Aperture with Wacom Bamboo

Hey All,
Do any of you use the Bamboo tablet to work in Aperture. I'm having a terrible time with it. It must not be supported for this program. It does quite well in Photoshop of course, so maybe I'll keep it for that. Thanks.

Hi,
I just went in and did a dodge then burn on a 6MP D40 raw file using the bamboo, and it tracked fine. The only config I did was to install the wacom drivers and set up the default sensitivity in the system preferences (Other/Pen Tablet).
The bamboo behaves consistently across apps - Corel Painter, Photoshop, Aperture, Tiffen DFX, so not sure why it would be having a hissy fit in Aperture, unless it's Aperture that's the problem. Are you sure the mouse works okay in dodge and burn?
Regards,
Calx

  • Possibilities in iWork 08 (Pages) with wacom bamboo design tablet?

    Hi
Since yesterday i have wacom bamboo to draw and navigate by hand.
My Question: The title says everything...
... which functions offers me iWork in connection with a tablet (widhout Ink)?
I like to write on keyboard and after draw Sketches under the text.
    Thanks for answers.

    Just FYI regarding Scribbles:
Scribbles makes it really easy to get a quick sketch or signature into Pages. Just draw something in Scribbles, then hit Command+C, which will copy a bitmap of your drawing to the clipboard (CommandOptionC will copy a higher-resolution bitmap).
Then, just switch to Pages and Command+V (Paste).
You can even use the unregistered version of Scribbles for this, as the unregistered version only puts a watermark at the bottom of the image, and is super easy to crop out in Pages.

  • Problems with Wacom Bamboo pen and Lightroom 2.5

When I use my tablet pen and hover over a photograph in lightroom 2.5 64, Windows gives me an error message that Adobe Lightroom has closed due to error.  This does not occur if I use my finger on the tablet instead.  The touch and pen work with all other applications I use.
Any ideas as I can still return the tablet to Best Buy?
I have Windows Home Premium 64, Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch with the upgraded driver for vista 64.  I also have Elements 8.

Sorry, I have no solution. Just want you to know that the same configuration works for me. The driver I am using is version 5.2.0.7,

  • Need help for a problem with Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet and LR5

When using the advanced spor removal tool in LR5 using the pen of a Bamboo tablet it only goes in straight lines and reacts very sluggish!
When I use finger input on the same tablet (usingit then as a touchpad), the tool behaves normally and very responsive. If I go in any direction or try to paint an area it just follow and updates instanlty.
Is it an LR5 bug or problem with the pen tablet drives?!
I'm running a core i7 Thinkpad, 8 gigs of RAM.. Windows 8.1 Pro..

  • Lightroom 2.5 with Wacom Bamboo touch & pen

I'm using LR2.5 English on a Mac with a French keyboard. I want to be able to use the Wacom speed keys to change the size of the brush when doing local edits. When I enter the right or left square bracket ] [ - either via the keyboard or a Wacom speed key -, with the brush active, the message "Increase rating" or "decrease rating" flashes on the screen. In other words, the square brackets seem to be sent to the wrong module.
On the mac French keyboard, the square brackets are not shown on the keys: you need to get them with the Alt Shift keys.
I'd most appreciate any advice on how to get the brackets sent to the right place to modify the brush size.
    Bob

Windows 7 has built in Touch pad adjustment choices. Did you try playing with them?
Also posters in other threads reported that removing the Wacom drivers, rebooting, the "manually" installing the Wacom drivers fixed a lot of issues with Windows 7/PS CS5. Something with auto-installing the drivers was borking things up. The posters even called Wacom and Wacom walked them through the driver install.

  • Need help with Wacom Bamboo Splash Zoom/Scroll Function

In photoshop, and other non-adobe programs, holding ALT and the scroll/pan button on my stylus works in the same way as holding Alt and scrolling using the mouse wheel. However, in Illustrator, the only way I have managed to zoom in and out is using Ctrl and the pan/scroll button, which brings up the zoom tool, which I find annoying to use regularily. Is there any way for me to change Illustrator's interaction mode to mimic this function in Photoshop, or is there some function in the stylus' setup which I can change?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Wacom Bamboo Tablet with Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 install on Newly bought Windows 8.1 laptop

So I bought a Wacom bamboo tablet a while back when I had windows 7, which it came with Adobe Photoshop 8 on a CD with product code. I upgraded and bought a new laptop with windows 8 and no CD drive. While I managed to re download the things needed to make my tablet work from their site, I realized I can't download Adobe elements 8 for my laptop because of two things:
    1) I have no CD drive
    2) Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 seems to only be for windows 7 and under.
My question is Is there any way for me to get this back on my laptop or am I out of luck in that department? I'm not quite sure I can manage the money to purchase the newer Elements for windows 8. Is it hopeless for me to work with this program again?

You can try this version of pse 8 from the adobe site:
    Download Photoshop Elements products | 9, 8, 7
As far i know know, pse 8 should work on windows 8.1

  • Help! Blur tool issues with Adobe CC/Windows 8/Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet

Hi everyone, would really appreciate your help with something frustrating. I have been using Adobe CC quite happily since it was released, but after upgrading to a faster desktop that runs Windows 8, for some reason the Blur tool is playing up. I've upgraded drivers and cleared caches but it keeps happening sporadically. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it wont. My pc isn't the fastest in the world (ie not video editing speeds) but is perfectly competent to run Photoshop; I've run the program on slower machines and am used to the lag that happens there, so this is something different.
What happens; the blur tool is slow, and inaccurate to the extent of being unusable. When I attempt to blur out a section, for example a section of background, it will instead blur out a totally different section of the photo, for example, the face of the subject.
I use a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet CTE 450; I have upgraded its drivers as well.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated; this is only a small thing but is slowly driving me mad! I don't use the blur tool constantly so it isn't preventing me from doing anything, but it is handy when it works and extremely irritating when it won't!
    Thanks in advance!!

Also adding; the same error happens when I use a mouse, which seems to indicate it isn't the tablet's fault.

  • Use iPad as a 2nd monitor or graphics tablet with Photoshop/Wacom Bamboo Pen?

Can iPad be used as a 2nd monitor or graphics tablet with Photoshop/Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet?
I called Wacom as asked this question but the guy was clueless, and I'm sure they'd rather have you spend $1000 on their Cintiq instead of $29.95 on a Pen.... I figure I'll get more use out of an iPad and save around $400...
Or maybe this is jsut a far fetched idea...

    Hiya
I am not quite sure of how this product works, but it might be wortha try:

  • There's a issue when I scrolling Firefox (4 or 5 for mac) with my Bamboo Wacom Tablet, it doesn't work fine. Why?

When I scrolling firefox the scroll doesn't down completly. It stops. I must click the scrollbar and drag it. Even on safe mode.
I'm using only Google Chrome for that. :(

Same here. Firefox 5, Mac, with a bamboo tablet, as well as the trackpad on my macbook pro, scrolling is laggy, or unresponsive. PLEASE FIX ASAP. This one bug is keeping me from completely moving back to FF from Chrome!

  • Problem with Wacom Tablet and Brush Tool

When using the brush tool with an Intuos 5 tablet (mostly to edit layer masks), PS will become unresponsive to pen input - that is, I can't draw. The cursor moves, and I can switch tools with the keyboard, but pressing with the pen to tablet does not register. If I click with the mouse, it will register. If I use the spacebar to get the grabber hand then click and drag, the pen will again become responsive. If I click on a palette with the pen, I can draw again.
I have been in touch with Wacom, and at their suggestion, I have:
    1. Downgraded the driver to the previous version.
    2. Reinstalled the driver.
    3. Connected the tablet directly to the computer rather than using a hub or wireless kit
This problem also occurred on my previous computer (mac pro 8x2.8ghz, os 10.8)
When using the same tablet with my laptop, the problem does not occur, nor does it occur when using a Bamboo tablet on the Mac Pro.
I don't see the problem occurring with other tools, but I don't use them as frequently.
One other thing I should mention is that I'm working on very large files (2-6G) but do have 64G of memory installed.
    Currently using:
    Mac Pro 8x2.93ghz
    Mac OS 10.9.1
    PS 13.0.6
I've been back and forth with Wacom via email for about a mothh, and I suspect they are out of troubleshooting options. They suggest the problem is with PS, but I'm not really sure.

    Hi CoGordo4,
Make certain you have "New Art Has Basic Appearance" checked in the Appearance Panel menu.
Also realize that the "Basic" brush, isn't really a brush at all. It simply removes all brush appearances from a stroke.

  • I am trying to install the driver for a Wacom Bamboo Pad. The dmg from Wacom downloadsand will opens, but when I try to install it the message "Install Wacom Tablet.pkg" can't be opened because the Identity of the developer cannot be confirmed"

iMac late 2009 3,06GHz Intel Core Duo; 500gb hard drive, 12gb memory. OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)
'“Install Wacom Tablet.pkg" can't be opened because the Identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.'
I have been trying to install the driver for a Wacom Bamboo Pad. There are several driver packages listed on the website (the device is supplied ready to run with Windows devices) and I have tried tried downloading all the available drivers which apply to my set-up. Some will not open at all and I get a 'Damaged' message on my screen. Of the ones which open, I can download the .dmg and expand it but when clicked it opens as a window with multiple choice of languages and an icon which instructs you to click to open.
If I do this some versions repeat the 'damaged' message but the later ones generate a window saying:-
'“Install Wacom Tablet.pkg" can't be opened because the Identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.' - this is as far as I can get it to go; most frustrating!
I understand that Apple's security updates have recently included an alteration that causes this result, and that there is supposed to be a legal (i.e. Apple sanctioned) workaround to allow files like this to be opened. If this is so, can anyone enlighten me?

    Many Thanks, Kurt.
I knew I'd seen the solution you've provided somewhere - either in MacWorld or MacFormat - but couldn't remember the Gatekeeper bit!
I shall save it somewhere VERY safe now in case this happens again …
You have made an old man very happy and saved me from worrying that senile decay had suddenly set in. (I was 70 last week so you might understand the situation from that.)
    Best wishes

  • Trouble With New Bamboo Tablet

Just installed a new Wacom Bamboo graphic tablet, and can't get the 'drag/drop" to work properly.  Was looking back in Google, and see several similar issues back in 2010, but nothing recent.  Anyone else have this problem??

Yes, I'm using the touch functions, and I actually got the "grab" function to work - it's just really particular how I do it!  Perhaps some subsequent adjustments to movement speed, etc. will help.
Also, the stylus pen does work fine.  I struggled with it for a while before realizing I should turn off the touch function before using the pen!  :>)
