Aperture 3 failed installation help!

Hey,
I'm trying install the aperture 3 trial to test it out as an alternative to lightroom but it just wont install correctly. All I get is a warning "Installation failed" and no other further information. Below is the crash report when I try to open the incorrectly installed program.
Dyld Error Message:

What does this mean? I removed all plugins that I had before installation (nik software).
Thanks!

When I try installing, it puts the program in my apps folder and when I try to open it I receive this error. I don't understand it.

  • **HELP!** FAILED INSTALLATION!!

Hello, i tried to install leopard on my mac book pro and it failed installation to an upgrade it said to restart and re-try installation. So i re-installed w/ the upgrade option and it works, now when it restarts it just has the apple logo come up and a loading signal and its like stuck in that mode. Is it because it failed the first time? Someone please advise what to do because I have very important files on the computer and I cannot lose them, is there a way to fix this without sending it in to apple since I use it everyday for school work? If someone could reply soon I'd appreciate it, i need to know by tonight, thank you!

After HD failure, managed to resurrect computer with OSX10.4.11 on a new 500GB PATA drive. Once almost everything was working (couldn't send email despite settings being same as Macbook Pro running Leopard) I decided to update to Leopard
On first attempt - the installation failed saying HD was wrong format. Using Disk utility confirmed that no permissions errors and that it was Mac OS Extended (Journaled) which I thought was correct.
Second attempt and this HD now has Yellow triangle with Exclamation mark stating that I cannot install on this HD.
I have another new 500GB PATA drive which I can slot into the computer. I was advised about partitioning to 2x250GB. What type of install ought I to do bearing in mind that I have spent many hours resurrecting the OSX 10.4.11 software with settings etc.
Another issue is that 2 of the existing HDs are no longer readable. They are detected in Disk Utility, but no longer display Volume name. When I restart computer, it gives the following dialogue box
    Disk Insertion
The disk you inserted was not readable by the computer
Then 3 buttons: Initialize, Ignore or Eject
So far I have been pressing Ignore as I do not want to wipe data. Mac Help hasn't been able to when searching for Disk Insertion or Initialize or Initialise.
Your issue is not similar and you should start a new thread since the original poster's problem is solved.
It is always best to start a new thread rather than add to an existing one with a new problem/issue. It only confuses the responses, since nobody can tell to whom they are directed.

  • Homesite5.0 fails installation in vista

homesite5.0 fails installation right away after giving me
    error:
in function sdcomponenttree unable to create dialog
then gives me a blank error box
then a series of blank abort/retry/ignore boxes throughout
    installation
creates start menu dir, but no shortcut
does not copy files, does not create program files dir.
tried running as administrator, tried setting setup file to
    xp compatibility to no avail.
anyone have experience with this problem?

Hi Bill, yes, I can do that. Created one several levels deep.
I assume you mean HS is running on Vista. It's not clear if you're
problem is in creating that directory on RDS remote host (from a HS
client running Vista) or specifically in also creating the
directory on an RDS remote host (or localhost) running Vista. I was
able to create a directory several levels deep on both a remote
machine (not running Vista) and my localhost running Vista, both
    via RDS.
I'll add, FWIW, that I'm running HomeSite+ 5.5 (not HomeSite
5.0). If you (or others) really are still on 5.0, there's at least
    a free update to HS 5.2 (
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/resourcecenter/resourcecenter.cfm?pagename=hs%5F52%5Fupdater& loc=en%5Fus&)
To update to HS 5.5, it would cost a HS 5.0 customer US$29.
    More at
    http://www.adobe.com/products/homesite/productinfo/upgrade/
That said, no release of HS specifically lists Vista as
supported (see the requirements page, which lists Win2k3 as tha
    latest OS specifically supported):
    http://www.adobe.com/products/homesite/productinfo/systemreqs/
I'll point out as well that if one has Dreamweaver 8, that
includes HomeSite+ 5.5 free on the CD (you use the DW license to
    register it).
If anyone would ask about the difference between HomeSite and
HomeSite+, I'd point you to a blog entry I did (one of many, by
myself and others over the years):

  • Failed installation: How to rerun Adobe Application Manager updates for Photoshop CS6

    Hi.
The installation of  Adobe Extension Manager CS6 failed - while 2 others update for Photoshop CS6 did intall. I was installing Adobe Reader X .
That's why I discovered the notication from the application manager about updates for CS6 - and I just confirmed that as well.
Apparently the Reader installation blocked only the update installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 - saying another installation process was running ... such stuff happens sometimes.
However, it seems Adobes Application Manager update module does not track its failed installations? It does not automatically advertise that update has not been installed and notifiying me again to install it. At least not immediately ...
So how do I rerun the Adobe Application Manager update moduel to check for updates manually?

    You go Photoshop CS6 > Help > Updates ...

  • Photoshop Elements 4 failed installation.

I tried to install Photoshop Elements 4 on  my new Mac but the installation failed. Help!

pse 4 is not compatible with your new os.  is that the error message you see?

  • Installation help still needed Bundle 13

I have spent the better part of 2 weeks downloading & getting nowhere.  I've spent 10/21, 10/22 & 10/27 trying to get Chat help to no avail. I have at least 1 case number # 0186024139 but no one to give it to. 10/19 I first did the download with Akamai, it took hours, then "Installer failed to initialize.  Download support adviser”.  When I click & go to the page it said the support adviser is no longer available! 10/20/14 I did as I was told & went to the download trial http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=en&promoid=DJDV B, left the computer on all night downloading the Elements bundle, using the older installer, only to discover once again the "Installer failed message" and I already know that the support adviser is no longer available!
10/28 - 11/1 - I tried: “Be sure you are removing any bits of the failed installations, then try downloading from here: Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools It's an adobe-sanctioned site, but you must follow the Very Important Instructions, even when they don't seem right.” I removed everything I could find, printed out the instructions, page, turned off the security program, downloaded, I had such hopes, everything seemed fine,.then tried to install only to get then  "Installer failed to initialize.  Download support adviser”, again.  When I click & go to the page it said the support adviser is no longer available! So what do I do NOW????  It’s been 11 days, please send help!    I'm ready to give up!!!
    Thank you for your time!

  • Aperture Trial Fails to Open

I can't find an article about why Aperture would fail to open, so I apologize if this is a well known problem.
I have a mac mini core solo with 2 gb of memory and 10.4.8. I installed the trial from the website and following that, the application fails to launch the first time. When opened, the icon appears for half a bounce and disappears again.
I've run the compatibility checker which suggested no problems. I've also attempted to install the 1.5.1 update even though I know I'm not supposed to. The result was the same.
I tried uninstalled and reinstalling and even app-zapping and reinstalling with no change.
So, does anyone have any ideas? I'm not convinced the issue is that I have a mac mini. I'm thinking it may be an incompatibility with another software that's installed, but I have too many to list here.
Mac Mini Intel Core Solo   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   2gb RAM

I did actually try that. After I installed 1.5.1 the first time just to see what happened, then tried uninstalling and app-zapping - I went back to square one and got a new img and trial code. No luck there either.
    (but thanks for the help)

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
If nothing above helped, restart your router.
No data is lost due to a reset.

my final cut is running extremely slow after having for 6 months.  I use external hard drives and save nothing on my computer.  it takes a long time to render now. do you think something is wrong with computer. took it to mac store but they fail to help me.  I have a 13 inch mac book pro 10.6.8 8gb 2.3 gfz intel core i5

What did Apple tell you about what they did (or did not) find here?
See if working on the main disk is any faster.
USB2 is glacial, as I/O interconnects go.  And USB2 disks have been known to fail, or sometimes to drop back to USB1 speeds, too.  FireWire 800 is substantially faster than USB2, but still not as fast as the internal drive connections can provide.
Put another way, start varying your configuration, and see which configuration changes (still) have the problem, and which don't.

  • Windows 8 64-bit, failed installations and RAID 1 resync on HP ENVY h8-1520z

I recently purchased an HP Envy h8-1520z with a single SSD and 8 GB RAM running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.  I installed 2 Western Digital 500 GB WDC WD5000AAKX-001CA0 HDDs on SATA ports 5 & 6 and configured them as RAID 1 in the BIOS.  I have started installing apps on the RAID 1 array (E since the SSD is only 256 GB.
While installing software, some install fine, but often the installation hangs with no errors indicated and I have to kill the installer task through task manager.  I usually follow that with a system shutdown or restart and almost every time that results in a resync of the RAID array.  Sometimes the shutdown or restart is quick, and other times it takes several minutes with intermittent disk activity as indicated by the drive light.  I have sometimes given up after 10 minutes or so and powered down by holding down the power button.  I can understand a resync after the forced power down, but it seems that all it takes to cause a resync is a failed installation, and that seem to happen a lot, even with software that explicitly says it is Windows 8 compatible.  Sometimes the applications run fine even after an apparently failed installation and other times not so much.
Has anybody else seen this behavior or have any suggestions?  I’d like to get this sorted out before I load any more software.

    Hi,
Did you check each hard drive for straps? There should not be any straps installed on the hard drive. These drives do have strapping posts.
Did you use the AMD RaidExpert to create the array volume?  Did you wait until the RAID migration was complete before using the array volume?
Check the AMD RaidExpert for errors. It's possible that you have a bad hard drive(s).
Many applications want to be installed on the C drive.  Your SSD is 256GB so you should have plenty of space for most applications and the application performance will be improved.  Use the RAID 1 array to keep and store your data. The mirroring process of RAID 1 will protect it in case one hard drive fails.
You might want to consider removing all of the data etx.. from the array, use the AMD RAIDExpert to delete out the array volume.  I would then run for hard drive diagnostics.  If the hard drives are free from errors then use disk management to separately reformat each hard drive.  Now go back to the AMD RaidExpert and create your new array volume.
Be sure to review the software and bios updates for your PC.

  • Aperture 3 fails to open Leica D-Lux 6 RAW files

Aperture 3 fails to open Leica D-Lux 6 RAW files. Any patch coming soon?

Sorry, but we don't know. This is a "User to User" forum - you are not talking to Apple.
You might consider to import "raw&jpeg" while you are waiting, so you will have the raw available, when the raw support will be released.
Or use the software, that came with your camera, to develope the raw and import tiff to Aperture, while you are waiting.

Hello i've been really exited to donload photoshop and so i decided to try the free version i downloaded creative cloud and went into th eapps and click on photoshop try it free i waited a few 30 mins and it stopped and told me this
installation failed installation completed through some components failed to instal correctly.
and then i was like whatttt?!?!?!?!?
so I decided to come here and ask why this is happening please answer ASAP I really need photoshop for important stuff!!!

Try restarting your computer, then try again. Awhile back, some of the apps which I think included photoshop require the microsoft runtime to be updated. That runtime requires a restart to finish installing. But since it is a piggyback program, the error code telling you do so is hidden in the log file.
If it still does not install let us know.
