APD BW- CRM

Hi everybody,
in APD using CRM as Target I get listed an Option "CRM Target Group" , associated to its configuration there are among others the following key words:
Profile Set Description
Segment Type
What does "CRM Target Group" mean? documentation? some example or scenery where one can use it?

Target groups are created with reference to specific marketing activities, for example, an e-mail marketing campaign intended to introduce a new product or a telephone campaign targeted at your most profitable customers. You can use profiles to combine the required selection criteria and then set up your target groups.

CRM datatargets nog available in BI APD for CRM Update

Hi collegues,
I am a bit on a rush job here, so I havent got the time to figure everything out myself. Any help is appreciated.
I am trying to update Business Partner Routing Attributes (Marketing attributes) via the APD from BI to CRM.
All is built but i cannot select the data targets in the APD for CRM.
The error CRM error : Data target BPMKT not known
Message no. RSAN_MDL022
Diagnosis
The following error occurred while attempting to access the CRM system:
Data target BPMKTnot known
The message number in the CRM system is: 002CRMBW_ATTR_WRITE.
same error message as in thread

I have done the customizing in CRM @
Define ID for Data Target Adapters
Release Data Target for Replication from SAP BW
Maintain Attributes and Select BW Key Figures for Business Partners
But when i select any BI adapter in the APD for CRM attributes i get the error mesage mentioned above.
do i have to release anything to BI?
can anyone give me a hint as how to i can solve it?

Send data from APD to CRM target groups

Hi everybody.
I am trying to make a marketing segmentation of customers in the APD (BI) and I need to send the results to a target group in CRM, my problem is that I can´t see target groups in the u201CData Target CRMu201D.
I select the Logical System and when I select the Data Target the system shows CRM error: Data target TARGET_GROUP_FROM_B not known.
I know that the communication is OK, the RFC is working cause I can see Marketing Attributes (I released data target for replication and maintained attributes) but I don´t know if I need to do something similar with Target Groups of CRM or how.
Does anyone have an idea how can I see target groups in the window of the Data Target?

We are BW 7.01 (EHP 1, Service Pack Level 7).
As part of our BW project scope for our current release, we will be developing certain reports in BW, and for certain reports, the existing legacy reporting system based out of MS Access and the old version of Business Objects Release 2 would be used, with the needed data supplied from the BW system.
What is the best way to export the data out of BW into a flat file on the Server on regular intervals using a process chain?

Hello Shashi,
some comments:
1) An "open hub license" is required for all processes that extract data from BW to a non-SAP system (including APD). Please check with your SAP Account Executive for details.
2) The limitation of 16 key fields is only valid when using open hub for extracting to a DB table. There's no such limitation when writing files.
3) Open hub is the recommended solution since it's the easiest to implement, no programming is required, and you don't have to worry much about scaling with higher data volumes (APD and CRM BAPI are quite different in all of these aspects).

Populating CRM marketing attributes using the APD

Hi Experts
We are having problems with populating CRM marketing attributes using the APD. When we run our process we get the error message:
CRMBW_ATTR_WRITE005: Error when processing function module CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT_5. Message no. RSAN_MDL024
As you can see, we are using the new function module CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT_5 since the old CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT did not work either.
Do we have to add a reference to a infoobject in transaction CRMBWTARGETS? We have not done this because the marketing attribute in CRM doesnt have decimals and all the objects in BI have. Could this be the cause of the error?

Thanks for quick reply.
I have already followed the procedure you have described. Since there is not common objects between ODS and Bpatner infoobject, i am not able to do mapping.
for eg. my ZBPARTNER infoobject has attributes like zfooty, ztennis and zrugby but my ODS has char name , char value, counter for multiple values infoobjects.
I am following the example in the demo content to work out the process but could not understand how the data is getting uploaded from ODS to Business partner.

Problem in APD creation from BW to CRM

Hi all,
I want to create apd which would feed data from BW to CRM. For that I have gone through a post in scn where it was told to create project and then extension in crm side (eewb transaction). I did all but in the wizard where I have to create table, I was unable to approach forward because of some issues.
1) It gives an error message that key is not selected, although I have selected the key.
2) Some other time it gives error that infoofject cannot be validated, although the infoobjects are activated in bw side.
Please help me in this regard.

Hi Vimal,
You'd need to debug the FM CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL to find out what was the cause of validation error. Once you get the missing details, check if those details are being populated correctly at ECC end.

APD - CRM Data target - Don't run in background

Hi ,
I have create an APD to load the Marketing attributes for the BP on CRM.
The process is ok and it works fine.
When i launch this process in backgroung, the job failed with the following messages :
CRM ERROR :
CX_RSAN_MDL_CHECK_NODE_MSG=>T100_MSGID
No authorisation for the function CHOOSE
And nothing in SU53, very strange

This is an authorisation problem.
The user used for background jobs (ALEREMOTE) must have some specific authorisation objects :
C_CRMBWTGT
C_CABN

APD and Data Target in CRM

Hi,
I have created ADS in CRM through EEWB with BI info objects.
Now I want to load this ADS table through APD from BI to CRM.
for that I am creating APD in BI with category as general.
I have selected data target as CRM
In that I am giving the appropriate logical system .
In the second dropdown which is for Data Targets : Here I am not getting ADS ( Analytica Data Source ) as my Data Target.
In CRM table BWTARGETS it is there with all attributes.
Also in CRM SPRO the data Target is Available with name as CACHE.
Path in SPRO : SPRO -> Integration with other mysap components -> Data Transfer from SAP Business Information Warehouse -> Define ID for data target adapters.
Let me know what I am missing in above process to get data target ADS in APD design ?

Just create a Process Chain to execute this APD method, if the process Chain is already available, then just insert this Process in to the process Chain and execute the Process Chain by normal process, by hoe we do in general.

Attributes are not saved in CRM using APD

Hello experts, I have trouble recording the attributes marketing from BW to CRM. APD use to record data, the log of APD ends in green but when I go to transaction BP in CRM data are not.

CRM target system in APD after system copy

Hello!
We will do an systemcopy from productive to integration BW. After this in APD the target system is the productive CRM system.
We have a lot of APD-processes. So we look for a way to do this in a easy (automatic?) way now and in future.
Maybe table RSANT_PROCESS can help. But I don´t know to handle this at the moment.
Does someone can help me with this?

Did you run BDLS for all logical systems? I'm not sure it takes care of your problem, but I think it should.

1. EEWB in this case is used to create tables in CRM Systems. So once i've made it (the tables), I can see that tables on BW Systems (particularly when i'm creating transformation).

2. The procedure that i should make sequently :
a. [CRM Systems]: Create z-tables through tcode EEWB.
Btw, do i make tables throught this t-code either in BW System & CRM System ?
If yes, Should the project name in EEWB for both system has the similar name?
b. [BW Systems]: Create APD.
c. [BW Systems]: Create transformation in APD for mapping where you'll see the table created in CRM System.

You will make tables in CRM system.After the extension creation you can check it in the t-code SE12 in CRM system.
b)by project name you mean the project you assign to the TR's????
then it depends upon your system.SInce these are two different systems therfore you should create two different projects in the two systems and assign the projects accordingly.

i made project in EEWB then i choose the business object is ADS (Analytical Data Storage) .. => Do i correct in choosing the business object there?
yes.
Yes this is I think a bug.I faced the same issue many times ... what you can do is try to deselect all the key figures and again select the keys.....this will help sometimes....after trying 2-3 times I think you will learn a way to come out of it:)

APD process til CRM attribute with type CURR

Hi Experts
I have an APD process that I want to write 0amount to a CRM marketing attribute. Similar processes work fine with CHAR, DEC, and so on. It is only when I use CURR (0amount) that it does not work. The CRM 3.1 system says it is something wrong with the marketing attribute. We use BW 3.5. Have anyone experienced something similar?

The characteristic KJOP in the CRM system has the same parameters as the InfoObject I am using BW.

APD process is active, How to trigger the data from BI to CRM table

Hi All,
I want to send data from BI system(using APD method) to CRM table (ADS method).
I am able to see the table for e.g ABCD in CRM system , i can open using SE11 , but data is 0.
In BI , i have data in DSO and i have mapped it in APD process to data Target to CRM system and APD is active.
Now i want to know how to trigger the data from BI to CRM table? (e.g ABCD).
Please let me know the steps.
