Aperture 3 - custom keywords are not searcheable

Hi,
I used to use keywords in Aperture 2 extensively - I'm a cycling photographer and I add the relevant keywords to cyclists' photos. Given that I have over 100 keywords, I used to use the search function to find the rider I needed. When upgraded to Aperture 3, this stopped working and it only searches among the default keywords, but not my custom ones. Has anyone encountered this problem and if yes, what's the solution?

That should certainly work.
I just tested with my library and added the keyword 'Wout van Aert'.
The I could find it easily in the Keywords HUD:
The keywords are stored in your Aperture library in internal propertylist files. If the HUD cannot search the keywords properly, these library items may be incorrect.
Make a test - create a new Aperture library and add a few images. Define a few keywords. Does this work in a new library?
If yes, then use the Library First Aid Tools to repair your Aperture library, or to rebuild, if necessary.
see Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library.
To repair or rebuild your Aperture library
Close Aperture, if it’s open.
Locate the Aperture library you want to fix, then hold down the Command and Option keys while double-clicking the Aperture library.
The Aperture Library First Aid dialog appears.
To repair the permissions of the files within your Aperture library: Select Repairing Permissions.
To rebuild your database from scratch: Click Rebuild Database.
Before rebuilding, make sure you have a current backup.

I assume you have config/com/training/club/tools/myCustomRepository.properties component. /com/training/club/tools/ is your path of component from config.

Bridge New keywords are not shown on startup

Hi,
I have some images, (in folder X) which I tagged with NEW keywords I created.
When I reopen bridge, these new keywords are not shown by default.
In ordert to see the above keyword, in the keyword panned, i have to navigate to folder X.
Is this a normal behavoure for bridge?
Is there a way to show all the new user ekywords on startup?
I am working with bridgew CS6, win7 x64.

I think you use Photoshop or other application to add keywords?
The Bridge keyword panel offers you the option to create your own keyword list with parent keywords and sub keywords in it. You can also import an existing keyword list using the little menu icon top right in the keyword panel. And export for back up or new version and/or computer.
If you have Bridge pointed to a file the keywords do show in the list but as italic instead of normal. This means the file has a keyword that is not in the list of Bridge itself. You can make it persistent by using right mouse click on the keyword and after this it shows always in the panel regardless if you point to the file with the keyword or not.
So if you want to make the most of your search function and using keywords you should start to build your own list. This can be done in Bridge but also in a simple text application. Just try to add some different keywords with a couple of sub keywords to the metadata panel and when done use the export function. This provides you with a good example of how to make your own list in a text application that you then cam import again.
Off course before staring to create a long list in a text application be sure to start with a short list and see if importing succeeds…

I've been using iPhoto since 2001, I have over 14,000 images in the file, I use facial recognition, Places, folders, keywords and Events (did I leave anything out?). I installed Lion a couple months ago, I'm running iPhoto '11, version 9.2.1 and I'm not getting any error messages. When I click on View, Keywords I expect to see little boxes under each image with one or more Keywords in it. If I click on View, Info I can see the keywords in the sidebar but they never appear in the main window.

I customized workflows.But in SWEL my all customized workflows are not triggering from the last two days..Before it was working..In SWE2 also done properly and SWU3 also fine.

If you look at the details of your event linkage entry (transaction SWE2) you will find that the "Check function module" field is not empty. The function module, when executed for the event you created, raised an exception - which is the standard way for a check function module to prevent a workflow from starting.
The check function module could be one set up for a workflow start condition, namely SWB_CHECK_FB_START_COND_EVAL. If so, check the workflow start conditions for your workflow (transaction SWB_COND).
Otherwise, examine the check function module's code to determine what it checks and why it prevents your workflow from starting.

PO screen custom fields are not in correct order

Hi Experts,
After creating Shopping cart and purchase order successfully created.
Added my custom fields for PO structure INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSD_PO fields are visible in PO screen automatically with out adding my custom fields in PO layout /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_PO_I_BD
when i go to PO screen i can see my custom fields but all fields are not in correct order.How can my fields should be in order.
and i added two custom buttons in my PO layout for WD component /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_PO_I_BD i am not able to see my buttons?
Could you please help me out in this issues its urgent.

I've had this problem. There may be a more elegant solution, but what I do is make a playlist of the album and put the movements in the correct order in the playlist. I've also put numbers (01, 02, etc.) in front of the name of the movements. Either one works.

I expected that customer invoices posted from SD were transferred to the ledger but they do not.
Does anybody know how to get customer's invoices from SD transferred to the ledger?

Customer prices are not coming correctly!!!

Hi Experts,
Question: "Changes made in customer prices in ECC, how it gets replicated to ECO ISA application?".
We have maintained customer specific condition records in ECC. Also, list prices have been maintained in product catalog.
WIth replication of product catalog to TREX, we can see latest list prices in webshop product catalog.
But changes done in customer specific pricing condition records are not appearing in web shop.
Now, If we restart VMC then we can see latest customer prices in web shop. But this is not solution as we cannot restart VMC on every change of customer pricing condition record.
Please explain process on how webshop access customer pricing condition records?
(We know that webshop gets prices with using pricing procedure determination using rfc call, then why it could not able to access correct condition record after change in condition record?).

When publishing to PDF, the File Info keywords are not appearing in adobe bridge?

When I generate a PDF from Framemaker 9, the File Info can be seen when I open the PDF and look in Properties. However, if I look for the keywords using Adobe Bridge, they are not recognized. Is there something I have to do to make them visible in Adobe Bridge?

With LR 3.4.1 my keywords are not saved to file

Since upgrading to LR 3.4.1 my keywords are no longer saved to the files so I can not see them in an external application. If I revert back to LR 3.3 it works OK. Any ideas?
I have the option set to automatically write changes into XMP.
I tried to write metadata to files manually and that does not work either.
The files are .jpg
I'm using a Windows 7 32bit PC.

External drives often have special ACLs on them that can cause access problems for some apps. All it takes is for Lr to change how it accesses file and file metadata (even a change that made it more "correct" -- i.e., a bug fix for some other problem) and it can uncover ACL issues.
I don't know what you would have to do on Windows to remedy this, but on a Mac, I would make sure that the drive is setup to be "shared" so it has additional special ACLs on it that allow ownership to be taken.
But, you want to start at the root of the drive, and reset ALL the ACLs (NOT just the "permissions" which are older, simulated and incomplete settings, and making sure to recurse through the entire folder structures) such that the owner/creator and admins have full control. There may be other special ACLs required if you want to share this disk with different users on different machines. This part I am not familiar with, but it comes up often on Windows support sites. Look or people having similar problems with Windows remote disk services.
Remember, if you have a login on two different Windows machines (assuming you do not have some sort of network-wide login) this is technically two different users (even if they have the same name).

Changes in custom.css are not displayed on iPad

I'm using a custom.css file in my Analysis Application.
Changes in this CSS-file are immediately shown in my design in Design Studio and when executed on the BI Platform.
However, these changes are not displayed when I run the application in SAP BusinessObjects Mobile on iPad.

If you make changes to your custom css file and reupload the file to your BIP and then open the report, does it help if your clear your browser's cache and reload the report again, do you see the css changes then?
So instead of restarting the APS just clear the Browser Cache. The changes will be seen only in the browser and for the user who has cleared his browser cache.
If you want to disable css caching there are different options available in general but with Design Studio only some of them can be implemented: you could configure your web server (for example Apache) to force refresh of cached data for example by setting some header parameters/values or with some other method.
(just take into notice the performance implications of such a setting: the best option would be to force the reloading of the css file only when it changes and only for files that are changed, not for all css files all the time)

UWL custom attributes are not retreived

We are trying to add some custom attributes to our UWL. We are able to see the new columns but they remain null. It seems that the values are not retrieved from the backend.
We have tried defining custom attributes from workflow container, from BOR object and even UM but without success.

Custom attributes are not showing up the data

Hi,
I added couple of custom fields in UWL.
I followed the following blog .

It is showing up the columns but there is no field values(data). It is with ECC system EHP4 and portal on EHP1.
I used the business objectZBUS2078(copied from BUS2078).
I tried to use the wizard too. Same problem. I tried to retrieve existing standards fields too (Description, priority kind) still the values are not getting populated. But standard fields are working. The same standard fields when I tried to use as custom they are showing blank.
Any Ideas. Am I missing any thing.

This feature was indeed removed. R&D felt like it caused more confusion than benefit, and I agree. I do apologize to you and others who liked the feature that has now disappeared. When DIAdem 9.0 released the custom properties in the Data Portal showed their data types, but that feature was also removed in favor of simplicity. I often miss that feature, but it's for the greater good.

Which jdev version?
check if your templates appear in the pagetemplate-metadata.xml file. This file should be build when you've build the templates.

Customs components are not updated on the scene

Hello!
i am working on a simple component, it is a movie clip.
On each frames I have a label and an icon.
In the component properties I set up a list where every itemshas the same title as the frames's labels.
With this component I can set any icon I want by selecting it in the list.
This is working fine and I am pretty happy about it.
The Problem:
If I change the name of one item in the list, add one or even reorder the list, the changes are not applied on all the components presents on the scene.
and I have more or less 50 of thoses components in my scene...
Is there a way to have the components updated ? Or at least update manually all the "old" components?
this issue occure with Flash CS5 and CS6 all my doccuments are made in AS3.
