Aperture update is installed yet it say an update is available

I updated to Moutain Lion. I updated Aperture to ver 3.4.1. Under app store updates it says an update is available with a red 1. Its for aperture. Yet when it brings updates available. Aperture is grayed out and says installed. But I still have the red 1 for it. Ive tried recycling the operating system. Bringing up aperture and confirming version. Im at a loss... I still have the red1 for an update for it... it shows up as grayed out and installed under purchased
Under app store purchases It says "Download" for mountain lion yet im already downloaded, nstalled and running 10.8.2...

Hi. Figured I'd get back to the folks here. My problem was fixed but resolution was highly complicated. Required speaking to backend engineering and them walking me through a fix. I evidently was the first to report this issue. Anyway, they can fix it but it requires uninstalling application, deleting files etc... then reinstalling... Wish I could be clearer but they tried a number of things...over a number of days...until figuring it out....
My suggestion is to call them... Mountain Lion Integration Issue with Aperture and App Store.... Good Luck!

Sometimes look-alike characters may be confused, also you may need to enter the previous registration numbers as well, if your Aperture version is an upgrade to Aperture 2 or 1.

I Installed Aperture update today and Aperture will not open.

I am running OSX 10.8.2 and installed a new Aperture update today. Now when I try to open it says my libraray has to be modified.. I modified my current libraray and now when I attempt to open Aperture it crashes and lets me send a report to Apple but will not open up... I also updated iPhoto at the same time and it to says I must modify my library to run this update...I don't care about iPhoto at the moment... I am a serious photographer and want to get to my photos in Aperture and am unable to open it... Any one out there that can help me..?

Upgrading from iPhoto 8 to iPhoto 9 requires a purchase. There are two ways to get to iPhoto 9:
1 - purchase a copy of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com or eBay.com.
2 - if your MBP meets the requirements upgrade you system for free to Mavericks. Then you can purchase the latest iPhoto version, 9.5.1, from the App Store.

Actually, you cannot download Snow Leopard. You downloaded a Snow Leopard updater.

You cannot stop it from popping up.
it will continue every few minutes until its installed.
just keep using the back button near right side of home button.

Without know how you exported the slideshow from Aperture and how you are using iDVD and what errors or messages you are getting then no, haven't a clue.

You have to install and RUN the iPhoto Library updater - it is installed in the utilities folder of your applications folder - double click on it to RUN it and then launch iPhoto to complete the upgrade

Aperture update refusing to install

Although i have Aperture 3.3 installed the update to 3.3.2 refuses to install with message "Aperture 3.0 or later is required to install this update." This is the reason what App Store ist not listing Aperture when an update is available.
What could i do to overcome this?

that cannot be your system, if you are using Aperture 3.3?
Have you moved Aperture from the Applications folder to a subfolder or renamed it? To install the update, aperture must be named simply "Aperture", without any additions and located in the Applications folder on your System volume.

Missing effects installed yet not updating

I opened a project that uses effects that were missing from my system and received the red screen alert. I downloaded and installed the effects and they now appear in the effects menu in FCPX, yet FCPX is still telling me the 6 effects are missing. How do you fix this so that the effects update and apply?
They should just apply once they have been installed yet they do not. One of the effects did update when I installed it but there are 6 instances that will not.
The effects are: Alex4d Mask+4, Alex4d Mask+8 and Alex4d Mask+16. See the screengrab below showing the installed effects and also the missing effects alert for those same effects.

When you add or update an effect, title, transition etc in the effects browser, FCP will sometimes not see it until you close and reopen FCP. Even if it sees the additional effect it will not apply it to an instances in the project timeline. You have to reapply it. One would think in your case where the effect was missing it would automatically add it once it appeared in the browser but perhaps not. I would relaunch FCP and see if that fixes it. If not then You will need to reapply the masks.
