Aperture wants me to create a new Apple account when I try to purchase a photo book.

When I try to purchase a photo book that I have created in Aperture 3, a screen comes up asking me to create an Apple account, which of course I already have. Even changing passwords doesn't help. I worked on the book at an Apple store, and when this problem arose, even the store personnel couldn't solve it. Can't get past this step to buy the book.

So I just had this same problem (kept failing with "try again later"), and after trying a number of workarounds including removing my apple ID payment method (and wasting 2 hours of my life), I finally got it to work by creating a new account. You'll need a second email address. I'd have to rate the purchasing experience a 0 out of 10...

Recently we bought a Mac and created a new apple account for her. How do I synched her phone with new apple account and get access to the music library under my account on the new MAC laptop before I update her phone to the new OS?

You can continue to share an Apple ID for purchases.
Sign her in to her new account here:
Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (Keep on Phone if you want to transfer contacts, calendars, etc...) then sign in with her new ID
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Apple ID > Sign out then in with new
Settings > FaceTime > Apple ID > Sign out then in with new
Use the same Apple ID here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID

There is no way to consolidate iTunes accounts.
Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content.

Hi ...
Just be cause the account was disabled (Apple ID) doesn't mean you can't reset the password and have access to your iTunes purchases.
Use the iforgot link to reset your password > Apple ID: "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" alert appears

Yes, just go to Settings>App and iTunes store and sign out of existing ID and sing into the other.
The Apple ID is also used in:
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>iCloud
- Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

- You have to log into the account opd do certain things with the purchases like transfer then to your computer.

Try recovering yur PS for the first axccount so y can change the email address.

I am VERY i phone/ computer illederate. I am on my pc, with my sons old (we traded, he wanted my samsung 3) i phone. i cannot do anything, eg. new apps,etc because it comes up with his e mail and asks for password which he forgot. So i went to Verizon and they got me to the pg "create a new apple id" I did everything it asked..then when i got home, thinking i did everythin and I WOULD BE THE NEW "OWNER"...nope. How do I create a new iTunes account when I already have a dysfunctional iTunes account that Apple can't seem to bother fixing?

Apple has no idea how bad their I.D. system is because they have an auto response set up that means they can stay totally uninformed about it unless you are willing to pay $59 for a one-time help service call. I only want to load up my $25 iTunes Gift Card, and to pay $59 for this is not an option for me. The problem is when I try to change my password, the email notification goes to another email address, not the email address I filed with Apple when I opened my account and there is nothing in my account setup that allows me to change this. Apple apparently does not want me to purchase or use an iTunes Gift Card, because I won't use it until Apple fixes this problem they have with their system and everytime I try to get support I get an auto response that is of no help at all; the account password change notification still goes to an email address that is not mine.

I have experienced the exact same problem. There is no good solution to these poorly designed and overly complex login protocols. After unsuccessfully trying to retrieve my password or change my password I finally set up a new email account, a new Apple ID and a new iTunes account.
I know it is not a good solution, but it worked.

I have had an apple id account for a few years that is shared by myself and my family. It includes 3 ipod touches, 1 ipod nano, and 1 ipad. All of the devices are synced to each other and settings keep getting changed around between them, which is becoming an annoyance. I would like to create 2 separate apple id accounts, and keep my existing one, is this possible? Couldn't agree more... the folks who are getting penalized for this are the early adopters of .Mac/iCloud dating from the days when the only way to implement a "family" account was to use aliases. Now all my kids' / my wife's name aliases sit in my account, unable to move. I guess the good news is that if I delete them nobody else will get them, but this seems a pretty poor consolation.
Would it really be so difficult to implement a "move this alias to another iCloud account" option that requires the "sender" and "receiver" to exchange some sort of code to implement the transation in order to prevent fraud?

Now history repeats itself and I've a new iPhone 4 that I want to load with data from both old and new accounts. Do I need to just go to the Genius bar next time I'm in town or is there some way to log into each account, back up the data and merge to the new account?

Actually not trying to merge the accounts, but back up the DATA i have stored in those accounts. Once I've pulled the many songs I purchased under the old account I'll burn them to something and delete the old account... and I think I've just answered my own question.
i.e. Don't try to merge anything, just salvage music and other data (contacts, notes)

By 'can't access anything' you mean ... ?
You can't reset or delete an account, you can only remove any personal info from it and stop using it.
Did you have an account previously ? If you did, and you had bought/downloaded content from the store with it, then that content will remain tied to that account - using that account should give you access to some/all of its previous purchases.
