APERTURE DISABLED BY MOBILE ME

An upgrade to MobileMe has disabled my Aperture Application. It will not open and only wants to make a new MobileMe album.
Have tried reinstalling, updates to 2.0 , removed and re-set Aperture System ID,Viewers are all muted etc.
Anyone with an idea?

Since there have been no replies to my original question, I'm thinking this is just the way Aperture works. It's easy to select a group of images and click on the Mobile Me icon to create a Mobile Me gallery containing the selected images. However if you first create a Web Page or Web Journal, and drag images into it, chose a theme, add text etc, and publish to Mobile Me it publishes as a web page to your iDisk in the Sites folder, I think. The problem as I see it is that if you don't remember the URL, it's hard to display the web page, and as far I know, you can't display the web page using Mobile Me. I mistakenly thought the web page would show up as a link within my Mobile Me galleries or be displayed there along with other galleries. This is obviously not the case. Is there a way to integrate web pages created in Aperture with iWeb? Has anyone done this? Or is it easier to publish web pages to other hosting sites?

  • How to disable Lightroom Mobile?

I don't want to use Lightroom Mobile. Every time when i start Lightroom the "getting started windows" of Lightroom Mobile pops up. Any idea how to permanently disable Lightroom Mobile and/or getting rid of the annoying gettting started window?

    Janick,
As a Creative Cloud member (free user) you get free 30 day trial to Lightroom mobile.
If you dont want to use you can leave the Lightroom trial as it is.
If you want to delete the files if they are synced by chance follow the steps as below:
To remove all your photos from Lightroom mobile, select Delete All Data from the Lightroom mobile preference panel. This option also deletes the files that control Lightroom mobile, all metadata and collection data and removes all images from the cloud. Photos on your desktop computer aren't deleted and remain in your desktop catalog.

Let me know if you need more help on this.

  • Aperture 3 and Mobile Me Gallaries

I'm using the trial version of Aperture 3 and tried to create a Mobile Me Gallery. I created the gallery within Aperture and published it. However it seems to be published to: http://homepage.mac.com/username. As a result it doesn't show up in in the Mobile Me Gallery which has the domain: http://gallery.me.com/username. Is there any way to publish a Web Gallery/Journal directly to Mobile Me? If one selects a single photo, or a group of photos, and clicks the Mobile Me icon in Aperture's toolbar, it publishes correctly to Mobile Me. My settings for Mobile Me is System preferences are correct. Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • How do I disable the Mobile features of my user account?

I recently and accidentally activated the mobile features to my account here at work. Since then, links to volumes have changed and I'm not sure what else has changed on my account. I was actually trying to setup screen sharing between my personal Macbook and my Work iMac, but failed. Can someone help me to disable that feature on my account? Also, why are the Mobile account settings grayed out?

I also can't access my organizations server anymore.

  • I'm using aperture 3 and mobile me to set up galleries which I send to friends. My question. Will icloud allow me to do the same or will i lose this function when mobile me closes down in July.

I'm using aperture 3/mobile me to set up photo galleries which I send to friends. My question. Will icloud allow me to do the same or will I lose this function when mobile me closes down in July. If this function isn't part of icloud does anybody have any suggestions how I can do this in future through aperature. Thank you

You will have to find a new hosting service for your galleries, when MM is gone; but you will still be able to create the galleries with Aperture. Export them to your disk and upload them via FTP to your new hosting service.

  • Aperture 3 and Mobile User Accounts: Don't even think about it

    Hi all.
This is more a warning to other with a similar setup than anything else.
I use both a desktop mac and a portable.
As so, and since I have a Mac Mini Server, my user is what Apple calls a "Mobile User".
Basically what it does is this: it allows me to have my user on both macs always in sync.
To be certain that no file would be locked out by an open app, I have it to sync on login and logout only.
Strangely enough Apple own Aperture 3 doesn't sync.
It simply shows a generic error and that's it.
I call tell that I've made some extensive tests regarding the syncing process and no matter what it never works.
It doesn't matter if Aperture is closed, if the syncing is made on the login or the logout... nothing!
As a curiosity, not directly related with this specific problem, I can also confirm that the full library package is seen as a single file to the sync agent, so even a simple open and close of the app is enough to make it try to re-sync the entire thing, instead of doing the proper thing and copy only the modified files inside of it.
That means that even without this error it would be inpratical to work with Aperture 3 since that would mean having a nice library of quite a few gigabytes syncing every time that I tried to log out of my user session.
I sure hope that Apple can find a way to make their own pro photo app and their server software work together.
But until there... it's back iPhoto for me.
    Take care all.
    Pedro Fardilha

I don't have problems syncing other files that are also system packages, like iPhoto ones... although I have a terrible suspicion that again the sync agent only sees a single file, not a bundle.
I assume that the OS doesn't have any problem with packages since they are used pretty much elsewhere and they are basically a folder with a specific file inside that "forces" the OS to show us as a single file, instead of letting us see directly the content.
Even the new disk image format that Apple recommends to be used in order to speed up Time Machine backups (.sparcebundle) is based in package (or bundles, whatever you prefer to call them)
The main issue here might be the folder structure inside.
If you do a "show package content" and, for instance, check the thumbnails folder, I can easily see some chars that might create some confusion if not properly escaped during the sync, like on this example:
    My Aperture.aplibrary/Thumbnails/%pARYo%fT52I77jmdf8mqQ/AP.Thumbnails
(Those "%" are so prone to errors if not properly handled)
Time Machine doesn't have any problem with both packages and those chars, so I truly hope that they use TM tech and improve the way that the syncing agent work.
Anyways, Aperture seemed a nice app.
I'm really sad that I can't use it because of this... specially when I'm considering getting a new digital camera.
I understand that it was recently released so let's hope that Apple can figure out what's happening and release an update (to either Aperture or Mac OS X Server) in the next few months.
    Take care.

  • I disabled "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" in Windows

I did this because my device wasn't charging and I was trying (still am trying) to solve that problem.
But once I disabled the "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" under the Device Manager the device didn't dhwo up with an "X" next to it it just went away. And now when I plug in ipods it will not show up at all!
I even booted into safe mode expecting to see more drivers there and I still didn't see the apple one to re-enable it. I should have deleted it then it would have just come back on a re-boot!
    Anyone have any suggestions?

Re-installing the apple mobile device support under add and remove programs fixed this issue. Found this after many iTunes re-installs.
Still have a charging issue. I will post that in a different message.

  • Disabled User, Mobile-Device (Active Sync) still has Access 24h after disabling Account

    Hello,
    i encountered following issue:
I disabled an User in AD, but the mobile devices of the corresponding User still had access even 24h after disabling the account (iphone 5s, Blackberry Q10). My predecessor was known to abuse some access rights (suspicious gpos, phantom users with way to
    many rights, private folder access...).
    Our System: Windows 2008 R2 + Exchange 2010 SP3
Are there any hidden settings (in Exchange powershell, ADSI-Settings etc...) to extend the access-validity of mobile devices?
Or is this a normal behaviour?
    Thank you and best regards,
    Georg

The best way to stop a user from accessing their email via a mobile device when the account is going to be disabled is to go to their account and remove Active Sync from their mailbox.  To do so, go to Recipient Configuration, Mailboxes, properties
of the user, Mailbox Features and disable Exchange ActiveSync.  then disable the user.  Force Active Directory replication as well. Then the disabled user should no longer have access.   You can even remove device partnerships or wipe their
    device as well.

  • Having trouble disabling PHD (mobile accounts)

    Hi,
I'm using SL server and clients, with a 'magic triangle' configuration. I created a group in Worhgroup Manager with some mobility preferences assigned (create mobile account, sync home folder on login, log-off and background)
I wanted to turn this off, so deleted the group in Workgroup manager. But the users that were in this group still behaving like mobile accounts.
Is there a folder/file in their home directory I need to trash in order to refresh the workgroup settings?
    I'm a bit confused!
    Thanks
    Tom

    Hi,
I'm having the same problem - same error at least. I haven't migrated any users, but this is a fresh 10.4.11 Server. All clients are 10.5.6. I'm not using mobile users. My users have home directories on the server. Every user receives the error you describe. I've scoured the web, found several suggestions, but no descriptive answers.
There are many people with this issue, but it seems that once they get it resolved they're not posting solutions. Or, at least not clear ones.
The steps I've followed in Work Group Manager (WGM) include:
    1) Insuring that the Users folder can be mounted and can be shared.
    2) That for each user's home folder, the permission are set using the access control list (ACL).
    3) That the WGM computer lists include your machines and that they are set to always manage.
    4) Unbind the clients from the Open Directory (OD) server, clear the Directory Utility (DU) preferences on each client. Reboot. Rebind to OD.
    5) The server is responding normally when checking DU. Users can authenticate when using client-based home directories.
    Have you reached a conclusion?
    Thank you.

  • Mobile Me Gallery Login & Password using Aperture

I recently migrated my entire iPhoto library to Aperture and I have a few questions.
    1. How can I tell if an Album in Aperture is a Mobile Me Album?
    2. Where can I find the Username and Password info. for each of my already existing Mobile Me Albums?
    3. In iPhoto I seem to remember an easy way to Invite someone to view an album with a Username and Password but I don't see that in Aperture. Does this exist?
    Thanks!

Hen you migrate, all your Mobile Me albums turn into regular albums. To make them Mobile Me albums again, select the album and pick File>New>MobileMe album. It's going to ask you if you just want one photo, you should pick all.
Afterwards, you will be disappointed with how Aperture handles updates to your Mobile Me albums. Also, you will be creating an entirely new MobileMe album because I have yet to figure out how to migrate MobileMe albums to Aperture.

Hi there when I start move mobile me to aperture my mac goes to crash: what do I have to do?

Try to download your MobileMe content from your me.com web page:
Ope your System Preferences, then select the "Mobile Me" pane / Accounts panel.
There press the "Visit Me.com" button and download your Mobile Me contents. Then sign out of Mobile Me.
When you relaunch Aperture and the "Mobile Me" has been discontinued panel pops up don't use the "ok" button, but click the "Learn more" button. Ignore the web page, and open the Aperture preferences.
In the "Web > Accounts" tab of the preferences remove the "Mobile Me" account.

  • Z3 Compact using mobile data even when disabled.

    Hey there,
my new z3 compact is connecting to the mobile internet every 3 hours and causing costs! Mobile data is disabled in the setting and in the quick menu. WIFI is available all the time. In the settings it shows 0MB of volume for all apps. Besides the preinstalled apps and widgets I use only some apps wich are well known and can be trusted.
Now how can I see wich app/widget is connecting? And who pays my bills?? It seems I cannot trust my device and I dont like that idea.
Any advice? The Support didnt help much - told me to reset and wait for the next bill to see if it worked...
    Gabriel

If you can't access some live statistics from your mobile operator at least you can try this.
Go into Settings / Power / Battery Usage.
There will be a graph showing battery discharge ratio and list of all apps using power below.
When you click on the app (yes, I know it will be annoying) for some of them there will be "Mobile data sent" and "Mobile data received".
For example in my phone under "Android OS" I have -
CPU total 1 hour 1 minute
    CPU main - 16 seconds
    Keep active - 9m 59s
    Data received - 6,34kB
    Data sent - 14,14 kB
    Wifi received - 484 bytes
    Wifi sent - 531 bytes.
Check every single app on the list. Maybe you will find it there. I suspect Google Play Services. Someone on the forum mentioned that they ignore disabling auto update. Maybe Google messed something with disabling mobile transmission?
There is a one, very hard way to disable accessing mobile network data if you don't need that.
Head over to Settings / More / Cellular Networks / Access points name (APNs).
There will be APN for your data transfers and for MMS. Leave MMS alone but delete data APN. You will be able to configure it again manually but as long as there will be no APN for data transmission your phone will not be able to connect to your operator and cause costs.
