Aperture mobileme

My Aperture is locked searching MobileMe

Quit Aperture - force quit if necessary .
Launch Aperture again.
When the "Mobilee Me" panel appears, press the "Learn more" button, not o.k.
Then use the "File > Web Accounts > Manage Web Accounts" menu entry from Aperture's main menu bar and remove "MobileMe" from the list of accounts in the accounts pane by pressing "-".
Afterwards sign out of Mobile Me from the "System Preferences > Mobile Me" panel.
If this does not work, disconnect the internet (Wi-fi, Ethernet, whatever you have), before you launch Aperture. Now the panel should no longer appear.
Good luck
Léonie

  • Aperture, MobileMe, AppleTV...Which Forum?

Hopefully this forum will work for me...
Anyone else having issues with Aperture images published to MobileMe that don't show up on AppleTV? Or at least gives you trouble on AppleTV?
First of all the MobileMe albums don't show up UNLESS I publish an image via iPhoto. It's like iPhoto "pushes" the Aperture images through. When I publish one photo via iPhoto, my Aperture/MobileMe albums show up. Un-publish the iPhoto image and the Aperture albums disappear from AppleTV.
THEN..... when I get the Aperture/MobileMe albums to show up (because I published one from iPhoto), AppleTV won't allow me to view them because it keeps telling me the login-in formation is incorrect--but it's not. I have the albums protected and locked on MobileMe and that's why I have to enter it on AppleTV. Whatever, I cannot view my MobileMe albums on AppleTV at all, no matter what I do. I will also post to the other forums, but I wanted to see if anyone here is familiar with this issue.
I hope this makes sense. Any help, anyone?

Not 100% about this solution but from what I've read this could be one solution if it's more important to show the images on TV more immediately.
    1. Eye-Fi cards all now have direct mode which enables them to automatically transmit jpeg (Connect X2) and jpeg / RAW (Pro X2).
    2. If you had a Nikon D7000 with dual card slots, you could save a RAW file to one card for importing into Aperture later and save a jpeg to the Eye-Fi card slot for wireless distribution.
    3. You can wirelessly send the jpegs to an iPad2 from the Eye-Fi card using Direct Mode.
    4. With an iPad2 you can mirror the iPad's screen onto an Apple TV (the small black ones) and therefore as soon as the jpeg is sent to your iPad it can be viewed instantly and automatically on your Apple TV.
    5. This should also work for jpegs if you have a D90 but I'm not too sure about what happens if you shoot RAW and jpeg on the D90.
It's a possible solution and food for thought anyway...

  • Aperture/MobileMe quality

I recently purchased Aperture and have created 2 MobileMe albums.
The problem I am having is the quality of the MM gallery. The pics look pretty bad. A lot of noise, artifacts, banding in the sky, etc. Also when I click on the photo info button in my gallery, all of the metadata is gone. No camera, no shutter, aperture etc. Another problem is under the file info it says the file size is only 75-145k.
I am not sure what exactly is going on. Is it an Aperture problem, or a MM problem that I can fix. Are there quality settings I can't find? It seems that it is uploading the thumbs only. I am at a loss.
I didn't have these problems with other galleries created in iPhoto 08, but that was done a while ago so I don't know if something changed in MM or what.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

Aperture and iPhoto compress the JPEGS even further as part of MobileMe integration. In the Gallery it is unavoidable. One way to get around it, you need to publish to Web Pages/Journals at high rez displays and default Preview JPEG settings.
    Follow the instructions here:

  • Aperture, MobileMe and Syncing

I use MobileMe Galleries via Aperture a lot. Occasionally however, I will upload a gallery only to discover that I left out a photo or two. I will add the new photo to the gallery in Aperture and click the sync button, but it will start reloading the entire gallery all over again rather than the photos I just added. I feel certain that I'm missing something here. Is there a way to do that?

I found this thread because I just Googled this situation. I am waiting here (hours) for my MobileMe gallery to "sync" from Aperture because I just made a minor change to the gallery.
I've discovered that any minor change whatsoever to the gallery will cause Aperture to re-upload the entire album to MobileMe.
This is re-tarded. Apple, please fix this.

  • HT5132 Aperture, MobileMe locking

No matter what I do, the process never completes and Aperture locks up. Oddly, I have no web MobileMe Gallery and never have. Online advice that I found does not solve the problem. How do I totally get rid of MobileMe and get my Aperture back?

Probably MobileMe is enabled in the Aperture Preferences Web panel.
Quit (if necessary, force quit) Aperture.
Before you launch it again, disable your internet connection - disable Wi-Fi or disconnect your ethernet.
    Then launch Aperture.
From the Aperture main meu bar select: File > Web Accounts > Edit Web Accounts
In the "Web" panel select "MobileMe" and press the "-" button.
    Quit Aperture.
Now you can enable your Internet Connection again.
As a precaution: If you force quit Aperture, rebuild your Library:

  • HT5132 Aperture mobileme migrating message problem

I keep getting this message every time I open Aperture. How can I get it to stop?

That is not the normal behaviour. By now Aperture should have stopped nagging, since you cannot download your content any longer.
When the message appears, click the "Learn more" button, not the o.k. button.
In Aperture, open the Preferences and go to the "Web" tab. If you still see "MobileMe" in the "Accounts" pane, remove the account.
If you do not see "MobileMe" in the "Accounts" pane, but Aperture is prompting you to migrate nevertheless, quit Aperture, open your User Library and clear the Caches (the library is hidden:
Use the Finder's "Go" menu to open it: Click "GO" and hold down the "Options" key, until "Library" appears in the drop-down menu - select it)  and navigate to the "Caches" folder.
Remove the file "mmsunset.plist" to the Desktop. This file tells Aperture how long to prompt for "MobileMe". Maybe it is corrupted.
If this still does not suffice remove your preferences from the user library (you home folder ~
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist), and try again. After removing the preferences file, you will have to reset all preferences you set using the preferences panel however.
    Good Luck

  • Aperture - MobileMe, filesize changes from ca3MB to 300kb in Gallery!

I´m trying to upload some selected pictures from my projects to my new MobileMe Gallery - without success...
    My problem:
I have tried every option in the "File" "New from selection" "To MobileMe" but only a few/or none of the pictures are on my gallery as fullsized originals. Only when first exporting them to a folder and uploading them manually I have success.
Why will the automatic upload work?
    I have a ADSL-4Mbit connection.
    iOdin

There are a lot of limitations with web galleries one of them is lack of control over what the downloadable image is and what color profile it is (always AdobeRGB) the only options that you have are JPG original size which appears to be reprocessed using a set of parameters that you can not control, the original size seems to be the original pixel dimensions not file size. The other option is optimized or optimized in addition to your master. It is no surprise to me that the downloadable JPGs that you are referring to are different that something else that you are looking at. The question is what exactly are you comparing them to? Original JPG shot in camera? - They will be very different (except for the master if you have that option enabled) JPGs that you export using a setting of your own? - These will be different too - You have no control over the export settings that Aperture uses for mobileme web galleries.
So what are you comparing to what?

  • Aperture MobileMe Galleries not showing in iWeb widget. iPhoto Gallery does

Is this a know problem? The galleries I've created in Aperture are not available to select. The iPhoto web gallery shows up immediately in the iWeb menu.

Have you set Aperture to share the Previews with the iLife apps.
Aperture -> Preferences -> Previews and check the box at 'Share Previews with iLife and iWork'.

  • Problem viewing albums on AppleTV via MobileMe/Aperture

Only publicly available albums are shown on the AppleTV with any Mobileme account you add to it. If you don't have any publicly available, you won't even be able to add the account. That's why it's telling you the login information is incorrect. Apple should change the error message to be more accurate but it doesn't matter because you wouldn't be able to see anything anyway.

  • Aperture and MobileMe Sync

Syncing photos out of Aperture to a MobileMe Gallery results in missing photos and double photos in the web gallery. Workflow as follows: selected and marked Photos in my Library, clicked MobileMe button, created new MobileMe Gallery, waited sync to be complete, checked result: 305 photos in the web gallery, 435 photos in my Aperture MobileMe album. Seems the sync comes with some bugs and flaws. Help highly appreciated!

I'm still having trouble with the same problem as described. I've followed the instructions as described below which make perfect sense...
@ Rienzo: Currently MobileMe will only sync photos with one program at a time. You need to go to www.me.com, go to the gallery page, and for each album change the setting to sync photos from iPhoto to Aperture. The settings button looks like a light switch on the top bar.
... After selecting an album and the "light switch", I don't see the option listed to chose Aperture. Under the Album Settings dialog, there are three choices under "Allow", two under "Show", and one under "Advanced" non of which allow the selection with respect to Aperture vs. iPhoto others are seeing; where am I going wrong here?
OS-X is up to date as are all applications.

  • Aperture 3 and MobileMe are now solved?

I am still on with Aperture 2.1.4 and have just had trouble with creating a new MobileMe gallery again, as Aperture remarks after it has uploaded the previews and made the gallery - til there is all fine - it could not communicate with MobileMe. This comes further if I like to made some changes to the gallery within Aperture and try to sync them - nothing happens, only the error comes up. This bug is til I upgraded my system to SL and Aperture 2.1.4. Any idea? Does Aperture 3 still has this bug or is it solved?

Okay ... further to my original note ... has anyone seen this?
Using Aperture 3 and MobileMe ... do you need to create unique passwords for each album?
(that seemed to fix the generic password on multiple albums)
No I have not seen this kind of problem, and no you shouldn't need unique passwords for each album.
I have specific groups that I regularly share sets of albums with. When I create a new MobileMe album, I specify which group has access (or limit the access later via the Aperture-MobileMe album settings). I established the group name (and password) once. For subsequent albums I just specify that group. If I use the Tell A Friend... option to announce a new album, it will share the group/username and password.
IF I enable uploading additional photos via e-mail, that does create a unique/generic e-mail address for each album -- has to as you want any photos to upload to THAT album.
I know this answers your question, but quite likely does not provide a solution. If you can be more specific as to EXACTLY what steps you are taking I might be able to replicate your process and offer a specific solution. Hopefully the pieces I've offered may help you find a solution though?

  • Moving iphoto's mobileme and facebook galley into Aperture 3

In iPhoto I have a lot of mobileme and facebook gallery that I update frequently.
I'd like to use Aperture3 also for this, but I'm unable to import these galleries.
I migrated all iphoto's library into Aperture, but on the left of Aperture mobileme and facebook galleries didn't appair...
    can u help me please?

You are correct with your re-explanation
I typically have one album that I push all my family/snapshots too on Facebook, so in this case, I just deleted that album on Facebook, and restarted by creating in in Aperture, so now I am in sync. I have other albums already on Facebook that I will leave as is.
There was/is a Facebook plugin for Apeture I was using in Aperture 2:
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/aperture/facebookexporterforaperture.html? cmp
I assume it will still work (32-bit only of course). It has not been updated in eons though, as you can see. This plugin simply pushed any selected photos up to Facebook, and allowed you to choose which album on Facebook. You then had the extra step of then going into your Photos section on your Facebook profile, selecting those photos, and "approving them to be published". Tedious. I actually like the Aperture 3 way better now (like in iPhoto before). The bummer of course is that you have to start from ground zero in terms of the synchronization

  • MobileMe iPhoto galleries not syncing after password change

After changing the MobileMe Password iPhoto does not recognize the properly configured MobileMe Account anymore.
All other Applications with MobileMe Upload/Sync/Publishing capability (iMovie, Aperture, MobileMe-Sync) still work flawless. After trying to publish a Photo to a MobileMe Gallery or clicking on an prior uploaded MobileMe , the MobileMe "Are you already a member" (Translated from German) screen pops up, asking me to login into MobileMe. A second windows states "An error occured with the publication of album "ALBUMNAME". Your MobileMe Account Information is not correct. The provided login or password is not valid" (Translated from German)."
Even in the iPhoto Preferences/Setting under the "Web" Tab the used and max iDisk Capacity is not shown.
After changing the MobileMe Password iPhoto does not recognize the MobileMe Account anymore.
I'm having this problem on my late 2007 MacBook Pro 2,4GHz
On my second Mac at home evrything works just fine, even in iPhoto.
I've tried several things to solve this problem:
    - Logging Off & On with fake MobileMe username/password in the MobileMe Setting in System Preferences
    - Updating the password in publish.me.com in the keychain
    - replacing the keychain on this Mac (MBP) with the keychain from my Mac at (both have latest Snow Leopard and iPhoto Version)
    - deleted the com.apple.iPhoto.plist
