Aperture crashes after a minute or so every time opened
The last time I tried uploading photos from a memory card, it got halfway through, then stopped with a n error message saying it couldn't upload anymore due to an error (I can't recall the exact wording of the message)
Since then, if I try to open Aperture, after about 30 seconds the beachball appears, it closes, and the message pops up that Aperture has just unexpectedly closed, asking if I want to relaunch. Of course if I relaunch, the same thing happens. I've tried rebooting the macbook, but it still does the same thing. Applecare is closed here in Canada today (civic holiday) - any suggestions?
Which photos?
All the photos I've already uploaded to Aperture are stored in the Aperture library (I presume), so I don't see how I can open them with iPhoto or Finder. Is there a way of doing so?
I could try uploading the photos in my camera's memory card to iPhoto, but I am more concerned about the 900 or so photos I uploaded a few days ago, that I was able to view and edit in Aperture - I don't want to lose those.

Did you try reinstalling Lightroom 4?

My safari keeps crashing after one minute + microsoft word won't open
Hey,
I'm having some trouble with my safari crashing very soon after it opens every single time I open it. I'm not very mac-savvy so i'm not sure what the problem could be. After a while my microsoft word stopped opening, is this related? The Word thing happened after i did a safari & itunes update, may it have been affected by this? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated!! Here's my crash report:

although the exact location is indicated in your crash report as quoted above - look under 'Binary Images'.
Close Safari and delete them, then restart Safari and it should be working normally. Alternatively drag them to the desktop and restart Safari. then add them back one at a time, restarting Safari every time, until you find the one (or more) causing the crash.
Check with the developers of the plug-ins in question for updates that are Safari 5 compliant. -
ITunes crashes after one minute, exactly.
I've logged in with shift pressed, I've disabled funky system preferences modules, yet it hasn't helped. After launching iTunes, it crashes after *exactly* 60 seconds. Every single time.

Sometimes with a different amount of UTF8-errors.
So, my thinking is bad iTunes database? Is there some strangly named song perhaps? But the rub is that it's always occuring exactly one minute after I've launched iTunes. How could that even be? It only occurs on my iTunes, when I log in as another user, no such problem.Any audio enhancement software on that Mac (e.g. Boom or Hear)? Or custom visualizers for iTunes?

Same thing happens when i click restart.
No difference when i run it in Safe mode. And it won't let me create a new profile either. Is there anyway else i can extract my bookmarks? This is driving me crazy!Did the crash reporter send any crash reports?<br />

Hello. For the past 2 days my imac (running 10.7.5) is consitently crashing with a panic attack after roughly 15 minutes of booting up. I have done Disk Utility several times, i have even used time machine and back up to a day prior to the problem beginning. I can boot in safe mode with no problems yet when i go back to normal boot i crash after 15 minutes. i need help further diagnosing the problem.
The only new things i have done recently is:
1. Begun using Time Machine 3 days prior to the problem.
2. updated itunes and received an error for an extension at the end of the install.

Having upgraded from iPhoto 11 to iPhoto 2.0 (531) it now loads but crashes after a minute or so and none of the buttons work. Can anyone help please.

That depends. I have not seen your crash log.
The problem is, that the current Aperture installer is buggy. Depending on the Aperture version you are upgrading from, some frameworks may not be installed correctly. The installer erraniously assumes they are already installed. That is why the suggested fix is to reinstall from an early version, so the installer is forced to install everything new.
Your plist contains your webaccounts, recent files, the layout of the Gui. If one of these settings prompts Aperture to use ine of the missing frameworks, it will crash. For most people here it is the Facebook setting. Removing the preferences makes Aperture forget that you have a Facebook account. If you add that account again, Aperture probably will crash again.

From what i understand i see that - Cookies are not transferred between your website and your webapp when installing the icon on the home screen (for authentication purposes for example). It was working until 6.1 and now it’s not working anymore.

after i upgrade to mavericks, every time i create folder or delete files, they keep asking me ti fill the password, but only on my finder? help me please Thank You
As a first step, open Disk Utility > select your hard drive > repair disk permissions.

Since yesterday I am facing problem,when it goes in sleep mode it actually turn off and does not come up after pressing start button but every time I have to hard reset it to turn it on .It is 4 gen running on 4.3.3.Please help
so I have called HP tech support 12 times over the last 6 weeks and still my HP Officejet 4620 loses connection overnight. Of course becasue it was a birthday present I spent more time than I normally would have on this issue. While the tech are very polite they have not fixed my problem and now it is too late to return printer to store. This is a lot of money wasted and I think they need to admit this is a bug in this printer and resolve the problem!!!!!

I have Mozilla Firefox installed, w/. my Home Page setup to be opened on It every time. I can open a new window on It too, but when I open a new tab, every time open this new tab w/. Untitled Page. I wanna It opening w/. my Home Page.
Firefox is coded to open new tabs in a blank page. That may change in Firefox 4. I don't know.
In the meantime, there is an add-on called Tab Mix Plus that I think provides that option. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122/ -
My new iPad quit recognizing my password after two days. I have tried five times to restore it and every time it seems to be working ok (downloading) and then it tells me that iTunes can't recognize my iPad without entering my password. Of course it no longer recognizes my password so there is no way out of this catch-22. The tech support member in the chat room suggested using my old laptop running windows 7 instead of my new iMac retina 27.*
Hi Go to Settings Restore back to Factory settings. Since ios 7 everything can be done over your WiFi You don't need to use your PC unless you have lost your Firmware. Try Restore over your WiFi. Use same password Apple ID. Cheers Brian

Edge Animate CC 2014.1 keeps crashing after about 10 minutes of working. I have to be very careful when importing layers, or anything I do, pretty much. It's like walking on thin ice every time I work on it. I'm working on something with a deadline and it is hindering my progress greatly.

Lunaaibun So... it just happened again. This time, I was just moving an image position. Apparently the heavy black shadow around the alert box means Edge Animate keeps generating alert boxes infinitely (screenshot below).
It's really strange. My MacBook is brand new so I couldn't think of any internal causes.
