Apache reports "access denied/HTTP 1.1"

When browsing a certain website, I often get the message
"access denied/HTTP 1.1" from the Apache Webserver. Sometimes the error message starts with this output, and the whole page fills with all kind of strange and unreadable special characters.
This happens only on one website and just with Safari, but regularly. When I use Firefox, it works perfectly.
I know the pages uses some heavy include() in their PHP scripts, which probably sometimes take too much data for Safari handling it?
Any idea?

Okay I have woked it down that I need to tag some properties or conf file but I need to know which file. I saw somthing about using <ApacheConfig path="<MOD_JK_Home>"> but where would I set this tag.

I have a problem with the new Yahoo widget engine's (4.5) suggested structure, when trying to execute an RFC request.
An older version of my .kon file has a classic structure, and it works fine, I write the script into the .kon file, it looks like this:

Yahoo has added security control in widgets since 4.5. You should add tag <security> in your widget.xml

Apache/Tomcat Access denied????

hello.
I am trying3 to run. Apache 1.3.26 and tomcat 4.0 together on Windows 2000 Pro and have had no luck. I configured the httpd.conf file with these statements and the corresponding files are in the correct directories

now when I start up Apache.(I use a console to start it.) It tells me that Apache 1.3.26 and mod_jk1.1.0 are both running. But.... if I go to the url http://localhost/examples/jsp. I get a page not found error. Same for the http://localhost:8080(page not found). So I went to the services manager, and I tried to run the service from there and it gave me an access denied prompt. I tried the startup.bat and that didn't work either. Plus I did a reboot and did the steps in reverse order, no luck there eithr.
Anyone ever had this problem , anyone know what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Access denied - http authentication

Hi all,
I have a java web service client that needs to connect to a .net web service. When I set up the client in Netbeans 6, the wizard asks to accept the certificate - which I do.
The .net web services provider gave me a username and password to access the web service, but when I typed it in, I got an error.
When I run the web service client, I get:
com.sun.xml.ws.client.ClientTransportException: request requires HTTP authentication: Access Denied
Where can I supply the authentication details for the client to access the server?

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to perform HTTP authentication when connecting from a java webservice client to a .Net web service?

Financial Reporting "Access Denied" to HFM reports (11.1.1.3)

Hi,
I have installed Financial Reporting 11.1.1.3 Client on a PC running Windows Vista 32 bit SP1. When I try to access to a report created form another PC that connects to HFM, it says "Error connectiong to server" and "Cannot connect to database "X": Access Denied". The native user is the same that created the report; on the same machine, I can succesfully access HFM applications from HFM client and Rule editor.

I have similar issue and cannot find an answer.
My environment is 11.1.2.1 (upgrade from 11.1.1.3)
All applications working fine (planning, essbase, hfm).
I'm unable to change database connection to hfm (db change to essbase and Plannng works). Error says that I have wrong cluster/server configuration.
Question is how this configuration should lokks like. I already tested:
1. HFMProd - this is cluster name and Server1 as a server in HFMProd cluster
2. No cluster, just Server1
3. HFMProd and Server1 in plus Server1 separately
In all cases the same message.
When I open FR studio I'm able to see reports (from workspace also).
When I try to open report I have an error due to some links to the old server ip (I guess this is taken from connection info that I can not change)
What is more I can create new Planning report in studio, but can not open through workspace.
From Workspace I can manage reporting services so everything is visible correctly (or should be :) ).
Any idea?

Editing Pre-built quick list report - access denied?

I tried to edit a pre-build quick list report but I get an access denied error when trying to save it?
Can someone confirm if this is by design?
I just want to remove a column but I don't really want to have to create a copy of the report, then update the analysis that navigates to this report so it points to my new version. Also it will mean the Original version is still available via the reports tab which i would not want to avoid confusion.

You cannot edit the Pre-Built reports, you have to open them and resave them to edit them.

Safari reports "Access Denied"

When trying to access the internet using Safari, I get the following message:
Access Denied (policy_denied)
Your system policy has denied access to the requested URL.
For assistance, contact your network support team.
I am using a known-working Internet connection. The connection works fine when using Firefox. We have Qwest High Speed, but at home I have WildBlue satellite where it works fine.
Software Update also does not work, but Mail does.
I'm confused!?!

10.10.3 is now available, see if the upgrade helps.
Preferences > Security and Privacy has a Firewall tab. Compare settings with Macbook Pro.
Look at your Mac Hosts file for any entries that may be blocking Adobe servers.

Perl and apache giving access denied message locally...

I have a simple perl script that is sitting in my "sites" directory, and have turned on all the changes in the apache httpd.conf file.
when I use http://localhost~username i get the default web page, but when I add the firct.cgi to the end, I get the following error...
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /~kentjason/first.cgi on this server.
why is this happening. I should be able to see anything in that directory, right?

You need the executable bit set in any UNIX variant for a file that is executed directly. It could be a script or an actual executable binary. For example, if you tried to execute the file from the command line directly it would have given an error.ls -l test.pl

It will not open Mozilla at all, it comes up with a problem box, which states on the first line: Access denied to system because of URL Filter Configuration.

2008 R2 printer server, cannot connect to printer, access denied, Windows 7 OS only

Deployed new Windows 2008 R2 domain controller, added print and document controll. Added several network printers on R2 server. We currently have mostly Vista biz clients but half a dozen W7Pro clients also. The Vista clients connect to these new network
printers, no problem but none of the W7 clients will connect. I select the printer from the drop down directory list and select to load the drivers, the system starts loading drivers and then right before it finishes it stops with error message, "Windows cannot
connect to the printer. Access denied. Again, this happens only with the W7 clients on our domain, Vista works fine.

Access denied error for Read user in sharepoint 2010

In sharepoint 2010 subsite a user with Read permission getting Access Denied error while login.
Few points:
1. Master pages are approved not in pending status.
2. Site permissions are not inherited.

Group Policy Printer Error (0x80070005 Access Denied)

I am trying the deploy two network printers via group policy using Server 2008 R2 SP1. I created the GPO and added the printers from our print server under computer configuration so that it will apply to the computers, not just the users. After a computer in
the correct OU Gpupdates I recieve the following error in it's application event log:
WARNING: GROUP POLICY PRINTERS
Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code 0x80070005 Access is Denied. This error was suppresed.
Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated. I have been dealing with this error and trying the figure it out for awhile now.

Access Denied to report file on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise

Hi,
I have a deployment problem for which I am out of ideas. I have an ASP.NET web site deployed on a server running Windows Server 2003 R2, sp2. It makes extensive use of Crystal Reports, including both displaying them and e-mailing them to specified recipients as PDF files. It all works great.
Now I need to port the web site to a different server, running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, sp1. The reports display fine as long as I am not trying to convert it to PDF for e-mailng. When it gets to the following line in my code:
MemoryStream memStream = (MemoryStream)rptDoc.ExportToStream(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat);
It reports the following error:
Access denied.Error in File JobDetails {DC64A5D3-9DD7-4E4C-90F5-A08731409B29}.rpt:
Access to report file denied. Another program may be using it.
I finally got it to work by granting Modify permission to Everyone for the c:\Windows\Temp folder. Obviously this is not a good practice. Granting Full Control to the IUSR_servername account did not solve the problem on Windows Server Enterprise, although it did the trick on R2.
So the question is, which account needs which permission to the Temp folder to enable the PDF to get written?

What ever account the app is running under will need read / write permissions on the temp folder. Your working server should be a good place to look to see how the premissions were set there. The same will apply to any other server(?).

Access denied error for BW Report iView..Please help :(

Hello All,
I have created a BW Report iView..containing a Bex query.
Have created the required BW system object too.
When I preview this iView, it asks me for BW system authentication....since am not mapped to this BW system.
Its alright till here......
Problem:
Now, when I copy paste the URL (URL generated when you preview this iView) into a new browser window, I get an error saying:
" An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
Access denied (Object(s): <iView path>
Exception id: 02:57_13/02/06_0034_6204550
See the details for the exception ID in the log file "
I checked tha bove mentioned log and it says:
Permission check failed - Object <iView path> Pcd.Use Principal: Information not available with current trace level#
Changed the iView authentication scheme to every value present but it did not resolve.
Please help me resolve this.
