Apache & missing libaprutil-1.so.0 [Solved]

I just updated my system via pacman, and now can't get apache to start.
httpd -k start gives me the following:
httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libaprutil-1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Th e refernce to this file I found on the net seems to say it is associated with perl, but I can't find it on the system although perl is installed.
I've run this with my old and updated conf files, both give me the same error.
How do I fix this?

I found the answer in a package named, surprisingly enough, apr-util. Installed that and all is good, other than my modules are all in a different place than the new conf file wants them.

Mac OS X 10.6 includes QuickTime versions 10.0 and 7.6.3. The QuickTime 7 player will only be present if a QuickTime Pro key was present at the time of installation, or if specified as part of a custom install, or individually downloaded:

Snow Leopard update 10.6.4 included an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can install it from the above link even though it says for 10.6.3. It's the same version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.
(Only QuickTime Player 7.6.3 or 7.6.6 can be updated to "Pro".)
iMovie does not, AFAIK, use QT 10.

Help-Finder icons missing!!! Problem Solved

Please help!
My finder menu icons are missing! Also, my finder preferences are missing. When I try to open the preferences for finder, nothing happens. My icons are also missing. There is no view or forward, back, or view icons. I have tried to remove them and bring them back, but they never show. if i select the area where the icon is supposed to be, it will go back or forward, but the action button( the space where it used to be) doesn't work. when i log into a different user on the same computer, evrything is normal, so it is an issue on my login.
Any ideas?
Probelm Solved-I found another thread and did the recommended deletion of the finder preference files, restarted the computer, and everything returned to normal!!!

You're saying that in the /Home/Library/Caches/ folder there is no folder name 'com.apple.finder?' This is a folder, not a file.
You can also move the /Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist file to your Desktop and relaunch the Finder
Your files are fine. You cannot simply delete a user account nor replace it with another. So for now do not even try.
You might also do this:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Exaile - missing gnome-python-extras problem [SOLVED]

Until last week i was able to fetch lyrics with exaile, but something broke it, and now exaile is complaining about missing gnome-python-extras. I have installed both libgtkhtml and gnome-python-extras:

Hi,
thanks for the tip. It kinda solved the problem.
I can see now the lyrics and the other tabs, but there is just a button that says, that 'open browser' and a link next to it. And when I try to open the information tab again exaile dies. I suppose that's another bug.
So now I'm trying to build the whole xulrunner from abs as I'm writing. I'm not really familiar with bug reporting, but if it still isn't working, I will report it.

EDIT: After installing xulrunner from abs exaile won't die, but it still don't load the pages within the tabs, and the wiki plugin still doesn't work

Libojc missing after split of gcc [SOLVED]

All libojc* files in /usr/lib that were in gcc 4.2.1-3.1 are missing from the new gcc package.
They are also not present in the gcc-base package.

also, the garbage collection option will cause the current pkgbuild (as of today) to fail to build gcc (--enable-objc-gc); this is not much to take, but with normal packages, gcc does not compile objective-c sources (as crocus pointed out).
this is much trouble to me as I write objective-c code for work right now; so I guess I will resort to rebuild gcc, and place it in IgnorePkg, hoping the packages will get fixed sometime.
please correct me if I am wrong:
as one needs the gcc binary to compile objc code be enabled to do so, and objc does not have an "own" compiler like c++ does with g++, it might be difficult to just do an additional package for objc.
Would it mean harm to provide a gcc-full package with *everything* enabled [the package would be meant to coexist with, not replace the current ones] (yes, even fortran) instead of modularizing it? If this is a dumb question, please correct me.

Yaourt -Syu = "missing dependencies: linuy-firmwake" KINDA [SOLVED]

This has to be some kind of error. linuy-firmwake must mean linux-firmware, right?
I hate to give so few details, but I don't know what else to post. I recently discovered a bad RAM stick. Its been removed.
Now when i enter yaourt -Syu or yaourt -Syy, i get these two phantom dependencies.
Boot also hangs, but if i "alt f2" I can log in.
Thoughts?

No missing dependencies when using pacman. I don't even know where to start on this one.
Nothing seems to be broken, so its not that big a deal, just annoying. I'm kind of OCD and can't stand little anomalies like this.

SSL error code -1/1/336032856 (Svn + apache + openssl-1.0.0-2) SOLVED

The problem is that when I try to commit, checkout or even look inside a repo using Subclipse in Eclipse I get this error:

This problem probably occured after last update because I can't think of anything else that would have produced this problem.
Checking out a project in the terminal locally works:

I have tried creating new keys to see whether that was a problem:
cd /etc/httpd/conf/;
openssl req -new -x509 -keyout server.key -out server.crt -days 365 -nodes
I'm thinking maybe to try and downgrade openssl to 0.9.8, would that be a good idea or would you recommend something else?

[SOLVED] php-apache problem

Ever since an update I ran yesterday, apache will not start, so I began to troubleshoot. I removed the lines in httpd.conf that had to do with including php. I tried starting apache and it worked. So now I know php has to do with it. I tried reinstalling everything (i.e. apache, mysql, php, php-apache) and still no luck.
SOLVED: Cleared /var/cache/pacman/pkg, reinstalled, and rebooted a few times. Very strange

List of missing features in CC 2014 for film editors

hello everyone,
I was thinking about some features I miss in CC 2014 (and I really was hoping they will be there, because the most of them are just basics...) and made a list which I want to send (again...) to Adobe as feature request. Premiere improved a lot in last years, but there are still some basic functions which you absolutely need as a professional editor, which still aren`t implemented. What do you think about the list? or maybe did I overlook some of the new features in CC 2014? Just so you know, I`m using Premiere mostly for editing movies (shorts, but will edit my first feature film this year), also promotional films, but much more less. So my biggest concern right now is if Premiere is the right choice for editing a feature, which of course means a lot of material, probably Red Raw.
so here`s what I totally miss in Premiere:
1. auto sync/auto merge: synching by timecode or waveform all of the video and audio clips in the bin/in the timeline at once and not one after another. and merging them all at once, not one after another. it works of course, but it takes ages!
2. merged clips should be more flexible,
- it should be possible to use the option "interpret footage" on merged clips, sometimes you have to modify them after they were merged and you`re already editing for a long time.
- replacing raw footage should also replace the footage in the (already merged and edited in a timeline) merged clips
3. the aaf export is much too simple, there are a lot of options I miss there. it is great solve in Avid and in automatic duck in Final Cut, something like that would be great
4. the possibility to change color space in the project and play out. yes, this option is available in After Effects, but you can`t always use it, because there is some footage you can`t import in AE (like titles!)
5. .. which leads me to the last point: it should be possible to export the titles from Premiere with an alpha channel (I`m using the titles as the subtitles)

Another missing feature, automatically filling in formulas when a new row is created. For instance, say you have 3 columns, 1 + 2 = 3. In Office 2004, when I add a new row, that formula is automatically inserted. It's just one of those nice little time saving features that would be nice.

Missing DataBase Login information for deployed VS2008 w/Crystal Report

I'm creating a Windows Form application using VS2008 Pro and the basic Crystal Reports (included).
I've successfully added a crystalreportviewer control and a crystal report (.rpt) to my form. I've written the following code in the code behind to programmatically load/bind the report to the viewer. Everything works fine on my development machine (or any machine that has Visual Studio installed). Where I'm encountering problems is when I deploy the application to a machine that does not have VS installed (I have downloaded and installed the "Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 Redistributable Package" for the appropriate processor type on this non development machine) that I'm getting an error . It prompts for "DataBase Login". The ServerName, LoginID and Password are all there, but the "DataBase" field is empty and disable for user input.
Why is the DataBase information missing? How can I solve this problem?
(On a side note, I vaguely remember a property for enabling/disabling the prompting of the database login. I can't remember where this was again to double check if that is the culprit. But I'm pretty sure that I did mark it as to not prompt, since it's supplied in the code behind. Plus it doesn't prompt on the development machines. Only on the non-development machines).

Thanks for the tips. I tried both, but the problem presists.
On a side note, I did get my hands on yet another "non-development machine". This one ran with Window's Vista appeared to work (even with my original code).
The "non-development machines" that I've tested on are Windows 7 and Window XP machines. On these machines, when I commented out the reportDocument.SetDatabaseLogon line, when I try to load the report, it still prompts for the Database Logon information, however, it also has the "Database name" empty and disabled.
Since it worked on a non-development machine with Win Vista. I don't think there is a problem with references or the Crystal runtime packages.
As far as permission for the report to contact the database, I'm guessing there isn't a problem there either because the application does successfully connect to the database.
I'm connecting to a SQL2005 database and using the SQL Native connection.
On a side note: as for the enabling prompting, I just remembered that it was an option available when using Crystal Reports with a web project. Thus I couldn't find it here with a Window's Form project.

How to find which drivers are missing?

My laptop model no is Hp Pavillion dv6 1337tx. Someday ago I installed Windows 7 32 bit OS and also installed all drivers from the HP site. Still in the device manager I can see som drivers are missing. What can those be and how can I identify those missing drivers and solve this problem?

Determining what the devices are is a one at a time process. On each unknown device or device without drivers, right click on the device and select properties. In the properties window select the Details tab and hardware ids in the property dropdown. Post the PCI\VEN string as seen in the following image for each device here in your post. Once that is done we can let you know what the device is.
This is where the drivers for your notebook are located. Do you know which chipset is installed?

SubVI or controls not loaded - missing files from location misc.llb

When I try to load VI in Labview 2012, I get several errors for missing files:

C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\NI ELVISmx\misc.llb\subGetDevProductType.vi

The VI you're using sounds like it's using those subVIs and they're not in those locations. This can be because of a custom install where the path is not that one, or it could be a version change and those files were moved. Did you make this VI? Has it worked before? Did you install NI ELVISmx? That might be worth a shot since those are the folders that it's looking in. Just make sure the version you download in compatible until your verison of LabVIEW.

Markup missing in extensions

It seems after the update from Public Beta 6 to Final Version some things are missing. Widgets were missing but have since been solved on how to make them appear.
However inside of the Extensions pane in system Preferences, it seems the new Markup part is missing, which may be the reason the Social Widget does not work and neither does Social Share inside of Safari.
Is there a way to fix this or patch this problem that it seems many people are having.
