Aperture 3.4.5 crashing when switching the "Language&Text" preferences

Question

Are you seeing the same? I am having this problem on both MBPs and my iMac, MacOS X 10.8.4.
Switching the "Language & Text" System Preferences  - either the language or the region settings (date and time) frequently will crash Aperture. It happened just now again, when I switched the Region from Germany to Australia.

Does Aperture work correctly, when you sign into a different user account, for example the "Guest" account? That would confirm, that something in your regular account needs fixing.
Then try to trash the Preferences again, and this time also
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture/
Have you logged out and on again, after trashing the Preferences, before you try to restart Aperture? If you do not do that, the trashing may not have any effect.
But if Aperture does not work properly from a different account either, reinstall your operating system. It should suffice to use the Combo Installer:   OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.5 (Combo)
