMERS] REBUILD PARTITION = ALL WITH ( PAD_INDEX  = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE  = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS  = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS  = ON, IGNORE_DUP_KEY  = OFF, ONLINE = ON, SORT_IN_TEMPDB
    = ON )
    GO
    Fragmentation did not change until I performed a "CREATE ... DROP_EXISTING = ON" on the 4 non PK indexes and a manual rebuild of Primary Key offline not specifying any other parameters, which all seemed completely overkill to ensure the defragmentation
    actually got done. Final sys.dm_db_index_physical_stats and DBCC SHOWCONTIG results below.

    In summary my question is - why didn't ALTER INDEX ... REBUILD/REORGANIZE modify the index_level 1 fragmentation as reported by sys.dm_db_index_physical_stats, nor would it correct the Extent Scan Fragmentation as reported by DBCC SHOWCONTIG?

    Hi Brian.cs ,
    SQL Server will not rebuild indexes that are not large enough. Could you please have a look a the
    fragment_count which is  one of the fields in the
    sys.dm_db_index_physical_stats view to check whether it is low or not ?
    Best Regards,

    Peja, here's the information you requested, and of course this was after I dropped/recreated because rebuild didn't seem to actually address the fragmentation - the index I was most concerned about at index_level = 0 showed a fragment_count = 8922. FYI this
    table has over 8 million rows. And apologies for the delayed response, was on vacation over the near year.

  • Find: /dev/fd/3: Not a directory and find: /dev/fd/4: Not a directory

    hi everyone, my problem is that my computer technician installed iwork on my imac and i do not know if its pirate or original and when i type this (sudo find / -iname "iworkserv*" -print) in the terminal to see if i have a trojan or not, find: /dev/fd/3: Not a directory and find: /dev/fd/4: Not a directory, comes up. i have downloaded the trojan removal program from securemac and it cant find any trojan. i have also donwloaded couple of antivirus programs to check and still it says clean. i have also asked my computer technician he says that the iwork was original but i dont trust him. so can anyone tell my why the two lines are showing up and what do i need to do?

    The error messages from the find command are normal.
    As for what you should do, the answer is simple, in my opinion. If you don't trust the technician, which you obviously don't, and you care about the security of your Mac, which you obviously do, then your only choice is to back up your user data, erase the hard drive, and reinstall the OS and all your other software from known-good copies that you downloaded yourself. Scanning for malware is a waste of time.
    You should also assume that this technician has read all of your files that were present at the time, including such things as banking passwords.

    One option you have is to use the opatch lsinventory command - this will list all of the patches applied to the ORACLE_HOME. If you are wanting to determine the database release number, query V$INSTANCE

  • Getting No input file specified. in php with index.php

    I just installed on a server (soalris10/u6 sparc) Web Server 7.0u4 (upgraded from u3), and I am now getting "No input file specified." for any php doc root, I now have to type the full path to get the main page.
    I am using the php part of the Sun coolstack 1.3.1 and it used to work fine with web server 7.0 u3, but now after the upgrade its not loading index.php
    for example I am going to http://server.domain.com/wiki used to work by loading index.php, but now I have to type the full index... http://server.domain.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page
    Any help is appreciated.

    If you're not currently using a php.ini, you can pass the parameter to PHP via your FastCGI configuration. Something like:
    Service fn=responder-fastcgi
            app-path="/export/WS7/third-party/php/php_fcgi"
            bind-path="$(lc($urlhost))"
            req-retry=5
            type="*magnus-internal/fastcgi*"
            app-env="PHPRC=/export/WS7/fooBaz/config"Now place a file called php.ini in /export/WS7/fooBaz/config and make sure that the UID Web Server is running as has permission to read it.
    Common syntax is KEY = Value. An example would be:
    cgi.fix_pathinfo = Off
    session.bug_compat_42 = Off
    session.bug_compat_warn = Off
    magic_quotes_gpc = Off
    memory_limit = 128M
    post_max_size = 128M
    upload_max_filesize = 128M
    fastcgi.logging = true

  • When I try to click on a download link for a .pdf file Firefox does not recognize the MIME type and tries to download the file as "index.php"

    When visiting a site I frequent I tried to download a linked .pdf file. Previously I've used Firefox 7.0.1 to download the link with no problem. Using Firefox 8 however I the browser does not recognize the .pdf link's mime type. Instead of recognizing the download link as a .pdf file Firefox 8 tries to download it as "index.php". Firefox 8 does this with .doc files and .txt files as well. When I downgrade to 7.0.1 again the problem disappears.

    Hi hakmacpace,
    I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.
    You could also try [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles?s=create+a+new+profile&r=2&e=es&as=s#w_creating-a-profile Creating a new profile].
    Hopefully this helps!
