Aperture software help, i cannot retouch some photos

For the first time this week a have a problem with retouch in Aperture. I do'nt see any result at the moment when I use the retouch and it makes no difference if I use Retouch or Clone. The counter on the left side sais that there are multiple retouches, bus nothin changes on my screen. So I made an axport of a picture to see if that made any difference, but no the retouces are not on the exported photo. If I use Blur or another brush it works as always.
Has someone a solution? I also tryed the reproces original and retouch afterwards, no result.

APERTURE SOFTWARE HELP: I cannot drag photos from the finder into the browser?

Two weeks ago, I started a photo book project on Apple's Aperture. I have been importing photos by dragging images from my Finder to the browser. However, today, while I was editing text in my book, I think I accidentally pressed a button and all the photos from my browser disappeared. However, the photos are still seen under "Library" in the "Projects" and "Photos". Aperture no longer lets me drag images from my Finder to the browser either. Please help!!!

Check if youhave any filters set: Have a look at the search fields in the Browser and the Inspector panel. The search fields should be showing "All items" or "Show all", otherwise only specific items will be displayed.

Aperture adding a blue tint to some photos

Aperture is turning a few of my photos blue.
I am shooting with a Sony A700 in cRAW. Several of the images downloaded last night have gotten a blue tint without me applying any adjustment. Anyone else with this issue?

I have encountered the same very problem. It is not related to RAW format. I have traced it back to upgrading from Aperture 1 to 2. I thought I was alone in this issue, but found the problem discussed in "Snow Leopard + Aperture 2.1.4 Problems Pages". The discussion starts off describing a different problem, but soon it changes to the existence of a blue shift in the printed image. I am now convinced that my problem is related to the upgrade, since I am unable to print older versions that printed perfectly using Aperture 1.

I cannot view some photos in iPhoto' 11

I installed 10.7 successfully but some photos in my iPhoto library do not show. Some events show blank and their contents show blank with a triangle containing "!". I know the photos are there as they show up momentarily as I scroll the screen. Individual photos show the capture information as well as face and location names but no pictures. Blank events appear to be of most recent ones but some are older ones. I would like to know a solution to this problem as I am in the middle of organizing recent events for publication.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Cannot get some photos to share/export. Help

Four of the 75 photos in an album I am sharing absolutelywill not export or copy or email in any way, no matter what I do. A "forbidden" icon (a diagonal slash though a circle) appears in the edge of the photo whenever I try to move/export it. Help. When I put it in an email, the email is blank.

Try selecting photos in Organizer and creating a new album by clicking:
Share >> Online Album
Then choose new album and Photoshop Showcase
In the dialog use the link next to Already a member?

Help! I took some photos of a house I just listed (real estate), downloaded them to Adobe Photoshop 12 Organizer, now need to upload them to the MLS ?

I can't find the Adobe Photoshop 12 Organizer with the Browse button in the MLS or on the computer in Pictures, Downloads, etc. Help! How do I get the pictures I need uploaded to the MLS?

you have a ps cs4 license for mac and you have some way of finding your serial number.
if yes, download an install the installation file. if you already have the installation file, what is its name and file extension? (eg, if it's one file, it should be a dmg file.)

Need help - can't import some photos into iPhoto - getting error msg

I have a lot of photos on my computer. Most of them are in my iPhoto, but I can't seem to load all of the photos in there and integrate them al. I am getting an error message. The jist of the message is that they are unreadable and that they cannot be imported. The photos are jpegs. I am kind of at a loss as to why these photos are not getting imported.
Does it have anything to do with where the photos were taken from? What I mean is that when I have current photos on the camera, they will go directly to iPhoto. What about the ones that are copied to my hard drive from another computer? Those I can't seem to integrate into my library. An suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Are these troublesome files in the iPhoto Library Folder? Are you putting files in there hoping to see them in iPhoto?
iPhoto is a database, the images have to be imported (File -> Add to Library) before they can be seen. Also, as a precaution against duplication, iPhoto will not import pics from the iPhoto Library Folder, so move them out to the desktop and then import them.

Following the recent software update I cannot now view photos on websites, eg when on estate agent sites, when I rap to enlarge the photos, a blank screen is shown.

Following the recent software update, I now can't open photos from websites such as photos on estate agent websites. When tapped to show enlarged, or switch between images a blank screen appears. Before update no problem. This is the same on my ipad and an ipad mini. Assume there is a setting, but can't find it!

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

Help, i cannot view my photos

I have the blackberry curve, I received it yesterday and took about 8 pictures and I can view them on my media files.
Today I took pictures however I couldn't see them in my media picture files. When I receive or take pictures I casnnot view them. Please help.

Hi helenfrances and welcome to the forums!
First try a battery pull:
No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON.
Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed.
You can look for the pictures using the explore command. Let us know if they are on the device memory or on your media card.

I have an ibook G4 using iphoto5. Some photos in my library cannot be opened. It hasn't always been this way. I have tried to click and drag to a folder in finder and when i do i get an error !Coundn't open the file. It may be corrupt or a file format that Preview doesn't recognize. Can anyone help in solving this problem?

The only solution to corrupted files is to restore from your back up.

The "link related" and "text related" crashes were what I interpretted here, too, though I'm at a loss on how to proceed given that this is a fresh system and applications. This is happening with multiple InDesign projects in a design office environment where many others work on the same files and none of the other computers are having problems with these files. I've removed the same files listed (thank you for those) before and did so effectively with creating the new user account to test with, but it had no effect. I just tried again though, as these files could easily have becone corrupt again if they were being written to when InDesign crashed. Will let you know if that makes any difference. I've also gone through and completely cleaned out the fonts again and once more cleared the font caches. If need be I'll reboot this system into safe mode and try that way.

Sounds like it was synced from her computer using iTunes. Connect the phone to her computer, open iTunes, click on the name of her phone in iTunes, go to the Photos tab and see if this folder is checked. If so, unchecking it and syncing will remove them all, or deleting/moving the photos from the folder on her computer and syncing will remove the deleted/moved photos.

If the photos and video are not on the phone or in a backup, then there isn't anything you can do.

Any Help will be apreciated, I am having problems printing with my Epson PX720WD using Aperture software. I am getting banding across the photo equal distances apart (25mm), plus it appears to be printing at high speed.

When printing on my Epson PX720WD using Aperture 3 I get lines across the photo 25mm apart, it also appears to be printing at high speed. I have no problems when I print through Epson Easy print.

I have photoshop CS4 with the newest update. I'm a photographer and just purchased the new canon 7d mk II. Today, I shot some photos on raw but am unable to pull them up in photoshop. A window pops up saying "photoshop cannot recognize this type of file.

Adobe Camera Raw 5.7 is the latest for Photoshop CS4 Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows
The problem is that your new camera is supported by ACR 8.7 and only Photoshop CS6 and up supports this version.
So if you do not want to buy CS6 or subscribe to the $10/month Photography Program, you have to convert the CR2 files to DNG to work on them. Your original CR2s are untouched in the process, you just can't directly edit them in CS4, only the DNGs.
Maybe Canon offers editing software for their CR2s, but CS4 is not going to be updated and there is no way around that.
It's not what you want to hear, but that's the situation so far.
Maybe Elements or Lightroom has updated raw support for your camera, so I encourage you to visit those forums and ask.
