Apache does not start after installing the policy web agent

Hi,
We get the following error when we start the apache webserver on linux which has opensso policy agent installed/configured to it.
./apachectl start./apachectl: line 77: 4453 Segmentation fault $HTTPD -k $ARGV
Environment:
OS: Linux SystemName 2.6.9-42.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jul 12 23:27:17 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux (32 bit)
WebServer: httpd-2.0.50-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz
Policy Web Agent: Apache_2.0.54_agent_2.2_RHAS3.0.tar.gz
Could not find the issue/solution for this problem on internet... Please suggest if anyone has some solution to this.

Hi,
Once I had an iAS 1.0.2.2 running without problems. However after installing Patch 7 for Forms (released 27 august 2001) I get exactly the same error messages as Pieter. I have tried starting apache as administrator, comment out mod_ose, set wv_gateway_cfg, but none seem to work. Please help.
Environment:
iAS 1.0.2.2 on Windows NT
Oracle 817 on AIX

InDesign does not start after installing it first time due to missing plug ins ("Zusatzmodule")

Hello,
I was using up to now InDesign CS3, but I bought the upgrade to InDesign CS 6.
After installing the new version I tried to start it, but during the start it complains about missing plugins and stops.
So, I can not run CS 6.
The missing modules are: SVG Export.apln and Dynamicdosuments.rpln.
What can I do to make CS 6 running?

thank you for your answer.
I have to admit, that unfortunately I dont understand the reply. I was uninstalling, running the Adobe CS cleaner tool for CS 6, reinstalling (as suggested in other entryies of the forum). No improvement.
Question A: Do I have to run the cleaner tool for all CS including CS 3? I am a bit afraid of side effects and have nothing running afterwards. Since nobody confirmed in the forum that this will help I dont dare to play around.
Question B: Coming back to your proposal, what do you mean by proper admin privileges? I am the only user on this laptop and never did something to any admin configurations.
Finally, I installed CS 6 on another laptop. This works. However, this one I dont want or can't work with for other reasons.

Oracle web tier install+config: opmn does not start after install

Centos 5 box.
After a silent install of web tier 11.1.1.2 opmn will not start. The installation was "complete" but I found some errors in the various log files.
When I try to start a process (for example) using opmn this error occurs in the log file:

The configuration of completed successfully.
Checking a screen shot of someone else's configure output theirs continues beyond
"Bootstrapping OPMN configuration files..."
and correctly generates the instance etc.
I have tried a reinstall, and also tried a generate a new instance using the silent config tool. Same errors each time.
Log also states;
Oracle Instance Home
                        Instance Home Size: 0 MB (or 40mb)
                        Available: 0 MB
. This varies between installs and configs but available is always 0. There is Gb's of space available in the directory and the user has write permissions.
Can anyone tell me why it is failing to correctly generate the wallet?

Solved. Oracle_home and Instance home must be subdirectories of MIDDLEWARE_HOME. MIDDLEWARE HOME and command to not install updates must be added to response file. Helpful to install and configure separately.

Safari does not start after installing Mountain Lion

I installed Mountain Lion on my Imac. No problem. However after installing ML on my MacBook Safari doesn't open. I have installed ML again but still it does not work.

You haven't indicated if you have tried multiple DVD/CD's or just the one. Look under the "Apple > About This Mac > More Info.. > Disk Burning " do you see the Superdrive? If the system recognizes it but it doesn't work try a

Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset.

after installing a from apple recommended EFI-frimware-update, the photo booth applications stars, but the camera doesnt work. the photo booth display does not show me toward mey computer. it shows only a green field...
does anybody have experience with that problem?
how can i solve it?

Do it from the Hard drive rather than the Install disk.
This will read the RECEIPTS folder for the most up-to-date info.

Does your iTunes Hang or Does Not Start after install??

Instead of disabling or turning off ViruScan, Firewalls or Internet Security programs... go to the program's home site and look for way to add iTunes to exception list to run.
In my case I run Symantec Internet Security 2005. I went to Symantec Site, searched for iTunes and found the following link.

I then added iTunes to the exceptions list for my Personal Firewall.... voila.. iTunes works now no problemo.

JAVA_HOME is set to "/opt/java" in /etc/profile.d/jdk.sh. If you just installed the jdk, the behavior you're describing is expected as JAVA_HOME hasn't been exported.
Try logging out and then logging back in.

Macbook does not start after installing Leopard

I installed/upgraded to Leopard but had to cancel it despite the warning that the machine maz not be able to start up again. Hours later i started the mac again and the installation programe came on immedialtey. Installation was completed but on the restart it gets stuck. It just loads )apple sign with little loading sign below) but nothing happens!

If you bought your RAM at a place that also sells PC RAM you may have gotten mislabelled RAM. PCs can handle different RAM speeds so they’ll often label higher speed RAM as a lower speed rather than make two different speeds of RAM. But Macs are much more picky. They require a RAM stick to be exactly 667mhz not 675mhz or 800mhz. The way to tell is to put one of your old RAM sticks in and it will force the new RAM to run at the correct speed.
This is from one review of PNY RAM:
"These modules are actually 800Mhz. PNY no longer makes or sells 667Mhz modules. Not all computers that require 667Mhz are compatible with 2 800Mhz modules. They refuse to down clock properly. This is especially true with a number of Core 2 Duo MacBooks. Spoke to PNY support, they flat out told me that yes, they sell 800Mhz modules in 667Mhz packaging. If you RMA a module that is 667Mhz (or supposed to be 667Mhz) they will replace it with an 800Mhz module as they no longer have any 667Mhz SODIMMs, not even for RMA replacement!"

I had perfect macbook pro until I upgraded to Maverick. Screen says installing with big X in the middle and Barber type ribbon moving over two hours.

Ok i bought a second hand MacBook from early 2009 and planned to use it to record songs in a small home studio using GarageBand, Live and protools, it came with 2gigs Of RAM and i tought i should take it up to 4 -the max it can handle- so i bought 2 2gigs a-data RAM sticks i took the factory ones out and put the new ones in but no way the "on/off" light turns on but nothing happens, no sound black screen, if i combine the factory ones and the new Inés whatever the order it works and i get 3 gigs combined but it just Won't Work with the 2 2gig ones in… the 4 are ddr2 working At 667mhz as i checked in the 'about this Mac > more options' what can i do… help! :(

I expect that you mean some version of iPad.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

The Connection Server does not start after an upgrade to BO4.1 SP3

The Connection Server does not start after an upgrade to BO4.1 SP3
We are in process to upgrade our Business Objects environments to BO4.1 SP3
The first 2 environments , the upgrade went fine. But the third environment de connection server won’t start.
When I always try to start it returns me a failed status and shows me that the server is considered failed because it has stopped 5 time(s) in 60 minute(s).
Our OS is AIX

Applet does not start after JRE 1.5 installation

Hi,
When I go to my webpage where I have an applet that requires Java 1.5..the browsers are prompting for Java installation (ActiveX component install on IE or Firefox plugin for JRE installation). But once the Java install completes the applet does not start automatically. The same code used to work nicely with Java 1.4. The applet used to automatically start and run once the JRE install completed. But with JRE 1.5 it does not start. If I do a refresh on the browser it again prompts for java installation. If I open new browser window and go to the URL the applet starts. Please let me know how to get the applet to start automatically after JRE 1.5 installation.
