Aperture Library Importer name is not unique error

When importing my archival Aperture library into Lightroom I get the error "name is not unique:" and then the name that is not unique.
In my case the name in question isn't a project within Aperture but a Facebook album posted long ago using photos from Aperture. I haven't had my Facebook account linked to Aperture in a long time, but Lightroom throws this error now.
The published album shows up nowhere in my Aperture library. The Console app shows "1/2/15 5:22:06.979 PM Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5[13255]: Oops! An untagged string (name is not unique: In Which There Is A Flying Train_1) got thrown far enough that we display it to the user. This shouldn't happen."
One of the other Aperture libraries I imported also used to have my Facebook account on it, but it also does not have that anymore and the published albums were removed.
How can I get around this and successfully import my library?

I get the same message and then after name is not unique it says:  iPhone.  were you able to find out what the issue is?

  • Creating a view on KONA & KONH -  Failed with 'Field name DATAB not unique'

    Hi all,
I am creating a view on KONA (Rebate Agreement) & KONH (Conditions Header) tables. The link is KONA-KNUMA = KONH-KNUMA_AG.
The field 'DATAB' exists in both tables and I have included those two fields under 'View Fields' . When I tried to activate the View, it fails with 'Field name DATAB not unique'.
The following is the complete error message:
    Message no. MC060
    Diagnosis
When you define aggregates (views, lock objects or matchcode objects), you can assign the aggregate fields your own names (the system assigns names to the basic fields automatically). These names must be unique.
    System response
The system has established that the names assigned to the aggregate fields in an aggregate definition are not unique and issues an error message.
    Procedure
Assign unique names to the aggregate fields in question.
Why I am not able to create the view after including a field that EXISTS in two tables, PLEASE ?
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Hi,
you can include both fields (but what for??); most likely KNUMH will also complain after fixing DATAB (just a guess...).
You can include both fields if you name them differently (different aliases):
In the view fields tab, enter two different names in the column "view field".
    this will work.
    hope this helps...
    Olivier.

    Hi Li,
Sorry, I replied too quickly :-) Error 2222 can occur in two circumstances:
    1.   If the index is the primary key index; as you have found you cannot drop a primary key index in TimesTen.
    2.   If you have indexes with identical names on different tables; in this case you need to use the FROM owner.table qualifier on the DROP INDEX statement.
If you want to drop the primary key index then you will have to drop the entire table to do that. TimesTen does not have any concept of 'index status' and an index can never become unusable in TimesTen. The daemon log messages that you originally posted simply indicate that some process is waiting to acquire a latch on the index but is unable to because some other process is still holding it. Normally a latch should only be held for a very short time so if something waits much longer (in this case 1 second) we print these warning messages. So the real question here is why do you have such heavy latch contention on this index...
What exact TimesTen release is this? If it is an 11.2.2 release, you should consider using B-Trees for the range indexes rather than T-Trees as they offer much better concurrency. If you decide to do that, be sure to upgrade to 11.2.2.8.2 or later first.

  • Field name is not know error when trying to add a filter

    Hello all!
I need to add a filter dinamically to display a report. I'm using Crystal Reports 10 w/ RAS server.
There is an sql statement in Database Fields > Command. It uses a join and a correlation name for table name: TT.START_TIME.
I am getting a "Field name is not known" error:
"This field name is not known. Details: errorKind Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\{D375AB61-F7AE-4BCC-AF5E-6702C0EFDE10}.rpt: Error in formula . '{Command.TT.START_TIME} in DateTime (2007, 08, 01, 09, 00, 00) to DateTime (2007, 08, 24, 04, 45, 00)' This field name is not known. Details: errorKind"
I tried to specify the field the following ways:
    Command.START_TIME
    TT.START_TIME
    START_TIME
TIME_TRACKER.START_TIME (time_tracker being the table name)
    MAIN.TIME_TRACKER.START_TIME (main being the schema)
All of the above is giving the same field name not known error.
I am adding the filter the following way:
            String whereClause = "{Command.TT.START_TIME} in DateTime (2007, 08, 01, 09, 00, 00) to DateTime (2007, 08, 24, 04, 45, 00)";
            IFilter filter = rptClientDoc.getDataDefinition().getRecordFilter();
            filter.setFreeEditingText(whereClause);
            rptClientDoc.getDataDefController().getRecordFilterController().modify(filter);
I also tried the following where clause:
    String whereClause = "{Command.TT.START_TIME} > DateTime (2006, 08, 01, 09, 00, 00) AND {Command.TT.START_TIME} < DateTime (2007, 08, 24, 04, 45, 00)";
    still doing the same thing.
If anyone could please help me w/ this I'd really appreciate it!
    Thank you!
    Anastasia

The first formula was created using the selection formula expert. I only added the TT part after it didn't work giving the same message. The name the expert gives it after I click on the field is {Command.START_TIME}. Still gives the invalid field name error. -_- Could the rest of the forumula be causing the problem?
In regards to parameterizing the SQL Command, I spoke w/ the gentleman who creates these reports in Crystal, he says it's not possible, because sometimes we don't want a where clause and sometimes we do.
Is there a way to directly edit the SQL string itself which is in the Command through java?
Thank you very much for taking time to respond.

  • Field name is not known Error in formula field...

    Hi,
    I have a report in CR11.5 r2 that I call from VB6.
The report works fine, until a I create this formula, Trim ({RSE.PatName}).
When I put this formula field in a section in the report, I have this error, "Field name is not known Error".
    Any idea?

Make sure you have SP 6:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100015859952009E/crxir2win_sp6.exe
Does the formula work in the designer?
Are you changing datasource at runtime? If so, can you change to that datasource in the designer and run the report there?
If you do not use the Trim function, does it work?
If you do not use the field in a formula abd place it in say, the detail section as a test, does the report work?
But remember that what ever the report is doing at runtime, must work in the designer 1st.

  • My 200GB Aperture Library shows 0KB! Not Happy!!

    Hi All...
    ARRRGH!!
A Charlie Brown moment to be sure... I had resisted switching to Leopard on my field machine (MBP) until just last week, and I am now sorry I did. I do not know if it was definitely Leopard that caused this, but Tiger had been rock-solid reliable for a year running Aperture, and now I have wasted lots of time trying to figure this out...with no progress... hope one of you folks has a good answer.
    Problem is as follows...
First, I did not lose my master images...they are in 3 other locations and that is, of course, a good thing.
BUT, what I did lose is almost a week of tweaking, retouching, keywording, etc. on about 3500 images, while working with the client at their offices 2000 miles from here, and I am having a very hard time letting that go...it is part of a book that has already been approved by the client, while we can redo this selection/tweaking/collage work, it will of course not be what they have approved...since that was done in the library. The last thing I want to do is tell the client the dog ate my homework here, and I need a do-over...in this market, that level of incompetence causes the phone to stop ringing.
Before you chastise me for not using vaults, our in-house network backup system is supposed to mirror the files on a nightly basis to a master RAID that gets streamed to tape in the background, and has been fine for 2 years, but over the past week there was some network error that prevented the successful completion of that task from my machine. A Leopard issue with the client software???...the jury is still out.
OK, so as I said I updated to Leopard upon my return from the client, using archive & Install...no apparent issues...
I was attempting to importing/updating a Project captured in the field with my main 200GB library for this client (on a mirrored 500GBx2 RAID FW800), and started getting errors (no good import) and VERY slow performance. Clicking around to any other project in the library was causing it to rebuild previews, it would not import at all from cards or project....nausea begins to set in as I see my weekend plans dissolve, lol
OK, after the performance went into the dumper, I quit Aperture, restarted the Mac, tried it again....same problem. I run Cocktail doing permissions repair on a schedule on Mondays, and DW monthly...and have not run into significant problems prior to this. I then looked at the Info dialog on my Aperture library, and it said the Owner of the file was "_unknown" and that I did not have permissions to R/W the file. I ran Cocktail and rebuilt permissions, log says it was successful...no change to the Aperture library, still says "_unknown". In the Info dialog, I then intuitively changed the owner of the library to my username, typed my password in the dialog to confirm when asked, the system cranked for a bit, and when it stopped...my Aperture library size was ZEROKB in the info dialog!!! Yuck! I tried to change it back...no effect...the one good thing is that the space available on the drive remained at about 179GB, the same as when I started...even though the library dialog says zero...
I need a real tried and true answer, folks...I assume that playing with this or guessing at a fix will end badly. I do not want to have to fly back to the client and spend all that time (mine and theirs) redoing their tweaks and selections...unless I have no other choice.
I am kicking myself over this Leopard upgrade...given its previous rock-solid performance on Tiger, this is simply too much of a coincidence for moi.
I really wanted to be all excited about my new D3 and D300 stuff going into 2.0...darn it....please somebody out there have a magic command line statement that will restore my library...Apple folks, feel free to jump in anytime here... I am scrambling...please help.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

Ouch. We really feel your pain.
The only thing that jumped out at me was "Project captured in the field with my main 200GB library for this client (mirrored 500GBx2 RAID FW800)." Is it possible that Drive A of the A/B RAID1 array failed and that drive B still has your original data? I use RAID0 (striped), never used RAID1 (mirrored), so I am unfamiliar with how a failed RAID1 drive array presents.

  • Aperture library in pages? not iPhoto

Im trying to import media (a photo) into my pages document. When I click on the media button, it only pulls up my old iphoto library, not current aperture library.
I swapped over to aperture from iphoto a couple of years ago, and imported my old iphoto library so aperture referances to these iphoto files.
In other apple apps, (such as mail) I can insert from aperture, the media shows both the old iphoto library and the newer aperture library. But not so in Pages.
I realise i can drag and drop into pages, but this is not as convinent, and anyway, It should work in pages properly.
Anyone else had this problem? Anyone solved it?
    Pages 5.0.1
    OSX 10.9.1

    Hi Bwh888,
I think, I had the same problem. To solve it look here
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/24518931?tstart=0#24518931?tstart=0 or here
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/24494133#24494133
Aperture seams to remember that the library had been created by e.g. Aperture 3.4.1 even if you converted it to the actual version 3.5.1. Therefore it doesn't work in Pages 5.0.1.
    Good luck!

  • Aperture library to lightroom plugin not transfering all photos or projects.

I am trying to use the recent aperture import plug in added to LR5.  Many of my projects and photos are failing transfer stating "(Possible reasons include asset offline or unsupported asset type.)" I cannot find the difference of the failed jpegs, NEFs, from the others which tranfered.  Any help, suggestions??

No, no, no.  Can't believe they still don't understand the plugin after all this time.  Adobe support is abysmal.  And you pay a subscription fee!
The plug-in is a great alternative, but it does have issues.  And the most important steps for migration need to be done in Aperture, which may explain their skills gap.
See this post for a partial explanation.
How did your migration to Adobe Lightroom go?
The key to NOT running out of disk space is to relocate your images from "managed" status to "referenced".  You can specify a better folder structure for your resulting Lightroom library.  Be aware that you will need some overhead, as your Aperture library (metadata) takes space, as your Lightroom catalog will, too.  But migrating "managed" Aperture images results in a full copy.
There's other considerations for Aperture previews.  Although much smaller, all previews "should" be copied.  I've actually found that the plugin fails to copy a majority of previews.
Lightroom will copy managed raw files, but will just point to referenced raw files.  If you choose to copy previews, it will copy all previews.  Not much to the plugin, but it helps to know to pre-tag images in Aperture, and make sure you do some sort of file-level compare to make sure everything is copied over.  I've made several posts on these issues under "Photo Enthusiast" in this forum.

  • Trying to import RAW files but receiving "some import operation were not performed" error message.

Trying to import RAW files (from Canon 5D Mark III) but I'm receiving the following error message "some import operations were not performed". I am trying to copy to my Seagate backup drive, however the only destination it will let me copy to is my Lexar flash drive (where I don't want to store them!).  I've checked all the file permissions--everything says "read and write". Not sure where to start   I recently switched to an iMac where the problems started (never any issues importing into Lightroom on my PC--just slowness). Please help!

    NIKON D3300
The Nikon D3300 Raw format is not yet supported in Lightroom 5 (currently 5.3).
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
Raw file formats are proprietary to each camera manufacturer and specific to each camera model. Adobe's Camera Raw engine (used by both Adobe Camera Raw - as a plugin to Photoshop - and Lightroom) must be constantly updated with every new camera make and model which arrives on the market in order to read and edit Raw files from that camera.
Adobe has added support for the D3300 to Camera Raw 8.4 which is about to be released. It is a Release Candidate (RC status) at the moment. So D3300 Raw support will probably be added to the next soon-to-be-released Lightroom update (5.4).
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cameraraw8-4-cc/?tabID=details#tabTop
In the meantime, you can download the free Adobe DNG Converter 8.4
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/cameraraw8-4.html
Using the DNG converter, you can then convert the D3300 Raw files to DNGs then open and edit the DNGs in Lightroom 5.3.
Once Lightroom 5.4 is released (assuming it also has D3300 support) the DNG conversion will no longer be required.

  • Aperture Library photo folders are not updated in iTunes view

The list of photo folders in Aperture doesn't update which doesn't allow me to select them and sync with my iPad. Selecting ALL would be too many for the iPad (60,000 plus).
I put new photos into Aperture 3.0 and can't get them onto my iPad.
    Suggestions?

I can't really help, but I have the same problem. I really need to convert one of the RAW images in Aperture to a DNG using the Adobe DNG converter, but the converter can't find the image because the folders haven't updated.
I have restarted Aperture, the computer, all of the programs. Nothing seems to work. I don't know why the folders in the Pictures folder wouldn't match the folders in the Aperture Library. Most of them are the same, why not all?

  • Query string read as part of file name, throwing not found errors

Hi all, I host a number of Web sites under a CF7 installation, Win2003.
One site in particular is throwing not-found errors in response to certain search bot requests.
In the IIS log, I noticed that for these requests, the query part of the URL is part of cs-uri-stem field value, but is not in the cs-uri-query field where it belongs:
    cs-uri-stem=                                               /index.cfm?template=24hour5.cfm
    cs-uri-query=<blank>
    instead of
    cs-uri-stem=                                               /index.cfm
    cs-uri-query=template=24hour5.cfm
Evidently something somewhere is interpreting the entire URL as a filename, instead of a file name and a query string. When CF tries to locate the file it is throwing a not-found error.
Maybe there is something weird about the question mark, but it looks normal to me.
I can't seem to stop this error, since it is occuring at the OS, IIS, CF or jrun layer. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here, and what I can do about it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Joe

    Hey Reed, thanks for responding.
I have a Cf utility that parses logs, so I modifed it to print out the ASCII codes for each character. They look normal, as far as I can tell. The question mark has a code of 63 which is correct, and no non-alphabetic characters precede or follow.
One interesting thing is that the stem being called is an index.cfm file, and the query string argument happens to be a template name, and it ends in .cfm. That's why it is making it all the way to CF, which chokes on it, instead of IIS logging a 404 error.
Often an identifiable bot is requesting these bad URLs, though I have spotted another request with agent 'Mozilla/4.0.' I suspect that is some kind of automated scan. (I also see other requests with the same agent name, though a different IP, that look like errononeously URL-encoded requests. These get filtered by URLScan.)
I don't know for sure is whether the specific clients that make these bad calls always make them them wrong way. They appear to. Most clients that access the site do so normally.
I wonder if there could be something in the request header, perhaps that instructs IIS to expect a different charset than what is actually used, or something like that.
