Aperture share to facebook problem

Aperture 3.4.3 cannot share my photo's to my facebook account. In Aperture "facebook don't recognize" my account (see image). And when this message comes up Aperture hangs and connot be closed (only forced).
What am i doing wrong? I tried several options i found on the internet (delete facebook cookie in safari/restart iMac/delete facebook account in Aperture/etc).
But nothing helped.
Does anyone have the same problem and how did you solve it?

Aperture 3 and Facebook problem

I'm encountering a weird problem with Facebook upload through Aperture 3.1.
I found a few photos and dragged them into my Facebook albums through Aperture. It says synchronising but seems to public multiple copies of the same photo to the FB album.
If I delete multiples from FB it just copies them again after a while. If I delete them from FB, as soon as I restart Aperture they publish multiple copies of the pics I dragged through originally.
Any solutions?

Fortunately, it's easy enough to export photos from Aperture to a folder and upload manually, but a half-baked implementation shouldn't even be shown as a option.

Facebook Problems - Different than iPhoto

Hi, sorry for the long post!!!
First, I'm new to Aperture and was planning on moving from iPhoto. I was testing and have noticed a lot differences when enbabling Facebook inetgration that has now raised a number of questions & concerns.
First, with iPhoto - connecting to your facebook account sync's all existing albums but doesn't put those images in the library, whereas, when doing the same in Aperture, it does. The first problem is that if you decide to import the picture that Aperture synced from Facebook, it doesn't show up, if you have don't allow duplicates checked. The problem is the file is not the same size and further more, if you delete it from your library, it removes it from facebook and won't allow you to undelete (or put back) from the trash.
I guess the bottomline is Facebook integration is really different from iPhoto and unless you only have 1 copy of Aperture and start using Facebook only when you start with Aperture, it might all work right. In my case, I have multiple computers running Aperture and have already sync'd some photos with iPhoto and Facebook.
This is probably not easy to follow and maybe looking for any references on how the Facebook integration with Aperture is really designed to work and the workflow associated with it.

I was having the same problems. I think it is a problem with the way Facebook blocks applications.
I solved the problem by clicking on the iPhoto Uploader hyperlink in the uploader box, telling Facebook to Block the iPhoto Uploader application. I then went back to iPhoto and attempted to upload a photo. After the login screen all I got was a screen that said close. I did this, then went back to the iPhoto Uploader option in Facebook and told it to Allow the application. Then when I selected pictures in iPhoto and clicked on the Facebook button, I logged in as before and was presented with the option to publish the picture.
Now everything works .... my guess is that facebook was rejecting the request from iPhoto to publish, but fails to show an error message. The solution is to disallow then allow the iPhoto Application from Facebook (using the hyperlink in the iPhoto Uploader login box.)

Contextual Share to Facebook Album - Limited Albums Listed

Using 10.8.2, I am attempting to share several photos to existing albums in Facebook. When I select the photos and pick the Share to Facebook via option-click, I only see a few of my Facebook albums. Why are only a few (not all) listed? How can I make all of them appear?

I dislike that Aperture creates its own album on Facebook, where it posts your "Wall" photos. Ordinarily wall photos on Facebook are not part of a particular album, and if you uploaded several in a short period of time, they would appear as separate posts, and not as an album update. But if you do it from Aperture, they are grouped together as an album update, which can ruin the effect. I haven't found a workaround except to export to your desktop (or other folder) and manually upload to the FB wall.

Facebook problem with my C6-00

I have purchased a C6-00 about a two weeks ago but after 10 days of usage nokia updated my device software, then I couldn't able to connect to facebook from main screen shortcut (or whatever you call it) and also from facebook in applications ...when I open the facebook widget , -which is always in the sing in page- ( but it was not before) and entered my mail and password, it always gives the same error (-undefined error-) ...and stays in the same screen...I couldn't find any solution around the web but I found many people shares the same problem!...I called the Nokia center and they replied my as "we can update or reinstall the drivers but thats all....we can't fix that problem...try to reboot your device"....so I rebooted it...guess what? nothing changed...still got the same problem and still can't connect to the facebook...please do not give silly answer like "make it online" or "did you connect it to wlan " ...I am an engineer not a moron....and this is a software problem...everything has happeden after ovi updated my phone software....waiting for your reply...

Elements 10: I lose my edits when I "share to facebook"

I've finally started using a copy of Elements 10 I had lying around, and I have a problem. I'm shooting in RAW format, and whenever I make changes to the image using the RAW mini editor (rather than Elements proper), the changes show up all right in Organizer, but when I use the "Share to Facebook" function, it blows away all my edits and posts only the original image as it came out of the camera.
I've tried to use "Save As" instead of "Done," and it doesn't seem to help. I've been searching on google (and these forums) for about half an hour, and I'm completely at a loss.

You need to convert your raw pictures files to the jpeg format.
When you are in the ACR module dialog, instead of choosing 'Done' or 'Save', select 'Open' to open the file in the editor of PSE. You can do edits if you wish, and then you 'save as' selecting the jpeg format.
Just note that the jpeg format is only in 8 bits mode, so have a look at the bottom center menu in the ACR dialog and change it from 16 bits to 8 bits. You need do that change only once, it is 'sticky' afterwards.
Just a note about what 'Done' or 'save' are doing : 'Done' saves the changes you have made with the sliders in a very small file with the same name and the extension '.xmp'. It records the commands, the 'recipe' to adjust your file. It does not change anything in the original raw file. The 'Save' command converts your raw file into another raw format (.DNG).

Is there a share on facebook button available for Safari?

Hi Curt,
You might want to check out Add Facebook button to Safari Toolbar . I have never used it so I can't say if it will mess up your Safari browser or not so please do some homework before installing any third party extension such as that to see if users are having any problems with it first.
And make sure to read the system requirements first to make sure it is compatible with your version of Safari and OS.

PSE 10 & "Share to Facebook"

I've recently upgraded from PSE6.0 to PSE 10 and am having an issue with the Share to Facebook feature.
I'm getting the error "There was a problem with your Internet connection. Please check that a firewall is not blocking Eleents Organizer from accessing the Internet and that you have an Internet Connection". The strange thing is that the Share to Flickr service works perfectly. I've also checked that I can access Facebook from this PC via a standard web connection all OK.
As suggested on another thread, I have also tried resetting the providers under edit - preferences.
Any help really appreciated as this is one of my primary reasons for upgrading to PSE10.

Once I too had the same problem. It took me long to figure out the reason for it but ultimately i solved the mystery.
Some services like share to Facebook/share to Youtube may not work from PSE 10 if ANY PROXY IS SET ON YOUR MACHINE. In such case your PC allows you to connect to intenet and share your stuff with Facebook or youtube without any problem but PSE will not allow you to do the same.
To determine whether you have any proxy set or not - In Internet explorer follow the following steps.
1. In 'Tools-> Internet Options' navigate to 'Connections' tab.
2. click on 'LAN Settings'. under proxy server pane uncheck the tick box for Use a proxy server..'
In some cases you may not have a proxy server but some other program may be acting as filter. In my case I installed 'Windows Live essentially'. In this suite there is an application called 'Windows live family safety'. It consist of a feature called 'Family safety filter'. By default it was turn ON. Hence it was blocking the OLS (OnLine Services) services from PSE to connect to internet. When I TURN OFF this filter OLS worked for me.
A popular program called 'Fiddler' also act as proxy and it hinders the OLS services of PSE to connect to internet. If this program is ON while sharing then it wil give same error.
Hence i suggest that please check such programs which may have some kind of filter (e.g. Windows live essential or Fiddler) please turn that filter/Application off and then try PSE to share your stuff.
Please let me know if your problem persist.

Yes! Been living in a hellish nightmare since Sept-Oct. Unlike you, however, Apple has been of no help. They say the iPad is unhackable, plist and crash reports are none of my business and who understands them anyway, their route tracing apps are probably not reliable. The best they could do was wipe the iPad clean. Lost photos they said would be in the cloud....
Almost immediately was back in somebody's VPN, their remote controller, video, audio, working. Got the purple buddy for the first time today. I have been invaded, my iPad no longer feels like my own, I have lost thanksgiving, Christmas, new year trying to track down the invaders, signed up for a Cisco course, set/reset passwords.
I don't know who else to contact... Or what next to do.
I've read similar frustration in other posts, scattered around the support communities. Yours is the only one that has worked toward a solution.
How did you get anyone at apple to look at your logs and acknowledge there is a problem?
Would be happy for a suggestion on how to proceed. Already been the apple store genius and tech on phone route.

Imovie: cant share to facebook due to "wrong password

when trying to share a movie or a trailer to facebook I am unable to log on to fb due to "incorrect password. However this is the password !!!

Facebook has a set of open-graph meta tags that it looks at to decide which image to show.

and should be present inside the <head></head> tag of your page.
If these tags are missing, it will use their older method of specifying an image: <link rel="image_src" href="/image.jpg"/>. If neither are present, Facebook will look at the content of your page and choose images from your page that meet its share image criteria: Image must be at least 50px by 50px, have a maximum aspect ratio of 3:1, and in PNG, JPEG or GIF format.
