Aperture not seeing images in camera
I have two copies of Aperture: one on my MBPro and one on a recently acquired iMac 2.4GHz.
Aperture on the iMac does not see the images on the camera, although recognises that the camera has been attached. The images are visible in iPhoto.
On the MBP, Aperture sees the images on the memory card of my Nikon D70 and imports without problem.
Any ideas why (or what I have missed) this might be happening. The two copies of Aperture are not running at the same time.
I actually do have one but I wanted to try without. When I later tried with the card reader (that was after having the version on the MBP recognise and import the images) nothing happened at first, although it identified the card as a Nikon D70s; but when I tried the Import icon, that worked. A bit less smooth than I was expecting.

Computer not seeing images on Camera Roll
My computer running Leopard (up to date) is no longer seeing that I have images in my iPhone's Camera Roll. This is the case with both iPhoto itself and Image Capture. Both applications show my iPhone as being mounted but they see "0 photos." Has worked fine until today. This is a Verizon iPhone that I have had practically since it was announced. Any suggestions? I've restarted my desktop, turned on and off my iPhone, but no luck.
Nebbermind. The problem seems to have resolved itself, after I deleted and the reloaded CameraPro. Maybe just a fluke.

Why does Lightroom not see my teathered camera in Windows 8?
When I teather my Nikon D300 in Lightroom 4, It seem as the Windows 8 operating systems takes over the function and Lightroom does not automatically open captured image. Instead, Windows' picture window appears. I have not been able to figure out how to override the windows function so that Lightroom opens the captured image. Need Help!!!
Where is that in the menu...couldn't locate it?

I can not see images on a HDMI TV connected my laptop Displayport
Dear all,
I need to connect the laptop to a HDMI TV and therefore I purchased a HP Display port to HDMI cable adapter P/N: 612873. It is not working.
I phoned HP service, they recommend to me to download the HP Softpaq download manager and update my laptop.
After doing this, still I can not see images on the TV.
I know the TV is working, because other laptops like Asus, Toshiba are connected to the TV and works fine.
Does anybody know what should I do?

Aperture not seeing referenced masters on Samba share
Hello all,
I have moved my referenced masters from my laptop to a Samba-mounted RAID server. I go to mount the Samba share and for some reason, Aperture won't see my referenced masters. It also shows the volume as being offline, when I know for a fact it is mounted, and can browse the Aperture masters directory to find each and every master...
Is there any way to get aperture to see these masters?

-NoahOK, this is a long shot, but it happened to me once.
I tried to relocate some managed images to an AFP share which I thought was mounted but wasn't. Because the path that I wanted to relocate to was already loaded I just clicked OK and this is what happened - Aperture created a Folder in /Volumes/ with the name of the AFP volume. So later when I did mount the volume none of my referenced files showed up. This is because while the name on the desktop was correct the Path to it was /Volumes/AFP-share 1/ instead of /Volumes/AFP-share/.
So in short look in /Volumes/ (you can get there by using the Go-->Go to Folder menu in the Finder and typing /Volumes/) and see if there is a folder in there that should not be:-) If there is check to see if there are any images in it and move those to your desktop before deleting the folder. -
I am "not too computer savvy" so if you are going to answer my question.. Please take super baby steps (thx in advance).. Okay, now I have a 1 yr old Imac I am using 10.6.8 (do not know what that means) but everytime I call Apple support they ask me.. So I figured you may need to know as well. I really love Firefox (easier for me) and I was trying to download a coupon printing thing to print from Coupons.com (plz don't laugh..economy sux) anyways, the operator at coupons.com told me how to install it. Can't remember but if not immediately after or not long after?? It seems that ALL my images on EVERY website are gone. It is very frustrating because I can not see (for example on Ebay where to click "buy it now" or "continue" unless it seems I sometime get lucky and click where it says "image" but there isn't one. It looks like a set of shark teeth actually right beside the word "image" very jaggedy teeth, I guess?? So I have been using Safari. There is no problem with ANY of those website images. I go on the same basic sites so that is how I know that. I have only downloaded music I think 3x. I do not download much at all. I would really love to use Firefox, being the un-savvy computer person I am... Firefox is easier to navigate for me. Thanks SO much!
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

After I downloaded IOS 6 on my iphone 4s i went on google images and clicked on a picture. I then tried to save image to my camera roll and was asked do I want to put image in camera roll. I pressed no by mistake and I have not been able to save any images since. I deleted google off of my iphone and reinstalled it
and it still says image save failed. I can not find an option on the google app to change the setting or on my iphone in settings.OMg!!i had the same problem like just now and what I did was I went to settings, went to reset and then I only rest the location and when I went to google again, they asked me if I wanted to use my current location and I said yes and then I tried o save a pic and they asked me of they can access my pics and u have to say yes

Can someone please help me, I am still trying to learn my MAC.....
I go to a website, which I noticed it only does it with the one website, but I am unable to see images. It does not give a error message or anything, but once on the site, try to click on the tabs to see different categories, it does not show any pictures, which it is suppose to.I tried from my Windows computer and it shows. I think I am missing something , on how to get images to show, but its only on that site- Essence Website ? Can someone help please.

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults. -
Aperture Not Seeing All Pictures on Camera to Import

I am having a problem getting Aperture to read or see and therefore import all the pictures on my camera disk. IPhoto recognized and imported them all. I am at a loss as to why Aperture doesn't see them.
Any ideas?
thanksScrags... I think you meant change the USB setting to MSC (Mass Storage). I've been unable to import from my D300 into Aperture 2.1.1 using MTP/PTP. Also, D700 users should note that Apple just today released RAW Compatibility Update 2.2:

The D300 has been supported since 10.5.2.

Aperture is not deleting images from 'camera'
I eject the CF card from my camera and put in a USB reader and plug it into the USB cable (from back of iMac to female). Aperture dutifully imports the images into my library then asks if I want to delete the files and eject. I click on that option and it asks again if I'm sure. I click on delete and eject.
Then Aperture ejects the CF without deleting the files.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Any advise?Sometimes the FAT table becomes corrupt and the card needs a reformat. If you just delete files from the card, a hidden problem may jump out and bite you when you least want it.
It's always preferable to reformat in-camera than to delete files using computer software. -
Aperture not seeing iPhoto Libraries on external drive when trying to do a REFERENCED import.
I am trying to bring all my iPhoto libraries (one for each year) together into one REFERENCED Aperture library. I have the iPhoto libraries on an external hard drive and want the Aperture Library on my main drive. Whe I go to the Import window I do see my external hard drive on the list of drives, but the files do not show up. It shows folders and any readable files in the folders, but not the iPhoto Libraries, which are not in any folders. I am running out of space on my hard drive, so want to do a referenced import, not a managed one, but I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried doing the copy drag and drop method (holding command+option and dragging and dropping from finder to Aperture, but it still copies the whole library to the main drive, it does not reference it). Help, please!

Aperture will not show you files in libraries in the import panel. iPhoto libraries are not imported using the import panel. Importing the files using the import panel would result in importing a mess of thumbnails, previews, and originals, and you would lose your organisation in events and albums and probably most of your metadata tags.
You import iPhoto Libraries as library:
File > Import > Library
If the library you are importing is referenced, it will be imported referenced, if it is managed, the images will be imported managed. You can relocate the managed originals to your external volume directly after import using the command "File > Relocate originals"

Do not see image and content folders after creating a new site
Why didn't I see the image folder, content folder......aftter I create a new site?
DW does not create any folders for you, except those used by DW code (Templates and SpryAssets for example).
It's up to you to organize your site the way that makes the most sense to you by adding in folders like images, content, pages, etc.
Just don't move files out of any of the automatically generated folders that DW does give you, that can break things (especially Template .dwt files). -
ACR does not see D70 in Camera calibrate profiles
I shoot photos with a Nikon D2X and my wife uses a Nikon D70. If I open a D70 raw file, and then go to camera calibration, the profiles available are for various standard profiles and D2X profiles. The D70 profiles do not show in the drop down list. All of the profiles have been downloaded, from Adobe, and installed.
If I open a D2X raw file, the standard and D2X profiles are shown in the dropdown box.
Have I missed something in the installation? Do the profiles have to be loaded somehow?
We are using PhotoShop CS4 on 64 bit and 32 bit systems with ACR 5.2. Bothe the 32 bit and 64 bit Photoshop have the same result.

The "D2X" in some of the profile names are part of the name of the Nikon picture style they emulate. -
Aperture not downloading images
Software not downloading or exporting recent work. Adds images without preview. Takes forever for an image to download. I also use NIK as a plug in but never had issues before.
OS X and Aperture versions?
Update all, then run Apple's trouble-shooting steps. Report back.
Also make sure you have at least 10% free space on your system drive.
