Aperture 2.1 won't accept pics after OS upgrade to 10.6.7

I recently upgraded my Mac to OS 10.6.7. Now Aperture 2.1 won't read all my picture from my camera card - only the first few. I get a message saying I did not eject the card properly - but I didn't eject it! Is this an upgrade problem? Will upgrade to Aperture 3 solve this? Any advice is appreciated.

Powerbook won't accept password after OS upgrade

My G4 powerbook hard drive started going bad, so I had the local Apple store put in a new one and upgrade the OS at the same time. The store did the data recovery.
When I now try to connect to my home wireless network, the computer recognizes the access point and asks for the password. When I try to enter the password, I get an error that indicates I am not typing in the correct password. Password has NOT changed since the access point was created. The password was previously stored on the computer, but all stored passwords were lost when the data was restored to the new hard drive.
Any suggestions?

If this wireless access point you are trying to connect to is yours, then I would go into the router and reset the password or change is. You can also perform a hard reset on the router so that you can connect to the network.

Won't accept password after leopard install

I just upgraded my iMac OS10.2.8 to Leopard and all went well until the restart. I normally have auto login since I'm the only user but now the password login pops up and it won't accept any of the passwords I enter. Help!

All these messages started to come up including Mail wants to use the login keychain; PubSubAgent...Dotmacsyncclient... They keep popping up and my old password won't work. It also seems to be interupting my email sending as well. It asks repeadily for my email account passwords (they work though) Help! I work from home and am really nervous about these problems. Canon MP180 scanner won't be recognized after Mavericks upgrade

My Canon MP180 scanner won't be recognized after Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) upgrade: neither in Image Capture nor in MP180 standalone app.
The printer works well though.

I asked Canon support and got the answer that OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) was not supported.
I am kindly being suggested either to downgrade from 10.9 or to buy another scanner. Cool.

IMac won't accept password after time machine restore

Restored 2009 IMac after an HD replacement by Apple. All proceeded smoothly until IMac wouldn't accept my password after the restore from Time Machine. Any ideas will be appreciated.

One thing to try, if you didn't already do this, is to reinstall OS X and use Setup Assistant (which is only available at first boot of a new HD or a reinstalled OS) to migrate your data. A full Time Machine restoration on a new HD can have file permissions problems and/or duplicate User Account problems if Setup Assistant is not used.

Won't accept password after updating software

everytime I open it up. Today I got notice of a software update for Lion which I downloaded.
Since then I get asked for my password, but it isn't accepting it. It gives the hint for the

Lion Server Won't Accept Password After New Motherboard Installed

We got a mac mini with Lion Server installed on it. The motherboard went bad so we took it back, and they put in the new motherboard. We couldn't log into the computer after that for some reason so we reinstalled it using the Time Machine backup we had (running from the other drive). Then we were able to log in using our admin password. Now the connecct to server won't work, even though we're trying to connect to ourselves, which should us the admin password. We deleted all the keychain passwords but to no avail.
Thoughts?

We had to reinstall the software (using cmd-r when booting up) and then reload everything. That fixed it.

Won't accept password after equipment swap

Hello - My 1TB Time Capsule blew it's WAN port. Before taking it back to Apple I backed up the config. Apple replaced the device and I took it home and imported the config file and everything came up fine. Except, Time Machine won't work. I went through the normal setup (even though nothing changed) and selected the disk and entered my password. When it goes to do a back up though, it says my password doesn't match. I know it's right but as a just in case, I went back to the TimeCapsule and re-entered my password. Then I went back to TimeMachine and it still gives me the wrong password error. So, right now, every time it goes to backup, I get a failure note due to password.
Anyone have a tip here?

Listener Won't accept connections after time (OERR TNS lost contact)

I am running 8.1.7.0.1 on Linux 7.1 (all patches applied).
Things were going great until this morning and my listener now
seems to be flaking out. After I start it, people can connect to
the database but within a few minutes they start getting
ORA-12547 TNS lost contact when they try to connect. If I
tnsping the database from my client I get the "No Listener"
message. Doing a status on the listener shows that (2) service
handlers are active for my database...when I first start it there
is only one. What does that mean? Does anyone have any
suggestions? Thanks in advance...

How is your Apple TV connected to your Computer? I know that you are doing this wirelessly, but is their an access point being used between your computer and the Apple TV? If so, is it and Airport Extreme, or a third-party router? If third-party, what type? N? G?
What is the distance between your computer and the bedroom? What type of computer are you using Mac or PC? If PC, XP or Vista?
Sorry to ask all of these questions, but I'm trying to figure out if this is a problem with the distance and, if so, can the router be tweaked to increase its broadcast to your bedroom.
If the the distance is too great, you might have to purchase an Airport Express to work as an extender. On the other hand, if you are using a Linksys Router, you can change the Radio Beacon to improve signal. If you are using an access point google Beacon Interval, Fragmentation Threshold, and RTS Threshold.
For example, change your Beacon to 50, your Fragmentation Threshold to 2304 and your RTS Threshold to 2305. This will improve the quality of the signal. You do this by accessing your Router through your web browser: type 192.168.1.1 (or whatever is the equivalent for your router.)

IPad won't accept passcode after iOS5 update?

Just updated my iPad 2 to iOS5. Turned it on and the passcode prompt has changed, no longer just asking for 4 digit passcode. Oooookay, I entered my old 4-digit passcode and it didn't work. Tried my Apple ID passcode, no luck. Tried the password for the MacBook that the iPad is sync'd to. No luck.

Anyone? This is a BIG problem for me because I use the iPad for work constantly, and I really don't have time to waste an afternoon at the "Genuis" bar resolving a problem that shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Does Apple even BETA TEST this junk?

Wow, I have just purchased an iPad for my wife and had this exact problem. It didn't help that it decided to lock at exactly the same time I was trying to sync it to iTines on a computer. I did a restore and had to re-install all the apps. All went OK, then it did it again. I went to the Macshop who said they had never heard of such a thing. I would not have thought to try my wife's outlook exchange password unless I had found this post ! Thanks

I tried sending my project the way you said. I got the message that it would take about 15 minutes to do this. Then the program quit again. No 30 seconds after I tried to send it.
I just spoke with a tech from Apple and he say there is a glitch in my project. He had me try to send a different project using Quick Time and it went right through. He say I will have to build a whole me project and I'll just have to hope it doesn't have a glitch in it. Not what I wanted to here, I have a lot of hours in this project.

RV-042 won't allow login after firmware upgrade

After upgrading our RV-042 (purchased May 2011) with latest firmware, the configuration is still working, but we cannot login to the router on the LAN, it just hangs after clicking login or hitting Enter. We've tried different browsers and different computers, we've tried router restart. It won't even respond to a intentionally incorrect password. Anyone have any idea what to do next? Thanks.

I had the same problem (after some uptime, i can open the login-page, input my credentials, but do not get any further).
After some testing, I found out that it must be some kind of memory-problem:
The amount of time after a reboot, until this behaviour occurs, depends on the amount of alterts being logged.
If you disable logging of the firewall-rules, and clear the log every day, you will be running for quite a while, without this problem.
I have opened a supportcase with cisco, and they are aware of my findings.
If this will lead to an official solution, well.....

KT3v MS6712 System Won't power up after RAM upgrade

hello this is my first posting to this forum and I hope someone might be able to help on this as I am totally stumped. I have been running my KT3V MS6712 mobo with 256MB since it was built. The manual for this mobo says it can handle up to 3GB RAM in any order or size. I have 3 DIMM slots and thought it would be more cost effective to just
purchase 1 DIMM leaving the other 2 slots free. So I decided to upgrade to 1GB and I bought a Kingston 1Gb PC2100 266MHz DIMM and installed it on my system. Now my system won't power on at all. When I press the power button on the PC, the CPU fan spins for like 1-2 seconds then stops. The system appears to be completely dead. Cos I thought the problem was down to the new RAM installation I thought better put my old 256 DIMM back, however I still get the same problem. I have tried swopping both DIMMS into different slots but still doesn't work. The system was working fine until I did the RAM upgrade. I tried resetting the CMOS by moving the jumpers around in case it was a BIOS issue, still hasn't made a difference. Dunno if its the PSU which has suddenly gone, however seems strange. There are no beeps from the system or lights flashing to indicate anything. I don't have
the D-Bracket installed either. I have also never upgraded the BIOS on this system as it has always been stable. The CPU is not overclocked. Has anyone had this problem before after a RAM upgrade? Hope I have given you enough information

Suntek is perhaps not the best of PSU makers, but a sudden collapse is not so common. You normally notice problems earlier.
I took a big beating last time I said this , but it is important that there is no power in the system when changing memory sticks.
It sounds a bit like the processor went away for holiday. Have you any data on the processor temperature? Is there any activity at all? Does the processor heat sink get warm?

MacBook Pro won't boot up after Lion upgrade

I upgraded my 13" macbook pro to lion last night. I watched some movies until the battiery died. Now it won't boot up. Indicator light does not come on and it makes no noise. Battery indicator says it's full. Any suggestions?

MBP's are very finicky about RAM. Most of us here will recommend Crucial or OWC as the best source. If I were you I'd put the original RAM back in and see if the problem goes away. If so, return what you just bought and buy from one of the vendors I mentioned.

Macbook Pro won't boot OSX after Yosemite upgrade 10.10.3

I downloaded the update to 10.10.3 this morning before driving my daughter to daycare. When I came back, my Macbook Pro had rebooted into Windows 7 (Boot Camp). I restarted it by telling it to reboot to OSX, but it boots Windows again. If I turn it off completely, and then turn it on again, there's no chime... just a black screen for about 30 seconds, followed by "Starting Windows". I'm about to reboot to try resetting NVRAM and SMC, but I don't know if that's going to work without the chime...
I really need OSX to get going, so any help appreciated.

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.
