Aperture 3.1 - OS 10.6 Conflict when trying to run in 32 bit mode?

Hi All,
I'm looking for advice on running Aperture in 32 bit mode to use plugins. I already posted a question in the Aperture forum, but was advised to post it here as the issue may be with the OS. I am running Snow Leopard and can't seem to force Aperture into the 32 bit mode.
I have checked the box "Open in 32 bit mode" in the Get info menu in Finder, but when I launch Aperture and try to use a 32 bit plugin, it tells me that I need to reopen it in 32 bit mode or contact the developer.
I'm running Aperture 3.1. The 32 bit plugins I'm trying to use are:
Sharpener Pro
Color Efex Pro
Dfine 2.0
Hydra HDR
Any ideas on how I can get around it would be hugely appreciated!

More RAM than the 4GB per application a 32-bit OS offers would be of no help. iTunes uses a flat-file database, basically just a text file, and that's the main reason why it performs poorly when you get a very large library. More RAM would not help since even a very large library file can easily fit into a 32-bit address space, so more RAM allocated to the program would not improve matters.

I have the same problem, and while I can 'fix' it with the approach described here, I have to 'fix' it that way EVERY TIME I launch itunes. I suppose the lousy support for mainstream computers is apple's way of saying, 'well of course you can't use your phone, you're not living in a (TM) apple home (TM) please sell your existing home and purchase one from apple if you want your phone to work.' I never would have imagined that as a computer programmer it would be a multi-hour/failed installation process to get iTunes and the iPhone4 working properly. What a joke.

I have quicktime installed on windows 7, 64 bit, and then installed the 64 bit version of iTunes. Install is successful, but when I try ot run iTunes, I get an error - "QuickTime was not found". Any suggestions?

Error when trying to run VC in Trial mode???

I'm trying to run Visual Communicator 3.0 in Trial mode as downloaded from Adobe.com
Choosing the Trial Radio button, gives me an erro with " A Problem was encountered while trying to load the trial period of Visual Communicator................"
I'm then prompted to quit and try again or reinstall.
I have done that several time times but no joy/
The only other option I am then given is to purchase a serial number........
Why purchase something that does not work???

New computer with lightroom 5.7 installed old computer has 3.6 installed.The new version has a conflict when trying to read the external harddrives.Old sees it as drive (I) but new sees it as drive(E).When I try to rename external drive it comes up as LaC

Error Message when trying to run Applications Module in OA Framework

Below is the message that I received when trying to run my Applicaitons Module in test mode. When I click the error message I navigate to "public class TpcApBanksEOImpl extends OAEntityImpl". I was told to put "abstract" before "class" and to run it. It did compile after that, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me why.
Error(12,8): class test_xxtpc.bc4j.TpcApBanksImpl should be declared abstract; it does not define method setLastUpdateLogin(oracle.jbo.domain.Number) in class oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OAEntityImpl

Basically, an abstract method is a method in a class where just the signature is defined, and no implementation is provided. What you are being told by the compiler is that the method setLastupdateLogin is abstract, meaning that neither TpcApBanksImpl nor OAEntityImpl nor any of it's parents implement that method; therefore, your TpcApBanksImpl must be declared abstract.

Attempt to load Oracle client libraries threw BadImageFormatException. This problem will occur when running in 64 bit mode with the 32 bit Oracle client components installed.
1. If you install 64 bit oracle this is not an issue. Install 64 bit oracle.
2. Download odp.net 32 bit from below link:-

3. installed the odp.net.
4. open the visual studio 2010.
5.Select new - project - asp.net web application - project name -ok
6.select tools- > connect to database- then follow the following steps
                         i> user name - your user name/client username (example -- hr)
                         ii> password -- enter your password/client password (example- hr)
                        iii>select connection type -- if you want to connect client database then- select EZ connect other wise select tns
                        iv>test the connection- then you will get connection succeed.
                        v> then click ok

You do not need to do anything in VS. You do need to configure both tnsnames.ora files, because the drivers do not share any data.

My report Fetch from the orcle database , we installed Oracle 10g and 11g - clent 32 -bit on win 2k8 -64 bit machine .while design time runing fine,but ofter depolyement im facing below issue.

Based on the error message, we should confirm whether Oracle client tool has been installed on the Report Server at the beginning. If the Report Server installed is 64-bit, we should also install a 64-bit Oracle client tool on the Report Server. Besides, we
can also try to bypass tnsnames.ora file when connecting to Oracle by specifying all the information in the data source instead of using the TNS alias to connect
to the Oracle database. Please see the sample below:
Data Source=(DESCRIPTION=(CID=GTU_APP)(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST= server01.mydomain.com)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=OracleDB)(SERVER=DEDICATED)));

I get the following error when trying to run the Advisor (Application Builder > Application xxx > Utilities > Advisor) over our application:
Unknown type! View: APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_PROC Column: CONDITION_EXPRESSION1 Value: WHEN_ANY_ITEM_IN_COMMA_DELIMITED_LIST_OF_PAGES_HAS_CHANGED
... this happens every time, even if I uncheck all boxes except one (e.g. "References with substitution syntax").
I'm wondering if there is something wrong with our Apex installation as I can't see any other references to this problem in the forum. We don't seem to be suffering any other problems so I expect it's something small...
Has anyone else ever encountered this and does anyone know of a solution? I would like to use the Advisor for some QA processes as it looks like a handy tool.

very interesting. Looks like one of your processes uses the WHEN_ANY_ITEM_IN_COMMA_DELIMITED_LIST_OF_PAGES_HAS_CHANGED condition which has been deprecated for a very long time.
If you execute the following query in your workspace schema, you should find those processes which do use the condition. You might want to check if the reported pages/processes are still used in your application.

Error when trying to run an application that worked when built with 8.6

I have a simple program that I wrote in version 8.6 that I never had a problem building and running applications built with it in 8.6. Two weeks ago I got 2009 in the mail because we had very recently purchased 8.6 and I am getting errors when trying to run an application built with the same code using 2009. The error has to do with the Mean.vi. It claims it cannot find it. The error I get reads as follows:
An error occurred loading VI 'NI_AALBase.lvlib:Mean.vi'. LabVIEW load error code 3: Could not load front panel. I don't need access to this vi's front panel, so I am wondering if it is a problem with the runtime engine and not my code. Please respond as soon as possible as this will quickly start to impact my testing schedule. Thank You.

I discussed it with my local NI technical support team. The application works without any problems now.
Basic rule: when creating an installer be sure that option "Run Time Engine xxxx" in "Additional Installers" category is checked in spite of the fact that Run Time Engine is already installed.
