I've tried to run the repair multiple times. Will not repair and wlll not open library. On both Macs and done repeatedely.

Itunes will not launch, it shows message of "itunes library .itl" can not be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes. I tried opene it in save mode but I had the same problem.
If you still have an issue you may have to see about using the iTunes version (application) included with Snow Leopard 10.6 from the installer or an another one if available online, and see if that will install.
Sometimes you may have uninstall the bits left in your system by the earlier (or later) iTunes installers; as they all leave a trace and these can stop a different version of iTunes from being installed.

M93p tower - ThinkVantage System Update will not launch
I have an M93p tower, and for some reason System Update no longer starts successfully. The opening Lenovo logo showing Version 5 of System Update appears for 3-4 seconds and then disappears, but the actual program window never appears.
Same thing happens no matter whether I try to launch System Update directly from the Start Menu or from within Lenovo ThinkVantage Tools.
I have tried uninstalling System Update, and manually reinstalling the very latest version obtained from the Lenovo M93p driver/software download site. No change. Program window will still not launch even though the opening logo appears.
I have 10 other Lenovo machines (M91p, M92p, W530 laptop, multiple M93p SFF) and System Update has never failed to start on any of them. Only this one machine has this strange system appeared.

1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
once we've got all the existing QuickTime scraped away, let's try a careful standalone QT 7.1.3 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1.3 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Quicktime 7.1.3 Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention itunes
if that install goes through okay, reboot the PC and try another itunes install. does that go through okay this time?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.) -
Itunes will not launch after fresh install and repeated re-installs
I've been browsing around the forums here and the support system hoping for an answer to this question.
On Monday my hard drive died and I had to buy a new one. I reinstalled windows and itunes among other things. I have a brand new Video Ipod as well. I haven't even had a chance to plug it in!
Itunes worked for about 2 days and suddenly stopped working. I mean literally, if I double click on the icon and start up the program, it immediately crashes and asks me if I want to send an Error report.
I removed and reinstalled and rebooted about 3 times to no avail. I re-downloaded Itunes + quicktime just in case there was something wrong with the installer. This did not fix the problem.
I then tried messing with my "sound" settings as suggested by support and people on the forums. I can not find the option to change my sound output to 1400000khz or whatever. Nor does changing my system to "Speaker mode headphones" fix the issue as suggested by apple here:

Quicktime is also screwed up and will not load on websites. It shows an icon in my taskbar but when I click on it, nothing happens. Even if Itunes is uninstalled, the icon still shows up in the tray. I cannot delete the folders or find any option in Uninstall programs to remove it.
As a last resort, I rolled my system back to Monday when I had just installed Windows, default drivers and SP2. A clean system. I then installed Itunes as the very first program and surprise - it crashed upon opening.
I have no idea what to do at this point. Without Itunes my ipod is almost usless.The quote below is from a previous thread where several people solved your same problem with the stated technique. Maybe it will work for you. Good Luck.

Frozen ipod after new updates, will not recover, error codes 1601 and 1602
i updated my ipod last night, was working fine, turned off, then on again this morning. was working fine this morning for a while, then went completely blank, will not start up, just completely dead. i have tried to restore,several times and get error code 1601, and 1602. have tried restarting my computer,checking for updates, restarting my itunes, using another computer, tried another lead, and everything else suggested by support. it will just not do anything. has anyone got any suggestions, please.
I would suggest that you put your iPod into the recovery mode and restore it. Next time something like this, it is better to start with the more basic troubleshooting steps first before trying to restore. The two easiest are restart and reset.
Try these steps with your touch.
1. Unplug the device from your computer
2. Turn the touch off - hold the Sleep/Wake button down until you see the red slider and turn the device off. Note: this may not work. If not, go to the next step.
3. Start iTunes
4. Hold the Home button down and keep holding it down while you plug your iPod back into your computer.
5. Keep holding the button down until iTunes tells your "that an iPod in Recovery mode has been detected".
6. Let go of the button and follow the on screen instructions to restore the touch. -
Lightroom CC (2015) will not launch after install removed and re installed and re boot nothing!
Lightroom CC 2015 was installed today via Creative Cloud but will not open, removed program and re installed still nothing. Did a reboot and still nothing. Creative Cloud says that it is installed.

KentUpdate: the trick is to try it over and over and over again. CC desktop warns it wants me to register my product and complete a profile (bizarre.) But it is updating the catalog now so I presume it will work.
Have same problem. Shows installed; I found "Adobe LIghtroom.app" which was installed today 1.51gb; when I click on it it flashes and then nothing. I restarted the mac, restarted the CC app, nothing. Very frustrating and makes me wonder if the Cloud solved any problems for me.

ITunes will not launch - can't uninstall Quicktime
I'm really, really annoyed with iTunes.
Rebuilt computer and installed iTunes 7 on a fresh config after antivirus software and firewall were installed. Had sound problems but managed to fix them.
Rebooted and tried to open up iTunes - only to get an error, rebooted again, same thing. Tried opening Quicktime - same. Tried Quicktime settings from control panel - a Fatal error has occured.
Uninstalled iTunes, with an eye to trying to install it again. That worked, but when I tried to uninstall Quicktime it got half way, then "A fatal error has occured". Tried downloading and installing Quicktime without iTunes - that wouldn't even run.
Tried iTunes install anyway, but got the same problems as before. Tried v.6.5 - but that claimed the freshly downloaded file from Apple was corrupt.
I now cannot uninstall or use Quicktime, cannot use iTunes or update my iPods and am really fed up with Apple over this shoddy update.
I've searched through the support pages, but cannot find a fix for this problem.
I'd be happy to try any fixes that might be around, especially if it means I can get v.6.5 on my machine (which worked fine!)
For now, I'm going to be searching out another player for my audio and video.

Illustrator CC for Mac trial will not launch
I have downloaded and installed the trial version of Illustrator CC for Mac. When I try to launch it. the icon flashes for a couple seconds and then disappears. The application will not launch.

Elements 12 will not launch (either)
I have been using Elements since version 3. It has been a great program - until version 10 arrived. It works, but not satisfactorily. If I quit the program it will not launch unless I reboot, and the welcome screen does not launch at all.
Version 11 never worked. Task manager shows that it is loading, but nothing else happens. No error messages.The Editor seems to work, though, but the Organizer does not. So for a year I have been very frustrated, not being able to use the program I had paid for. Nevertheless I bought version 12, and hoped that this version would work. Bur so far I have had no success. The Editor launches, but the Welcome screen and the Organizer do not. I am using Win7 64 bit, 8 Gb ram. None of the suggestions in this forum have been to any help. So what do I do? ØivindI have tried different suggestions - especially to make PSE 11 to work. Deinstalling and reinstalling and running the organizer.exe file as administrator from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 11 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe" (this works in PSE 10). There is no status.dat and psa.prf to delete, they were probably never created in PSE 11 and PSE 12. I have posted the log file from PSE 11 - it is very short:

Something happens when "Begin AMT Library calls" is running in PSE 11 and 12. I do not know what this is, and no one have commented this in my earlier postings. I have been adviced to run a utility called " Adobe Creative suite cleaner tool", but I am afraid that it will remove my PSE catalog as well, and that would be very inconvenient. After updating to the AMD 13.1 drivers, on my 5770, Firefox will not launch; it does, however, show in the task manager. I should note that it will start in Windows safe mode; when I had it open in safe mode, I used that time to disable all plugins, add-ons, extensions, and created a new profile. This did not help. I also tried launching Firefox in to its safe mode, and had no luck with this either.
I experienced this problem once before, when trying to update to a previous version. I believe I was moving from 12.1 to 12.4, but I'm not 100% sure of that. Ultimately, my solution then was to retrograde back to my previous driver. The steps mentioned in the previous paragraph did not help at that time, not did a complete reinstall.
15 years of computer repair experience, and this has me baffled.

AMD 5770 graphics, running Catalyst 13.1By any chance, did you disable Firefox's use of hardware graphics acceleration? To avoid a round-trip through Windows Safe Mode, you could try adding these to your prefs.js file while Firefox is closed.
To quickly open the folder with the correct prefs.js file, you can use
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Because Firefox may overwrite change to this file at shutdown, you should edit it after closing Firefox and allowing a few moments for Firefox to finish updates to the files.
These are the preferences I think are most relevant:
user_pref("gfx.content.azure.enabled", false);
user_pref("gfx.direct2d.disabled", true);
