Aperture 3 How do I password protect my library/folders!? Tried everything but also no good at this type of thing!! ty

I have looked at previous posts but can not find a way of password protectin an entire folder.
I have photos on my Macbook that I dont want my 7 year old to see. If necessary I will move my photos (if possible) to another application but I really do need to make sure they cant be seen!!
I know it sounds dodgy lol - its not that bad!!

This requires a three-step process:
1) turn off "log in automatically" in Accounts/Users & Groups > Login options.
2) create a new non-Admin Account (Users and Groups) for your youngster, and add a photo of his face to it so even a non-Reader can find it. Password is optional for their account.
3) System Preference > security > [√] Require a password nnn minutes after screen saver or inactivity.
This keeps snoopers out if you walk away.
Once your youngster has their own account, they can change the screen to purple or whatever they want with no impact on you. They get their own Desktop, and can clutter it or not as they see fit.
You can also activate "Parental Controls" to slightly restrict their access in other ways.

password protected.It's really not clear to me what you're really trying to do, or at what level you're trying to protect at. Your last sentence ("on shutdown...") seems to imply you are after OS-level protection. This is something outside the scope of Java and will depend on your targeted platform.

The best I can figure out is that if you post your movie to the Gallery, but do not select the option to "Show project on Web Gallery home page," the video will not show on your home page for random visitors. Till today whatever i got is this------
In java there is no way to make a password protected zip...java.util.zip package does not support this thing...
To do this we require Third party API---
Two third party Api i got...
one is "CHILKAT API for java"
and another one is "IPWORKS"http://www.componentsource.com/products/ipworks-zip-java-desktop/index.html
but both of these API are paid...
Even this problem has been reportd as bug in the bug database....
And the other way is related with Class Process Builder of java...
If someone knows more about this then tell me...

I purchased the paid PDF product in order to add password protection to existing PDFs or docx, but I still don't see an option for how to add it. I tried creating Docx and then creating PDF- but never got the option to add a password or security of any kind.

On the File menu, click Save As.
On the Tools menu, click General Options.
Do either or both of the following:
If you want users to enter a password before they can view the workbook, type a password in the Password to open box, and then click OK.
If you want users to enter a password before they can save changes to the workbook, type a password in the Password to modify box.
NOTE   Unlike passwords you specify in the Password to open box, passwords you specify in the Password to modify box are not encrypted. These passwords are only meant to give specific users permission to modify workbook data. For optimal password security, it's best to assign both passwords. An encrypted password to access the workbook, and one to provide specific users with permission to modify its content. IMPORTANT   Use strong passwords that combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Weak passwords don't mix these elements. Strong password: Y6dh!et5. Weak password: House27. Use a strong password that you can remember so that you don't have to write it down.
If you want to use a different encryption type, click Advanced, click the type you want in the Choose an encryption type list, and then click OK.
If needed, specify the number of characters you want in the Choose a key length box.
NOTE   Document property encryption is enabled by default for most encryption types and providers. It prevents unauthorized users from viewing summary and custom file properties (such as the author or any custom file information) in theProperties dialog box. When users right-click the password-protected file, and then click Properties, information won't be available on the Summary tab and Customtab. Authorized users, however, can open the file and view all file properties (Filemenu, Properties command). To disable document property encryption, clear theEncrypt document properties check box.
Click OK.
When prompted, retype your passwords to confirm them.
Click Save.
If prompted, click Yes to replace the existing workbook.
NOTE   You can also secure a workbook with a password on the Security tab of the Options dialog box (Tools menu, Options command).

Adnan,
One way to do this is to use Disk Utility to make a password protected disk image of the folder(s) that you need to secure. This is probably the easiest way to do it.
Go to Disk Utility and choose "New Image" and select encryption.

Another alternative is she can select tracks from your library copy and just add them to her library. Then she does not have to bother with switching between two libraries.

Password protect files and folders Creative Cloud Files

I know this feature has been requested a number of times, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether or not the ability to password protect files and folders for sharing purposes is in the works? It appears to be a glaring omission to me, particularly as Adobe's vision for the Creative Cloud encompasses the corporate world, where security is obviously of great importance.
Any news would be welcome.

Which version of iPhoto did you upgrade from? What happens when you try to launch iPhoto? Do you get any warnings, when iPhoto upgraded the library?

Where did you store your iPhoto library? On an external drive or your system drive?
iPhoto will create a new, empty library, if it cannot open or find your previous iPhoto library.
If you upgraded from iPhoto '08 or earlier, the iPhoto library needs to be prepared with iPhoto Library Upgrader. See this link: iPhoto '11: About the Library Upgrader
If you got error messages during the upgrade of the library, restore your iPhoto Library from your most current backup.
