Aperture Help gives Javascript error

I just tried to open "Help" in Aperture and got this message:
"The Help Library requires JavaScript. If JavaScript is not enabled, you will not be able to view all the content."
How do I enable JavaSript?

I have also been having Javascript issues since 10.6.5 but only on my MBP. My MBA and iMac seem fine. My problem manifests itself on various websites where javascript actions on buttons just don't happen. I have been on the same sites on my MBA and iMac and these same buttons are working OK. Every time I repair permissions, there are screeds of java and javascript errors and repairs. If I then do a restart, javascript works for a short period of a minute or so and then stops. I get the same issue on Safari and Firefox. Java and javascript are turned on at both browsers. I had no javascript issues prior to 10.6.5.
I just know if I phone up Applecare, I will get the same old fatuous and lazy answer: "Have you done a clean re-install and if not, we suggest you do." Yea right, with the amount of apps I have, that will only take me 2+ days! Back in the good old days, Applecare folks knew what they were talking about and were not just reading off a list.

Portlet editor's rich text editor gives javascript error 'access denied'

I created a header portlet using the Publisher's published content portlet template. When I try to edit the portlet content using the rich text editor in the portlet editor window, I get a javascript error in the status bar stating 'access denied'. I can't even type into the rich text editor window, it's totally disabled. Not that I see anything in there anyway. I'm logged in as admin. I've gone into the publisher explorer admin portlet and even 'published' the portlet's content, but to no avail. When I try to 'add header portlet' in my experience definition and try to use this portlet, nothing shows up, where the header portlet should be is just collapsed so my banner is just the top bar view bumped right on top of the nav view. (p.s. does anyone know how to take the alui doc's suggestion of 'disabling the topbar view and nav view' so that I can construct what I want entirely in a header portlet? Anyway, first things first, how do I get that access denied message to disappear in my header portlet's rich text editor and how the heck do I get it show up? Help.

There's probably not a developer in the forum that doesn't uncheck that box the moment they rebuild their machine/ennvironment. Changing the format of error messaging is hardly a fix for the error itself. Personally, I'm uploading 'file content items' now. I create the content in notepad and then upload > file content item. Then create a portlet that uses the pre-existing (was installed w/ publisher using their pte) 'published content item' web service. Go into the portlet's settings and associate the portlet w/ the content item you uploaded. Voila.
As far as using their rich text editor to create new content, I personally have no need anymore. However I'm sure our content managers will probably have to soon so I hope our latest installation will accommodate them w/o error, because I've never been aware of an actual fix to this problem.

JSF web app gives javascript error - 'dojo is undefined' and 'webui is unde

BACKGROUND: I have created a Netbeans 6 Visual Web Project. I have also integrated my web app with RichFaces 3.1.3. My web application can be viewed properly and correctly when i deploy it on tomcat 6.
ARCHITECTURE: Our server configuration requires IIS to be our web server and tomcat to be our app server. Both are running on different machines. I have successfully linked up IIS 6 and tomcat 6 using the JK isapi_redirector.
PROBLEM: However, when i connect to my app via IIS, my starting page opens but the input box components on that page are not displayed and i get several javascript errors that read - 'dojo is undefined' and 'webui is undefined'.
Any help or advice in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I managed to find a workaround. Thought i should share it with those who are faced with a similar issue.
I found that a bug report had been placed in the past with Apache Dev. However, they had said that they would not modify their logic because the servlet container spec requires it (even though isapi_redirector is only a connector and not a container). They said that there is no way for the isapi_redirector to differentiate between /foo/WEB-INF when foo is a context and when foo is just a sub-directory of the ROOT web application. So, the general consensus was to err on the side of safety and risk blocking a few requests that are valid.
However, this causes a serious issue for those using NetBeans JSF Visual Web Projects. Hence, I created my own flavour of isapi_redirector by modifying the code such that this check is not performed and leaving the onus of checking on Tomcat.
For those who are interested, the simplest way to go about this would be to force the function uri_is_web_inf (in jk_isapi_plugin.c ) to always return FALSE.

Delete document button in ribbon gives javascript error: g is not a function

We have a default SharePoint 2010 installation. So an out of the box site template, out of the box document libraries/lists etc, out of the box theme (default one) etc.
When we check the checkbox next to a document in the shared documents library, the tab in the ribbon automatically switches to the document tab. In this tab there is a button "delete document". When I click that I get a confirmation request, I click OK,
and then I get a little yellow box in the upper right corner that tells me SharePoint is deleting the document, and then nothing happens.
The document stays where it is, no refresh of the page as SharePoint should do...
I have a javascript error, and in FireFox it tells me "g is not a function" on line 2 of the file inplview.js?rev=AohvE9XEf%2FI78tuaw1TGAA
Line 2 contains like 100 javascript functions on the same line, so it's impossible to find out which function or command throws the error.
This is not a file created by me, so I guess it comes with SharePoint and that I should not touch it.
So what do I do now?
I have another server that we use for SharePoint testing, and there the button works as it should, so it's not SharePoint either...
Problem is that we use this server to give basic SharePoint trainings to our employees, so it's not a very good start when we have to say the delete button is broken but will work in the actual production environment...

In our case the problem was caused because initially we had set the authentication to basic authentication, and then changed the setting to claims based authentication. Somehow this causes SharePoint to give errors.
I don't know if the same error occurs when you choose claims based authentication from the beginning (so without changing it after creating the web application).
In our case we had the same behavior, in the ribbon the button didn't work, but in the context menu it did work.
I don't have any other info, as I said in my previous post, I couldn't find any info on this issue on the net. We figured this one out ourselves. I don't know how to keep the claims based authentication, for us it was just a test to try out that type of
authentication. Since we were running into problems and we didn't really need it we reverted it back to basic authentication.

Help with Javascript error in event handler slowing animation down.

Hi all--
I did an animated book cover for my publisher, Baen Books, but an error keeps coming up in my animation. The actual animating can be viewed here:

As you can see, when the error pops up, the animation grinds to a halt, an it has to recover. I am not well enough versed in javascript to know what is going on. The error code below repeats over and over again as it plays.

IE9 browser helper generating javascript errors in Web Application

Hi All,
Any idea why when I record/playback my Web Application with IE9 my modal dialogs are generating javascript errors? The modal dialogs runs fine when the helpers are not running but it starts throwing script errors left and right once the helpers are active. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BPM Inbox not displayed, gives Javascript error

Hi,
I am trying to open the BPM Inbox via https://<host>:<port>/bpminbox, but it throws a Javascript error:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'dataServices' of undefined in ODataMetadata.js:13
If I remove the roles UnifiedInboxUserRole and com.sap.bpem.Enduser, the BPM Inbox is shown fine, but it states correctly I don't have the appropriate roles.
Have I missed some configuration? The standard UWL works just fine

Create Shopping Page gives Javascript Error - Sun JVM in a DMZ?

We are running on SRM 5.0, with server at 5.5 and we have just implemented SP 11. Since then, our users running IE with the Sun JVM 1.4.2_10 are getting a JavaScript error everytime an applet loads on their page (in this case, it is the applet within the Document & Attachments section). Moreover, our portal is being hosted on an SSL secured server within our DMZ, in conjunction with a Provencia IDS System, Blue Coat hardarware, RadWare, ...etc.
The only way we can make that page work, is by disabling the Sun JVM and use the MS Version of the JVM. At that point, no issue with the applet on our SSL Secured Portal. Even funnier, is that when I'm calling directly the Portal Server (without the SSL proxy), even if i run the Sun JVM, I'm not getting the error. Since we have over 1000 users, it woulde be aimpossible to have all of them making that change... We need to make that work.
Have you ever experienced something like that? If yes, what have you done to fix it? Any suggestion, OSS notes

I had enabled Full Text Serach but I have changed back to the metadata search, as the Full text search was not working as well.I am not sure if there is a collision between various searches as the Oracle Text Search was installed along with Content Server.I am trying to build some pages with new fields and the Search needs to work for that.

HIPAA transactions give JavaScript error

I am configuring HIPAA transactions 270/271 and 276/277. I uploaded the ecs file to B2B and when i test the transaction I am getting B2B-51507 error. I tested the same data in document editor and no error.
It is complaining about the JavaScripts in the guideline file. the soa version i am using is 11.1.1.3. Is their any one who successfully tested HIPAA?

When I turn off validation, it goes successful.
What I found in document editor is when i unregister the hipaa standard db from editor then I am able to see the error in document editor. This gives a clue. As per XEngine Installation README file, certain additional steps are required for XEngine installation if you are using XEngine for HIPAA validation. Raise a case with support as it may be that in default installation of SOA, HIPAA guidelines and External Code Lists (ECL) for HIPAA are not installed. Please share the SR number here.

i have been trying for awhile at this website to download multiple things at once and i keep getting a javascript:void 0 error..it did not happen until i upgraded firefox here recently..i would love for this to be fixed as i do use this site alot

Upgrade to IE7 gives JavaScript error in visual editor

Hello---
After upgrading to Internet Explorer 7, a yellow bar appears at the top of the JSP/HTML Visual Editor window saying that "This page uses JavaScript and requires a JavaScript enabled browser. Your browser is not JavaScript enabled." JavaScript is enabled in Internet Explorer. How can I make the message go away?
Please let me know if you need more information.

not sure what you are seeing there. The visual editor has nothing to do with the selected browser. If the editor in JDeveloper 11 shows such message then something else went wrong. One attempt to fix this - which works for me - is to remove the JDeveloper system.xxx directory (or rename it).

Hi there, hardworking team!
I have this terrible problem ever since I loaded DW CS6 on to my computer. I had heard amazing things about the fluid grid. And I have been searching since Feb 28th, with absolutely no response from any Adobe technical team anywhere in the existing stratosphere, including the blogosphere. Well, here goes-
Start up- Java script error popups- 5 including business analyst supposedly missing. BTW, I am using Windows SP3..
I updated my CS6 updates.
Some translator update failed to download.
This caused some extra headaches which began to pop up at periodic intervals of 0.5 seconds. It was soon a race between hand and machine and which closed/popped up faster.
and so on...
This is just part of a list of all the file errors in one huge pop up. The next one is going to have a different array depending on the action I take like when I press the modify button, or try to insert an image.
Can anyone help me please?

Javascript error when opening Tag editor

I have been using dreamweaver 8 for the last month or so. all
of a sudden a couple of days a go it started to give me the same
error every time i right clicked an input element and clicked the
'Tag Edit <Input>'.
The error reads
"While executing onLoad in input.htm, a JavaScript error
occurred."
Any ideas?
I have already tried the repair option in Add/Remove
Programs, and that didnt work
I then tried the Remove option, and then completely
reinstalled it to no prevail

PackageMaker Javascript Error

Back in May, I built a distribution package for installing a bunch of software the school (where I work) uses, like Firefox, Thunderbird, etc. I built individual installers for each thing (like one for apps to put into the Applications folders, another for other installers like Flash & Office updates, etc), then used the distribution package to make one monster installer package that I could run once and have all the updates done at once to save me a ton of time.
All summer, every time a new version of something came out, I updated the individual installer packages, then tried to update the distribution package also. However, every time I tried to install the updated distribution package on a computer, it gives this error: "There was an error while evaluating Javascript for the package."
It gives this same error for any computer (iBooks, Macbooks, iMacs, etc - all running 10.4). I tried rebuilding the distribution package from scratch at least three separate times and still get the Javascript error. I am able to use each of the individual packages, but not the distribution package. I didn't change the process from building the one back in May, so what am I doing wrong here?
